I tried their unique orange flavored Mont Blanc, homemade black sesame milk cold foam latte, honey lavender cold foam latte and strawberry milk latte cold foam (which came with a cute heart on top!) I went on a weekend and despite minimal staff, they got my drinks out quickly! There are so many other flavors to choose from like houjicha, pandan and ube! It was hard to not try them all! Was around the area and wanted to try a new local place here. Surprised found a hidden gem here. The barista's ask for sugar level of my drink which alot of places I have been don't do that. I don't like my coffee too sweet so it was good option to have. The beans are were very balanced. I was able to taste the beans along with the flavor. I was here once before for a Yelp Experience. The staff is great. Always helpful and accommodating. I spent the last few days intentionally trying local coffee shops around Jersey City because I will always choose a local business over a big chain when I can. Unfortunately, Cozy Cup was one of the more disappointing experiences. The biggest issue for me was the customer service. When you walk into a small business, especially one that only has one other customer inside, being acknowledged matters. Even a simple "hey, we'll be right with you" changes the entire experience. That never happened, and it immediately set the tone. I still wanted to give the place a fair shot, so I ordered multiple items, including the Spanish latte, to really get an overview of what they offer. The drinks and food were just underwhelming overall and did not match the expectations I had based on the atmosphere and reviews. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place because I love supporting local coffee shops, but the combination of poor customer experience and average food/drinks made it hard to justify returning. read more

Its modern setup is really attractive but on a cloudy day it can look like it's closed and the inside isn't very bright, it's a moody vibe with about five small tables for 2 and a small couch and a couple cozy chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the ube cold foam matcha with almond milk and enjoyed that it wasn't sweet but at the same time would've enjoyed some sweetness to it, I think it would've really elevated it just a bit more. Went to this place to try out their bubble tea. I got the Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea with tapioca. The tea tasted very nice and refreshing. However, the tapioca balls weren't that soft and more on the tough side. Maybe they were cooked for too long? Aside from that I enjoyed my drink. Tiramisu latte was very lacking in flavor, as was the hojicha. Mango matcha had a vibrant green color but the matcha taste didn't come through at all. Appearance-wise the drinks are pretty, but they don't taste great. If you tried hojicha here for the first time and didn't like it, don't let their hojicha make you think you don't like hojicha! This shop sadly just doesn't make it very well. My sister LOVES hojicha but she couldn't even drink half of her drink. I also tried to ask if the matcha puree for the mango matcha latte was made in house and the cashier wouldn't give me a direct answer so I didn't ask anything else.
