We've seriously braved Québec's -25° two Decembers ago. So much so, when we came back to NY, hubs and I laughed because once you experience that type of bone-chilling weather, you're set for anything. And visiting Montréal consecutively in back-to-back winters for 3 years now, their Winters are still cold- but not Québec cold. So what does it boil down to? A warm AF all-around bitchin coat. I set my mind up to visit Nordstrom at The Westchester, but before I even got to Aritzia (on the 2nd floor), their long puffer display coats caught my eye. Aritzia has an industrial type feel- but the warm lighting, made the store feel cozy. I was so caught up in finding a coat, I didn't even check if there's a men's section. Greeting was nice and Aiesha(?) was helpful. The shop carries their own in-house brands as well as other labels including Levi's and so many others. I'll be honest, I asked her to hold a long puffer coat I picked out because quite frankly-I didn't want to spend more than $200 on a coat. Yet considering their quality and brand- I squeamishly felt their $398.00 (excluding tax) price tag went hand in hand. However, having said that, I also wanted to look elsewhere and see if I can find a coat for a fraction of what Aritzia's coats cost- then perhaps circle back and come back here. Sure enough, I didn't see anything I liked at Nordstrom. So Aritzia was it. I know all down long coats aren't created equal. Plus I love a specific pop collar or cowl-style that suits with my style. Hubs dished out the $431 for my long yellow down coat- but it's so worth it! The only way I see this is that coats are going to be pricey if you're looking at good quality ones. Plus this is an investment for years to come. I think I'm already hooked!

My first time here and decided what I can find useful to fill in my cart for about 50 bucks total .As I roam aisle to aisle , section to section , I grab a little of this and that from the oversized shelves . Stuff is more then a dollar tree buck, a bit more but the quality is better from home goods , personal items, party stuff, toys , stuff like cleaning products , stationary supplies and much more . I went over my budget and most likely I really don't need most of my purchases but I can also give some stuff away ,well maybe not the fridge magnets , collapsible laundry bag , door welcome mats and the neon desk palm tree light set .Ok maybe I will keep everything and that's good enough for 4 stars on my yelp meter.
