Costco has a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy, we were trying to return goods which we weren't satisfied with. According to Costco's corporate policy, even if another member purchases goods for you as long as you are a member and you have the receipt, you can return the merchandise if it's new and unused. There are some exceptions such as electronics. Our merchandise was nitrile gloves. This does not fall under exceptions to their policy, so that means there's no time limit to returns for unsatisfactory, unused / unopened merchandise. Because we had a decent amount of the product they tried to make up a policy which isn't even advertised and doesn't exist on their website about volume purchases. But we did not purchase in volume these goods were purchased only 2 at a time under a few different members. The nitty gritty is russel the GM is in the business of going against corporate policy and this location will only honor their policy when they want to. The corporate policy doesn't matter to Russell and he is goes rogue and makes whatever decisions he wants. I will be forwarding this to my counsel and moving forward to go above his head. This is ridiculous that I would have to do this. Imagine if the press were to somehow hear about this and put it out there that Costco doesn't stand by their policy. read more

Passed through here on Black Friday since they were opening early. Pulling up entrance is on the smaller side as far as Costco goes. Parking lot layout isn't great either. Overall nothing to put this Costco above any other location. read more

The trick to Costco to avoid many customer is to go when they just open which is what we did. This Costco is across the street from my work so I knew that it doesn't get as busy as other Costco. We came here solely to look for the Presto Heater Dish but they didn't have them in the store. We asked a employee and they said it's usually in Aisle 103 or 104. So we just left after that but I saw you can call your local Costco before going to see if they have it in stock. I also took advantage of getting a hot dog and drink deal here, just know that it's outside. There was no container for the sauces so you have to put them on your hot dog physically if you're not eating there. read more

This store has self checkout, huge plus for me! It's more convenient to have the food service outside, better flow of traffic and doesn't clog up the customer's space to exit inside of the store. I've rarely had encounters with staff inside of the store, only at the registers. This visit, in the bakery section, a staff member straightening the products gave a recommendation as I looked unsure of what to get. Costco tire center review. Don't waste your time at this center. In order to guarantee your appointment for replacement, you have to purchase tires and take them with you. If lug nuts are not available then they won't help you. Assistant Manager stepped up and helped fix the issue with another center. The absolute worst customer service experience from the manager, Melissa. Electronic buyers beware. I purchased a TV from this store on the 23rd opened and plugged it in 25th to find out it was broken. Took it back on the 26th for an exchange only for Melissa to have multiple employees come and check the box we were returning and tell me that the serial number was not the same as on the box and she would not issue me a refund because I was returning something she did not sell me. I asked her if she was accusing me of some shady behavior and she blatantly said yes. Serious accusation from someone. She had no desire to help figure out why they sold me a up tv that was different from the box and only cared about blaming me. She was of no help, absolutely rude and disrespectful, and has horrible customer service manners. Another family who was also returning a tv (who of course happened to be white) did not even get their box checked or had any secondary review, like we did. I visited this Costco on the day when the whole parking lot smells like fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. OMG, tempting! Besides that, the first thing I noticed about this store was how clean it is! From the parking lot to the check out stand and the gas pumps, the Simi Valley location is on top of their cleanliness. The selection of clothing items compared to the Oxnard store seems to be far less choice. Good items, just less options. We bought a new microwave this year the first week on November and we payed a 150 $ extra fee for installation of the new microwave and hauling of the old microwave . New microwave was delivered this morning after 6 weeks but installation of the new microwave and hauling of the old microwave had been mysteriously cancelled . "Mmm costco" is what I said when I touched down in Simi Valley to go to the courthouse and saw Costco. Few things I need to say though. A) I don't know why they made it so you have to have a costco card to get food from the food court. Y'all know the food is not good enough for that. B) The security cameras by the food court have genuinely not been updated since the place was built I don't think. There is absolutely no way they work. Not that I know from personal experience, though. C) They took away onions as a hotdog topping. Yes, of course, covid exists. Buuuut, you still have condiments out. D) Not to mention, they got rid of the chocolate vanilla sundae and now only have mediocre flavors. Makes no sense. Now, onto the good things A) I don't think they will ever change the prices of their food. Thank GOD. I think the deal is that you get a hotdog and a drink for $1.25. Where else can you get that. B) I mangled the hotdog in photo attached, but brought it home and my family was fighting over who could eat it because it was soooo good. It's not just me who loves Costco this way. I called and spoke with Erick, branch management. They can check the cameras and my membership number on my purchases which I provided. Daniel told me that I didn't pay for 1 item. My receipt is showing 18 products purchased but he is seeing 19. So he checked again and again. At first I didn't mind at all as he should check. This made me very upset and embarrassed in public. My little sister was playing with my phone and she somehow managed to drop it in between the truck and the bed of the truck. I was so scared I lost my phone forever luckily we drove by the Costco tire center and these 2 nice gentleman named Eric and Austin helped us get the phone out even though it's not there job. Lining up for food outside is so inconvenient considering the heat during summer and the rain during rainy season. Coupled with lack of personnel manning the food service and the attitude of the employees, this place is not a good store to go to. read more

From their cheap but large portion food court, the lowest price yet still high quality gas, and the full service tire center, to their awesome selection inside; this place is my go to! It definitely gets busy and some of the customers are morons with blocking isles and moving annoyingly slow; but if you go at the right times it's easier to avoid the idiots and definitely worth the savings and convenience. read more

Brand is Smart Yard and price is $29.99. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and saw water spots on everything and dirt in the spikes?! What a disappointment and not up to the standards of Costco! So I called to speak to sometime and guess what? You can't!!!!! No one picks up and so I called the optical department to transfer me to a manager and guess what? I've been on hold going on 20 minutes now! Wow, terrible service Costco! I am a senior and get there around 9 AM on a Tues or Wed. First I fill up gas tank (always lowest prices) and then wander around store before I get what is on my list. Of course I always find one or two more items not on my list that I really need. They have a great selection of cheese, meat, frozen items and fresh produce. And their store brand of toilet paper and paper towels are the best but also much cheaper than at any market. I buy all my vitamins and suppliments there. Have you tried their 2 day non-perishable home delivery service? I started using it during covid nonsense and they delivered things like paper towels, toilet paper, cases of soda and protein drink right to my front door. The employees are helpful, shelves well stocked and store is always clean....at least the ladies restroom always is. The staff including the managers who work at Simi Valley Costco needs training in handling customer service and "emotional intelligence". The manager/employee name Brett doesn't even know how to answer the question from a customer except to keep on repeating single sentence "that is your opinion". The retun merchandise desk staff and the staff working at an inside desk near the merchandise pick-up cage also provide very poor customer service regarding price-adjustment on a mark-down item within 30 days. This Costco should be either be closed or replace all the employees in a supervisory positions. I am a member since 2003 and my family has been a Costco (Price Club) member since 1983. Who is training these people!? The people on the entry and exit are always great. The returns people are also ok. The cashiers and food court, it really depends. I've decided today I'll no longer default to Costco because this happens to be my local Costco. I realize Costco is a huge corporation, won't see this and will be fine without my business or recommendation. I hate leaving there feeling annoyed, so I'm just tired of it.
