Saw a lot of reviews for the "Honey Lavender Latte" ICED. I knew I had to try. Though sadly after purchasing, I didn't see the sign saying "student discount" (10%). Anyways..the coffee was so delicious. I'm the type who loves sugary coffee as I'm slowly getting into the taste of bitter coffee. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. This is an adorable little hole in the wall neighborhood coffee shop. The vibe is really sweet in this shop, they've really made an effort to maximize the small space without overcrowding it. There are a few places to sit and they also have a great little coffee menu with some pastries if you'd like to purchase a small food item to accompany your beverage. I got a holiday latte from their holiday menu but their regular menu was substantial. I also enjoyed chatting with the young woman who was serving us, she was really sweet and polite and was nice to chat with. Stopped here at 7am on Mon Jul 25 2022 and had what can only be described as the best freakin coffee drink I've ever had. I'm not joking around people. I had a 20 oz iced honey nut latte which sounds fanciful and maybe it is. However, the flavors -- actual honey and hazelnut syrup -- were artfully balanced with a strong shot of espresso. We have been to this coffee shop quite a few times. The last 3 times we felt like we were interrupting the employee's conversation, and felt very unwelcome. The last time we went, the storefront window was boarded up, but they were open. Before we ordered our coffee and I asked what happened to the window, I was met with a blank stare and "your order?" I guess it was none of my business! It was a beautiful sunny day, but it was very dark and weird with the window boarded, with barely any lights on. 2 people were goofing around in the shop, loudly playing games and giggling, ok no problem. When they both went behind the counter, it was clear that they worked there. We were the only paying customers in the place, and it felt like we were invading their space. Keep it weird, but don't forget that you are running a business. We thought about giving it a last shot today, but we had already given them 3 last shots! We won't be back. read more

My wife brought me here for our Sunday coffee shop stop. It was a new try for us both! She got a lavender mocha, and I got a hazelnut latte. And we shared a raspberry filled croissant. The prices here are good. The customer service nice, fast and friendly! I really enjoyed my drink and snack. I was not a fan of the lavender mocha. I feel it's a bit too sweet. I really enjoyed coming here. It brought back the memory of when I was a child and this was the skateboard shop where my Dad bought me my first skateboard!!! They have a really nice outdoor seating area with a great big water bowl for the dogs! It is a nice,chill, relaxing place to sip some early morning Sunday coffee! I enjoyed their t-rexunicorn logo! Its a really adorable little space but... not a great first experience had 1/2 mind to return to ask for my money back bc I don't think I can drink this as much as I wanted more coffee but it doesnt feel good to literally throw away $3 gas prices being what they are rn... I like to keep it simple my go-to is just drip w/lots of cream... usually can find a good deal & get a whole 16oz for only $2, this place was $3 for only 12oz... (Also think a coffee spot is best judged by the simple things because anything tastes good with flavor syrups or lots of sugar & I actually don't like overly sweet stuff love creamy stuff, lots of cream) ... Anyway It wasnt busy, but somehow the Medium roast i normally like was kicked(out), and the cream had that funny smell like it had been turned, also should've asked for fresh everything but I didnt feel 100% comfortable cuz service wasnt the friendliest.... Then I take a sip and its not even warm, which even with a lot of cream its usually or supposed to be warm. And yeah, the cream had that funky flavor like it'd been left out too long as well. The espresso is sour and the drinks are incredibly overpriced for what you're getting. The reason I returned was because of the quaint vibe of the café as well customer service from the young ladies working, however the older employees (their managers I believe) have been nothing but unprofessional and rude, making vulgar jokes and talking back to customers. Honestly we were beyond impressed with the quality of coffee we got here. First off we were so bummed we couldn't check out the inside of the shop but that's no negative. The server was incredibly helpful in helping us decide what we wanted. My toffee mocha was incredibly flavorful and rich. The white lavender mocha was aromatic yet sweet. We had to get another. I don't know how we always get so lucky, but my boyfriend and I randomly found ourselves in need of caffeine as we drove through Cotati with his boys and discovered Cotati Coffee Company. I am so glad we did! This place is great!! Service was super friendly. The family behind the counter obviously love their business and love their customers. We ordered 2 large mochas and wanted to ask for extra espresso (since bf likes 4 shots) but that's how many their large comes with!! I asked what their Dirty Chai drink consisted of, and found myself with a large, hot Chai and Espresso blended drink. It was so good. Our youngest one had a hot chocolate, which he also enjoyed. The decoration style inside this small business reminds you that the family has two little girls helping make decisions around here. The T-Rex Unicorn is stamped on their cups and there are lots of cool pictures, plants, and books to look at while you wait. (However, the wait is not very long.) Prices were great and drinks were as awesome as the staff. Would love to support this business again next time we're driving through town. We would go out of our way to stop here! read more

I don't normally write reviews, especially bad ones, but I had too. I went to this coffee shop the other morning with a friend and was thrilled by the welcoming interior and baristas. However, for the price of the coffee it is not worth the extra effort, not to mention you'd get better coffee from starbucks for half the price. While the baristas who were working were nice, what seemed to be their boss or manager was extremely rude to not only her workers but to any customers who didn't seem to be regulars. I wouldn't have even written this review, but she seemed so negative and honestly, kinda scary! Just a warning to anyone who wants to try the coffee - first of all don't, its undrinkable (the teas are good, I've heard), and second of all, beware the scary lady who stares down all customers!! read more

A must try coffee spot in Sonoma county! A true hidden gem in Cotati. It is located inside a shaded building next to a salon. The coffee shop is small but cute. My boyfriend and I make it a point to go when he is in the area visiting! I have tried a variety of their warm/cold lattes and they do disappoint. The menu has a variety of flavors which makes it fun to try new ones. Upon entering you are greeted by the baristas. They are so patient with me while I decide which one to get and give great recommendations. They have a cute set of drawings and decorations which completes the place. Stopped in for a quick see how it stacks up to other local non-chain coffee shops. It's ok. Coffee is a bit bitter to me. It's very inviting if you are wanting to grab a cup and sit tight. Not very grab and go friendly. Parking is dicey if you park on the main drag having to back out into traffic which seems never ending or around back which fills up rather quickly as well. The fact that iced coffee adds $.50 is ridiculous. Sure if I want a cup of ice charge me $.50 by all means. But when I'm paying for the coffee already, why is my choice of hot or cold cost more or less? Blended is $1.00 more. Because blenders cost $1.00 to turn on I guess? Your pricing still seems agregious and if you had not been so ridiculous I would have gone up to a 4 star knowing about your discounts (that arnt on the menu). So I'm sorry blending is so labor intensive that its $1.00 more, or that ice has a high overhead. Ice... the thing I've never paid for before at any other store how did everyone else manage free ice but not this company? I hope you figure out your ice and blender overhead issues. This is a cute little corner coffee shop in downtown cotati with a warm ambience & friendly service. There were a couple of tiny tables you can enjoy your drink at, but space is limited. There are so many specialty drinks to choose from. I went with the Cotati Fog; the lavender & vanilla paired so nicely with the black tea.
