This post is mostly in regards to their food court, where the prices for the amount of food is always unbeatable! I usually have the chicken bake from here; it's pretty tasty and filling especially when freshly baked. The bread is soft and the filling is savory and creamy. This time I also tried the caramel cold brew. It was alright flavor-wise, but, for only $3, definitely worth it for a caffeine boost. The pizza and hot dogs are also tasty! Like the chicken bake, you can definitely get your fill for a great price. The hot dog itself is honestly better than some brand names, we even get a pack from the grocery to bring home sometimes. I'm a big Costco girly, it's honestly one of my favorite places to shop! My toddler and I love going together. I can get everything I need for the house, and my little one enjoys the free samples, which is such a helpful way for me to figure out what he actually likes (especially since he's such a picky eater!). After we finish shopping, we always reward ourselves with a delicious slice of Costco pizza, and my husband gets a hot dog--it's a fun little family tradition. I haven't usually needed much help when shopping, but on the occasions I've had a question, the staff has always been kind and helpful. That said, I'm giving this location four stars instead of five. I've noticed that the Brandon location offers a more diverse selection of snacks, premade meals, and frozen items. This Wesley Chapel location tends to carry the same items over and over, and it's rare that I see new products--especially in the freezer aisle. I really wish they would bring more of the variety from Brandon to this store. Despite that, Costco is 100% worth the membership, especially when it comes to clothing. I always find great deals on baby clothes and even things for myself. And the gas savings? Amazing. Every time I've gone, the lines are manageable and I'm usually pumping gas within 10 minutes. I received a Costco membership for Xmas, so now, I've been checking it out more. This has been my fourth visit here. The best part is really the gas price with a Costco membership. It's a really good deal. The lines seem super long, but there's actually 3 gas pumps for every lane and there's an estimate of like 10 lanes. The lines go fast. Costco is always crowded. Maybe bc when I went yesterday, people are still off from New Years. The parking lot is dreadful. It's in all directions and it goes as far as the panda expess which yes a big parking lot but that means tons of customers. I park where there's not as many cars which is on the back side that is closer to the street next to the outlet mall. I go inside and there's just tons of carts and people everywhere. Kinda reminds me of an airport bc of all the people in a rush. The lines to check out are crazy too. They have samples. That's the fun part. Perhaps you will try something you never thought of buying. Price wise, I'm still comparing prices. Aldi is across the street, and for the most part still cheaper. This store is like Sam's Club. Huge quantities but when doing the math, I am getting idea of where it's at on the prices. Mostly higher still for my staples here. They do have some different variety of some foods, but not sure yet if I need a big huge portion of it when I can compare prices and selection and my two faves which are Aldi and Trader Joe's!. Though these are apples to oranges, def a diff type of grocery shopping so I do want to be fair about that. They have everything here including electronics, pharmacy, snacks, appliances, fix it items, bakery, produce, frozen, prep foods, meats, and clothes and health. Plus a concession stand. This review is for their gas rather than the main store. Although we are members and frequent several stores in south Florida, we'd never been to this store before. In fact, we didn't even know it was here. We were in the area visiting family for the holidays and needed to stop for gas. Using the yelp app, I saw that there was a Costco nearby where we were driving and that they had a gas station. When we arrived, there were long lines to get into the pumps. This is not unusual. But when we realized that the price ($2.79 a gallon) was exceedingly low compared to the other stations in the area, we could understand why quite easily. We waited in line. It actually didn't take too long to get to the pump as the line moved faster than expected. There were three pumps per line of cars and a lighted system to let you know which ones of the three were in use or were open. It's a good system. When we saw the total amount of our charges on the pump, we were quite happy. It was the lowest we've paid in ages. And yes, of course, we'd come back here again in the future if in the area. read more

I was surprised that the gas at this Costco was NOT the cheapest in the area considering that I'm paying an annual membership fee. This price was $3.45 and that's more than others - $3.32 at the "Blessings" that is 5.5 miles away and $3.36 at Walmart 4.5 miles away - according to Gasbuddy. But I'm here now and I don't want to find another. So I filled up. After, a quick pass through the warehouse for supplies while I'm at my mom's house this week. I'm definitely a fan of Costco!! We usually stop here every 1-2 months to stock up on the essentials! It's such a good buy as well. For example, I just bought 120pack of K-cups for $31.99. Normally, if I bought 10 boxes of the Kroger store brand, that would be over $50. So definitely savings there. I've only ever been here on weekends and it's PACKED. I'm unsure what it's like during the week or if there's a less busy time on the weekends. Parking can be a nightmare, but aside from that, I'm a fan! read more

I love this Costco. I call it adult Disney World. I can always find what I need in the store for a good price. The rotisserie chickens are huge and inexpensive. The staff is super friendly. New screen monitors at pumps that shows what pump is available as you wait. Really convenient and cool concept to allow you to know what pump to go to as you wait. I've always been a BJ's fan, but since moving to this area, I decided to give Costco a try because it was closer. From the start, it was a stretch for me -- overcrowded stores, difficult parking, no acceptance of Amex or Discover, and many products I used to like simply not available. But today something happened that I've never experienced in any grocery store. I spent two hours shopping, filling a cart with over $500 worth of products. I left it for about five minutes to quickly check a couple of aisles -- something I've occasionally done before without any issues. When I came back, my cart was gone. I searched the store, and an employee kindly tried to help, but eventually I was brought to a supervisor. To my surprise, he told me the cart was likely taken away and the items restocked -- with no attempt to help recover it, no sympathy, just a reference to "the rules" and an assumption that people often abandon carts. I could understand if it were a cart with a few items, but who abandons $500 worth of groceries after two hours of shopping? That experience was the final straw for me. While I understand the need for policies around abandoned carts, Costco should have better practices in place. Removing a full cart after only a few minutes, without any effort to confirm the situation, is unacceptable. Between the crowded stores, lack of certain conveniences, prices that are no longer significantly lower, and now this experience, I've decided not to renew my Costco membership. This Costco has terrible customer service and policies. I came here interested in possibly getting a membership but I wanted to look around to compare prices and products to Sam's club. The gentleman at the door said it wouldn't be a problem to look around, and that I just had to ask member services for a day pass. I did just that and while I was waiting, I sent my 7 year old daughter to the bathroom because she couldn't hold it. The clerk at member services informed me that they don't let people look around anymore and that I'd have to go online to see their products. That was annoying but I thought "Fine. I'll do that. " But then when I told him that I was just going to get my daughter from the bathroom, he told me I wasn't even allowed to do that!! He told me I shouldn't have let her use the bathroom in the first place and that I'd be "caught on camera" if I tried to go get her!!! Ridiculous! I will stay a Sam's club loyalist. This particular Costco is always packed and is one of the reasons I am docking a star. Some days it's very difficult to find a parking spot. Other than that, it's the typical Costco experience. Decent deals on bulk items as well as certain other home goods. Service is always quick with no bad experiences and I'm a sicker for the hot dog combo even when I'm not hungry. I've gotten gas at this location as well and the line moves smoothly and the gas price tends to be the best in the area. read more

I shop at Costco in Wesley Chapel about once a month. It is a very busy place. I like the tastings they have of different food items they carry. Have bought items because of that which is of course the whole idea. Their steak is amazing. Milk good price. I go there to buy bulk items that i use all the time. Their Kirkland brand is very good. I love the bargains that you get at Costco! I do notice that sometimes this location won't offer certain items that others do (like the Organic Kirkland Almond Butter - they only have the non-organic). I like how they have samples so you can try the products but are hesitant to purchase. I got my tires from here and they use nitrogen to fill up the tires which are supposed to last longer and they offer free tire rotations. I love Costco!!! Not a member though, but everyone I know is and I'm always down for a trip so I get lots of invites. I visited with a friend and we hit up the shockingly inexpensive fast food place inside Costco. The food is practically free, you don't want to walk around Costco hungry or hangry so do yourself a favor and grab a slice of pizza. Since I live in a small place, I really only have a few items on my list when I visit, $10 trash bags that last me four years, cheese, wine & champagne; fun snacks, and frozen veggies and entertainment appetizers. I ended up with tons of holiday snacks and appetizers. Also two cases of wine and a ton of champagne! Lots of items were on the Costco monthly sale which offers huge savings. I really wish there was a Costco location in the South Tampa area as Brandon is different to get navigate for a Tampa girl who hates suburban traffic. The warehouse was so busy when it originally opened 3 yr. Ago and crawling with people. The rotisserie chicken that's not been sold that day gets made into chicken salad. All of the meat is incredibly high quality & fresh whether you buy chicken, ground beef, pork chops, lamb, filet mignon, etc. (I've had it all), which also includes their seafood (whole snapper, lobster, scallops, etc.)! Also, their liquor store is a gold mine. You can get their 12 yr. Kirkland Scotch (sweeter) vs. 4 yr. Kirkland Scotch that's a smoky flavor, very smooth & still leaves a nice bite! My fav. Costco is my go to place to stock up on eggs, chicken, bread, milk, frozen foods, water, paper towels and salads all at reasonable prices. Parking lot is usually crowded, but not impossible to find a spot. The service in the store is great, but the food court needs more workers to keep up. Also the tire center workers are very rude. Once I had trouble with the tire inflator machine as it wasn't working properly after waiting 20 minutes for it. It actually deflated my whole tire! The workers and manager ignored me at the gate so I went inside and was told someone would help me but they didn't come out until a half hour. It was really cold out that day, but I had no choice but to wait for someone to come out and help me get air back into the tire. read more

Now there's a shiny new Costco in Wesley Chapel which means that I don't have to drive down to Brandon anymore. What's so great about Costco? Let me count the ways. They don't have a huge variety of each type of item that they sell. That's because what they do sell is high quality. And if you don't like what you bought their return policy is beyond flexible. Electronics have a window you have to return them in, but buying through Costco automatically extends the warranty to two years from the date of purchase. Their in-store brand is called Kirkland and covers a wide range of items from vitamins to clothing. I didn't need a light winter jacket but they were selling a Kirkland one for twenty bucks. How could I not buy that? The Kirkland dark chocolate almonds taste better to me than the ones at Trader Joe's and are a fraction of the price. I wear Kirkland prescription glasses. The only Kirkland product I haven't liked were the multivitamins but they gave me a refund on them. The food they make in-store is delicious. I've never been unhappy with anything I've bought but my particular favorites are the chicken pot pie, apple pie, greek pasta with chicken, and chocolate chip muffins. The pies are the size of a manhole cover also. Did you know you can buy a car through Costco? They'll direct you to a local dealership they're partnering with where you know you will get a fair price. And that price is not negotiable, as in there is no haggling. They tell you the price and that is the price. What a concept! You can also plan your vacations through Costco. The last time I rented a car it was for a week and it was $55 cheaper than any other method/website I researched. If you buy a full vacation package through Costco you could be eligible to get a Costco cash card with hundreds of dollars loaded onto it when you get back. That's on top of the already cheaper prices for the packages. The checkout lines always look horrible, but each cash register has two employees working at it. That speeds things up tremendously and I've never had to wait long, even during crazy times such as superbowl weekend. You probably came here for a review about the store layout, the service, or the pizza & hot dogs. However, this review is just about one product in particular: the street tacos. The Costco street taco kit is around $5/lb., give or take. Ours was about $15. It comes with soft corn/flour tortillas, pre-seasoned chicken, limes, cabbage, cheese, salsa, and cilantro lime cream sauce. The prep is simple because the chicken is pre-cooked! All you have to do is heat up the chicken & tortillas, then it is ready to serve! These tacos are so good, you'd think you got them from an authentic food truck. The cilantro lime creme sauce is to die for! We usually make it with homemade guacamole (made from Costco avocados, of course) and serve with tortilla chips on the side. This taco kit is big, we had plenty of food for 4 people with a bit leftover! A great easy, quick, tasty family meal. read more

I love all Costco's and membership benefits. I also have a sams's club membership and there's a big difference in shopping experience. The club offers good deals on vacations, carry a wide range of organic products and their return policy can make a person gasp. Because they will believe in 100% customer satisfaction. I bought a printer used it for several months and realized it was too small to handle my larger tasks. I bought a larger printer and held on to my small HP printer since I wasn't sure what to do with it. But when I order some appliances the Costco rep on the phone told me that Costco would take back that printer I used, without a box and way past the timeline of returns. I was shocked that they would take it back and give me a credit. I've been a member Costco for over 10 years and have been a happy member for all of them. I love the ever changing deals they give and their service. When traveling to other states, a Costco is always easy to find nearby to purchase water and other food items for our stay. The prices have increased here but not as bad as at the grocery store. The best deals in here are some of the prepared foods, for instance the rotisserie chicken is only 6 bucks. The chicken taco kit is about 14 bucks and it is great. The preseasoned wings are a great deal, although I dont like the seasoning. Another nice thing about many of the meats is that they are packaged ready for the freezer. If you purchase alot of groceries the membership will pay for itself. I felt the need to leave this review based on ONE very small detail that made my day. I visited and of course had a bunch of things; well I hadn't grabbed any boxes. The two gentlemen at the register, Alex (I think his name was) and another gentlemen with a long beard.... Get this -- he offered me some boxes to put my things in, pulled them from right under the counter. Stacked them in neatly and perfectly and made my life SO much more easier going forth. Now this might seem like a simple thing, but I NEVER have been offered a box. The fact that they were so prepared to be so helpful really impressed me because, again, they don't offer boxes usually. I don't usually shop Sams Club unless it's time to buy in bulk but this was a pleasant experience. Thanks guys! read more

What's not to love about Costco? We found it worth it for our family to upgrade our membership in order to receive rewards checks each year. We can't shop there and spend less than a couple hundred dollars on each trip. Love the gas prices. If you can go through food and products in bulk, it's worth the cost too. Fresh produce is sometimes difficult to get through before it goes bad, but we buy a majority of everything else here. Wine and alcohol prices are great, just wish they had a bigger selection or liquor and moscato. Wish we had one closer, but won't keep me from renewing my membership. Their bakery is good too. The good thing about this Costco location is that it's close to a lot of nice places like the Tampa Premium Outlet, Main Event, and nearby some really good eating places ( Blaze Pizza, Chuy's, Zukki-San, Sweettea, Ford's Garage, and a whole lot more). The not so good thing about this Costco location is that it's a bit of a traffic mess to go and come out of this location area. Since it's across from the Tampa Premium Outlet, there are a lot of cars in the area. Also, the ramp to get on the highway is near so that affects the build-up of cars. Just make sure to create a list of all the things you need from your trip to this Costco because finding the nearest U-turn to go back and being stuck in that traffic is not fun, trust me, I've done it before, haha. On another note about this Costco location, is that I love my shopping experience everytime I come here. Just like all Costco locations, they have everything! Produce is fresh and I love getting my meats/seafood items here. This Costco just got self-check-out lanes, except for the best part is that they do all the scanning for you - makes your life so much easier. Also, they incorporated contact-less pay options at the cafe. When ordering your fave cafe item, whether it's their cheesy slice of pizza or their classic juicy hotdog, you can now order and pay on the computer/touch pads that are in the waiting line area. I have been a member for over 20 years and I love Costco! Sadly, 3 years ago I moved to Spring Hill, Fl from Long Island, NY, and no matter what Costco location I go to, it's about an hour drive. For the life of me I cannot understand why a location is not being placed in Brooksville! The Spring Hill/Brooksville area has grown so much and it continues to grow very quickly! I hear everyone complaining that we don't have a Costco around here, yet nobody is reaching out and asking! I just see a bunch of false rumors on social media dating back to 2020, one of the stating a Costco will be opening up on Cortez, when I put the exact address in, it was Sam's warehouse. Since getting our membership, we have gone to a few around the state and I have to say our home local one (this location) is the best by far. It's clean, typically always stocked and never out of items, and great prices as always. All of the produce has been fresh and never had an issue with any of the meats. The gas is also a nice perk and with the added smart sensors to show which pumps are free, it goes by much faster than before. read more
