Costco tire service center I would give it 0 stars. I booked an appointment at 4pm to have my tire repair because I noticed I had a slow leak. Got there at 4pm . They said they will call me once they finished.. so I decided to walk around the store for a bit to shop for some things. I came back around 5pm to ask the status of my vehicle. They said it will be alittle bit longer.. so I waited I asked agsin in 30 mins the status.. same answer. It was already 6:30pm.. I know a simple tire repair doesn't take 3 hours to complete.. the most will be 1 hour to fix. Then it was 7pm and they finally got done with my vehicle.. so I went to the back to pick up my car . The agent did not release my vehicle. I was standing outside in the snow for another 20 mins. It was still in the garage. . Costco has bad service when your tires is under warranty for flat repair or something simple. Theres should be no excuse why a simple flat repair. should take 3 hours to complete read more

This Costco is located in the Potomac Mills shopping plaza, and the location can be quite chaotic. Getting in and out can take some time as there is a lot of traffic. As other Costcos, they offer appliances, auto/tires, items for babies and kids, clothing, handbags, computers/printers, electronics, furniture, hardware, health and beauty products, home/decor items, jewelry/watches, office products, patio/outdoor items, items for pets, and travel/luggage items. BAIT & SWITCH BEWARE. Very loyal customer. Been shopping at Costco/PriceClub since they opened in Fairfax VA in the 1980's (?). Never any issues until past few years. EVERY SINGLE electronic or mechanical gadget has failed soon after buying. Have needed to return MANY things over the years., including half the fresh produce & packaged fresh food due to spoilage one or two days after purchase. I used to simply throw away the spoiled items but it is just amounting to too much money so I return to Costco for a full refund. Have purchased several discounted home services thru Costco which have ended in total disaster, bait & switch contract agreements, contractors (LeafGuard) suddenly not honoring their sales promises & warranties as a result of being bought by another business. I have been fighting with them for years. In fact Costco-backed LeafGuard product design did not live up to their claims since the day of their installation. Not to mention LeafGuard customer service was horrible from day one. Have been a loyal customer for Kirkland TP for decades. Large thick lush TP rolls, much improved over other TP manufacturers. However the current product being sold - TP sheets are smaller by half inch, TP rolls are smaller, brown cardboard rolls are larger, paper quality is considerably reduced & nearly paper thin, rolls are very loose & squishy & the perfs are not 100% so every tear-off rips the tissue in half the wrong way. VERY annoying. All this amounts to the number of sheets per roll being so reduced that there is a total of 2 less rolls per pack of 30 rolls. And the price has increased nearly 50% !!! Unrelated but also annoying, our local store in Woodbridge stopped posting their gasoline prices on the folding placard so drivers could see the price driving by. No longer. You have to get to the pump to see the prices. Other Costcos in the area still post their gas prices, rather than hiding them. The opposite of customer service. Several other very annoying factors of late not worth mentioning. General quality of Costco/kirkland merchandise is severely diminished. However, what caused me to write this review, as I don't usually take the time - received a sale flyer in mail. One item I was interested in was featured at the store entrance so I picked one up. We liked it alot so I bought 2 more online yesterday. I checked for correct sale pricing before I submitted the order. Today I notice the price in the sale flyer, the price I was charged in the store & the price I was ultimately charged online were all different, despite what the sale flyer indicated. Price in sale flyer $36.99 with $10 discount. Was charged $36.99 in-store, despite the flyer price of $26.99 & the price I was charged online $36.99 with no $10 discount, despite the dates are within the sale flyer time frame & the sale flyer indicates the sale price was good online. I am returning ALL of these items due to Costco bait & switch tactics. And will seriously consider canceling my membership after being a loyal customer, paying their annual fees for some 45years plus. read more

Gas prices seem to be like .30 cents cheaper per gallon than competitors. SO HORRIBLE!!!! Beginning in January, I began to have terrible problems with the fresh food sold at this Woodbridge location: mold growing on in the packaging of yogurt and meatballs, for example! Also, the fresh steak had a foul odor... I became ill after eating one of the cups of yogurt (the next day, when we opened another cup from the same box, we saw the mold, green fur, growing inside that package!) (The problem is not my refrigerator: I have had no trouble with food from supermarkets and BJs Club.... The steak smelled as soon as I arrived home , 20 minutes from the store, to prepare our dinner for that evening...) THE STAFF: I visited this Costco tonight with my husband and 5 year old daughter. While there she ended up choking on a candy. My husband went over to the bakery where a gentleman was cleaning for the night and asked if he had a napkin and water. He gave us his own personal water. (Yes it was sealed). We thought it was all over and went in our way. While in the paper product area my daughter ended up throwing up everywhere. I was horrified, this is not something I encountered before. I was not aware but the candy had moved earlier so she could breathe but didn't fully go down. The staff when informed of the mess was so extremely kind. They went above and beyond to make sure she was okay and as well as we were. A fellow mom even handed up napkins to wipe off. I just want to say a HUGE thank you to the staff for making and awful situation bearable. read more

Updated review based on this year (2024) I used to love shopping at this Costco because it had friendly service. However, my recent visits have been quite disappointing. It seems like things have gone downhill, and I am not the only one who feels this way. The employees used to be helpful and caring, but now they seem indifferent. Many of them do not pay attention to customers or provide the assistance that we need. It's concerning to see this change in attitude. I've even experienced some employees talking back to customers, which is really disrespectful. I wonder if there is a new general manager who is not focusing on customer service. It seems like the atmosphere at the store has shifted, and it is not the same customer friendly place it used to be. Because of this, my family and I have decided to drive further to go to a different Costco, where we hope to receive better service. First things first, whenever you can, get here early!!!! This location is always busy but the stock is plentiful and the lines usually move really fast!!! So do not let that discourage you. They usually always ya e samples, that's half the fun right? I have also noticed that the fresh seafood stand has been there almost as a regular staple. The crab legs are always huge!!! Keep you eye open for the weekly demos too, there is always a different product or food item highlighted in the large open area by the frozen foods. I came in here today with my brother to stock up on some essentials. I've been to their other location near Pentagon City, and I have to say that this store appears to be somewhat larger in terms of square footage. I'm guessing that they probably have more products to sell as a result of that. There were also less people shopping inside, granted we came at around 3:15 in the afternoon. We noth ended up purchasing quite a bit, and I even got a few things that I wasn't planning on buying. The eye have some really cool looking cargo pants for less than $20.00 here, and I would swear that I've been searching for pants similar to these for some time. Who would have known that they had them in one of the biggest stores in town! I also picked-up a case of pellegrino water which came out to be less than $20.00 as well. I visited this Costco location today near Potomac Mills. I had an issue with the Costco rewards check, and LAMAR a manager assisted me. I just recently got out of surgery and it was difficult to stand or walk. LAMAR the manager gave me a place to sit in the employee's office, which was very nice of him. What I love about Costco, other than the awesome prices (on some stuff, not other things), is that some locations offer masses of delicious, fresh free samples. I can go around for ages and just try everything. I love it. My Uncle makes fun of me for it and honestly disapproves of it. I came here with him, as well as my cousin from Germany. We did some shopping, ate a lot of free samples, and had a good time. Another time I was here with my Dad and Uncle and we had lots of free samples. I dragged them around to try all the good stuff. What I don't love about it is that you have to buy huge portions of a lot of the things. That doesn't suit me at all. However I'm still a CostCo member because, well, someone pays for my membership because they like me a lot (thank you bae!). I thought I didn't have my membership card (which was in my center console) so I wave him down. First time going to Costco EVER and I think I'm in love. They have EVERYTHING! Even clothes! Mostly everything is in bulk but for certain items like avocados, yogurt, granola bars, pasta sauce, etc. this place is totally worth visiting. There's a ton of samples scattered throughout the store so make sure to be on the look out of what's being served! They have a very extensive wine selection that I definitely recommend checking out! One of the three Costcos I normally visit (Fairfax, Woodbridge, and Newington). All Costcos are busy because...I mean it's Costco, but I like the Woodbridge location a lot more than I like the Fairfax location--it's a lot less hectic. Customer service-like always- is amazing. Our cashier today, Joy, was very friendly and kind. We also went to the food court to get an Italian Sausage and non-fat Vanilla frozen yogurt. Unfortunately, they were out of both as it was 20 minutes til closing time. However, the guy at the food court was very nice about it and offered us to try their new Acai bowl (which is $4.99) but he'll give us the discount and we'd only have to pay what we would have for the frozen yogurt ($1.35). We hesitated--he offered us a sample. Very nice customer service!!! This is nit-picking, but when the cart loader is loading our cart...he could've gotten a cardboard box and consolidated the load for us--like other Costcos do. For those not familiar with Costcos: Costco is a wholesaler where you have to pay an annual membership fee of $55. The idea is your saving much more than that because Costco carries items and sells them at a very low price for their members. Also, Costco usually sells in bulk (i.e. you usually won't find them selling a single paper towel roll or 1 box of cereal). It's great for businesses or families. My family and I are in LOVE with Costco. They also have sales on certain items during some weeks and give out samples to try out food or products! read more
