Bad customer service all around the "manager" working on July 8th, 2020 evening, at the customer service/returns/membership area has an overall bad attitude! He questions the customers in a very rude manner, and speaks to ppl of other ethnic backgrounds like they're below him! Being Hispanic himself, I don't think his parents raised him right to be this rude to ppl that pay his employment!! I had another rep help me luckily, but even then he was no help to her! I went and had my annual eye exam at Costco Optometry in Montclair, CA. It was first time and I didn't know what to expect. My appointment was at 1:30 pm on a Saturday so I knew the parking and gas line would be super busy. I got there 30 mins early to fill out paperwork. The front desk staff was friendly. They handed me the paperwork Which outlined all the fees and upgrades I could get. The eye testing was quick and easy. I opted for the retina pictures just to see what's happening with them. I saw the optometrist quickly after that. The Dr was nice, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer my questions. After my questions he walked me to the front desk to check out. Costco has a eyeglass department just outside of the office if you need glasses. It was a good experience and I have up to 3 months to go back for no additional fee should I need to. I recommend going. read more

Store is nice and clean but it's a bit busy and quickly on weekends. There was one checker that was a bit aggressive at self check out when one of our items that was on sale didn't scan she didn't listen to me when I said it didn't scan and shuffled through touching all my items and I looked at him going it didn't scan... told the supervisor then and there because it was uncomfortable I don't know about you guys but I purposely pick items from the back etc that people haven't touched as much and then to have this woman unnecessarily touch everything sprung my ocd into overdrive. They do ask to see your membership when going through the self check out now so be prepared. Nice selection Id go again. read more

Went to Costco yesterday. Many cars, shoppers, and carts. It was busy. I returned the cart after shopping. While going out of the parking lot, I saw this tall man stopped a car and knocked on the window. He handed a phone to the driver. The driver went out of the car and handed it back to the tall man. I saw the phone looks familiar, and I checked mine. Omg! It was missing, I forgot it in the cart. Luckily, we are the next in line waiting at the stop sign. I am in total relief when he handed me the phone. I was driving and does not want to cause traffic. To the tall man, I would like to say thank you and to your team! You saved the day! Holy cow, busy place! Who doesn't love Costco. Apparently, the whole IE lives them too because they were all there when I visited. Nothing exceptional about the place except it is Costco. This place has really poor traffic flow as the gas station is behind the store. People drive to get gas are lost and may nearly run you over. Don't plan to get in and out without cutting someone off or honking your horn. read more

First off, I want to say that Costco has good and reasonably priced food in the food court area. This was also my first time at this location. Today, at 11:15 AM I placed an order for two large pizzas. The girl at the front was kind and told me that the pizzas would be ready at the side window in five minutes. So I sat at the table right in front of the pick up window. I looked at my receipt and saw that it had a number on it. I figured that they would call my number when my order is ready. I see a man at the window cutting pizzas and people getting their orders I assume they ordered prior. I wait 30 minutes until I finally go up and ask to see what was happening. I just gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were busy and behind. When I go up, I told them I had placed an order 30 minutes ago for two pepperoni pizzas. The man with the beard told me that they don't call out the order and I had to come up to the window. Sir, you see me sitting in front of you for 30 minutes. Why don't you think to ask me if I have an order? Or what is the point of having a number on the receipt and how am I supposed to know I'm supposed to go up to the window to get my order? I was told just to pick up my order at that window. Better communication would be appreciated. Just wasted 30 minutes for two freaking pizzas. read more

This review is for the tire department...it is so hard to get an appointment to get an appointment. I went in to see if they can fix my tire because it had a nail in it and air was leaking out. I was told that they were jammed packed and couldn't help me and couldn't get an appointment either because their calendar was full. So, why do you take walk-ins if you're so busy? By far the best customer experience I have had post Pandemic craziness. 10/10 I would recommend to anyone and everyone. If you're a person of color, your reciept is more scrutinized. On more than one occasion this has happened to me after I see a white person in front of me let easily pass the exit, however, each item in my basket gets slowly matched to my reciept. I've complained before to the store, but its fallen on deaf ears. Racism exists at this Costco. read more

Costco itself is great! However, do not go through the phone kiosk!!!!!! They do not give the correct information, sold me a phone, and now I either have to return the phone or pay more, & the only way the mistake was found is because I continued to call as ask if the person who sold me the phone provided me with the correct information. After two weeks of being reassured the sales associate was correct with the information he provided me the manager called me and explained that the sales associate was not correct. So now I can either return my phone or pay more monthly because I was given the incorrect information. So SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DO NOT GO THROUGH THE WIRELESS KISOK. Long Story short, I came here to purchase my regular like groceries etc.. i saw that the cat food was at a great price! I took a picture and sent it to my mom so therefore i threw it in the cart. At this point i added more items to the cart and was rushing, i pay for my Items and when i get home i see that they had charged me double the amount that was listed on the sales floor so like everything else i took it back and THANK GOODNESS i had taken a picture to send it to my mom. So the manager JUSTIN was helping me out and he told me that he was not able to do anything since it was NOT the store fault and THEY NEVER leave labels from previous items. Well i tried to get a price match and he was giving me a hard time. I tried once to prove them wrong and they made it such a big deal that i just asked for a refund instead so then he override the price AFTER i had told him i wanted a refund and was making me feel like it was at my wrong for the miss price. I was not happy at all with the service that i was given. I have pictures to prove that my Item that i has issues with was not the only item that was miss leading. read more

I love Costco. However, I had the worst experience there yesterday. The employees at the front end of the store were rude and they were doing a million membership checks. My sister in law and I usually shop together with one cart and they essentially demanded we show our memberships prior to using the self checkout. And when they found out we were doing two separate transactions, we got a rude comment stating we need to join a "normal line" to do that, when we did not have that much stuff. I went in this morning for laundry soap and fruit . I have NEVER been so pissed off.a big line for water and toilet paper . No one directing what STUPID line I was to get in. Doug over in the tech area was phenomenal! The 5th star comes from the over the top help from Doug. My parent was shopping for a tv and after all my research they decided to take a personal look. Off we went to this Costco to take in all the brightly adjusted full 4k videos showcasing a beauty that will never be matched in the home. Doug was there talking to another couple that hadn't done their research and were going off what was pretty. Doug offered good advice for what they could expect for their price point and expectations. He was on the money with info and honesty. He helped manage their expectations. Stellar work on his part. He helped load the large tv onto a cart so they could roll it to check out. My parent had some additional questions and likes to pay for their information. So while my background is in analysis... they want to hear it from other people. Doug made them feel comfortable and confident in the purchase and again managed expectations. The above and beyond continued past an experience that would be expected in a Best Buy magnolia room. After telling him that we'd be back after going to get an add- on that Costco didn't carry he offered to get it on a cart and have it waiting for us upon return. We held up our side of the agreement and so did he... AND HERE WAS GOING ON LUNCH BREAK! He saw is walk back in and he grabbed another person to help load it up. I brought my family (wifey n 2 gals ) to shop for my wife's store grocery / products for reselling today around 3pm, which is the first time we been to, most of time we go to the Chino Hills location, we decided to check out in 2 different transactions since some for biz use some for own use, wifey owns the kids clothing store so then definitely we picked some kids clothes for resell, the tag at the warehouse showing $6.49 + tax, that made her brought 8 sets to cashier as it could be resell for profit due to difference of pricing marked, however, cashier ( new guy obv ) scanned then indicated its $14+ according to system, so then we asked the "RED VEST SUPERVISOR" Crystal to check the REAL price, she said lets not to waste the time and honor it to cashier, I personally felt embarrassed, felt like we took advantage and tried to get better pricing, so then I asked my wife to take a pix of ACTUAL TAG to show them the proof, so supervisor Crystal honored it , however, before she did so, she said " THIS IS FOR RESALE , MAKE SURE NOT FOR YOUR TWO Girls" that seriously hurt our feeling as the shopping experience, how awful just to shop for resell for business nowadays, easily to get accused just cause kids on summer school and brought for shopping together, hopefully this type of incident wont happen again in the near future to anyone. This review is for the manager at Costco, Monclair. There was apparently a mistake in a price tag. Instead of honoring the price tag, the manger immediately had the sign taken off and blamed on the customer for interpreting it wrong. The issue here is not the mistake itself, but the way how the manager handled their mistakes. It seems hard for this manager to admit their mistake. I have been to this Costco for more than 20 years and this is the first time this kind of issue was resolved this way. read more

I love the staff in the pharmacy. They are so kind and helpful, although the last time I went there the greeter at the door stopped me and ask me if I had a membership there! You know that this store is very busy. I told her no and that I was going to the pharmacy. She looked at me and said boldly, " next time say that you are going to the pharmacy!" WTH was that for? I am African American and I felt insulted. As many people coming through the door, she asked no one else. I was dressed appropriately and neat, always! If my medication was not dispensed there I would not go there. I can't change pharmacy, they are the only one that carry the medicine. read more

Typically I would not write a review on Costco but on multiple occasions now I have bought steaks from their meat department and the cut quality is poor. Most recently in a package of 9 top sirloin steaks there were 3 door stop or wedge shaped steaks. For those that don't understand, it is when the meat cutter flips up the flat end of a steak cut and underneath there is a triangular cut . Bad ,bad and disappointing . This I would expect from other retailers. Hopefully costco management addresses the shenanigans at the expense of their customers . STEAKS SHOULD BE FLAT BOTH SIDES!!! read more
