I've been shopping at this store for at least a decade and it's been interesting to see how it's changed over the years. I feel like it for sure appeals to a younger generation now, but the prices have gone up a ton, while I think the quality has gone down. However, I usually am drawn to the accessories and cosmetic sections. The staff were somewhat non-existent at this store though. The location is large, so it took awhile to seek someone out, and I often found myself going to the cash register area, because it seemed like no one was on the floor. It doesn't help either that there is no uniform of any kind (even if it was just that they all wore a pattern or type of clothing, doesn't all have to match). Maybe I've just outgrown the store!? My friend and I were eating at the Spectrum and had some extra time to go window shopping. We stopped by Urban Outfitters because they had a great sale on a few things. At first I was looking at a jacket from the sale section but saw they had the Parks Project geysers there! They were $140 but I wanted to splurge and get myself the green and cream color one. We made our way to the front when the cashier said he would check if they were on sale. I figured it wasn't since they were from Parks Project. He came back and typed something on the screen. It dropped to $90.51 and my jaw hit the ground. I was excited to save $10 on shipping but saved $56 instead! My friend wanted one but didn't have that much money to spend. After the discount, we made our way back and she picked the blue geyser jacket! We love supporting national parks and actually plan to wear these when we visit Yosemite! read more

I frequent this store often because I live nearby. When I do stop in, I can not determine who is a customer and who works there. No one approaches you to ask if you need help on top of not knowing who is an employee vs. customer. When it was my time to pay the girl looked at me from head to toe and then said I'm off someone else will help you. She walked away and said something to her manager and off she went as I stood there waiting for the girl at the next cashier who was busy tagging clothes to assist with checking me out. One star for the staff Specifically this young girl in the red shirt and overalls I understand hiring young kids but the fact that they have such horrible attitude is what I don't get How does urban outfitters hire this girl when she was just so rude, how did she pass her interview lying about having great customer service. I love Urban Outfitters and used to be drawn to the one in Union Square in SF whenever I'd go into the city. Now, Urban Outfitters is so close to me, but this location isn't as big as the one in Union Square. Cool stuff to decorate your home with. Sometimes the furniture can be funky too, but lately I haven't found anything -- maybe I'm getting too old? Perfect place to look for presents for people, especially those younger people on your list who have some sort of fashion and trend sense. read more

Gotta say, I believe this store is organized chaos. I was greeted very friendly when I walked in. I saw beauty was on sale, so I picked up some things. I ended up going back to the front to get a shopping basket. I saw UO Home was an extra 50% so I wandered back there, only to see regular price items. Then I saw; tucked in the back corner one shelving unit. Some didn't have stickers, some said $9.99, but I had no idea. I was in line, then saw the camera display (Polaroid). I darted over to see if there was any cheap film (lol at me trying to find cheap instant film). Sadly there was everything but film in ways of mini film picture frames, cases for a regular size Instax (I have the mini), etc etc. ^ while I was looking at the cameras, a cashier asked if I wanted to keep my basket at the register. Heavy as it was, I was almost done shopping so I politely refused. I didn't want to be *that* customer, but I did ask for a price check on the clearance, because I didn't know what fell under the 50% off. (Disorganization led to confusion - 'are these phone cases supposed to be here and do they count as 'Home' for 50%?') A notebook marked for sale for $9.99 was actually $1.99 and was half off, so I paid $1.00. That pattern followed where sometimes things weren't marked correctly, ended up being 99 cents (50 with the half off). What ended up being most expensive was my mint marble phone case (half off $9.99 - $4.99) and the two matching jewelry dishes I got for me and my Taurus friend (regular price - $8.00) The cashier didn't ask if I wanted to sign up for rewards :( she asked the girl before me, but not me. I am saddened when cashiers do this (especially if my loot is from the clearance) This store is incredibly expensive, I will not lie. But if you dig through clearance, and believe me, you will dig, you can find some gems. read more

This is my favorite Urban outfitters loc! Located in the Irvine Spectrum right next to Yogurtland and across from Red Robin. I usually find parking nearby but there is parking anywhere really and you can just walk around and do some shopping! The place has a huge selection of things for girls in the front and it pretty much takes all of the store. The guys section is on the back on the left. They have really unique shirts for guys, hats and jackets. Today I decided I needed a jacket because of the weather, and sure enough I found the right one! I also come here for their shirts and sometimes for their socks Urban outfitters has all that you need to "stand out" Customer service is chill, they help out if needed or leave you alone and the fitting rooms are chill too I walked out content with my purchase and hope to come back for more soon! We went to return a brand new pair of pants that had a broken draw string. The password never worn and it is obvious. We bought the pants for our our daughter. The actual brand and color were still in the store and on a mannequin. They would not exchange the pants because we didn't have the original receipt. Will never shop there again. read more

the manager helped me out but she had an attitude about it basically i wanted to get a top because it was priced at $10 but didn't ring up correctly, so she very begrudgingly priced it at the price it was tagged. Then when she took off the security tag it left a big hole so I asked if I could just return it. she said it was final sale and that i got it at the "price that i wanted" (like it literally doesn't say that on the tag) and then begrudgingly let me do the return. it was only like $5 i got back so i told them store credit is fine too i just didn't want a top with a hole and I couldn't have known the security tag would leave it. the attitude this girl had the entire time like why is she defending this huge corporation over a holey top worth $5 3 stars just because at least i got my money back read more

The store is no longer allowing shoppers to try on clothes.(Covid19) We understand and had to make a return. The woman at the counter was almost hostile. Asking us, "why are you returning all of these"? They did not fit was our only reason. She left us at the counter and said, "fine" in a huff. She then said gimme a minute. She left and eventually came back(mind you there was a huge return line-for the exact reason we were there). If you won't let people try on clothes before they purchase them, do not act like a return with tags and receipts is an inconvenience! I used to be a frequent shopper at Urban Outfitters until I ran into many many issues with their online shopping/shipping experience. I find that they often have to ship each item from a different store or warehouse which leads to lots of mistakes on their end. I came to this location as it is the closest location to me and because they forgot one of my items in my order. I decided to come to the store for an item that was sold out online and customer service said there was no way that they could ship me another as they could no longer trace items after it was removed from the website. To my surprise, I found the item at this Urban and my cashier was nice enough to price match it with the price that I had originally gotten online! Urban Outfitters has always been kind of eclectic for me. I love to browse through the barely appropriate books, merchandise and accessories. The clothes have always been kind of expensive but lately, I have really taken a liking to their dresses. Some of them are still kind of inappropriate but for a more petite girl like me, hemlines can make or break a look. I recently found a few sundresses that work well with my figure and I took advantage of a sale they recently had to buy some dresses for date night. While their items are less mainstream than the GAP, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor crowd, they do have a lot of on trend style items that are worth looking at. Sometimes it's easier to order online and return it at the store, so I do that on occasion. Service has always been great. read more

There is another girl I asked the name of named Cat who is super sweet and lovely with her compliments on what you choose in the fitting rooms! Dresses are always trendy and comfortable here too. I've been to many Urban Outfitters over the years and I really like this store. The store has a majority of women's clothing and a smaller section for men's. Personally, I find the record section to be my favorite place. I like that artists still put out actual records. The art and having something tangible to hold is something we lack. The store also has a bunch of retro items from when I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult, I could purchase all the cool stuff that my parents refused to get me. read more

How can you not love Urban Outfitters? You can easily amuse yourself with their selection of books galore. And of course, they have the funkiest stuff - from clothes, to accessories, to random things for your personal space or what not. On my last visit to Urban Outfitters, I found the PERFECT birthday gift for a friend there. I wasn't even looking for one, but there it was. And that's what I just love about Urban Outfitters. You walk in there with no expectations, and you end up a lot happier than you arrived. This particular location is quite spread out. With only one floor, they keep their stuff laid out nicely on the work floor without overcrowding. I don't feel trapped like some of the other Urban Outfitters stores. read more

I understand with the current pandemic there is a capacity at stores and lines waiting to go in. When me and my friends walked right to the front of the line. A female employee with her hair half blue half white gave me and my friends a dirty look. The employee watching the line made a rude remark , "It's gonna be a long wait", I understood. Then I asked about how long and she said she did not know. Although I understand there was going to be a wait, it seemed as if she was trying to get us to not come in. This is a great Urban Outfitters. It's very hard to bash on a chain store that has the exact same prices nation wide, thus I don't understand why people would complain solely based off of prices. Surely, the prices at any UO aren't the best, rather they are somewhat unreasonable given the quality of some of their products, however, the clearance section never fails to tickle my shopping fancy. My best find at this UO was of a pair of Birkenstocks for $10! Yes people - $10 for a pair of Birkenstocks - German-made cork Jesus sandals that are usually about $80-$120! Thus, I recommend not to shop here except except for the clearance section. I gave 5 stars because it's a simple store, same as all the others, same staff that's a hit or miss, but it has the BEST CLEARANCE SECTION in all of the great OC. read more

Store is okay, pretty organized. Customer service is expected, a bunch of kids with their first job. The dressing rooms are closed here and have been for quite a while. I understand with COVID having them closed at first but now having someone to clean the rooms quickly in between would be so much better for business. I've come in three times picking out a few things only to find the dressing rooms are closed so I don't buy. Next time I will just buy and then go try on at a different store, the store can deal with all the returns if they want to by closing the dressing rooms. read more

I stopped by to return an item and was not happy with the service. I purchased something for $3 on a gift card and it went down like this. Sales rep: (Attitude) I can only give you store credit since you purchased this with a gift card Me: If the amount is less then $5 you can refund with cash. Can you just check. Sales Rep: (Doodles on computer and with an attitude) Yea, I can't do it. The computer isn't allowing me. There has to be a purchase in order for me to give you cash Me: No. You can do it. Can you call someone else. Sales Rep: (Rolls eyes and calls manager) Manager: (type type type) There you go. Just give her cash back. Me: (Looks at sales rep up and down and up again) Luckily there was someone who knew what they were doing. Please don't question my knowledge and abilities when it comes to shopping. I buy a lot of crap and I know the ins and outs of the whole game. Aside from the obnoxious sales rep the manager was cool. The store itself is kind of messy. I typically come here solely for their varied selection of t-shirts. They seem to fit me better than shirts I buy elsewhere, even if they do run a little on the small side. I'm guessing that's because their average customer is a miniature white male looking for v-necks and skinny jeans. I found a bad ass t-shirt of Clint Eastwood as The Man with No Name, though it cost a wallet-seizing $30. I know that I'm about as out of the fashion loop as a man can possibly get, but what the hell are they making these shirts out of that they cost so much? I feel like I should be wrapped in a baby fur seal pelt for that amount. But you can't argue with results, and their shirts are flattering on the right body type. I like their selection of books, both humorous and intelligent, and their collection of oddities and useless crap that looks like it would be hilarious to buy, then you get it home and wonder why you spent $12 on a Slimer coin bank, or that portable beer bong you know you'll never use. But it's fun to look at while you're there. They've got some cool stuff to decorate your digs with as well. The only issue I have is that, much like their clothing, it's all mostly overpriced. I'd buy more if they offered more reasonable pricing, but I give them credit for stocking up on some unique items. read more

Hello Kitty Monopoly for $20?! Hell yeah! I'm not really willing to drop money for their regular priced stuff, most of which I feel like I can find similar styles at Forever or H&M. Student budget for the lose. It's always worth digging around UO's sales section though. I pass up their jewelry because everything I've ever purchased has broken. I rarely wear jewelry in the first place, not like I'm wearing a necklace while wrestling a bear, so I can't fathom why they always fall apart. Plus a lot of it makes me itchy. While I don't really look at the clothes here, Urban Outfitters is a great place to buy gifts. I came here Saturday night looking for some holiday gifts, and not only did I find a great present for my work gift exchange, it was on sale! They have a cool selection of books, unusual items (love the Linus blankie), and things for the home, like candles and decorations. For Christmas they have fun-colored plastic trees with ornaments, like beaded clip-on birds. I've also found inexpensive jewelry and cosmetics like flavored lip glosses. I like to look around whenever I have some time to kill before a dinner reservation or whatever, because you never know what perfect gift you might find for someone, or for yourself! read more

I came in here with my girlfriend so she can go shopping, no one greeted us with a "hey welcome how are you guys doing? Etc etc" I'm fine with that but what made me pretty upset was the fact that one of the employees in here was in a rush and almost shoulder checked me, I got out of the way and I said to her "oh excuse me, I apologize" she didn't even say nothing to me in return which I thought was pretty rude. Really horrible customer service. I had been wanting and saving for some dresses for months and the employees were not only not welcoming but in many regards also mean. I've worked retail customer service for a while now myself and would never even think to act like a lot of the people who work here do. Despite the costumer service I got the dresses and when I got home I realized I needed a size down. No big deal. I came back and ordered a size down and then I got it in the mail and it was so damaged I wouldn't even buy it half price... I came back and they wouldn't give me expedited shipping without charging me for a new dress... Ohhh Urban Outfitters! Generally expensive. Sale/clearance is still expensive. Hipster. Lots of funky accessories. Not gonna complain about about UO in general, as it's the same with every UO across the country. I would recommend shopping online. They usually have wayyy better clearance selections and prices that the stores don't have. The store itself is spacious, lots of room to walk around (some tweens even run around in here lol), and SA are always nice. Returns are easy, painless, and SAs has never given me a hard time with returns. I always buy socks here, 2 for $22 and especially on college discount wednesdays, you save quite a bit :) read more
