I was so excited to see Nordstrom Rack opened in this part of town. I remembered last time I shopped at the Rack was over 25 years ago in Honolulu. Time has changed. I have been more self aware of my appearance. I needed a wardrobe update since I became single over 2 years ago. I stopped by on my day off this Tuesday. It was a pure curiosity because of the balloon arch at the entrance. Me and my friend walked in and greeted by several employees. There were music and refreshments at the entrance and throughout the store. The store is well organized and OMG there's a huge selection of men's clothing at reasonable prices. I ditched Kohls, Marshall and Ross for Nordstrom Racks. I would never shop at those stores for clothes again. I bought a real leather belt and a Tommy Hilfiger t shirt on my first day. I went back to buy a hoochie daddy shorts. Hehehe. I joined the Nord Club to receive rewards. Because I know I'll be shopping here for all kinds of things. Went to the shoe section asked them if they had my size they didn't. So walked around and picked up a few more things. Went in to try and my daughter stayed sitting on the couch then walked in the fitting room and told me "mom they're talking about you". I said really! Did u hear anything? She said not really but I know for sure they're talking about u. She could tell. Anyways. I said it's ok. We're just hanging out baby. So walked out I chose 2 clearance items to buy. Paid $66 and they gave me a HUGE PLASTIC trash bag. I said wow can I have that smaller bag hanging on the wall? They said no u cant. I said well can I have that plastic bag on the shelf behind the counter they said no. Because I bought only clearance items so I get this huge trash bag instead of a regular boutique bag. Wow!! I said ok wow then I left and my daughter grabbed the bag from me and she held it because she didn't want me to be embarrassed walking out with that huge plastic trash bag. We left and I was so mad because they judged me for buying clearance items and gave me a Huge plastic trash bag. I don't care how much $$ I spend in their store I expect to get a decent bag. I'm a customer. No matter how much $ I spend. Whether it's clearance or not. They judged me by how much $$ I spent. That's so wrong and a huge mistake on their part. They have just lost a customer and not only me but my friends and family. When I left I called in and spoke with the older lady and told her how I felt. She was very nice and I apologized for raising my voice because I was mad and it wasn't her fault. They were just following orders from their owner. Anyways she called me and I told her how I felt and she said that my purchase wasn't enough $$ for me to get a store handbag. Whether it's small or big. I called the staff since I was confused about the measurements and they were the most patient, lovely, kind, and sweet! There was trouble with the phone and connection they spent 20 minutes maybe making sure it was all good. They then showed us everything we needed, and when we saw some more dresses we loved they werent ins rush and so sweet! At one point, they got 3 workers for us over the phone: two to measure a dress and one to call us on FaceTime showing the dresses. We were on the line with them for about an hour maybe more and they were for sure the sweetest most kind and patient and just amazing ladies!! Not into that, but we ended up getting 4 things! 3 dresses (which spare the prettiest I have ever seen) and a pair of boots which were so fabulousz! We got compliments ALL night long, and felt so confident!
