One day, when I was looking for a bike lock, I had stumbled on one that caught my interest. I took it and I was about to head out, but then, a blonde guy with glasses stopped me and brought me to the office. he asked me to take out the bike lock from my backpack. He then proceeded to take my picture and asked me to fill out a trespassing notice (a piece paper acknowledging that you are no longer welcome in the store). Furthermore, he admitted that "shit's expensive", but asked me what I was listening to. I responded with "anime". He then reacted by saying "oh, anime, like the figures you've been stealing from us for the past several years?". He then told me that "everybody in this Target store recognizes me as a thief who steals stuff from them". To add to that, he told me to "knock this shit off before someone calls the police on me". The blonde older lady has overcharged me on multiple occasions. She is the only one checking people out and I would rather go to the self checkout then the only check out who is getting paid to be there. Today I was overcharged $50. Then I had to wait at customer service for over 20 minutes for them to fix what she did wrong. I'm not really sure how this lady has a job there and on top of that is the only person checking people out. Check your receipt every time you leave this location. I've been double charged for items and then have nothing to show or return and cannot even get my money back. read more

This is a review for Target, Inc. and not this specific Target store. Be careful when purchasing Target gift cards, and maybe just steer clear entirely. We were gifted 2 Target gift cards for the holidays that only had 5 digit access codes vs 8 digits. I went into the store to speak with customer service and they said they could see the money balance on both cards but that there were only 5 digits printed for the access code when it should have been 8. They couldn't resolve the issue in store and made me call an 800 number and I have now spent 35 min on the phone with Target customer service. They're re-issuing the cards and they'll mail them in 7-10 business days. Well after Christmas and while we're out of town. They had no other way to resolve the issue. Save yourself the headache and hassle and buy gift cards from anywhere else. read more

I'm not sure how I feel about this Target. It's large, it's clean. Lots of parking. I swung by to this Target to pick up some baby formula. However, the baby formula I was looking for is behind locked cabinets. I needed an attendant to open it for me. There's a sensor you wave your hand at to call for help. It didn't take long for help to arrive. The girl who came told me there was a limit of four. This was a first for me as other targets. I've been to had baby formula out on open shelves and that I could take as many as I needed. At checkout, I had a few rebate checks I wanted to use. Per policy, it limited one check per purchase. The cashier was kind enough to ring me up for separate purchases so that I didn't need to come back and forth. Came to this Target today to do a return because it was near my job. But I would never in my life come back here again. I came in today to return my kids Cat & Jack pants, five of them. I had a receipt and my Red card. The first employee that was trying to help me said they couldn't find the pants on my the app with my receipt. So we tried entering my Redcard that I used to purchase the pants and they said it couldn't be found. So when they asked the manager, TIFFANY, to come help, she claimed the purchase was more than a year ago so they can't do anything. There is a Cat & Jack policy which allows you to return their products even WITHOUT TAGS, USED, WORN, RIPPED, WASHED, etc. up to a year. But these pants were bought recently. MY ITEM D-P-C-I NUMBERS ARE THE SAME NUMBERS ON THE RECEIPT YET THEY REFUSE TO PROCESS THE RETURN FOR ME. They were helping another lady return stuff that had no tags or receipt yet they were able to process her return. This store has the worst customer service with employees who aren't knowledgeable and managers who aren't empowered to do any thing for their customers. Never would I come back here again. If you had the same experience I did, please call Target customer service because this store experience is absolutely ridiculous with workers who aren't properly trained and managers who are plain lazy. read more

08-21-24 The Cottle store is sad and frustrating. Practically everything is locked up. We tried buying facewash in isle 17 and had to alert an employee via the sensor. No one came so we left without it. I even walked around to find an employee to help us. I recently went to a Target store in Oregon and South Dakota, neither of those Target stores locked up their merchandise. Plus, the employees greet you as you come in. Pharmacy on cottle in Target is absolutely horrible, horrible, horrible. I had surgery on my foot my doctor order medication my sister went in to check if it was ready they said no. This us 1pm now 5pm still not ready. I called at 230 300pm 349 pm . Left messages because no one will pick up the phone. Mind you i am in a-lot of pain. I received call at 5 stating its not ready i told him i am excruciating pain he said ok. He said well we have been busy!! Seriously 4 hours later meds still not ready. The customer service at this Target is pretty bad. I was buying something during lunch today, and it's a beauty product. The cabinets are locked. So you have to activate a sensor, and that will signal employee to help you unlock it. This girl comes over, glares at me, and goes, "Do you need something?" I told her I need the face lotion inside. Today, prior to shopping, I parked at one the parking places a little away away from the store... while I made a phone call. I noticed a young guy pulled up behind me - blocking my parking place. There are two Targets in our south San Jose location. This is one of our favorites. Unfortunate that this COVID-19 has forced the big major retail stores to monitor our shopping. Only 1 of TP and Kleenex and hand sanitizer allowed?? All of the food items and soups and munchies are sometimes cleaned out from all of this panic shopping. They got one entrance open and have a person counting the people going in so when they hit that number. The lines will start. They got staff inside trying to direct traffic. As far as Target's go, this one is pretty run of the mill. It has all of the basic essentials usually in stock. Staff are very nice and able to help if you can find one. There aren't always many throughout the aisles. This target and what they carry in the app however don't always align. I have put in several pick up orders and online it will say many in stock but then when I go to pick up my order maybe half or less was not fulfilled. I don't have the time to go look in the store to see if I can find the items, so I'm not sure if it is stocking issue or an order fulfillment issue. Regardless, that feature of the store is not the most reliable. Store can be messy at times but not bad. Bathrooms are usually clean. read more

I'm almost certain the employees do not count how many customers are in the store. Today when I walked in a worker offered me what she claimed was a shopping cart she "just cleaned." I looked down, and it had a bunch of garbage in it. If that was a freshly cleaned cart I would hate to see what a dirty cart looks like!
