I've been coming to Costello Jewelry in Naperville for years from purchases to repairs and cleaning. I love that my jewelry does not leave the store when being repaired. This is the first time I had an original ring designed, though. I worked with Marino Costello on the design process. As an anniversary gift, my husband wanted to buy me a ring, but I decided that I couldn't give up my original engagement ring and wedding band so I had a new ring designed utilizing the diamonds. The process was interesting. I looked at rings in the jewelry store to get an idea of what I wanted and then we proceeded to the design process, Marino sending me CAD drawings and then a wax ring was made where I tried it on to get an idea of the design and dimensions. My new ring is gorgeous! Marino is a fabulous designer and so easy to work with. I appreciated his attention to detail and his quick responses to my emails. The design process was fun. I love that Marino designed such a special ring where I still have the original diamonds that my husband gave me 20 years ago. I highly recommend Costello Jewelry! read more

Relishing the chance to actually view a watch in person, I visited Costello Jewelry. I purchased the watch without a second thought. My end-to-end experience was phenomenal. The team answered every question, researched what they didn't know, rushed no aspect of the process, offered a totally-fair market price, and didn't charge an extra fee for using a credit card. A lot of secondhand watch dealers have attitudes and business practices that are more fitting for used car salesmen. This was a well-curated experience where the integrity of the business and staff was frequently made evident. Even though Costello isn't a Rolex AD or high-volume secondhand dealer. Needed to get a Raymond Weil watch battery replacement and found that Costello in downtown Naperville is literally the only store in the area who actively services these watches. Went into the shop and was warmly greeted by the staff. They told me that it would cost $20 to replace and would take ~15 minutes since there were a couple of others in front of me. However, it was finished under 10 minutes and they adjusted the watch to display the proper time/date. Great, quick service--highly recommend! read more

They want this pristine reputation on overpriced jewelry; however, once you wish to trade in or buyback, the owner insults you with a trade-in price and states that the gold and diamond market is terrible. Mind you, I have been buying for them for 20 years on and off. Then, when promised a price in April, they would buy back a set amount. Now, in July, they even offered me $800.00 less. Then I get a call stating they are going to pass. Really??? This pristine "jewelry " is from your store! It's Sad, like all companies. I received a new watch band with links for my Apple Watch as a gift. Out of the box it was too big, so I brought to Costello's to help take some links out. The staff was so helpful and it took no time at all to have adjusted. Once I left and got to my car, I noticed it just didn't fit right and needed one more link out. I went back in moments later and they didn't even hesitate! They asked me for it back, took another link out and I was out of there in 5 min. I was first introduced to Costello Jewelry Company (Glen Ellyn) in 1998, when my wedding & engagement rings were purchased. Costello's is a friendly, family-owned business with quality fine jewelry, who are able to customize any piece to your liking. In early spring of last year, my mother found out that my father left behind an Emerald for her. I told her that I hadn't worn my wedding rings, or a tennis bracelet for quite some time, suggesting that we take them to Costello's (Naperville) so that they could customize a ring. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Trisha, a warm, kind-hearted client service associate who openly embraced my request to use the diamonds from my jewelry to customize Mom's Emerald ring. Multiple design options were created, according to my mother's desires; ensuring the outcome would be something that she would cherish. Mom received photos of each to pick from, or modify if she chose to do so. They spent a significant amount of time and commitment, patiently guiding us through the entire process. Costello Jewelry Company were unbelievable accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure she left with a smile on her face. My mother is elated with the outcome! She wears it every day. My wedding ring solitaire has since been made into a drop necklace with several small accent diamonds around the chain. I wish I could give Costello's 10 stars. My mother lost her wedding ring while in the hospital. It was the original ring that my father had given her 55 years ago. Dad passed in 2020 so that ring meant the world to her. Trish at Costello's worked with the hospital in order to recreate her lost ring. Trish spent so much care, time and attention to every nuance while recreating Mom's ring. We had only blurry photos so the details were difficult to get just right, they actually created a model from a drawing my Mom made. They made sure everything was perfect, even the inscription inside the ring. My Mom was able to pick up her "new" ring right before the holidays. She was overwhelmed with joy and emotion and thanked Costellos for giving her the best Christmas present ever - a bit of my Dad back with her. There are many places to go to get beautiful pieces of jewelry, but it is rare to find a place that cares and understands the way Trish and Costello's did. I own a Raymond Weil watch that I've always taken to Macy's on State Street (Chicago) to get the battery replaced (it was convenient given I worked near there). When I took my watch in, every time it came back looking amazing. Not only would they do the battery and run the required pressure tests, but they would clean it as well. Since I don't work downtown anymore, I went to Costello for my most recent battery replacement. I know they have to send it out (everyone does to redo the waterproof seal). 10 days and $60 later, I have my watch back. While the battery has been replaced and the pressure tests were done, the watch definitely wasn't cleaned. I'd expect that from a mall jewelry store, Jared, etc...but not from a nice place in downtown Naperville. Definitely disappointed. read more
