I love coming to roast and cream it's a neighborhood staple at this point. There is such a huge sense of community the minute you walk in. Every time my friends come visit it's a must to bring them here. The owner is super nice, and sometimes his family is there with him running things. The staff is super friendly and always remember things you have said and the food is always perfect. My favorite drink is the tira flow which is a tiramisu inspired latte , and my husband tends to get the mocha latte which he claims is his all time favorite as that's his go to at any cafe we go to. The naño sandwich is also great and for the price you get a great bang for your buck. They also have mini pastries and quick bites when you're running out on the fly. read more

I have had great experiences during the week. But Sunday at 11am, insanely long wait. Ordered within minutes of entering but waited over 45 minutes for food and the drinks (cappuccino & iced matcha) came after the food. The wait wouldn't have been as noticeable and painful if we would have least had drinks in front of us. Food was good as usual, but the ketchup had a rancid taste. I've been to Roast & Cream a couple of times while in the area working. I'm a big fan of hip-hop culture and appreciate the theme throughout the decor and items on the menu. Street parking was on my side every time. The food and drinks were decent. Had good customer service, and the WiFi is a plus. This was actually my third visit. We walk here on Sunday. I pretty much enjoy every visit, but this one my hashbrowns were over cooked and my daughter's huevos rancheros were just mid needed more flavor and were also over cooked . The Coco-Latti Iced Coffee was missing the coconut flakes. I don't think we receive a discount for bringing back the roast and cream original cup but that's OK. I'll remind them next time. The place is very nice and have seating outside by the window. They are very friendly staff but they do not accept dogs inside just a note to remember. Ordered online from this place after seeing their website photos and their drinks looked great and they have good reviews but I unfortunately did not have a great experience. There's a bunch of young guys working there and they seem decently nice but the drinks are not of great quality. Got an iced out mango matcha and it was so watery you can't even tell it's matcha and the mango is all very sweet syrup. The rappers delight pistachio coffee was also not very good. The coffee itself tastes like it's just a syrup. Paid $16 of these two drinks. Maybe their food items are better but unfortunately the drinks were not good. read more

I enjoyed this place so much I came here twice during my weekend trip in the area. Trendy vibes with a cool hip-hop playlist in a cozy area with hip-hop memorabilia on the walls. The signature drinks have fun names and flavor combinations. I tried the Rappers Delight (pistachio latte with brown sugar foam) and the (Dirty Cha Cha (iced chai latte with a double shot of espresso). I also had their cortadito which was perfectly balanced--not too sweet or too bitter. Lots of food options too. I tried their guava danish and Dubai chocolate cake which I enjoyed. I settled on Roast & Cream on the walk home in Union City, and I'm currently going through a Dirty Matcha phase... so I was surprised to see that they had a Dirty Chai option but not Matcha, so I had to ask for it. Their beans? From Intelligentsia coffee, so it's local to a SoCal native. Regardless, I was in the mood for one, and I had to get it! Service was amazing despite the initial confusion (after all, it was a drink not on their official menu). Taste? Amazing, as would be expected of a Dirty Matcha. Planning my next visit! Visited this location with two of my friends ( my one friend made reservations). This location was pretty cool because it paid homage to hip hop. The Loaded Hash Browns were very greasy/too fried. Yuca Rellena was decent. The ODB Sandwich was all right but I don't think I would order it again. The vanilla latte was sweet, creamy, and light and the lavender foam took it to the next level. The lavender used was real and there was that floral taste in every sip of the cold foam. So good! Both dishes we got were good but nothing out of the ordinary. I liked the chicken from the Mini Chicken & Waffles, but the waffles were a bit soggy and just didn't seem fresh. On the other hand, the French Toast tasted a lot better but was slightly burned around the edges. The highlight for me was definitely the Iced Purple Reign. The drinks were very tasty, the Purple Reign was delicious, loved the lavender touch. The avocado toast was good... the bread was my favorite part, very soft and fluffy. I was excited to try the loaded hash browns but it was kind of disappointing and did not match the picture on the screen. The hashbrown itself tasted good and crunchy but it only had a drop of sour cream and no scallions.
