Extremely disappointing experience at Coulter GMC. I've purchased many new vehicles in my life and consider myself an informed consumer, and this dealership seemed very unhappy that I understood the numbers and questioned unnecessary charges. I originally came in to look at two trucks, but somehow one of them was suddenly unavailable during my appointment. Conveniently, it was the truck with more options at nearly the same price. Right away it felt like they were trying to push me toward the lesser-equipped truck instead. Then came the advertised rebates and financing offers that apparently could not actually be combined once we sat down to discuss the deal. That immediately felt like bait-and-switch tactics. The dealership also tried adding nearly $2,000 in "mandatory" extras I never asked for, including: $100 for nitrogen in the tires Around $500 for a "KeyFetch" key replacement program Window tint and other add-ons When I questioned these charges, I was basically told, "This is what we do when we sell vehicles." Customers should not be forced into paying for unnecessary add-ons just to buy a vehicle. The financing process was even worse. Salesman Joe, the GM, and finance manager Ryan told me 5.75% through Global was the "best rate available." After checking myself, I found out customers can apply directly online and get 5.5%. Same story with GAP insurance: they attempted to charge around $1,000, but Global itself offers it for about $495. At that point it became obvious I needed to fact-check everything myself. All I wanted was a clean purchase agreement with: Advertised price Tax Title Registration Standard doc fee No forced extras. No inflated products. No games. Instead, the entire experience felt shady, misleading, and unnecessarily confrontational because I refused to be taken advantage of. Buying a vehicle should not feel like a battle over hidden fees and misleading financing information. Very frustrating experience overall. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!! What a joke. At first is seemed good like all ways I have bought lots of cars and this was by far the worst. The car was broken we took delivery on it 7pm and the next morning took it for a drive and had problems and told them they said they would take care of it but 3 months later still have a broken car. It's in the shop for the 3rd time now no loaner car not one ever calls me back I have left message after message no return calls if I get some one on the phone they are very rude. My mother want me to go in to cancel service agreement with finance director John Bakos. He told me to get out of his office in a rude manner because my mom said that she couldn't come down to cancel it cause she is working doesn't have time to come down there. The reason the guy was rude to me and told me to get out as office is because she mentioned the word attorney. Telling someone to get out of your office in an angry manner is not good customer service. There's better ways to go about customer service and he went about it the wrong way. Their service department has 100% better customer service then there finance director does. We will never go back to this dealership to buy a vehicle again. read more

This dealership is terrible. The managers and the salesman are crooks. I bought a GMC truck from this dealership and had to argue with them for days to give me a fair deal. Finally after I told them another dealership which doesn't even exist was offering my a certain deal they were able to match it. I came in with the down payment and was told I would take the truck home that day. Wrong. Still did not let me leave with the vehicle even after paper work was signed. Fast forward 30k miles later the truck is already having transmission issues and apparently there's all kinds of class action lawsuits going around for GMC and all of their 2015-2020 trucks transmission being extremely defective. Some people not even making it to their house from the lot and having to have the vehicles towed back to the dealership. I called in about my issue and a week later still have not heard back from the dealership. Coulter is terrible. read more

Fantastic experience with Nick López and the finance guy, Will. Nick really worked with us and made the buying process so easy. Provided all our info and Will had the documents ready to go the next day when we were able to go in. Even after sale was complete Nick is still very helpful and advised ok to call him to schedule service appointments. In mid-August I saw an e-mail ad for a 2021 Buick Enclave Avenir with a sale price that caught my attention. I made an appointment with salesperson Crystal Fletcher for the next morning. Coulter on Camelback made a reasonable offer on my trade (a 2018 Buick Enclave Premium) and I went ahead and purchased the advertised new Enclave, no muss, no fuss. Crystal was a no pressure salesperson, as was the finance officer who completed the paperwork ( I don't recall his name but I enjoyed chatting with him about his former career as a New Mexico State Policeman). Thank you to Coulter Cadillac/Buick/GMC for all of your attention. This is the third auto that we have bought from a Coulter dealership, beginning with a 2008 Cadillac DTS, traded for a 2017 Cadillac CT6 (still have it), and now the 2021 Enclave. Each salesperson in turn did a fantastic job getting us through all the ins and outs of car buying and I appreciate their skill and knowledge. Came in for service on my diesel truck. The oil change coupon mailed to me (with my name wrong, I might add) was not for diesel trucks, so I could not use it. The 15% off 'any service available in our service department...' was also not honored, as it was "only for repairs," even through the coupon did not educate such. Inflated prices and dishonest practices make this place unacceptable, unless it's the only option available! read more

I made an appointment to come in for service on 6/18/20. They were very vocal about the fact that service is by appointment only, due to COVID-19. Which turned out to be complete nonsense. I arrive a couple minutes before my appointment on 6/22/20 and am not greeted by my assigned service provider. Instead, I clearly see him sitting at his desk doing I don't know what. He finally comes out, but still doesn't greet me. When he finally says something, he doesn't greet me by name or even introduce himself, which is odd since he is the assistant service manager. One would think he'd have better customer service skills. We then go over the several issues I have. He then tells me my appointment was pretty much worthless. My car wouldn't be looked at for at least a day and I'd be without a car. I was furious at this point. What kind of stuff is that? Get there, knowing I have an "appointment" for service and then find out they can't keep it? Being a Cadillac, GMC, and Buick service center, I expected more. Then again, their sister store in Tempe is the same. I didn't go there because all of the problems I had. Oscar, the assistant service manager, goes on to tell me that service from last week still haven't been met yet. He said they knew they had a backlog of vehicles from Friday and Saturday, but he didn't have the common courtesy to give me a call and let me know. No, I arrive to this BS and am furious. He expected me to drop my car off and leave it for a day or two or three, without a vehicle. I took my keys and asked for a number to speak with the store manager. I call and only get an answering machine. I would advise against taking your vehicle for service! read more

First time ever writing a review. This is how strongly I feel about rating your establishment... Wish I could give zero (0) stars. I recently took my vehicle in for service for a braking light, which intermittently went out. Fun fact, I took my vehicle in the previous week for an oil change and Coulter did not find anything wrong with my vehicle (braking light or anything else). Fast forward to my light issue. After we resolved the braking light issue with a GMC rebate of sorts, I was quoted over $2,400 for additional service, which I declined because I kept thinking, "why didn't they catch this the previous week." I took my vehicle to another establishment (Friendly Auto Centers), and not only did they say some of the items quoted at Coulter Buick GMC we're not even in my vehicle (certain filters etc.) but everything else was not even needed at all. All in all, the $2,400 plus I was quoted from Coulter Buick GMC, was $0 from Friendly Auto Centers, with the caveat that I clean my K&N filter. Finally, one of their quotes for " Fluid leaks (Oil/transmission/coolant) perform oil pan re-seal soon" for $1,462.74 was actually quoted for only $200 at Friendly. This gives you an idea of how much you will be gouged if you decided to service your vehicle here. All I can say is wow. Not sure if it is the incompetence of the service members, or the greed of management, but I will never, ever, either buy, or service my vehicle here again. I would much rather drive 30-minutes and receive real service, with integrity and know I am receiving what I pay for. read more

Had a great experience with my service advisor, Gary Shimp. I had a 30K tune-up and glanced at a coupon, thinking it was $10 off. After we rang up the transaction, I gave Gary the coupon and drove away. He chased me down the service line to tell me it was a 10% off coupon. Rerunning the invoice saved me about 50 bucks. Not sure every service advisor would take that extra effort. read more

I got the old bait and switch...either due to shadiness or incompetence. I had literally one requirement (option) for my car. I've leased several Buick's and I know they are nice vehicles and don't need a bunch of fancy upgrades. I come for the 2nd time to test drive (the car wasn't ready the first time). On test drive I notice it doesn't have the one thing I'd asked for. Was told they'd "make it right." Their version of making it right was to offer me another vehicle with a monthly payment 25% higher. While they we're figuring out how to "make it right" I saw 100% of staff not practicing social distancing. Plus my salesperson approached me 2x without a mask. AVOID them. read more

This is my second time using the service center for my Buick and unfortunately I can't report the greatest of experiences. The service associate I had initially booked my appointment with was unable to return a simple phone call to ensure that the tire my vehicle required was in stock. I had left a voicemail at 8:06AM that morning, which I felt gave an ample amount of time to get back with me. My mother called twice and left one voicemail in the early afternoon. I called again within an hour of closing time and got through only after specifically asking the receptionist if he was in the office today. When I did finally get ahold of him, his response was that he didn't have time today to check since it was now evening and he'd be heading home for the day (exactly why I called over 8 hours ago). I asked if he could please touch base with my mom who works at a Buick dealership in another state (she understands these things much better than I do - I know literally nothing about cars, prices, service, etc.). He said he would call right after. I gave him the number and made sure she had her phone on her. Two hours passed, and of course, no call. There was no return call the following morning either, or in the following days. I found it incredibly frustrating that I was expected to be respectful of his time, when the same was not reciprocated for myself, the paying customer. I ended up scheduling another appointment a few days later. At that appointment I found it rather off-putting how reluctant all staff members seemed to be in greeting customers. Their set up wasn't that clear to me, so I didn't understand where I should pull my vehicle into. I parked, walked into the service lot and aimlessly waited for 5-10 minutes while I watched several employees look over their shoulder and notice me standing there. Not one employee greeted me. they all continued to speak amongst themselves in the cubby/cubicles things they each work in. The employee I had made the meeting with was in fact busy with another customer away from his desk at that moment, however I feel it reflects poorly on a company when another team member doesn't step in for the experience of the customer. If nothing else, a simple, "Hello, how many I help you today?" or, "Hey there, they're just finishing up with another customer and they'll be right with you" would have done wonders. The service and routine maintenance performed on my vehicle during both of my appointments in the last year here have been of good quality. They run it through the car wash but do not vacuum the interior before returning it to you - no problem, but definitely a nice touch from the Buick dealership I was accustomed to. They do offer Lyft rides to and from the service center so you don't have to wait while your vehicle is being serviced. Based on the poor communication and just all around terrible customer service, in the future I will be finding another location to have my vehicle serviced and I suggest others save themselves the bull do the same. read more

Expect $500 for an alarm system that you didn't want but is mandatory (welcome to 1995, I had no idea how quickly cars end up in Mexico) and $700 in dealer preparation fees (which is supposedly for doing the 120 point inspection). Also get ready for the good cop bad cop routine as the salesman works with you but the bit boss behind the glass refuses your best offer. The whole "It's not me, it's him". I am beyond angry right now. I had placed a complaint a few days ago through their online chat chat about my service earlier in the week. I was told a manager would call me. No manager has reached out and I just got a follow up phone call from the individual I complained about who randomly brought up hearing I complained and wanting to discuss it with me. As a dissatisfied customer I do not believe I should be the one to inform or discuss my complaint with this individual with is a MANAGERS job. He has my personal information and I had believed my privacy would have been respected. Took my car in for oil change, adjusting my backup camera, as well as remote start for my engine was not working. Randy Russo was really helpful and took care of me in a timely manner. He also helped me with a rental (free of charge) from enterprise as they did not have loaner cars available. They fixed everything, expect for the backup camera however I was told it was because of my license plate being bent. But was also told if it still does not seem to work bring it back and they will look at it again. Randy was really nice and everything was free of charge even the oil change. My car was under warranty so no $ anyway but if you want good customer service go to Randy! read more
