No explanation, no apology -- just the expectation that we'd sit there and accept it. While the number of credit checks was normal for a vehicle purchase, what they did with that credit information was completely unacceptable. Camelback Kia pulled my father's credit without authorization, using a separate, unrelated application that had nothing to do with the deal we were actually there for. My father did not agree to be a co-signer. He was never authorized to be used as one. Yet they involved his credit anyway. That is not a "mistake." That is a serious violation of trust. When we questioned this, the staff became rude, dismissive, and evasive. Instead of concern or accountability, we were treated like we were the problem for noticing. The moment they realized they couldn't pressure us into salvaging their mess, the professionalism disappeared entirely. This dealership wastes customers' time, plays reckless games with sensitive financial information, and relies on misleading people into showing up under false pretenses. Classic bait scam Nic told me I had a 100% approval had me drive 2 hours from Rio Rico to find out it was based on a co-signer I specified I did not have MULTIPLE times. I made it clear how important an approval was as I didn't want to waste my time driving up there if they couldn't get me approved. They told me they had a 100% approval with capital one. I went up there and it turns out they added my dad as co-signer and could not get me approved alone. So if you're working with Nic or Nicholas RUN. This review is for the service department. I highly recommend taking your car ANYWHERE else to get serviced. I have held off on doing this review for a while, hoping that maybe my experience was just a one-off, but I've had several now and they are all bad. First, when I took my car in a couple of years because it started driving extremely sluggish all of a sudden, they told me it was just normal for my car and nothing I could do about it. I took it to Alexander's Auto, and they quickly determined that it was my catalytic converter and fixed it for me. Worked beautifully. Then, my AC was having issues and they told me my car just wasn't that great at AC and wouldn't keep up in AZ summer. Took it somewhere else and they actually diagnosed the problem and took care of it for me immediately. I took my car in for alignment and other services. When I got it back, the alignment was worse. Had to take it back 15 minutes later and ask them to do it again. Today, I had an oil change scheduled for first thing in the morning and told them I would hang out and wait until it was done. They told me it would be 2.5-3 hours for an oil change! I told him I can't wait that long and would need to go somewhere else. The guy just said "okay" and went back to his computer. Even the services I have had completed there have been subpar. Don't bother coming here, just take it to a great service shop. There are several around the area. read more

It was a very great buying experience. I got screwed over with my last car purchase at a different dealership. My old car kept having to get repaired and yet I still had 3 years worth of payments on it. Looking for a new car I wanted to learn from my mistakes of car purchases in the past I was able to do that . Ali and Jacob are very personable and totally under of my situation. Ali asked what my favorite color is and I said green. He took me out and showed me this nice green car. I test drove it and I loved it. Finances were great, I got 10k trade in value for my old car with high mileage and repairs plus a 3k discount. I bought my car here and the sales process was great. No complaints on that side. Highly recommend Jacob Hill. The real issue is the service department. I scheduled an appointment to get a warranty repair done. During scheduling, I was told the part I needed would be ordered ahead of time so everything would be ready. When I showed up, I was told the part had never been ordered. Travis, my service advisor, said the person who booked it was supposed to take care of it, but it simply wasn't done. My time was wasted. This isn't the first time I've had Travis as my advisor, and every time it has felt careless and unprofessional. Today I had to walk out before I said something out of frustration as his remedy was to make another appointment. This level of service is unacceptable. Took the '21 Soul in for oil change and tire rotation plus 3 warranty issues. 1. The bolt holding the clip that holds the driver's visor fell out, so the clip does not stay in. 2. The automatic window does not work. 3. The RES+ cruise control button causes the car to continue accelerating when in cruise control and you press and release the button. It does not stop accelerating until you press the brake. My advisor, Travis, had to be told 6 times the problem with the RES+ button. He kept telling me the function of the button is to get you back to your previous cruise control speed, which I understand, but it also has a 2nd function. Even when you release the button, it will continue to accelerate. His BS explanation is that if you hold the button for 10 seconds, it will increase your speed 10 MPH. Again, that's not what was happening. I was on 51, going about 65 MPH. I pressed the button for 3 seconds. By his BS explanation, it should have accelerated 3 MPH. I was doing 92 before I knew I was going that fast because it kept accelerating. To make it worse, his "tech" tested the button and said it was working fine..... NO IT'S NOT. I tested when I got the car back and the same issue is going on. Maybe if I draw a picture with crayons, he will get it. The window issue required a part that they did not have. I was told it would take 10 days to get it. The great news, though, is that they were able to fix the clip that holds the visor. Of course, I wouldn't want to overwhelm them with more tedious tasks. I had a very, very bad experience at this place. Three months ago, I took my car to get the oil changed; when I picked it up, the car was dirty, and they said they would wash it. They never did, but that's just the beginning of this story. When I took the car out 44 minutes later, it stopped working. I need to tow the vehicle back to them and ask what happened. They said they needed to check it out. After a couple of days, they said the fuel pump, which, after 2 months and a half, I needed to buy myself because they said my car is a Kia Mexico, so they didn't have the piece. I kept waiting and calling every week to see how everything was going, but they always said that Kia Mexico didn't respond or have any excuse. After all this, I needed to pay for the piece and give it to them 6 days ago after three months of waiting for its solution. During this process, Adam (the department manager) initially seemed interested in helping, but over the days, it became clear how little he cared about our case. He could not respond to the last text messages and never answered the calls. The same happened with Amber, the person who was supposed to inform us about the process frequently. We thought this was going to be finished after we brought the fuel pump, but they said, "Sorry, guys, but your battery and tires are not working either." The tires, probably, yes, but the battery...? It is because the car was always stuck there. My vehicle is 2 years old, so I took it to Kia Camelback for an oil change to keep the "Kia warranty." I'm getting my car back three months after paying the price for the oil change; I don't remember how much it was: $600 for the fuel pump, $260 for towing, $446 for two tires, and $139.90 for the battery. During all this time, my wife has been pregnant, so she was not able to move because it is her car, and they didn't offer a car meantime (based on we have no driver's license from here) until I went to speak with Adam about my situation. He said he found something and told me you must pay first, and we'll return the money. I thought: "They could not even pay for the fuel pump. What if I pay for the car rental and they don't pay me? How much does it cost to rent a car for three months?" Today, they gave us the car fixed. They were not even able to wash it. The car was dirty, and the driver's mat was covered in oil. Adam could not go, and I apologize for all this time. He sent somebody else. Kia Camelback is horrendous, and now, before I start writing this review, I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews, too. They don't have any service attitude. This is a horrible experience with these people. I hope this message causes them to lose as many sales as possible so they can be affected the way they shamelessly and disrespectfully affect people. HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP/CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I usually don't write reviews, but my experience at Camelback Kia left me feeling so upset and mistreated that I still think about it weeks later. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I did. After a 14-hour shift, I went to the dealership to buy a car that John had promised me at a specific price. I made sure to come in before the Friday deadline he gave me. When I arrived, suddenly the price was different. Nestor, the salesman I was working with, took me to his supervisor -- who I later learned was Brian. When I met with Brian, things went downhill fast. He didn't introduce himself. He didn't listen. He just bluntly said, "We're not giving it to you for that price." I explained what John told me, how I was told to come in by Friday or lose the deal, but Brian essentially called me a liar. He said, "What made you think you'd get a 2025 at that price?" and when I pushed back, he told me, "It's only $500 -- you're really crying over $500?" His tone was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. He even asked me directly, "So are you not going to take the car and just leave?" I told him absolutely, I was ready to walk out. Only then did Nestor step in, and finally got the price back down to what I had already been promised by talking with Brian. Brian never came back to apologize or take accountability for the way he treated me. Unfortunately, things only got worse in finance. Tyler was pleasant at first, but when I declined the extra warranty (multiple times), he became noticeably irritated and short with me. He barely explained anything and kept rushing me with, "Just sign here," or "Click next." I still don't know how to use half the features in the car, because no one took the time to explain anything. I left the dealership feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and completely alone in the process. It's been almost three weeks now. No follow-up call. No apology. No check-in. Nothing. They took my money and pushed me out the door. I walked in excited to buy a new car and left feeling like I had been deceived, disrespected, and treated like I didn't matter. The way I was spoken to -- yelled at, gaslit, and dismissed -- was humiliating. I left the dealership so upset that I had anxiety for days. It genuinely made me feel bad as a person, not just a customer. I deeply regret buying from Camelback Kia. Update 6/18 at 2PM: Called Tammy with Customer Service at Camelback Kia after she posted that she wanted to understand what happened. I explained to her what happened and she went to the manager. Manager tells her that was the price they could do last month and not this month. I forwarded her the emails from Jacob from 6/11 with the price out the door for $35,999 so they were up by $1,001 not $2K. Tammy says she will print out the email and show to the manager. So the general manager of Camelback Kia, I believe his name is Travis Spencer calls me to say he wants to make the deal and wants to honor the price of $35,999 if I remove my review (which is above from here) I have placed on several websites. He didn't call to make a deal, he called to have the review removed. He then proceeds to ask me when I will come in because he has some questions which I proceed to say, I'm not wasting my time again driving to your dealership again you can ask over the phone. He proceeds to ask me about financing the car which I have stated repeatedly, I am paying cash for the vehicle. I should not have to finance to get a discount off a car. I don't have to do it with a house, appliances, paying for college, etc. In the email from Jacob, it said for price, title taxes, and fees it would be $35,999 with no dealer add on. General Manager continued to offer me dealer ad on I don't want and says in order to get to that price, I have to finance. I'm not financing. Be a man and honor what your employee placed in writing, $35,999 for a 2025 Wolf Grey Kia Sportage SX Prestige. I have attached a screenshot of the email of the price I was offered! So again everyone, if you wan trash customer service, come on down to Camelback Kia. If you want a General Manager who won't honor the price his employees sent, come on down to Camelback Kia! If you want a General Manager in Travis who hangs up on you because he didn't get a car sold off the lot, come on down to the pathetic trash of a dealership Camelback Kia and make sure you ask for Jacob Hill and Travis Spencer and they will give you the best experience trash can offer in all of Phoenix! After almost a month of dealing with pushy salespeople, false promises, and walking away from dealerships that didn't listen to my needs, I had zero expectations when I stepped foot into this one. And honestly, I never thought I'd be writing a positive review about buying a car, let alone one for a Kia. But here we are. From the moment I met Moody Trabolsi, everything shifted. I don't know if it was his energy or what, but something about him just felt different. No pressure, no sales tactics, just realness. He listened to me. Really listened. I told him what I needed, and instead of bringing out a car that was way over my budget like so many others had, he went straight to the one he believed fit exactly what I asked for. That in itself was already a shocker. The whole experience felt honest and Moody has this comforting "dad-vibe" energy about him! At one point, I nearly walked away because I wasn't sure it would all come together. And then the manager literally walked out to my car, sat down with me, and hit me with real numbers I could work with. It wasn't about pressuring me. It was about actually helping me. And here's a moment I'll never forget. They brought me into what I call the "Deal or No Deal" room. You know, the one where the banker makes the call? That little detail may seem small, but to me it meant I wasn't just another customer. I felt....Important! -This experience alone will always be brought up at family dinner now too, haha.- This establishment really respected my time and my effort, and was committed to being fully transparent. I left yesterday with a Certified Pre-Owned 2023 Kia that not only met my price range but hit approximately the exact monthly payment I had in mind. And honestly? I never thought I could end up with such a beautiful, reliable car, especially after the experience I had leading up to this. I truly believe the stars aligned that day. God knew I needed someone like Moody to guide me through what had been such a frustrating journey. Took 2 hours to patch a tire that he immediately lied and tried to tell me I needed to replace (I checked the tread just before coming in, and the nail was nowhere near the side wall). I've bought two cars between them and Hyundai and with only one exception, every useless service rep here has tried to sell me on unnecessary maintenance. I'm fortunate that I have friends who work on cars who are able to advise me on what actually needs to be done for good upkeep. If I trusted these scammers, I'd be out thousands on superfluous service, on top of paying them $500/mo for this car. I have never written a review despite this experience for years, but this rep Ismael was particularly rude today. Instead of recognizing my frustration and adjusting his tone, he met my tone with anger. He's unfit for a customer-facing position. I would know. Bought a new 2025 Sportage SX-Pres. last month. I negotiated with Jacob via emails and got a significant discount possibly because it was a 2025, not a '26 and I financed plus a military discount. . Somewhat peeved when I saw the dealer add ons but Jacob removed about half of them. Arrived at the dealership...Jacob greeted us on time. The sale price was exactly what we agreed to. The only delay was waiting for the finance guy, Issac, but he respected our decision not to buy anything that would inflate the price. All in all, it was probably the best car buying experience we had. I do wish that Jacob or somebody had been able to explain more of the features of the car...I'm still referring to the manual and videos available for that purpose. read more

My wife had her 2017 Sorrento in for brake light diagnostics today, she sent me the upsell and a clearly deceptive diagnostic report. I called service and requested documentation from your service tech when I heard the words " high resistance" That led me to challenge the validity of how this so-called hack of a Mechanic obtained high resistance without using a multimeter or sending my requestEd pictures showing the ohms resistance. The phone call I received back was "he used the wrong words he meant to say that the copper contact points for brake light bulbs were corroded." There was an additional amount of "repairs needed" totaling just shy of $10,000 yet we received no pictures or video of at least half of what this so-called technician found worn or needing replaced. They even wanted $600 for spark plugs that they don't even know if they need replaced! For edification and Bona Fides, I'm a maintenance manager that oversees $60m worth of earth moving machines. The only reason we brought her vehicle to Kia today is because I didn't have time for it. I was willing to pay for service work for someone else's lower paid "technician" because my time is money. However after a clearly deceptive diagnostic followed by upsells to the tune of $10,000 with zero evidence to support a necessity for ANY said service work.... I AM ABSOLUTELY LIVID. Then Jacob the sales manager had the audacity to try and sell her a new car in light of her vehicle's "needs". Don't buy here.   Don't get service here. I did not buy my car here because the sales people seemed slimy. I came for a recall fix - only because they are the closest dealer to me. Getting an appointment not great. There chatbot sucks. There service team is hard to get a hold of. They wanted $1,200 in service fees for other "must" do items.  No thanks.  Got called a few days, later offering 50% off (just proves the rip off rate).  My biggest complaint was picking up my car. It took them 30 minutes to get it from the back. It was blocked by a dead car.   Also, the recall I came for was not needed. But I had another recall on my vehicle. Terrible experience. I was told my car would take two days, was there for a week. I brought it in having just been detailed and looking like brand new as I was currently selling it. It came back to me the filthiest I have ever seen it. I was speechless to say the least. There was greasy hand prints on my light colored headliner, the carpet was filthy and stained. There was liquid spills on the interior. I found chip crumbs and a straw package on the floor. And the worst part was that my door was dinged which of course, they claim was not them. We spent quite a while in the service lane trying to clean the stains off my seats and interior surfaces. Thankfully I will never have to go here again. We eventually settled on a SX Prestige X Line thanks to Nestor listening to what we were looking for in an suv for our family! We don't have any service department experiences yet but once we do I'll update my review with how it goes! As far as sales we were pleasantly surprised with how quick we were able to make a deal and get out of there! It was maybe 2-3 hours in total from start to finish. They had plenty of inventory to choose from and we were able to actually see everything without having to wait or be pressured like we were at other dealerships to hurry up and make a deal on something we didn't really want in the end. As far as sales I would 100% recommend going to Camelback Kia and just ask for Nestor he'll make sure you get what you're looking for and do his best to get you the deal you're looking for! P.S. if you're his boss that drives the Hummer EV and you're reading this, let him take it for a spin! He deserves it after all of his hard work with our deal! read more

This review is for the service department. I previously had been coming here for several years. Mainly to maintain my car with the paint protection plan, as offered when I purchased the car through the dealership. Not sure what changes have taken place at this location, but it has gotten worse. My last experience here was one of inconvenience and irritation and I will not be returning. I needed to have my car fixed as it was still under warranty. The service department lacks communication, consideration and organization. I was only able to get things completed by repeatedly calling and asking to speak to the manager. I was never notified on updates on my car unless I myself called. I wasn't always able to reach the service department with the number provided and had to call multiple times. When purchasing a car again, I'll definitely take into consideration the service department. read more

Had an 1130am service appointment and showed up at 1120am today. Was told to wait in the lobby and someone would be with me shortly. Waited until 12pm and noone form the service department could be bothered to get off there computers to help me. The young lady who checked me in came by and asked if I had been helped and said she would go check in. Not sure what is more important than helping a in-person customer with an appointment. Terrible service from their "service" department. Wish I didn't buy my car from them. Nothing but a pain dealing with that team from the second I drove my car off that lot. BAD BUSINESS AT CAMELBACK KIA & HYUNDAI. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. Quick to sell you a car but slow to resolve THEIR mistakes! Update: Months after terrible customer service and poor management communication. I still have yet to receive my replacement plate that Camelback Kia said I would be getting for the returned trade-in. Camelback Kia and Hyundai have a management team full of liars. STEER CLEAR OF THESE DEALERSHIPS! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! BUYERS BEWARE. LOOK ELSEWHERE Update: A few complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau against Camelback Kia. I highly recommend any potential buyers read the complaints and see how poorly they handle their screw ups. This place is unethical!! My family got SCAMMED. Buying/selling under false pretense is wrong. We got a trade in offer in WRITING from them today, allowed them to run credit and drive hours for this deal. Spoke with a salesman and finance who both SAID they verified with the manager on shift for the overall approved price. We just needed to come and sign papers, vehicle was detailed and all- After driving for hours to pick it up, we find out they SCAMMED us and took off $4,000 of the amount they promised for a trade in. Basically, they promote that you can get in contact with sales and get approval and buy comfortably in your home, etc. DON'T do it. They scam you just to get you in the door and then hope you will cave and buy when they offer a fraction less. Needless to say, we walked. We kept asking them to make it right but they didn't care one bit. It took about 20 min just for the manager to even listen to my husband and he didn't care what he had to say at all. Would love to figure out who the managers boss is!! And going to look into BBB and file a complaint. I hope this isn't happening to other families; it was pretty dead in there and the salesman was blowing up my phone; I just thought they needed to make a sale; they do; but they will screw you to get their top dollar. read more
