Hollister is one of my girls' favorite stores so we always stop by one to check out their jeans or tanks. The best time to shop there is when they have their bogo sales on their jeans. FYI: prices may be lower online. They like to hire young people to work at Hollister but usually, the staff at the other stores that I've been to are more professional and aren't as chatty as the staff here at the Irvine location. I was waiting for my girls to try on clothes at the fitting room and there were these four employees that were just hanging out at the rear corner just gossiping while pretending to look busy. They didn't greet their customers or offer to assist anyone there because they were probably just too busy talking among themselves. Hollister as a store for young teenagers is a great place to shop, however the management really needs to up and make sure their staff save their socializing for break time. read more

Their staff is so rude and stuck up! All of the girls dont have any sort of name tags or identification and they all look like customers, they dont greet you or treat you like a human. So I came in about a month ago in the beginning of Sept 2024. I bought a pair of grey sweatpants that were in the back of the store (not on sale). I got home to realize they forgot to take my sensor off which makes sense as to why the alarm went off when leaving the store but I didn't think much of it. I decided to come back a week or 2 later on sept 15th 2024. i provided my online receipt that showed my item through hollister. All she had to do was looking at the SKU numbers (I used to work at Abercrombie its the same company so I KNOW HOW IT WORKS) it took me 15 minutes with me arguing back and forth with the kinda of dark skin girl maybe about her 20's, looked like a manager at the time. She told me there was a 7 day policy to take it off and i needed to contact customer service???? All for a sensor????? When all she had to do was turn around for 5 seconds and remove it. I had my receipt and EVERYTHING! I asked her to call them for me because I didn't know how to explain this long story over the phone. Its not like i was trying to return them!!! Just remove their fault of the issue and removing the sensor. She was so rude. Trying to smile and kill me with kindness did not work lol. I was full on karen. They call their customers thieves! I simply wanted to exchange a tshirt I recvd for xmas. I did not want a refund. There are no exchanges, no store credits, no refunds and no returns without a receipt. Ok, so, the tag is still on the shirt, it has never been worn, there's more of these tshirts on the shelf in front of me, yet, nope, Sofia, the manager, cannot help. I inquired as to why. Called the store today to ask if my daughter may exchange a top that she recently purchased and now has a hole after wearing twice.. A male employee answered the phone and said yes no problem. Once there she was told no. I called and spoke with the store manager Liz. Well Liz is rude. My daughter and her two friends were there and saw her laughing while speaking with me. I asked why I was told she could exchange it if she couldn't. She said her employee must not know the store policy and there's nothing she can do since it has been worn. Definitely gone down hill from the past. There's junk piled up blocking the isles. They only open one side of fitting rooms even though there is a line of people waiting. There are bins and tables blocking the isle outside the fitting rooms where the chairs used to be, so there's no place to wait. Lots of items are not in stock. I was at this store to pick up online orders. One particular order was delivered separately to the store about one week apart, so I was expecting two bags. Employee A was struggling to locate the first bag of the order. Employee B (the incompetent and rude) came over to "help" employee A. Incompetent employee B told me I am all set to go (without the complete order). Because she could not locate the first bag in the system, she told me to call the customer service. I was like... what?? I immediately told her I got an email confirmation that all my orders were delivered to the store. In the meantime, Employee A finds the first bag from the back. I was angry and told Incompetent B that she almost sent me back without my order. Incompetent B turns into Rude B and says it is much easier to ship my order to my home. I bought a shirt from Hollister in Cerritos on November 8th. I realized the shirt had a little rip right after I bought it and tried it on. The tag was ripped off, but I still had the tag with me as well as the receipt. I went to this hollister at the spectrum to return the shirt. Mind you, it's been two weeks since I bought the shirt (if you have a receipt you have a month to return it. I called multiple hollisters as well as customer service and they confirmed.) anyways, IMMEDIATELY the cashier is already giving me attitude. I explain to her that the item is damaged and I need to return it or at least exchange. She said there's nothing we can do because the tag is ripped off. I explained to her that it's never been worn, I bought this from YOUR company and YALL sold me a ripped shirt. She rolls her eyes and leaves without saying anything, comes back with the manager. The manager is telling me the same thing that she can't do anything about it. It hasn't been 30 days, I have the receipt AND THE TAG. Yes the tag wasn't attached to the shirt, but you can STILL do an exchange at the LEAST. As I was talking to the manager, the original cashier interrupts us and says "you didn't even buy this from our store" in the most snarky and rude way possible. I looked at her and told her no one was talking to you and she rolls her eyes and walks away... yeah girl BYE cus you brought ur manager to talk to me tf this has to do w u ?? I was being respectful and calm until that lil ass girl felt the need to get involved and get petty. I straight up told her manager that was completely disrespectful of her. i really had an awful experience for the first time, i matched a sweat shirt with pants for almost $100 and i only used one time, the color of sweat shirt was changed due to sweat and i thought that gonna be ok after washing. I was attracted by the 60% off Winter Sale signs. My friend also told me over winter that they have mad clearance knock-downs. I went in and the store was neat and clean! I found some items I liked, and the shirts that were normal $20 were now 60% off. Wow. For some reason I had the impression Hollister was fairly pricey, but with this sale I had an armful of stuff to try on. The clearance section had swimwear, sports bras, and lots of jeans on sale. There was even a sign that said additional 30% off clearance! Given that, there was also Gilly Hicks on clearance. There was a bra priced 2.99 but another bra priced 9.99. Undies were 1.99. When I went to try on clothes, the doors are locked so you have to find someone to open the fitting room doors. Lucky me..someone didn't close their door all the way when they left. I decided to also leave my door ajar afterwards to save someone the hassle of tracking someone down. I took my items to pay, and there was a line with 2 cashiers. It was an okay wait and I saw I didn't get my 30% off! I inquired and the cashier said that the deal was over, but since they forgot to take the sign down they'll still give it to me. Hollister has been one of my favorite stores for a long time. I love the rock music, the surf atmosphere and the upbeat and cool sales staff. Well... wait a minute... the upbeat and cool sales staff was absent at this store a few days ago when I was there. Nobody was at the front of the store to greet customers (which is rare) and not one single sales person interacted with me (which is also really rare). Almost every time, someone would ask me how's it going, or are you finding everything ok, or do you need help finding a size, etc. Maybe it's just this store. Or maybe it's just Thursdays... Maybe it's just me, but I also find the style and design of their clothing not as cool as before. I also don't like their new logo, which is a much bigger seagull than before. I think that seagull is too big, and in a way, screaming your brand. The older tiny seagull is more subtle and classy. This store is also smaller, and not as well organized as many others such as Brea or Galleria. Overall it's still a pleasant shopping experience -- at least I'm in a Hollister store -- but I have been to much better stores. I also wish that Hollister will make their lines of clothing more appealing, like they once were. read more

The customer service at this Hollister is absolutely appalling. I came in excited to shop and found quite a few items. However, when I went to check out and simply asked to price match one item that was a lower price online than in store the manager gave me a hard time and treated me with attitude. Then when I asked to use an additional coupon, he rudely interrupted me and said I couldn't use it since he already "gave me a discount." Price matching an item is just honoring your own company's pricing, it's not giving a customer an "additional" discount. I was purchasing a lot of clothing and just wanted to save a bit of money since I'm a loyal Hollister shopper. Avoid at all costs. I don't usually shop here but I walked in for their Jean sale for $25 dollars. To my surprise they had advertised "buy one get one 50% off" along the jean racks, nothing indicated jeans were excluded. Only clearance items seemed to be excluded. When I asked a sales associate she quickly removed the signs and said she would ask, the guy she asked said "well the sale is already half price of their regular price" but that didn't answer if the jeans applied to this additional "sale" as advertised. When I asked if they were honoring the post they kept going in circles as to how the current sale price of $25 is already a "good price", but, to not drag this on they did not honor their false advertisement and I will most likely not be shopping there again. This Hollister is just 'ok.' There is frankly nothing fabulous about it... it seems smaller than all the others in Orange County (Brea & Orange) and a bit darker inside. Maybe it's 'cos a lot of teenagers are dropped at the Spectrum and left to their own devices? I can never seem to find what I'm looking for here, unfortunately. The staff are teenagers themselves who could give a darn, either. I like this store. I always seem to stop in every time I go to the spectrum. The girls who work in the store are always extremely nice and helpful. The manager, I didn't get her name, she went out of her way to see if they had a pair of pants I was looking for. They didn't but she let me know I could expect to see them next season. I see a lot of negative reviews for this store however I haven't once felt any lack of customer service or rude display from the staff. I went there yesterday 6/25/2015 to buy some shirts and no one helped me and there was this young man who walked passed us 5 times and not once said welcome to Hollister or finding everything ok? There were these older women next to me and he asked them if they needed help then again we saw him and he saw a different woman behind us and went to her to see if she was finding everything ok? Ummm? Am I invisible or am I not white enough to be in your store am I not wealthy enough whatever the case was there is no reason for anyone to feel unwanted or even discriminated against because of what? My tattoos? my youth? the way I was dressed? He clearly saw us walking in and looking at clothes and I over heard him and walk by us to ask 3 different customers that were older if they needed help I f********** needed help. I will never ever come to this store again love the clothes but I am just going to order online the manager of the store and Hollister itself really need to look into who they hire or give a customer service class.
