The COFFEE is great. Everything else is great as well, but I mention the drip coffee first because that's what's important to me. I drive up and down the west coast quite a bit and I rely on yelp to tell me where I should get my 8oz the mornings that I wake up in towns I'm not familiar with. Typically when reviews say the coffee is great, and they're talking about the milk+espresso+sugar drinks. They serve Thanksgiving Coffee. They always have light, medium, and dark roasts fresh and ready. A decaf cup will be a decaf americano but like I said, everything is great. This is a grind and tamp coffee shop (not a single button espresso machine shop). If you're a latte/mocha/fancy person- you'll still be thrilled. All of the milk choices (dairy- half n half, whole, 2%, fat free, AND almond, coconut, soy, or hemp) are organic. I'm not a pastry person but I've stopped by with friends who are and the pastries are delicious and come from awesome local bakeries. They typically have gluten free options. This is a fantastic little community coffee shop that focuses on local and organic stuffs. The vibe is perfect- join whatever conversation is taking place inside the shop with the locals, or get in and out with your caffeine in hand without having to exchange words beyond your order. As far as customer service goes, they understand the pre-caffeinated grumbling morning person (like myself) as well as the 2nd cup individuals. 6 stars IMO read more

Cute little coffee shop right in the downtown area. They have a great selection of drinks, as well as amazing specialty lattes and mochas (the honey lavender latte is a personal favorite). Taking a year off the big name coffee shops and so it's forcing me to stop around local places instead. So far this one is my fave. The coffee is good and it has a sweet atmosphere inside. The drinks are made with attention to detail and correctly, they have lots of cool menu options and the staff I have met are all very nice. This will probably be my new spot to buy coffee. read more

I've only gotten a pre-made breakfast burrito and a cups of mate, but I am impressed by this little joint. The tiny space is clean, well designed and cozy. They have a great selection of teas that aren't all pre-bagged. I will definitely come back another day during the week to check out the coffee. First thing I noticed was how messy the place was. Then as I looked closer I notice how dirty the place was. Trash can was over flowing with garbage. The corners of the counter were filthy . The floor looked as if it never has been mopped. Not surprising I got sick from the ham sandwich which I remember was not kept in a cool display case. Will call health inspector. read more

My wife and I needed a little pick-me up before lunch, so we stopped in for drinks for the first time. The space was clean and inviting. Eric, behind the counter, was super friendly and very welcoming. I had an Americano and my wife had a mocha, both were perfect. My old coffee place in Cotati is just getting worse over the last several years so I started coming here about 1 month ago +/-. Good news ! ! ! The coffee is better quality and the prices are better. They have Thanksgiving Coffee which agrees with me. It is a tiny space, but they managed to stuff a piano in there that gets played from time to time. It has the feel of Cotati from 30 years ago. Back when "weird" came naturally and wasn't a Cotati City Council marketing theme! Don't ask me how I know that! I don't stay long, but I have met some interesting & friendly people there. I was driving around with my boyfriend and needed coffee. We came across this cute little coffee place. Went inside and ordered a Cotati Fog, very delicious, but old pastries, super stale.. um, pass. The employees were very rude. I asked to use the bathroom. While walking past the bar, (the bathroom was behind the bar) I looked and there was a mess, very disorganized, coffee ground on the floor and let me tell you that the bathroom was very disgusting looks like no one every cleans the bathroom. When my boyfriend and I, was heading out. I saw honey everywhere on this little table where sugars, lits, straws, etc where at. they really need to clean this place up. Today I went in to get a latte and came out thinking ill never go back!!! First of all she rang me up prior to receiving my coffee which was my mistake for giving her a dollar tip!! I asked for a carmel latte and came out with a cup of girahdelli carmel 4 large pumps of the thick syrup with steamed 2%milk and a half a shot of coffee for a large drink it was pure syrup!! I also asked for a scone and was offered a choice of raspberry or cranberry orange I said Cranberry orange and got raspberry.. Yuck not what I wanted. Before she handed me my coffee she poured an inch off the top and it was dripping down the side. I asked if I could get a lid and a jacket and she pointed to the shelf and said "its over there"and the customer before was given service with lids and Jackets on there cup??? She was very rude... I will Never ever go back and I was an everyday customer!! I welcome Pete's Coffee at this point with open arms. I live in Cotati and this is my go-to and my Sunday treat for a coffee. I learned talking to the lady serving that this is a small independent business. The coffee they serve is well selected, tastes nice and brewed better than any of the coffee shops nearby and the prices are competitive. They are friendly, local and good at what they do.
