From start to finish, my experience at this practice was wonderful. The receptionist made scheduling so easy and welcoming. My hygienist Nicole was absolutely amazing -- so thorough, gentle, and kind. The doctor was also incredibly attentive and explained everything in detail, making me feel truly cared for. Knowing that the doctors are a husband-and-wife team adds such a family feel to the whole experience. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients, and it shows in every part of the visit. I have been under the care of Dr. Amiran for at least ten years! I followed the practice from their former location to Cottage Hill Dental. The care i receive from Dr. Amiran is unmatched and I refuse to see another provider despite me living in another state! I fly back to Illinois to see her for my routine exams and have done this for a few years now. My wonderful visit today was a reminder of why I make the effort to stay under her care. Dr. Amiran is a consummate professional who genuinely cares for your well being. She takes the time to listen to each concern, discusses it with you and then proposes a path forward empowering you, the patient, to make an informed decision. I am grateful that i have always been treated with respect and my wellness has been put first by her and the entire staff. Dr. Amiran is extremely knowledgeable of issues and leans forward to ensure that the services provided to me are the most advanced. What i have also appreciated is her asking what I wanted, what i was hoping to achieve out of our appointment and how she would help me get there. She is compassionate, she is kind, She is generous, she is intelligent, she is humble and she cares for you and your health and your smile!! I referred my mom to Dr. Amiran who took such incredible care of her! My mom had radiation many years back that now requires specialized care by a professional who would take the time to understand her dental needs and sensitivities she has as a result. Dr. Amiran took the time to listen to my mother and her concerns and eased my mom's medical anxiety by proposing solutions that would work for her. I am grateful for the compassion she showed my mother. Mom's are tough critics and she adores Dr. Amiran! The office is equally wonderful and accommodating. I get reminder texts before appointments, and when i am due for my next check-up. The staff is wonderful about replying within minutes to texts and questions. They work with you and offer flexible options in scheduling and have always helped me get into an appointment when I am In town. The physical office is clean, modern, updated and comfortable and there is ample parking!! I am promptly seen when i arrive within minutes with little to almost no time in the waiting area. I visited Cottage Hill Dental for the first time last month and I had to share my wonderful experience. My original dentist was in Oak Brook and they got taken over by Dr. Amiran and Dr Dr. Asadi. They recently moved over the Cottage Hill Dental and here we are. My normal cleaning appointment was long over due and they actually called to remind me- really appreciate that! The dental office was very clean and upon arrival I noticed the air purifier and the associate at the front desk had everyone coming in use hand sanitizer. Also everyone was wearing masks properly. All of these things really make you feel extra safe when coming in for a dental appointment. Nancy was my Dental Hygienist and she is the best! I feel like I have known Nancy for years. She is so welcoming and did a great job explaining the step by step process of what she was doing. The dental nerves melted away and honestly she had me laughing the entire time. I hope I get Nancy for every single future appointment!! Dr. Amiran checked my teeth officially and she was just as welcoming. Like, Nancy, she explained what she noticed and everything simply for me. I am contemplating Invisalign for my bottom teeth so I made another appointment actually for today! Very negative experience. I was diagnosed with nerve Paresthesia (prolonged numbness, tingling, burning) after a dental procedure w/ Dr. Amiran that I am still not even sure I actually needed in the first place. Very procedure heavy practice and lots of spam texts advertising Invisalign, etc. Dentist did not return my concerned calls, only would speak to me through the receptionist. read more

Let me tell you this place is one of the biggest scams you have ever seen. They will do the maximum amount of unneeded tests and studies on you for just a simple cleaning to really max out your bill while telling you no worries and then you'll find out none of it is covered by insurance and you'll get stuck with 4000 for a simple cleaning that no other dentist would charge more then 200 for. Very unprofessional and unethical to have the dentist, Dr. Amiran, tell my father he is going to die soon because of a possible sleep apnea diagnosis.. Then, to have her assistant giggle at the comment. As someone who has in her bio the emphasis she puts on making her patients feel comfortable, she truly showed her incompetence and ageism towards my father. I am appalled with her feebleminded comment especially with her being a healthcare professional. Nonetheless, her assistant was no better and it's evidently clear how much of a lowlife you have to be to laugh at a comment regarding death. read more

However, there is a new receptionist (at least I think she's new) that could work on her skills and politeness. Other than that...this place will not leave you disappointed!! Once again, Cottage Hill Dental office proves to be top notch. It was a recent Friday night when I experienced a crown cracking and I nervously left a voicemail with the office. They called me back in the morning and Dr. Doodes was able to accommodate me the next day; a Saturday before my flight out of town that was scheduled later in the day. I was given much needed reassurance and a temporary "fix" til it could be repaired. I have been seeing Dr Steffens for more than 13 years. He always makes you feel relaxed and I continue to have confidence in his skills. Now I can say I feel the same as far as his partner; Dr Doodes. The entire office staff is wonderful! I have been a patient of Dr. Steffens for approximately 7 or 8 years. In this time he has helped me with close to if not over 10 root canal-ed teeth. I had bad oral hygiene as a child and chewed tobacco/smoked as a young adult. Recently, a temporary crown I am going to have permanently fixed broke off several times. This is the right of my two front teeth. I immediately called the office and could not reach Dr. Steffens as he was out of town. Dr. Doodes was on call and met me in the office an hour later to help me bond the temporary to my other front teeth. Did I mention this was the day after Thanksgiving?! I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Doodes and Dr. Steffens for all that they have done. The office staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. This is the best dental practice in the Chicagoland area, without a doubt. They are kind, reliable, on time, careful, professional, and very very good at what they do. Dr. Doodes and Steffens are both very personable and take the time to get to know their patients. Excellent bedside manner. Kula is my favorite hygienist (probably because she is the only one I have ever gone to here), but I hear nothing but good things about the rest of the team. Dr. Steffens is a super nice and very skilled dentist from my experience! I had two annoying gaps on each side of my mouth caused by last fillings procedure by another dentist. I had been having to keep floss with me all day everywhere for about a year. Now Dr. Steffens fixed those gaps!! I feel so great that I no longer need to worry about caught food in between my teeth every time I eat. Really great work from him! Highly recommend! read more
