    Wine and champagne selection
    Elijah T.

This Costco seems to be one of the better locations. Parking lot is huge and doesn't seem overly crowded which is nice. Costco has tons of selections as far as home items, food, electronics , and technology. I've been able to save money by shopping at Costco because they sell items in bulk. Recently an employee helped me find an item I couldn't find. They were kind enough to walk me across the store to the approximate location. Lastly, I believe that this location deserves recognition for being very clean and hygienic. I've always seen the isles clean and bathrooms clean as well. Go get that chicken bake and hot dog !

I love Costco, in general, and this one in particular. First, it's near my home so I don't have to drive all over the valley to get to it. Second, this one has a gas station, which I can really use. Finally, these are great stores and are well run. With their legendary $1.50 hot dogs at the snack bar and the inexpensive rotisserie chickens in the back, I somehow come here looking for a few items and leave having bought quite a bit more. This store isn't quite as crazy as some other San Jose locations - for whatever reasons the customers are not as hyper competitive -- so I enjoy the experience of coming here quite a bit more. Also, since I've been retired, I get to shop when others are at work, so that makes it great, too. I love their periodic specials -- for example they'll bring a great big semi-truck of Christmas trees in for the holidays and sell beautiful noble fir trees at a great price. Or maybe they'll be a road show with some great camping or cooking item. It's a great way to buy something at a slightly better price that you might not have gone for somewhere else. Heck, I even come here for my vaccinations and prescriptions - the pharmacy is super efficient and I never have to wait too long. The return policy is generous, and their cash back policy for members always gives me a check with a nice reason to come back. 20+ years as a Costco member and you guys still rock! And this store is the best in San Jose!

I stopped by today after an appointment. This is a newer Costco. Since I don't live by it, I don't go often. But since I was in the area, I thought I'd stop by. They had a lot of Christmas decorations and lights out. There were some really cute peppermint candy lights. I got a few boxes of those. Found my favorite iced tea there and got that too. I was surprised to find the Dubai chocolates. I've been looking for those for months. Check out was crazy so I opted for the self checkout. A Costco employee helped me and I was done fast. You can't beat the prices here and the customer service is top notch.

Now $3.99 for Super Unleaded 91 octane.

The Super Unleaded 91 Octane Gas at this Costco is $3.99 per gallon. OMG! No other gas station is cheaper. The regular unleaded 87 Octane is like $3.49 that is totally cheap for all of your cars.

Food quality has definitely declined at this location. Compared to other Costco branches, especially the one in North San Jose, this one falls short. At North SJ, you can actually see the team making the pizzas fresh before they go in the oven. In the 8+ years I went there, I never had a single complaint. Since moving to South SJ, though, I've noticed a consistent drop in quality over the past 3 years. The crust is overly thick, the pizza often comes out burnt, dry, and often cold, and the pepperoni distribution is uneven. It's disappointing, especially knowing how much better it could be. This is a photo of a pepperoni pizza on a Thursday at 11:00 AM.

Plain Croissant - Strawberries & Brown Sugar Cream Cheese
    Kelli K.

The best thing about buying croissants from Costco is that you can spice them up without the hassle of knowing how to make/bake croissants yourself first. Previously I tried making a cookie croissant and now I made a strawberry croissant. For the strawberry croissant, I spread brown sugar cream cheese on the toasted croissant then I added slices strawberries and powdered sugar. It was delicious! For the cooke croissant, you add cookie dough to the croissant and then you bake it until the cookie is done/to your liking. Enjoy!

Friday 5:00 and no lines for gas
    Renee L.

I stopped in for gas on a Friday at 5 o'clock, and there were no lines. This Costco Station is immaculate and extremely easy in and easy out right off Great Oaks Pkwy & 85. It's my go to place for gas because the prices are always better than in my local area.

    Rude employees at Costco

I love this place except for these 2rude employees. I told her that the peel garlic I bought from this store was green and about to grow its own plant and showed it to her. She picked the lowest price from no where and decided that was what I purchased. I bought it for $17 but she returned $12. Not only that started to talk sh!t while the client still there with her co worker. I was shocked to hear both of them talking down to the client when I was still there.

    CostCo Beef Jerky

CostCo Beef Jerky Taste like card board. I was going to throw it out , but my wife intends to take it back for refund. Long story short. I am not going to renew said membership. I do better at Walmart and Safeway......

Ask the Community - Costco Wholesale

How strict are they with dogs being in the store that are not service dogs?

    No dogs

Can I order pizza online and have it delivered? Is that being done with costco pizza? Love their pizza and this is for a kid's birthday party :-)

Not that I'm aware of. The best you can do is call and order ahead and pick-up at a date/time tbd.

Do they sell filet mignon and for how much?

Yes we do. I work for Costco. Not all warehouses carry Filet Mignon. Some carry it Year round, while others don't. Some carry it only seasonally, around holidays. Is to your advantage to call your local Costco and they will let you know whether they… Read more

Are the timings of Costco photo center same as Costco store? Does this Costco have photo center?

Photo Centers are open same time as regular warehouse hours. But some Bay Area Costcos do not have Photo Centers! Great Oaks and Senter Rd are two that no longer have Photo Centers.

    Will Costco open today?

Costco's are closed a Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

None of the parts were available locally at Home Depot, my go-to, because I needed an odd-size, 1-1/4. So I went to Rubenstein's a bought 600+ dollars of parts, and I told the counter guys "this stuff is probably all coming back, I wish you had a restocking fee because it's only fair that I pay for borrowing the parts." they just waved me off and assured me come on back we'll take care of you. At the end of the day, only the most expensive part, the valve, and 1 other part was needed to close up the line, finish the job, and put a smile on my customer's face. Two days later, I returned everything else and the guys were unfailingly upbeat and helpful. For a plumbing store, in this particular situation, this is unusual. I left feeling good about the whole process.

Charged $70, i didn't even mind knowing so because they helped me find me the part I thought would fit. I doubled checked with employee 2x that I could return if its not a fit. Returned it because it caused my warm water to be just cold. They straight up said no because i installed it. I had them ask the manager twice and he came out said no, he didn't listen to anything and just said employee informed me I can't return it when i purchased it. So scammy, I didn't reply. Just left and even left the cartridge, manager replied with a snarky attitude "thank you!" Didn't care much for the money and would never come back and will refer all friends and family not to visit. Also horrible service, I waited with one employee at front and 4 ppl in office staring at front.

They aren't designed for making baby food, almond butter from almonds or grinding frozen meat into paste for making cha lua or hotdogs. Can smell the burning electric motor smell from home appliances. This smell is toxic and emits cancer causing chemicals. The commercial appliances here don't have that problem. Costs more but you have equipment which fits the task. 2) The home pizza ovens which are popular require peels to get the pizze in and out of the 800 degree oven. They sell both metal and wood versions. The pizza stones for home ovens are much cheaper here than Amazon because it costs more to ship heavy items and AMZN adjusts the price to reflect that even though shipping is "free". Prices better than online and you can see the quality of the product. They have both 16 and 12 inch sizes for peels, etc.. The newer lower cost electric/gas home pizza ovens are 12. They have bread baking pans and detroit pizza pans in stock! No need to go online to get them. The long handles for pizza peels make them unattractive for shipping. If they are shipped then price is 2x of what you see here. 3) Cutting boards, they have the fancy John Boos wood cutting board considered by many to be the best made to cheaper and lighter bamboo boards and poly ones. All come in larger sizes. Not the smaller sizes sold in costco. Much better variety here. Same comment as above for pizza stones. Cheaper than online because heavy items are expensive to ship. Will never get a sub $50 price for a large cutting board online but you can here. 4) Kitchen utensils, heat proof spatulas, long handled stainless steel soup spoons, slotted spoons; stainless steel serving tongs, thermometers, everthing 1/3 - 1/4 the cost of williams sonoma with more useful design like longer handles for deep stock pots. WS doesn't sell long handled spoons. spatulas, because most home cooks have cheaper small pots and skillets. 5) steamers, they have larger sized bamboo and stainless steel steamers for making dimsum. The Asian markets have a limited selection of steamers and WS or costco will never sell steamers. Designed for Asian cuisine. Steaming much healthier then other forms of cooking. 6) Glassware, they have the larger Picardie, 16oz+ in stock! They don't break. Most RS stores only sell cheaper imitations but they are the same price and the Picardie glasses here and lousy quality. 7) Plastic serverware; they sell larger dimension plastic serving platters; good for parties or home use. The larger ones made of porcelain are too heavy and difficult to store. They only go up to a certain size because of cost. Recently most serverware is more than 100-300 each because of inflation. They see reduced sales because of the increased prices and most places are transitioning to not carrying these higher cost items.

Excellent selection and friendly knowledgeable service. I have shopped here several times. Home…read moreCook
