Unfortunately once a restaurant starts doing silly things to Nickle and dime it's customers and save money by dramatically changing the quality of the food it's all downhill from there. Customers need to really look into other restaurants in the area not treating you fools. The quality has dramatically gone downhill. I had gotten a burrito that was made with disgusting ready made soggy old fried chicken, did not include typical fixings like other restaurants too, the French toast is made with the cheapest slices of thin white toast which was tasteless, the fresh orange juice that was around $8 was filled with ice cubes refused to make without ice cubes, watered down like crazy and the place refused to provide tap water - only bottled which should have been a red flag from the start. Honestly this place was horrendous, quality was terrible, food was expensive, super cheap insulting business practices to their customers. Really should be ashamed but that's alright because I'm never going again. Rather spend my money at a local restaurant that actually has some self respect for what they offer. read more

I've been coming to Country Dream for years now as I have a few friends who live right nearby, and used to live in the area as well. Sadly, every time I've been back (a couple times a year - although the cell signal isn't that great so not so many check-ins, haha), it seems to have taken a step in the wrong direction. They used to be a little slow on the service and occasionally get an order wrong, but the food was delicious and filling so it wasn't something I was particularly bothered by, but they seem to have lost it entirely now. Came here with a table of 6 friends, and we were sat nearly immediately, which was nice, but after taking our drinks order it was over 15mins later to drop off coffee and orange juice, which was missing a few items that didn't show up for another 5-10 minutes later. When our breakfast orders finally showed up (~30-45mins after ordering), 3 out of the 6 were wrong, and one was entirely missing. I was the lucky one whom they had forgot to cook, and got to wait another 5-10 minutes for mine to show up. I got the french toast special, which consisted of 2 slices of Wonder-size white bread (not the thicker 'texas toast' style), some scrambled eggs, and about 1 ounce of bacon spread across 3 tiny pieces. At least it was nice and crispy. The whole meal was quite tasty, but there was so little of it I had to stop on the way to our next place and grab a snack. The coffee was another issue here, I started with a cup of decaf which tasted like water, but a lot of diners' decaf sucks, so I just chalked it up to that and asked for a regular coffee at the next refill... which was the complete opposite. It was the most bitter coffee I'd ever tasted. I really hate to be going on about all of this, but I don't even know how you'd make coffee that bitter? Let it steep like tea for an hour? Let it sit out for a couple days? Who knows. When we were all done, we got the check, and although the waitstaff was feigning a combination of ignorance and suggesting we had ordered what they delivered to our table (which we just accepted as we were so hungry), everything we wanted was written on the check in the order the waitress had originally asked us around the table. It was a serious wtf moment. Extra star added because they have a legacy of great food, hopefully they can find that again and get back to their original glory. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted a place to eat after a morning of hiking! He recommended this place as he hasn't been in awhile (he lives in the area). we went on a Saturday around 11am. We were seated immediately. But, to my disappointment the tables are so close to others that I barely could squeeze in my seat as the guy behind me was also squished. After a frosty night camping, this little wooden gem was truly a country dream. It has all quaint charm of a local eatery including warm servers that call you "hun." We woke up famished and the menu didn't disappoint. All your basics: eggs, omelets, bacon, home fries, pancakes... The veggie omelet was chock full of broccoli, peppers, onions, spinach, and tomatoes. I threw in a little chedda cause it just makes things betta. He went with the greek omlete (also delicious). We topped off the meal with mixed berry pancakes officially sending us into a blissful food coma. A must if you find yourself in the area. read more

I'm sorry but when you're still writing receipts in pen and that's totally fine with me if it's good for this restaurant don't be rude just because I couldn't understand what she wrote on the receipt and asked for clarification.. you cant treat costumers in a disrespectful manner in my eyes when that costumer is coming to spend his good money. This quaint place you find on the side of the road. It doesn't look like much at all! You walk in and see mismatched chairs and tables but don't let the looks deceive you. The service is excellent the staff is nice and attentive. The Spanish food is very good as well is the American dishes. It's a fair helping that you leave satisfied. Even when I walked in close to closing they still let me sit and cooked a nice meal. They didn't hurry me along or be upset that they would be closing late. Bright and early on a Saturday for breakfast before hitting Wright Family farm. During covid-19 pandemic we chose to sit outside in the tented area instead of indoors. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive with smiles. The food was served quickly. Everything was well made, hot and delish. Hearty & belly filling. Prices were reasonable. This review is solely based on today's experience. My bf and I have been to country Dream a handful of times and every visit was excellent. The service is always attentive, the food was always great. Unfortunately, today's visit wasn't what we usually expected. We ordered chili cheese nachos for $6 and there was maybe half a plate served to us (about 10-12 chips). This was disappointing especially considering the price paid for it. My bf also ordered chimichangas because he's loved them before but today it had an almost old taste to it. I did order the fried chicken basket which was excellent. If the owners are reading this, please be a little more generous with your servings. $6 is quite much for 10 tortilla chips and a scoop of chili. We will still be visiting but we were just disappointed in the quality of today's meal. read more

This place is good for basic breakfasts: pancakes, omelettes, biscuits, etc. once tried the eggs Benedict and it didn't have much flavor but basics are good. The MAJOR downside to this place is the waitstaff. We have gone a couple of times and each time the waitresses were rude. They act as though they are doing you a huge favor by taking orders and bringing you food. Also it's cash only which is annoying. Nice local place, situated right off of the main road through town. The only reason this place is getting three stars and not four is because of the drinking water. We're not from the area, but we've been coming up here to visit friends and stay with family, and we've never tasted water like that. It tasted as if it were sitting in the system for a while, and we had the taste in our mouths long after we left. Regardless, the menu had a good mix of American-style home cooking and Mexican (interesting combination). The menu is very reasonable in terms of the pricing per portion sizing (which was good). Also, the best part of the experience was our waitress - who was very knowledgeable about the area and other local places to visit. I would stop in again for a sandwich or something small. read more

I never thought I would enjoy fish for breakfast. This place was really fantastic. I have family that lives up here and they took us out to Country Dream. As we sat down, they told us of this plate they served that had fried fish to go along with your eggs. I was kind of skeptical but I figured I would give it a chance. I am glad I took that chance...it was fantastic. I definitely plan on requesting a repeat trip next time I visit. read more

This place is best for breakfast as opposed to lunch. They also do dinner thurs (turkey and pork) friday (fish, meatloaf, and pasta, not so good) and Sat (Roast Beef and Ham, my FAV!) It's not tiny but on Sunday and Sat expect a bit of a wait for breakfast. read more

Went for apple picking today and wine tasting at Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery had a great time there then we got a little hungry decided to go to the Crystal Inn but that was closed and it opens at 4 so we decided to try country dream a Little Restaurant in Warwick the place was very cozy warm and very friendly the service was five stars the food was absolutely excellent my girlfriend had quesadilla with beans I had the turkey open hot sandwich which was cooked perfectly I would definitely try this restaurant again it's run by very nice people who know what they're doing and know how to give hospitality read more

I just left this establishment and I can honestly say this was the absolute worst meal. There was not a single other customer when we arrived at 5 pm. My husband and I both ordered ribeye steak mine rare his med rare. (Three other patrons show up to dine now.)They both came out over cooked and ny strip not ribeyes see my picture. When I showed server the doneness and wanted to send back and order a different entrée my husband trying to be nice said we would bring that steak home eventhough the steak was beyond edible. This should have been my que to just leave but I was starving so I ordered chicken scampi. My husband finished his meal. The table with 2 people get their food and finish eating. Still waiting on me replacement meal. The 1 person table gets food. I ask for my food to be put in a to go container after waiting another 15 minutes. Mind you I was very nice and did not get upset with server but wen I saw that the bill was $70 I asked if they would give me at least half off my steak because of the cook on it and I never took a bite. They refused and when I handed them my card they don't take plastic only cash. I will never go back. I get home open up the chicken scampi and I don't know what thus is but not scampi. Doesn't look like doesn't taste like scampi. Very bland chicken and veggies in some kind of cream sauce over pasta. Loved every piece of my meal. I had Eggs Benedict Corned Beef Hash, Home Fries, and coffee. All was perfect. My wife had Pancakes she said were fantastic. The kids had French toast, bacon, sausage and I've tried all of it. I could have stayed all day and would have enjoyed every bite of this fine tasting food. Love it, and highly recommend it! Serving Mexican food as well as American. It's like eating in someone's house or kitchen. I don't think that there are two tables that match. Most are older dining room or kitchen tables. Most of the chairs match at each table but that's as far as I'll go with that. All of this adds to a unique charm to the place The restaurant is in a very old building that would be interesting to research. Breakfast was good, not spectacular. Service was friendly and prompt. I actually came here from word of mouth from a local farmer. I wanted to see the place first but they run specials each week that I really want to try. Every Thursday is roast turkey with all the trimmings that my friend says is great. Every Friday is a fish menu and it escapes me what Wednesday served up but I'll find out. Menu choices look good and I'm going to have to try the Mexican food as it is run by a Mexican family and she kept telling me that her food was fresh every day and good. read more

As a lifelong resident of the OC I'm always looking for new places in my own backyard. I stumbled across this place this morning w a Simple yelp search of "breakfast" in "Warwick "! Somehow it lead me to Pine Island and there, on a Country Road is "Country Dream". The place is a throw back to a time when things were more simple. It feels like home, in a sense, walking through the doors to see exposed beams, and country decor that..... well(?) ... it will make some cringe. But, it will make many smile as it did to me. The place demonstrates that you don't need to be pretentious to demonstrate good hospitality. The furniture is a mix of everything; no two tables were alike. While the place was open, full of customers during the morning rush, it still felt warm. The staff works as a team it seemed. Several came to the table to recommend a special, offer coffee, etc. As usual, I ordered the pants off the menu. Eggs and toast, a peach pancake, sausage, eggs Benedict, and the western quiche special. All in all, the breakfast was solid and as good as any diner, but a hint more authentic. My only two quirks were that the sausages didn't have a great taste. They were fresh and such, but It's probably just their providers recipe. The hollandaise sauce was a mix; par for the course these days, and hard to complain considering their very affordable prices. With a coffee and juice added to the aforementioned, it was $31. Can't beat it. The waitress who dropped the check told me she worked their for 25 years and knew the original and now deceased owner. She was proud to work there and for me, that says a lot about the history and culture of this place. I will be back. read more

Small on the outside but large on the inside nice old historic building. I took the advice of another Yelp user and tried out the eggs benedict which I have never had in my life and a side of corn beef hash and it was amazing. Coffees good too. Pretty much all in my party were happy with their meals. Foods good, prices are good, staff is super nice. Definitely a good breakfast goto spot. Seating is a bit uncomfortable since its all a hodgepodge of old furniture but it suits the feel of the building which is cool. read more

We went through Warwick looking for a place to eat and we googled this place. The photo of the restaurant sold me on it as well as it's Mexian dishes. We were not disappointed. Quiet, secluded location, great staff and the Mexian food was awesome. There were a few locals eating there who advised us to come back for the breakfasts as well as the daily specials. stopped in for lunch today with a friend. We both like the space and ambiance very much. The staff is friendly. But those two things are not enough to have me return. The food was literally dreadful, sickening in fact. I had Mexican Eggs Benedict with hash browns& coffee. The hollandaise sauce was unrecognizable, the potatoes were fried in old stale oil that imparted a rancid taste. The coffee tasted like stale brown dish water. I'll eat my hat if that coffee was fresh. ,,, a hat would taste better. My friend had an underwhelming chicken salad sandwich on stale bread. Grrr! I HATE eating bad food!!! The restaurant was pretty empty, I wonder why they cannot figure out that bad food equals no customers. I do wish them luck to get their act together, it's a cute place. read more

This place has in-door and outdoor dinning. The restaurant decoration had a country feel. It's family-friendly. The wait staff was really good. They were attentive. When we got there there was just just two big families in the main dining room and two other parties eating outside. When we chose the restaurant the menu stated it had American food but when we were at the restaurant the menu was confusing. It had more Mexican food than American. We order burgers thinking it was a safe option. We were charged $3 extra dollars for fresh beef patties. The patty was about 6oz and I am being generous. It was served in a Kaiser Roll instead of a burger bun. My burger was no where near a medium it was well done. The beef tasted sour. My sister had a country chicken sandwich and except for the sandwich bun it look like the chicken patties you get in School lunches. It wasn't a cheap lunch it was as expensive as a lunch in the city (Manhattan). It was truly disappointing. They really need to figure out their identity. read more
