Things to note: they offer free estimates, but if you need troubleshooting like we did, the current rate is $200 the first hour and $100 per additional hour needed. If it's a simple fix like ours, you pay the troubleshooting cost plus any materials used. They were able to replace our breaker for us the same day as the scheduled diagnostic which was a great peace of mind for us. For more involved repairs, they provide an estimate before you give the okay to move forward. Their prices are more than fair for our area. So already major points for responding promptly! My project was installing a ceiling fan on vaulted ceilings. I think I contacted them through their website contact form and got an email response directly me to call them to schedule a time for the estimator Nate. The women at the office were very helpful and able to help me easily. Nate arrived bright and early at 8am. He was very thorough in discussing possible options with me. He even went up into the attic. When I mentioned we recently moved in and am not very familiar with the house yet he was incredibly helpful asking if I have any additional electrician questions! That's really going above and beyond! Value wise they are very competitive! The other quote I got was $500 and $700 depending on if there was an existing fan that's simply replaced or an all new install. Vine beat both of those quotes and even have a 5% off summer promo of the estimate if approved same day. I called back with a request to change some details on the installation. The office was able to get the message to Nate and he called me back within the hour. We finalized the quote and work was scheduled early the next week! Lindoro came to do the installation. Service Requested - some outlets out, some half hot, some OK. Diagnose why…read more Quality- perfect. In and out in a few hours, parts on hand. Value- excellent. With knowledge and parts on hand, no extra time was needed to diagnose and fix the problem. Found these folks through Yelp and it worked out perfectly. Filled out my problem with the electrical and scheduled a time to come out and explore it. I received a text that the tech was in Vacaville and was coming to Davis so that was helpful. There was a window of time in which they'd show up and sure enough it was within that timeframe. He checked the panels and outlets at first. There are so many outlets though. More than you'd think. Discovered some outlets that I'd never used before! One of the outlets across from the kitchen *the most obvious of locations* was one of the last ones he checked. Turns out, that was it. The wiring behind the plug had been deteriorating for some time. So after replacing it, a new panel mount was installed and magically the rest of the outlets worked in the house. He was concerned that the piece was an old style that might not be made any more, and he didn't know any stores in the area that would carry a part like that. There was a place in the Bay Area but we told him that was too far to drive and urged him to just hire an electrician. The problem is, we didn't know if it was the circuit breaker, the GFCI breaker, or something totally different. In-laws were also concerned an electrician would charge an arm and a leg for the repairs, and they were on a fixed income with a tight budget. I decided to come on Yelp for help.
