I had a vintage ring that I loved but the setting was worn. I think it was gold plated but soon turned dark because I wore it so much. I took the ring to Gloria's. The service is great but the 14k gold jewelry quality is pretty bad. So I previously bought a solid 14k gold chain which was around 600+$ and the chain did not even last more than 6 months ,the problem was the shitty lobster clasp that couldn't even hold the weight of the gold link. If you want quality 14 gold don't spend your hard earned money on this crappy jewelry store it might look nice in the moment but in reality none of that shiny 14 k gold will last long ,you might get lucky if you can get 1 year without the jewelry falling apart smh Ps I wish I had the photo to show you the shitty clasp on the chain but the chain fell off my neck before I noticed anything was missing read more

Gloria's jewlery has been my spot for repairs and small custom items since the 90's.. Never Again. Long read 100% accurate none is exaggerated Mid December I went to have a bezel made For a 5gm Gold bar, which a year ago I had the same bezel made on another small gold bar so I knew what to expect. the Gentleman who helped me last year exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately this time At Gloria's, will be my last.... On arrival, there was a young lady taking the info and I informed her what I expected was told no problem and it would be finished the 22nd of January. I paid a deductible and was on my way. less than a week later I received a call from the girl informing me they were ahead of schedule and my work was done. way ahead and strange but ok I went in that Saturday to pick it up the same girl helped me, showed me the pendant and whups, the pendant was in the bezel backwards. I politely informed her right away and here's where I started getting annoyed Noticing the poor customer service (From here on out any issue was blamed on me.) I explained the bar was in backwards and showed her the picture AND hologram was the front show side and the amount of gold and brand was the back and before I finished she says no people do the other side so I should have mentioned it first. well no, actually no one does it that way and last one I brought here wasn't even a question. Also I showed her what side was the front on the original packaging and quickly she said I was wrong. (of course, in her eyes the customer must always be wrong even he's correct) anyway I agreed to drive back (40 min drive for me one way now I no longer live in the area) so they can switch it. Next Saturday comes I show up around 12pm and the girl is there but now she acts like she doesn't really remember me for a few minutes to the point where I almost thought they lost my piece. then I give her my reciept. She proceeds to tell me to come back on Jan 22 as that was the date it was going to be done..? No she called me in early and then had me come back today for THIER mess up but she seemed confused so what ever, she went in back talked to the jeweler and informed me it's not done and can I wait 20 min or so ugh now I'm annoyed. All it took was 20 min why didn't they do that for me last week?? Anyway Sure so I waited and then she brings it to show me..wow.. just unbelievable when I showed her what the front was last week it looked good. Now THE FRONT IS SCRATCHED UP AND ALL BUT 1/10 OF THE HOLOGRAM IS RUBBED COMPLETELY OFF!!! that was the whole point of the pendant! I showed her and she says no the hologram is still there and points to the small piece left on the bottom that's barely visable. I'm so done with this incompetent place I'm paying to leave. She runs my card and hands me a bag with the receipts ect and I shove it in my pocket and leave numb from this pointless waste of time. As I'm driving away she calls me back to inform me that (I yes I) left my debit card there.. this girl brought it behind the counter to run it then gave me all the receipts and bag ect. then proceeded to call me and blame me for leaving it behind the counter? Wow just wow. Never got her name, didn't care. Train your employees and not to where the customer is always wrong! What garbage service, thanks for pretty much scamming me. read more

Wow I am so shocked at the way we were treated at Gloria's. We came for ear piercing for my 5 yr old and her friend. We had called a week prior and told not to make an appointment. Called the day before we went just to make sure, as my friend was driving a half hour to come. Called the morning of and was told a time to come. Called on our way there. Lots of communication. We get there and without even a glance in my direction I'm just told sorry I can't do it. No apology. Nothing. Two little excited girls standing there and he couldn't even say sorry. All he said was 'I can't control my schedule'. He did not even look up at us. It was so incredibly rude and disappointing. My son stopped by on his way to work to get a watch battery. He said mom, they were very nice. Since, then they have fixed two rings I brought in, and did it for a lot less than the previous jeweler. Just picked up my repair from Gloria's and I have to say they did a phenomenal job. I had a thin gold box chain that I had gotten from the Vatican that needed repairing near the clasp. I was nervous about the other side of the clasp coming undone as well so not only did they repair the chain, they put on a new clasp and everything looks superb. The price was also GREAT. I just picked up my resized ring today. I had planned to go to a shop in Wheaton with a good reputation, but after looking at their reviews, I noticed that while most reviews were good, everyone who had a resized ring gave that shop poor reviews! I was having my great-great grandmother's ring (that my dear grandmother wore daily before her death) resized so that I can wear it, so I was definitely nervous about it. Not exactly something I could ever replace if something happened to it. I stumbled upon Gloria's and am so glad I did! Really excellent service, very friendly and less expensive rates than the shop I had been looking at (with poor reviews). Most importantly, my ring was perfectly resized and ready when they said it would be. I am so happy with it. My husband also has his wedding ring resized at the same time, and his is great too. I love jewelry! I have an art background. I have frequented many a jewelry store and Gloria's is my favorite by far. They are so helpful, creative, reasonably priced and professional. Eddie is extremely knowledgeable and works with one to create the masterpiece as envisioned by the customer. Should one need to make slight modifications...NO PROBLEM. I also have used them for numerous repairs, watch batteries, prong repair, slight ring modifications, sizing and jewelry modifications...i.e. toggles converted to lobster claws. One can reasonably have their jewelry cleaned, buffed and made to look brand new, too. They are experienced and work with sterling silver, too! I seriously cannot recommend this jewelry business enough and I have been to ones throughout the DuPage county area. Thanks for making it fun for both the customer and the pocketbook!
