I've been a Binswanger glass customer for many years. I needed some glass panels made to protect…read morethe top of my vintage Magnavox console TV/Stereo. It has a large panel in the center and two sliding doors covering the turntable on one side and controls on the other. I Googled to see if there was a glass shop in Bastrop and found RMK. Support local they say..So I did. I took the measurements and took both of the physical sliding top covers to the shop so they could make sure they are right. The woman at the front told me that they were short handed and it would be about three weeks. Wow that's a long time but okay. Binswanger probably would have done it in two days. So weeks past and nobody called and I checked in. Nope not ready but they're working on it.. Called the next day, yes they are done. So I get there and the two door glasses were done but not the top. They said come back in a couple of hours so I had to mill around Bastrop for two hours. Got them home and the first thing I did was tried to put the top center piece which was heavier glass..It was exactly an inch too long, even though the dimensions on the paperwork were correct. Not only that the edges were finished very poorly. So I moved on to the sliders. The first one fit great. The second one..An inch too long. This was Tuesday. I turned right around and took those two pieces and the door back. They said they would fix it. Would it be done by Thursday? "it should be" So today is Thursday. I called around noon and Zach told me that they would be done by the end of the day so I came back at 4:30..Still not done!!!!! I had to stand there and wait. Zach worked on them for a while then walked away and passed by me. Another guy finished. He finally brought the pieces and put them in my car. The edges of the large glass was still not very well finished. I got home, and the other glass is too wide..I couldn't test this the first time because the glass was too long to fit down onto the door but it's about 1/8" too wide so the door won't open. I'm fairly disgusted with the service I received and not even an apology for making me come back three times for their errors. I've included photos. Three pics of the edges of the large glass and how much off the door glass was. I'm not going back. I'm going to Binswanger in Austin. Do yourself a favor..Call Binswanger...

BLUF: they quoted me to remove my existing entrance door and install a new one. sent me a quote for…read morematerials and labor which i accepted (i have all records of communication). After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens. I was contacted by Marc Calderon by phone for a job on February 9, 2023…read more He was responding to an Angi's List or Home Advisors' inquiry. I hired him to replace a window and he completed the job as promised and on time. I contacted him again on December 4th, 2023 to provide window balancers for two windows and when he arrived, he upsold the balancers for total window replacements. He required a 479.32 deposit with a balance remaining of $311.09. I issued a check in the amount of 479.32 and the check was deposited in an account at the First National Bank of Bastrop on December 9, 2023. I have since contacted him on several occasions for completion of the job he promised to complete within a January 8-10, 2024 timeframe but he has basically stopped responding to my texts. However, on January 11th, 2024 he texted saying he had the flu and would be checking scheduling to see when he could get the project completed. He again stopped responding until I told him I would be filing a police report saying he was sorry we were having to have this conversation and promised to prioritize my project. Again, he stopped responding to my texts which leads me to believe he is stalling and has no intention of completing the project. The company only responds when I threaten to file a police report and has not completed the work as promised. Marc Calderon has done this before as evidenced by the complaints on the Better Business Bureau's site.
