Service is friendly and welcoming just like very other BBW and this location had enough workers during the holiday season to efficiently work through the long line of customers. Shop is pretty decently organized but I recall wanting to find an extremely specific shimmering body spray in a scent that my boyfriend liked for his cosplays and when I tried to use a coupon for a different item, nothing really matched what we wanted scent wise or what we were looking for so that was sadly a 2/2 failure. Wrapping up last minute Christmas shopping. This Bath & Body Works is just like all the others -- drawing in customers with the various scents that linger by its entrance. Prices have gone up compared to the last time I have shopped here and I wouldn't necessarily agree that there are good sales right now. The new and seasonal scents gave me a headache as I was shuffling through all the different candles, lotions, and body sprays. Even the traditional scents I enjoyed as a teenager are no longer pleasant to me. Either I'm getting old or the magic isn't there for me anymore. One thing I will point out is that the service at this location needs some work. I get that it's the holidays and retail is a tough business during the holiday season but to keep things seamless -- BBW should consider hiring more staff to ensure better experiences for all. read more

Normally B&BW is known for having excellent customer service, but not this location (expect for ONE person). There were literally 4 visible employees tonight 10/8/24) but ONLY ONE that actually exemplified really good customer service. Angel was the ONLY one that was actually greeting customers and even took the time to let myself (and everyone else that came in after us) about the current sales, he even asked us if we needed a bag while we were shopping. One girl working spent the majority of our visit totally focused on her own reflection in the mirror and ignored everyone else and the girl at the register was just focused on her phone. All around just unprofessional and definitely not up to the the same standards that the other locations seem to have. Honestly, Angel is the ONLY reason we didn't walk out tonight and why I'm not giving this store just one star. Angel should be training the other employees on what good customer service should look like because clearly no one else here cares. One good employee shouldn't have to carry the whole store, management should really do better here. read more

Bath and Body works is always a little nostalgic for me. I can remember going here in high school where I started my scent obsession. "Sweet Pea" was one of my first loves and instantly takes me back to when I was 17, hanging out at the mall with friends. I would come in and open up the bottles sniffing up everything because I wanted to smell it all. I'm now 44 and I'm still coming in here- only now it's not for the lotions-- I 'graduated' to car fragrances and foamy hand soaps which I stock up on every time there is a sale. The scent obsession hasn't died and if I don't have a tart melting in the house, my car has to smell good at all times. The most common reactions I get when people are in my car are, "Your car smells like candy!" or "It smells so good in here." I can't tell you how many people I've gotten to purchase car fragrances because they all love the way my car smells. If you're wondering what specific fragrances these are, there are a few I keep in rotation at the moment: Vanilla Bean Noel, Strawberry shortcake and Black Cherry Merlot. You can't really go wrong though as most Bath and Body Works fragrances are pleasing to most. I say "most" because scent is really a subjective thing. As for this store location itself, I've gone a few times in the past month for the sales and each time has been pleasant. The staff limits people coming in because of Covid restrictions. Instead of baskets, they are now handing out paper bags to hold your items while you shop. If you are so inclined, why not head over to the in store sink to wash your hands with all the scrubs and foamy hand soaps that all smell heavenly? If you're like me and prefer to wash your hands instead of use hand sanitizer because of how drying it is, head on over and get your scrub on. You'll not only smell good after, but you'll be clean. IMHO - Covid Edition I received a coupon in the mail for a free gift from Bath & Body Works worth $7.50 (while supplies last) and I never pass by anything for FREE! Lauren greeted me at the door and cheerfully spritzed some hand sanitizer into my hand. I told her I was here to redeem my free gift, and asked "I can pick anything?" Nope! Lauren lead me to the shelves that offered various travel-sized items of body lotion or fragrance spritzes! She asked me what type of fragrance I preferred; flowery or fruity? I asked for her favorites and she let me sample a spritz. Done! Champagne Toast Body Lotion it was!!! Tip: If you're shopping early for Christmas, go now! When people first think about Eastridge they would assume customer service sucks and store is unorganized.. but tbh this would have to be my FAVE location in San Jose. Although it's Candle Day $5.95 for Single Wicked Candles the whole staff especially Cienta made my visit fun and a breeze rather than stressful. She was super outgoing, fun, patient and helpful with someone indecisive as hell like me! As a matter of fact she helped me out the whole entire time and recommended a few scents after I picked up all the scents I mainly came for. The workers that are employed there are very helpful. Whenever I am lost in trying to find something... They are always there with the assistance I need to find it. It's a very large store. It has an escalator to go between the two floors. I particularly love their limits... Their feather comforters are good value and they last long time... During the Christmas season they have many decorative items... Do you need a new tablecloth for your Christmas table? This is the place to find it! You can also find ornaments... Christmas gifts... And Christmas pictures... The only negative thing I could say... I wish they had more 49er gear... They do shark gear... Raiders gear... Oakland A's gear... And Dallas Cowboys blankets... I visited the store located in Eastridge this past Sunday while I had my teenage daughters with me. I was getting ready to make my purchase when I heard a male employee say negative things about them. He told another employee that, "they were just there to look pretty and take selfies". I was a bit shocked as to why he would immediately judge them, or anyone for that matter. My daughters were doing nothing wrong and they were not taking selfies, but if that were the case, I don't see how that hurts the business (or anyone). On the contrary, it exposes Bath and Body Works and helps boost business. My daughters are kind, intelligent, hard-working, and happy. I still don't understand why anyone just spews their judgment upon others without knowing them. Not to say, that his behavior was highly unprofessional. It's sad because Eastridge stores seem to be struggling. I was just trying to help my local businesses. I will order online from now on. read more

Knick knack treasure trove. When it is something off the wall, like a muddler, but you don't want to go to a specialty store for that one item come here. They seem to always have that something that you are looking for but can't seem to find anywhere. And by anywhere I mean Target. Fall is here! That means a mix of deliciously crisp and cozy comforting scents at Bath & Body Works! There are a lot of employees ready and willing to help at this location. The first one we walked by offered us a shopping caddy to make our lives easier as we browsed the store. As we stood pondering in the hand soap section, another came over to offer some help in finding the right scent. She asked us some questions about what we liked and made a few suggestions. She even popped the top off a few of the soaps to let us get a good sniff as well. She wasn't pushy either, just gave us recommendations and then left us to continue browsing. They usually have testers available and they have a sink in the middle of the store against the wall so you can wash off after sampling. Check-out was also pretty easy and you have the option of signing up for their mailing list to get exclusive offers and updates. read more

I think the only times I've been here was when I had their coupon that almost everybody receives in the mail. I came here with my mom so she could buy a salad spinner. It was pretty easy to find the area and I think the layout of the store was intuitive for me. I don't recall seeing any overhead signs (probably because I didn't pay attention) to differentiate the departments. They had a lot of kitchen stuff as well as bed and bath stuff. A lot of the things in the store were expensive if you compare them to another store. That's probably why I saw the 3 people in front of me and 1 person behind me with a coupon for 20% off (the one you got in the mail). lol The staff were friendly and it was pretty clean as far as I could tell. Whilst I am no candle blogger, I do enjoy the cozy feeling of lighting and candle and being smothered in a nice sweet aroma. I had purchased a yummy smelling plug in and didn't remember the name, just the scent. Hoping I could recall it by smell memory only, Michelle (I believe was her name, she is tan with long curly hair, big contagious smile) helped me out! I stocked up on their plug in deal in that scent. I am so glad she helped me out! Now every room in my house smells delightful. What's your secret guilty pleasure? Is it that you love cats more than any animal in the world, even though your friends are convinced you are a dog person? Or is it that you have a crush on men wearing suits? For me, my deepest darkest obsession has to be...Bath and Body Works! Ever since my friend sprayed me with this AROMATIC scent in middle school, I have been HOOKED on all things Bath and Body Works. I'm glad the Bay area has a decent number of locations for me to shop at, such as this one at San Jose's Eastridge Mall. What I love about popular chains such as Bath and Body Works is that you are always going to find them at the mall. Because mall = close to freeway, accessibility = easy! More specifically, this Bath and Body Works at Eastridge Mall is maybe only 5 minutes away from the Tully Road exit off the 101 Freeway. This place is quite convenient for people who live around the San Jose area because chances are you will probably pass by Tully Road (or even exit on it) quite often. I recommend all shoppers to check out Eastridge Mall because it has a diverse selection of stores as well as attractions (e.g. Round 1 and AMC Theaters for all they're worth to you). If there are two things that annoy me the most about certain Bath and Body Works locations, it has to be the poor stock + passively sexist staff members. In regards to meh stock, I HATE when Bath and Body works does not have items that virtually every location should have. And it makes me even MADDER when they don't take the time to allow all products to be sampled. For example, how am I supposed to choose car Scentportables when 1. You barely have any, and 2. Y'all don't even let me sniff! As for sexism, I don't like when employees market their male line of products to me even though I am a guy. Bruh, maybe I would actually USE your men's stuff if you had more!!! This unfortunately happens at 90% of the locations I go to. Praise land of Jesus because you won't have EITHER of these problems here. First off, this Bath and Body Works has EVERYTHING! Maybe it was because I came by when they just opened, but this location was fully stocked! They had all their fall fragrences, and everything could be sampled. Yes, their Scentportables line was popping too. Second, the staff member working at the time was SO SWEET! She was welcoming when she approached us, and she didn't direct me to the men's line. For once, I could actually let me guard down. Bless her soul because she was working so hard (only person on the floor even though HELLA PEOPLE started coming by after us). This Eastridge Mall Bath and Body Works has to be one of the best locations I have been to in a very long time. I admit that the last thing I need is another Dark Kiss body wash or Berry Vanilla Sorbet hand soap - but I just can't resist that shiz. I mean, really. What girl doesn't enjoy smelling good and having various scent options on hand? (Even though most of the time, I stick with my unscented Aloe Body Butter from The Body Shop.) What I really love about this location is the managerial staff. Super knowledgable about the products and even willing to honor a sale price I noticed online - more than a couple days after the sale had already ended. Suh-weet! They're really friendly too. So why not 5 stars? On my most recent visit during the first day of the semi-annual sale, they had a trainee on the register. It took three tries to get my products rung up correctly. This wasn't the smartest move, but I guess they take a throw-them-into-the-deep-end approach. Luckily, I'm fully stocked for a while. But as soon as my supply starts dwindling, you can bet I'll be back, ready to dive into the latest of-the-moment B&BW scents. Ahhh. Deliciousness. Tip: Every time I shop here, I score a survey coupon on the receipt. Make sure you take the few minutes to call in because the code you get at the end gets you $10 off a $30 purchase - and it never expires. My favorite location for Bath & Body Works!! Employees/cashiers there are always so friendly, and they always seem fully stocked. Even for the post-Christmas sales, they were selling lotions, shower gels, hand sanitizers etc., and the sale bins were always full! Believe me, it was getting pretty crazy for just a Tuesday. They even put the aromatherapy lotions on sale! I've never really seen them on sale before, even if I frequent this store just occasionally. I especially LOVE the Aromatherapy lotion for Stress: 'Eucalyptus Spearmint'. So when I grabbed the last Body Butter for it, I was pretty satisfied! The Aromatherapy lotion for Sleep is pretty nice too. Also, I bought my mother the Red collection when it was displayed for Mother's Day, but I didn't see that anymore. If it comes back, I highly recommend! The End of Year sale is the one out of two big sales they usually have. I prefer to just go during the sales because everything smells nice regardless. Places like these can get me into a lot of trouble. They carry so many different useful items that I just can't resist. My mentality is, "BUY, BUY, BUY!!!" I mean, Why not? I'll need these things sooner or later, right?! I walked in once, with intentions to get some scented candles, but I left with a cart half-full of kitchenware, bedding, and some hand towels. I think I spent over an hour in the store, just having a grand time browsing around. They do a pretty good job of organizing everything, considering the plethora of things they carry in the store. I'm not sure if i should really blame the store for having great, though expensive stuff, but i must say that every time that i walk out of this place, i feel the frustration of living on a budget, and for that, minus 1 :) This place has ALMOST everything that i have ever wanted related to bed, bath, or beyond and a whole bunch more stuff that i never even know that i needed until shopping here. There was one thing that i wasn't able to find here that i would have thought would have been right down their alley: a mailbox / key holder thing that mounts on the wall...I was so sure that would have fallen into the category of beyond, but no. Nevertheless, great selections, especially for the bedroom and kitchen stuffs. And i was joking about he -1 for not being able to buy everyhting, but i would take one star of for the customer service at this particular store. This review is long past due. A couple years ago, I was at this mall with my husband for dinner. After we ate, I wanted to drop by this store to purchase a couple items. This was back when San Jose decided to ban plastic bags and all bags were charged 10 cents. Everything was fine until the cashier rung me up and asked if I wanted a bag. Not knowing that they put a ban on bags, I said "yes, please". I was immediately charged 10 cents. In this situation, I believe the employee needs to communicate with the customer there there would be charge for the bag. If I knew at that time, I would not have asked for the bag. There's something about walking into a B&BW that makes me feel all pretty and feminine, which is probably why I always walk in even when I have no intention of purchasing anything. :) I always end up walking out with something though! This store is by far my favorite to go to. The customer service is really good at most of the B&BW stores, but they really bring it up a notch here. They're friendly here but not overly friendly and pushy, which is the case at a lot of the other stores. I went in a couple of weeks ago to browse for a birthday gift for a friend. Even though you can't go wrong with anything in their Signature Collection, I was hesitant in my purchase because not everyone likes the same scents. I ended up wandering over to the plug-in air fresheners section. They had a bunch of yummy-smelling fall-themed inserts. I ended up buying two inserts and a plug-in that doubled as a nightlight. Since it was a last minute gift, I asked the sales associate if she had any gift bags available. I don't remember her name, but she was super helpful and sweet. She showed me some of the Holiday gift bags that had felt and designs on them, but I decided to go with just a clear cellophane wrapping. She took so much care placing everything properly in the bag so that everything was facing properly and looked cute. She really took that extra step to make the gift look amazing. Ugh. Went here with my friend, we were looking around after shopping in eastridge mall. Okay so all is well, some overpriced items, bad candy, overpriced bedsheets. They didn't even have twin XL for college! Boo! Tired, tried out the chairs in the corner. Sat down and after no time My friend and I get kicked out because we were 'loitering'. She freaking yelled at us and told us that we were loitering and has to leave because you have to be looking or else you're loitering blah blah. Well I'm sorry if i WAS looking around for a GOOD EFFING 15 MINUTES, YOU KNOW? But were you there to see me doing that? Nope, you saw us resting for a few good seconds. She wasn't even nice. She was yelling at my friend and I. My friend got really scared after that. Stupid chubby old lady with curls and BAD makeup. Ugh. Went there again because my other friends wanted to, then I saw the lady again. She smiled at me and said "hello". I glared at her. Screw you. I'm surprised you don't remember me!
