NEVER SHOP HERE. Bought about $45 worth of stuff, receipt showed $62. Not only did the "cash only" cashier add an extra copy of an item we bought, she added $10 to its price, and for every other item, where the sign said, for example, $16.99, the receipt showed she charged us $18something. When we caught the problem, she was VERY slow to refund us, probably because she couldn't figure out how to undo the fake, overpriced item. We don't know whether she's incompetent or doesn't expect people to check their receipts, but NEVER SHOP HERE! read more

This store is way too expensive . Stay away from this business . For a box of ketchup packets (1000 counts) . They charge you $44 . The same exact case of Ketchup is @ $27 at restaurant depot. Everything here is twice as much as elsewhere . Surprised , they are getting away with it. read more

After calling a few places for a very specific item + brand I called this place to see if they had it they said they did I confirmed over the phone twice to make sure it was the correct brand plus product. Once I got there which I drove 20 minutes for they didn't have it at all. Not only did nobody claim to give me the incorrect information but also asked if I called the right place so I showed them their number. Wasted my time and money if they just didn't lie to me. This store is kind of like a hidden gem. I came here during Dia De los muertos as I needed more supplies for decor and I was given a tip they'd have items and they did! They have a lot of party supplies and kitchen supplies like food, napkins, soap, laundry soap. I also ended up finding clear glass mugs which is what I was looking for recently. I am a huge soda fan and I came to this place hoping to find the specific type of soda, made with sugar, that I like the most. I did not find it here becausea it is extremely hard-to-find but what I did find here was other sodas and other goodies that are equally hard-to-find at totally reasonable prices! This place is located in the heart of the area where most of the Hispanic people in San Jose live and therefore you'll find a lot of Hispanic goods here, and a very little of anything else. The sodas here are mostly sodas that are sold in HIspanic supermarkets and restaurants and the list never ends. Mexican Coke, Mexican Pepsi, Mexican Sprite, Mexican Fanta Orange, Jarritos in every flavor, you name it they got it! It is a veritable smorgasbord for the soda fan and if you like your soda made with REAL CANE SUGAR like I have you have found your Holy Grail, smack dab in the middle of San Jo! I plan on coming here later this week to buy some great sodas that I cannot get easily and since I feel like I want to splurge I'll get some yummy Mexican candy too! The best answer I can give whenever people ask me what the heck CC&C is I always answer, "It's the poor man's Costco." This is an overly-simplified answer, of course. CC&C is much more than that; it's also a restaurant/party supply store as well. Here's my Top 6 list of favorite things at CC&C: 1) They have the most extensive collection of Torani syrup (they also sell the pumps, too!) that I've ever seen; including quite a few sugar-free varities. If Torani makes it, they have it! 2) Great selection & prices on charcoal briquettes. They have the standard Kingsford, and also carry huge bags of Mesquite charcoal. 3) Their restaurant/kitchen supply area is fantastic. The have everything you could want and then some. From basics like cutting boards and tongs to HUGE stock pots that you could simmer a small hippo in! 4) Nice selection of Mexican and Asian candies and treats. My favorites are the "Yan Yan" and the "Hello Panda" cookies. 5) Nice selection of hot sauces, dried chiles and spices. As someone who likes to add a little "taste" in their cooking, this place is the cure. 6) Great selection of party supplies at terrific prices; they have just about everything you could need to throw a children's party, fiesta or luau. There's much more than what I've listed above, but you'll just have to go in for yourself and see. This place is so fun. It really is a cheap Hispanic version of Costco. They have a good amount of items supplies from food to cleaning. Definitely a place for business owners. I was disappointed how some of their chips have close expiration dates, like best to eat within the next month. Good cheaper alternative to Party City if you ever need party supplies. read more

Allright - you have to like buying non-fresh American and Mexican things in bulk, but there is a lot to like about this hidden warehouse south of downtown Jose. This place mainly caters to small restaurants and business owners, but joe average can walk on in without a membership card and buy the same stuff (albeit we pay taxes on the items). If you like shopping costco then this probably isn't the place for you. It is more like a dustier version of smart & final, but if you need inexpensive party supplies store then this is the place (we aren't talking about Silicon Valley fancy parties). Best finds were the Pinatas and the Mexican pinwheels (that's what I call them, but after shopping here I learned the offical spanish name is Duros). Duros are the funky crunchy wheel like snacks you see sold by a guy pushing a cart in the spanish speaking areas of San Jose. read more

Very cool find. It's a mini Costco without the lines and without membership dues. A warehouse on Keyes between 3rd and 5th streets near downtown SJ that caters to restaurants and small businesses. So if you need anything from containers to cleaning supplies to serving dishes/trays to chafing dishes to party supplies to basic food items, this is the place. I was sent here because I needed to buy bulk popcorn for my daughter's end-of-year party at school. They had that for $9.38. I am not great with paying attention to prices, but I bought a few items because I was pretty sure they were good deals. To give you an idea, here's what I purchased today: $2.77 for regular sized jars of Ragu $3.19 for 40 count gallon Ziploc bags $3.13 for 50 count quart Ziploc bags $6.68 for 1.25 lb. jar of sesame seeds (I know that it's about the same prices for a tiny jar at the grocery store---I use these a lot to coat tofu and ahi tuna before searing them.) $3.77 for 10oz. A-1 steak sauce Definitely a place worth checking out so you know what they carry the next time you need something and don't want to hassle with Costco. read more

Stopped by Central Cash & Carry purely out of curiousity, not to mention it was perfect timing as the s/o was looking to buy 5lb bags of Mike & Ike's, Jolly Ranchers and other hard candy. If you're planning a party, I'd totally suggest stopping by here, you'll find just about everything you need, from paper plates, beverages, chicken wings, salad dressing, pinatas, decorations all the way to cleaning supplies for after the party! Not to mention, you won't lose your sanity here like you would shopping Costco on a weekend! Their prices are pretty comparable to Costco and Smart & Final and they offer a wide variety of items, some you won't find at Costco or S&F, including a lot of Mexican grocery items and sweets. My dad sent me for ice to this place. One of the staff members saw me struggling to get some big ice cubes and got a male staff member to assist me right away. Overall, I was having a great experience and noticed the abundant variety of party and cleaning supplies they offered. I would have given this palace 5 stars but unfortunately, the cashier who rung me up was extremely rude. She was visibly upset for unknown reasons to me and seemed to be bothered that I was new to the place and had asked where the line started. I randomly found this place after moving to San Jose. If you like to cook, like crafts, or like to buy decorations for small parties, COME HERE. They sell things in bulk (like costco). It's like a wholesale store for caterers & mom/pop restaurants, good thing is you don't need a wholesale card to get in. YES! I bought a pack of 50 clear plastic containers (like the containers you get to fill olives in at Whole foods or buy salsa/hummus at Trader Joes) for $3 and bought the lids for another $3. It's like buying 50 Gladwares pieces for $6. You know how gladware costs about $3-5 for 4 pieces. I like to cook & prepare foods to freeze so these containers come in handy. Everthing you would need to decorate for a house/kids/new years eve party etc is here and most party items cost $1. YES! You just have to come in to see what they sell & the prices! read more

My dad sent me here to get some small plastic cups. When he initially mentioned Cash & Carry--I was like, "Huh? What and where is that?!" Holy behold, Central Cash & Carry is pretty much a mini wholesale retailer that sells the most random items. Their items range from restaurant supplies to soft drinks to soy sauce. Everything was wholesale, so they were priced very low. I purchased about 30 plastic cups for about $4? Yeah...pretty cheap if you ask me. Today I went to the store Central Cash & Carry. I seen my co-worker in the store who told me that they had hand sanitizer. We were both in need of it considering we are both health care workers. When we went up to pay. They refused to let me buy the hand sanitizer simply because they saw us talking in the store. We both explained that we weren't relatives and we didn't live together we were simply just some co-workers. They saw us in our uniforms and we then explained that we are health care workers and we are in need of hand sanitizer. They still refused to let us buy it because the "manager" said no. Great store, careless staff, and terrible manager. So wanted to give a special thanks to the manager... Manager and cashier refused to take refund despite not saying it at the time of purchase. Now they have signs up but over $30 there's no returns. A dustier version of Smart & Final was a good way to describe this store (also need to mention no foods that can't be kept in the pantry). I found the store when a teacher sent me there for popcorn for the popcorn machine. Now I'm a fan. I always come here for party supplies. This year my son wanted a Sharks Party. There are not Sharks paper products anywhere. So after much searching on-line and driving from store to store to find Teal & Orange colored plates I finally made it to CC&C. AND, lo and behold what did I find? My Teal & Orange colored plates, napkins, tablecloths, plus a great deal on 2-litre sodas, and lots of mexican candy for the pinata.
