I went into Cotton On at the Irvine Spectrum tonight about 10 minutes before closing with my daughter. We wanted to quickly try on two shirts, but were told the fitting rooms were already closed. I politely asked if they could reconsider, explaining that I have Stage 4 cancer and was finally feeling well enough to take my daughter shopping--something that means a lot to me. The staff was clearly annoyed, but reluctantly agreed. On the way out, I made a comment to the manager, Sara, that keeping fitting rooms open until closing would make sense, especially since other customers also wanted to use them. I even asked, "Aren't you in the business to sell?" She said nothing. As I walked away, I heard another employee laughing. I have never experienced such poor and insensitive customer service. I have never experienced nicer staff, such a clean and well organized store. My boyfriend is very tall and he wears a 34 waist pant. I am shopping for his birthday and Alia was so helpful. Yesterday I decided to do a little shopping before the rains would keep me from going outdoor shopping. I saw an awesome skirt in the window @ Cotton On . I tried on size 2 . I wanted to wear it lower almost at my hips . Carlos came to my rescue. He was able to take the size I needed off the mannequin. While I went to go try that size on , Carlos put a different size on the mannequin. Unfortunately the second skirt I tried on was the right size but when I asked if it would shrink when I washed . Carlos said very possibly it would. Once again poor Carlos had to take off another skirt again off the mannequin. Luckily for me Carlos so do patient with me . I was able to purchase the size skirt i needed. I felt bad that Carlos had to do so much for me . I felt it was important to know that Carlos went above and beyond for me . I feel like he would do this for all his customers. It's all about making his customers happy so they can keep coming back . Fernando was also very helpful. Whatever her name is that's in this photo should learn to be nicer to her customers. Asking a simple question shouldn't be receiving such a nasty and rude answer. Didn't know asking a question was too much to ask of her. After getting such a negative interaction from her, we no longer wanted to look around the store. This isn't a "the customer is always right" situation but more of a treat your customers nicely and with a positive attitude. I wasn't able to catch her name unfortunately but I got that photo on the way out. We're here to shop and have a good time not to get scolded over asking a simple question about the clothes. I came in on Aug 8th at 4:00 and only 2 people were working the register. Please explain why the female and the male at the register were chit chatting the entire time even when helping customers out. The dude didn't even pay attention to me when I asked him I wanted a paper bag or even got my email right for my receipt. They were only talking to each other the entire time. I've visited this location many times, and have never gotten good customer service but when I went in today I was shocked. The blonde/brunette girl who had her hair in a clip, black dress, and adidas shoes was HORRIBLE. I went to the fitting rooms with one clothing item, she didn't even look at me and said "you can go to one of them rooms on the left side." Alright, that's fine, I then come out after trying my item on and I wanted to grab a different size, so I go up to her and ask "should I hand this to you?" The clown in the picture claimed to be the manager and refused to sell it to me unless I took it off first, paid for it, and then put it back on. Was looking for a few basic items and found them but when it came to checking out it was so disappointing to stand in line for over 15 minutes due to the lack of checkout registers. Especially during the pandemic, you want to get people in and out of the store and that was not the experience I had. Sadly, I had to leave the items and look elsewhere. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the customer service here is just awful. I bought a pair of glasses and some socks and when I got home I realized the cashier never put the glasses in my bag. I live a couple hours away from this Cotton On so I called the store and asked if there was a way they could refund my card. I know mistakes happen so of course I was kind and understanding but the woman who answered the phone was not. I was told to call customer service, but when I asked what that phone number would be I simply got hung up on. I'm not even that upset about the glasses I didn't get, but I'm just shocked by the way this situation was handled. Once again mistakes happen and I totally understand! But I just don't understand hanging up on a customer who is just trying to get their money back for an item they never received. read more

Honestly don't leave Yelp reviews but I was greeted with such rudeness by the staff here. Despite them being unwelcoming, they lied to me about my return. They informed me I was unable to make my return in store due to using Afterpay which is a complete lie. They said they couldn't help me and to "call Cotton On Customer Service". Not to be that person but it's literally your job. Just because you're having a bad day or feeling lazy does not mean it's okay for you to not process my return. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews especially during the holidays because I know times are stressful and they bring out the worst in people. But this interaction was downright awful. I had purchased two pairs of sweats, one for $20 and one for $40. Both pairs of sweats were on a table with a sign that stated they were both $20 dollars. The $40 pair wasn't the only one at the table. There were literally piles of those same sweats in multiple different colors. I had planned on keeping the sweats regardless but I then asked Leah/Lia (a red headed manager) by the sweats table why these sweats were $40 when it says they're $20. She said she wasn't sure and then looked closer and said that they were misplaced. I asked how as customers we are suppose to know that, especially when there were PILES of the same sweats. Leah/Lias response to that was "well i'm telling you with my mouth honey.". I'm not sure why she thought it was acceptable to talk to someone like that. I see other reviews with similar experiences with this exact manager. In fact, all the negative reviews are ABOUT HER. As someone in a position of manager, you should know how to interact with customers. I've had better experiences with TRAINEES, whose first time is working in retail. I'm not sure if she felt comfortable talking to me like that because I have a slight accent and thought I needed her explanation to be slowed and more pronounced. Regardless, I returned both sweats and wished her a terrible Christmas, since she seems hellbent on making this holiday miserable for everyone else. Cotton On should do something about her if they instantly want to increase their rating at this store. read more

I would LOVE to give the store a higher review. The employee's are great. Store looks good, but, I have been there twice trying to shop, and the air conditioning was not working either time. This has become my new favorite place to shop! I work close by, so I am always going to the spectrum. This store always looks pretty and clean, they have on trend clothes, and the staff is very helpful. The last couple times I have been to shop a girl with pink hair has assisted me with finding things since they seem to rearrange the store so often. She clearly knows A LOT about their clothes and sizing and has helped me pick a couple outfits and each time I have left with more than I planned to buy. When I've gone in and she wasn't there I was disappointed, but the other staff is helpful and friendly too. The store seems to sell out of items very quickly however have many alternative options available and apparently receive more stock regularly. I have noticed Saturdays here are crazy, which I guess makes sense since the mall gets so busy, but other stores don't seem to get as much traffic...weekdays are easier! read more

Horrible customer service. Wanted to purchase a couple hundred worth of clothes but decided to leave everything after JESS called security on me. I was getting ready to try on stuff in the fitting room. JESS if that's really her name because I don't trust her, decided to ask for the 3rd time if I needed help. She first asked my bf. Then asked me if I needed help. After, for the 3rd time asked if I needed a fitting room started. Like how many times do I need to say no. I felt harassed. She even implied that I was "too" fat to be shopping there. I asked for a large in a shirt. She replied "whatever's out on the floor is all we have" and proceeded to say "you should try the store across that might be more your style." LIKE WHAT! When I walked out after being pretty much escorted out by security I saw the store and it was some random store with low end quality stuff! I feel so humiliated, disrespected, & discriminated. While I was in the fitting room trying on clothes half naked the girl in the fitting room only let me try one 6 pieces at a time according to policy and was so persnickety about it. Security came in and my bf handled it I heard them fussing, quickly changed into my clothes & walked out and asked "what's going on?" He replied "we got a call that you were changing tags." That was JESS'S excuse for calling. At that point I walked over to her and confronted her and she didn't even want to give me any of the employees names when I told her I would be filing a complaint to HR dep. about unfair treatment.
