This place has been our go to every year for the past 5+ years. It's peaceful and the scenery is beautiful! The owners have been extremely kind to us every time. The owner has beens especially nice to my step son and that speaks volumes to me. We will continue to come back here and make memories for years to come.

Country Bumpkins is an amazing place! As someone who camps often, I am blown away by the amenities their campground offers. There are reasonably priced cabins, RV sites and tent sites. The bathhouse is clean and has the best water pressure and hot water I have ever experienced. There is a playground, game room, waterfalls and river access. What more could you need? Diane and Mario are so kind and take such good care of their property! I'm sorry to see the negative reviews posted, as I know, they are not deserved. By keeping watch over the property, they ensure that only campers who are supposed to be here, are here. I know I am safe camping here as a single woman travelling alone and that my belongings are secure because the campground is secure. I am so thrilled that Country Bumpkins has quiet hours as well. It is a smaller campground and noise travels at night. I have been at other locations where fellow campers have stayed up all night drinking and blasting music or even watching t.v. outside!? Personally I go camping to escape all the noise and having the campground adhere to nighttime quiet hours is a blessing....especially if you are camping with your children. If you are looking to camp in Lincoln or Woodstock this is the place! Book it now! You won't regret it!

My wife and some friends spent a few nights here last month and loved this place. We had some sights right on the river and had a fantastic weekend. The prices are very reasonable. They offer bathrooms and showers, a small store and a small dish wash station. This campground is very small but it's great. It's very close to local trails, restaurants, stores and tourist attractions. The bathrooms were pretty clean, the stalls suck tho when your on the toilet there is a door right in your face It's very tight that's really my only complaint about this campground. We will definitely be back here and I would recommend this campground to others.

We are middle-aged RVers with a teen daughter and two adult sons who occasionally will join us when we camp and we all absolutely love this place! We're back for the fourth year in a row and plan to return as long as we're campers. Very clean bath house (though the stalls are a little cramped) and a little laundry facility on site. Country Bumpkin is conveniently located: walking distance to Clark's Trading Post and just a short drive to Loon Mountain and the Kankamagus Highway. There's so much to do nearby and our hosts, Diane and Mario, have always been welcoming and accommodating. I like that the campground rules are enforced as it makes for a relaxing getaway for families. If your plan is to party into the wee hours, this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for a scenic campground where you can sit and listen to the river trickle by while enjoying a cocktail or two, definitely book a stay here.

    S'more time.

First I was looking for a camping close to the trails without lots of people. I decided country bumpkins because the reviews and the name. Cute name! Once I got here I was afraid to be very close to the street. I was wrong. Once we did the check in with Amy, on of the nicest person I met, we move to our site. OMG this is amazing!!! We are at the river, close to a little waterfall. We had one of the best night of sleep ever! The water in the shower is awesome, makes you stay a little longer. They have wifi, each I'm using right now to place this review. Gotta go take a nap... The sounds around are very relaxing!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday weekend in September 2020 with our dogs in our tent. We LOVED it! The owners were friendly and personable, and everything was so clean!! We had a site right by the creek and it was just so peaceful. The bathrooms were heated, hot water shower, and SO CLEAN! They have free WiFi which is great, but we believe the whole point of camping is to cut off the rest of the world for a time and just enjoy nature and what it has to offer, and this is the perfect place to do it! The location is very central to so many things! We hiked Mount Lafayette and Mount Lincoln while we were there. We found a cute breakfast place for coffee and bagels, and the little Main Street area had a couple of cute stores and some restaurants. It's the perfect place for a relaxing weekend and even better that you can bring your dogs!! We can't wait to go back!

Watching people put paddleboards on the water too definitely seems like fun too! The location is great for easy access to the hikes up Osceola and Tecumseh. Waterville Valley and Lincoln are both very close as well so there has been plenty of things for us to do and places to explore. We've made advanced reservations but also had luck with grabbing a first come first serve site by heading up on a Friday morning. But usually the campground is pretty busy so we wouldn't chance getting a first come first serve spot if we were coming in on a Saturday. Even though it can be busy, most groups are pretty good about keeping noise down after dark but its not uncommon to wake up a few times overnight or super early in the morning from a car door slamming or a car beeping. The A sites are pretty remote and much quieter than the other sites. Lately, we've been more enamored by the D sites due to their central location. We were disappointed at our most recent visit that most of the toilets were out of order and that there was only 1 working shower in the entire campground. Hopefully they'll fix this soon since it is a really nice option to have while camping.

Unforgettable experience....as usual! First off, we have been patronizing this campground several…read moretimes a year since the new owners (John and Lisa) took it over a few years ago and made countless upgrades and additions to make this campground one of the best in NH. We stayed here for our usual (3) nights in late August 2023 at our usual (brook front) site (no I won't say the site number... its ours LOL) with my wifey and our "son" (dog). I am constantly amazed how dog friendly this place is. Most notably the welcome he receives upon check-in and the obvious love of animals from the staff. Most notable, this past trip a male employee (maintenance) I believe (sorry I don't recall your name) went above and beyond by showing our dog so much love, making it a point to stop and say hello to him in passing and even bring him his own bag of dog treats on our last night (which he devoured before we got home). The campground has (3) amazing dog (ambassadors) which make the stay even more enjoyable. First there is Lacey, a quiet yet reserved doggo with an obvious sense of class and sophistication. Then there is Tyson and energetic lab who will be your best friend if he sees you with a ball. Last but not least there is Rocky the rottweiler who has been the "framed" by some bad reviews as intimidating (LOOOL) he is an amazing, well trained, kind, asset to this campground and it is your loss if you find him to "Intimidating" to say hello to as he is passing by sitting shotgun on the chrome wheeled chariot (golfcart) that he frequently "patrols" the campground in. Most notable in some negative reviews this campground has rules! and has security! for a reason! The rules are simple (DRIVE 5 MPH!) It's common sense! You wouldn't speed through a school zone so why a campground with countless kids and animals! And yes, if you speed you may get told to "slow down" please don't take offense to this like your being personally attacked. It's the employees and owners taking a stand to ensure their guests are safe! The second rule is "Quiet ours are 10pm to 8am". If you are making excessive noise during this time, yes, you most likely will be spoken to by security. Again, don't take offense to this "outrageous" rule. This campground is surrounded by (2) beautiful brooks and the last thing that needs to be heard is excessive noise in such a great location. We can honestly say in the several years we have been coming here we have never had a noise issue. However, if you do have an issue there is a convenient phone number you can text where your issue will be addressed promptly. Everyone here is either guests or friends which shows by the extent the owners (John and Lisa) go to ensure you are having a great time. The few negative reviews I have seen are mostly because you didn't give them a chance to go the extra mile for you, or were just plain rude or entitled. We have personally seen the owners and staff go the extra mile multiple times! As far as the campground itself its situated in the heart of the white mountains close to many major attractions (Clarks Trading Post, Kancamagus Highway, Storyland, Santas Village, Flume Gorge, Polar Caves, Lost River Gorge) to name a few. This campground is wooded! Yes, there are no wide open spaces it's a wooded campground in the heart of NH and there are trees, winding roads and each site is unique. The owners made it simple to plan your visit by having posted photos of many sites online as well as provide information while booking explaining what the features are to each site and what type of equipment it can accommodate. There are rustic (primitive) sites, full hookups (water, elec, sewer) as well as gorgeous "Glamping" cabins and more rustic simple wooded cabins! The (3) restroom/bathhouses are always clean and welcoming. The onsite laundry room served us well after we were ill prepared during a NH summer downpour! During the day (especially weekends) there are activities such as games (Human bumper ball!!!) as well as "Fairy walks!" Ice cream socials, arts and crafts and our personal favorite the "dance parties!" featuring the fairy lights (see attached photos) during the evening the area around the bridge is lit up by countless laser lights which reflect off the trees to create a truly unique experience. Each time we arrive our site has been immaculate and ready for us which is another kudos to the amazing staff. After writing this review, I feel like I have not touched the surface of topics I could talk about regarding this campground. We will continue to patronize this campground and consider it "our campground" and our "home away from home!". 10.5 out of 5 stars! -Lavoie family!

The bathrooms are old and dirty, with walls and doors that clearly need to be scrubbed of built-up grime and feces. The showers are quarter-operated, but unreliable and some without temperature control. The amenities listed online are also misleading. The "playground" is really just a small baby jungle gym, and the area that should be a playground is a complete waste of space. Across the street, they have a so-called swimming beach but it is nothing more than a mosquito-filled pond with a sunken paddle boat. The train is nice and freshly painted, but the swing set is in terrible shape and really needs to be removed before someone gets hurt. The water wheel advertised on the website doesn't work and doesn't look like it has in quite some time. On top of that, there's no WiFi service. With some updates and proper upkeep, this place could be wonderful--but as it stands, it's disappointing compared to what's advertised.

The best advice I could offer is to take a backpack with snacks, another jacket just in case (although i layered up), pack rain pants to help keep me warm in the rain, and shoes with good traction. And plenty of water. Beanies may also be a good option to keep your head warm from the cold. And a portable battery. Also, if you haven't traveled with a car like me..then the Shuttle Connection is a life saver to travel in town. Way cheaper than Uber and fairly quick to transport you wherever you want to go. Also for travelers go back and forth to other states travel by bus is the perfect and most affordable way to travel. This trail offered amazing views, great photo ops, and plenty of additional trails to explore. They also make sure to keep everything maintained and safe for hikers exploring. Everything is well labeled and easy to follow. They do say and I can attest- travelers who have difficulty walking or have walkers etc..this may not be an ideal trail. Also, for younger children this may not be an kdela hike because of how extensive the elevation is. You are climbing a mountain and waterfall elevation. Make sure to look up details on their trail before you plan a trip. But well worth the hike :)

I do not recommend any "Moose Tours" with Lucie. We drove 3 hours to meet her and she was an hour…read morelate to the meeting point(no cell service to contact her), completely unprepared for us as she "pulled the wrong file" "what did I tell you we were doing" We basically drove up and down route 26 for 6 hours looking for moose on the side of the highway. She stopped to asked the locals where to find moose and spoke endlessly about the types of trees in NH. No moose were spotted at all even after a desperate mosquito infested walk through the woods (yes, we had bug spray but it didn't make a difference). We were told "plan B" was to drive up and down the same highway at midnight to see if the moose were out. This was a surprise for my husbands birthday, It was a surprise for both of us! This was a complete waste of time and money.

What a great experience we had and most of all a beautiful day with a great guide! I booked a one…read moreday trip kayaking for Lisa and I and it couldn't have went any better. Lucy met us in the morning and we went straight to the river. It was such a gorgeous and enjoyable ride and she was so pleasant and relaxed the whole way through. She gave us some simple tips on kayaking and also some nice information on some of the wildlife and history of the area. When we reached Lake Ossipee the wind was very strong which made the lake very choppy and her lead was so assuring in the challenge that lay ahead of us - she was awesome and we made it to the other side of the lake without any issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend Lucy if you want to experience a great day outdoors in the White Mountains
