Side mirror of the driver side

I recently brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and mentioned to staff that the driver-side mirror was loose. When I picked up my car, I was surprised and frustrated to find the mirror in significantly worse condition than before. It appeared more damaged, and someone had tied it with a string to keep it from falling off. I contacted the shop immediately to report the issue. Unfortunately, I was told that no one had documented the mirror's condition and that they could not take responsibility or offer any assistance. This response was disappointing, especially given that the condition of the mirror had clearly worsened while the vehicle was in their care. I understand that issues can happen, but accountability and professionalism matter. At a minimum, I would have expected transparency about the damage and a willingness to help resolve it. Instead, I was left with a more serious problem than when I arrived. Based on this experience, I would encourage others to carefully document their vehicle's condition before service and to consider whether this business meets their expectations for customer care.

Update: Lindsay Voss at Showcase Honda - Phoenix wants customers to have a good experience. Thank you for making this right. She remedied the key discrepancy by providing reimbursement for our cost of the 2nd key which significantly improved our view of this dealership as they do care about their customer's experience, especially if a mistake on their end was made. Thank you for reaching out rather than just ignoring and hoping a customer would go away! Updated 9/19/25 On 9/13/25 I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from Showcase Honda (1333 E. Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ) and the experience was disappointing. After negotiating what I thought was a slightly discounted price, I sat for over 2 1/2 hours only to discover at signing that the price hadn't changed at all from what I was quoted over the phone. By that point it was late, and I didn't have the patience to sit and argue over the $489 I was promised off--which, in hindsight, feels like that was their goal. It came across as misleading and dishonest. On top of that, what really made the purchase a bad experience was being told the vehicle came with two keys. After paying, I was handed only one and the sales representative, Aaron, brushed it off, claiming they weren't that expensive. Just an hour earlier he had warned me not to lose them because they were expensive. When I questioned it, he said they couldn't make me a key since they're a Honda dealership and I'd have to go to Nissan. I took him at his word, but when I went to Nissan, I paid $511 for a replacement--far more than his claim. That felt dishonest and left me feeling cheated. I even called the dealership the next day to speak with a manager and was told I'd get a call back, but no one ever followed up. In the end, between the missing discount and the extra cost of the key, I ended up paying about $1,000 more than what I was told I would. I wanted to have a good experience, but unfortunately, I did not.

We drove 40 miles home, the check engine light had been reset 24 miles before we picked up the car.

We were genuinely excited about the 2016 Honda Odyssey we purchased from this dealership--but the excitement quickly unraveled. Just 29 miles into driving, the check engine light came on. A diagnostic scan revealed four moderate fuel system codes (P0172, P0175, P2097, P2099), alongside shaking at highway speeds and while braking--indicators of serious preexisting mechanical and emissions issues. It became evident that the dealership had cleared the codes prior to delivery. When confronted, they gaslit us, claiming the vehicle "would never have been sold in that condition" and that it wouldn't have passed emissions--despite diagnostic evidence saying otherwise. They refused a return simply because payment had already been processed, forcing us to cancel funding ourselves through USAA. Adding to the disappointment, there was zero accountability. The used car sales manager and a salesman who wasn't even part of our transaction were rude, dismissive, and downright disrespectful when we tried to resolve the situation. Instead of empathy or professionalism, we received condescension and deflection. We loved this van. What hurts most isn't just the mechanical issues--it's the breach of trust and how quickly it was discarded. Until this dealership shows they're willing to stand behind what they sell and treat customers with respect, this review stands as a warning.

    NEW CAR

I bought my first car yesterday, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Kalvin Kite was amazing -- funny, charismatic, and genuinely helpful. I went in feeling pretty anxious, but he made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. By the end, I left with a huge smile on my face (and even my dad, who's usually pretty nonchalant, was impressed!). I highly recommend Kalvin to anyone looking to buy a car -- he truly made it a great experience from start to finish.

It's not everyday you buy $20,000+ car and have to get it towed a month later because the dealership is unable to find a solution

I've been trying to purchase a Tacoma from Camelback Toyota because I've had good experiences with the dealership in the past, including buying my Tundra there. My family has also purchased several other vehicles over the years, including Lexus models from other dealerships, so I'm very familiar with the car-buying process. Unfortunately, this experience has been extremely disappointing due to the way Mike, one of the managers, handled the situation. Initially, Ryan had quoted me $4,500 for a lift and tire package. Later, when I spoke with Mike, he changed the price to $4,875. When I asked why the price was different, he said it was because this was a different truck. I explained that the truck shouldn't matter because I was simply purchasing the same lift and tire package. I also asked whether I could keep my original tires if I purchased the package. Mike told me no and said the original tires had to stay unless I paid an additional $600. This confused me because when I purchased a lift and tires through the same dealership in the past, I was allowed to keep my original tires at no extra charge. I mentioned that I had already called other shops and found the same setup for about $1,000 less, but we were still considering doing the work at the dealership to help protect the truck's warranty. When I bought my Tundra, I was told that installing a lift outside the dealership could potentially affect warranty coverage, so we were trying to stay loyal to Camelback Toyota despite the higher price. Things became worse after I told the salesperson that I wanted to speak directly with Ryan again to better understand why the pricing and terms had suddenly changed. Shortly after that, Mike sent me what I felt was a very rude and unprofessional text message. In the text, he accused me of not taking "small steps" while claiming he was "going miles" for me. He repeatedly brought up the MSRP price of the truck and implied that I couldn't afford it. To be clear, I understood we were negotiating. The truck was listed around $55,000, and I was trying to get closer to $49,000. Ryan had previously mentioned he could potentially do around $52,200, so we were still working through numbers. Negotiation is normal in car buying, but the way Mike handled it was disrespectful and unnecessary. My wife had already left a review a few weeks ago because she also felt Mike was rude during an earlier interaction. We were actually ready to walk away at that point, but we decided to give the dealership another chance because of our previous positive experiences there and because we wanted to continue doing business with them. Unfortunately, this second experience only made things worse. What's most frustrating is the inconsistency between managers. One manager tells us one thing, while another changes the pricing and conditions completely. On top of that, I've tried asking to speak with the general manager so I can show the text messages, discuss the pricing discrepancies, and explain our concerns directly, but no one has provided me with contact information or helped escalate the issue. At the end of the day, buying a truck is a major purchase for our family. We simply wanted transparency, professionalism, and fair treatment. Instead, we were met with aggressive behavior, conflicting information, and disrespectful comments. Camelback Toyota has a large inventory and plenty of opportunities to earn loyal customers, which is why it's disappointing to see behavior like this from management. I truly hope the general manager sees this review, addresses the situation, and takes steps to improve how customers are treated moving forward.

It is now Tuesday, and they have not even looked at the car. Not diagnosed. Not tested. Not touched. I called four times between Saturday and Tuesday. Every single time I was told "someone is looking at it and will call you right back." They never called back. Not once. That's not a mistake that's a pattern of lying to customers. On Monday, I physically went into the dealership because phone calls were clearly useless. I was told they would replace the EVAP purge valve and run an EVAP test. As of today, the car still hasn't moved. Zero work done. Meanwhile, I've spent more money on a rental car in six days than it would have cost to take this vehicle to a competent independent shop and fix the problem outright. The only difference? I made the mistake of trusting a Ford warranty. They are happy to sell you a warranty for $3k, $5k, or $10k, but once your car is in their possession, there is zero urgency, zero communication, and zero accountability. It genuinely feels like they think that because the repair is under warranty, your time doesn't matter. For anyone reading this: you can cancel your Ford warranty at any time and get your money back. I will be canceling mine immediately. This level of service is pathetic, and the way customers are treated is unacceptable. Avoid this service department unless you enjoy being ignored, lied to, and paying out of pocket for rentals while your car sits untouched.

I was ready to buy and already had a deal in hand from another dealership: 2026 WRX Limited at $650/month, no add-ons, GAP included, and a strong trade-in offer. Bri reached out and told me they could beat it, even quoting $637/month. Ray (manager) followed up and assured me they would put together a better deal if I came in. That's what got me through the door. Once I arrived, the entire tone changed. My trade-in value suddenly dropped, GAP pricing was inflated, and no clear numbers were presented upfront. I even switched to a lower-priced WRX Premium expecting better numbers--but somehow ended up being quoted $675/month on a cheaper car than the Limited I already had lined up elsewhere. At that point, it was clear the initial promises were just to get me in. I don't mind negotiating, but I do expect consistency and transparency. This felt like a complete bait-and-switch. I'll be purchasing a WRX elsewhere--and honestly, I'll probably take my service business somewhere else too. Update: I ended up purchasing my WRX from Peoria Subaru. It was a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it. The deal was seamless, fair, and fast--no games. I secured a Limited WRX for $39,730.30 OTD Price, and the overall experience was significantly more professional. They also offer a 2-tire replacement program as long as you service your vehicle with them. If you're serious about buying, I'd recommend skipping Camelback Subaru and taking the drive to Peoria instead.

Then came the advertised rebates and financing offers that apparently could not actually be combined once we sat down to discuss the deal. That immediately felt like bait-and-switch tactics. The dealership also tried adding nearly $2,000 in "mandatory" extras I never asked for, including: $100 for nitrogen in the tires Around $500 for a "KeyFetch" key replacement program Window tint and other add-ons When I questioned these charges, I was basically told, "This is what we do when we sell vehicles." Customers should not be forced into paying for unnecessary add-ons just to buy a vehicle. The financing process was even worse. Salesman Joe, the GM, and finance manager Ryan told me 5.75% through Global was the "best rate available." After checking myself, I found out customers can apply directly online and get 5.5%. Same story with GAP insurance: they attempted to charge around $1,000, but Global itself offers it for about $495. At that point it became obvious I needed to fact-check everything myself. All I wanted was a clean purchase agreement with: Advertised price Tax Title Registration Standard doc fee No forced extras. No inflated products. No games.
