This is what you view when you pull into your site.

Questionable right from the moment we arrived. Winding around thru the streets, up and down hills, to an office for check in, with no one there to do so. One of the caretakers (very nice and wanting to help as much as he can)questioned if we had reservations. YES! He didn't know how to check us in, and seemed confused about us even showing up. So, he guides us, without any paperwork or receipt, nothing, to a site (TIGHT) surrounded by live ins. What a DUMP, we concluded. We will NOT be using any of the facilities, nor do we feel safe even walking our dog. This is one night too long here. Being directed to our site we observed what appeared to be a graveyard for RV's. This is an RV, plus tow truck, storage facility also. Not much of a first impression, and we are paying $48.00 for THIS! WHO writes these glowing reviews? Friends and family members of the owner? Be advised, you cannot maneuver about this place with a large RV.

Country Hills RV Front Entry Gate... Looks Secure (But not really)

According to "Parks and Campgrounds. com," there are 30 "Campgrounds and RV Parks" in the "Inland Empire" area. Most of these facilities are centered around one Vacation Destination, Activity, Attraction or another. (i/e: the Local Deserts, Mountain Resorts, Fishing Lakes, or Indian Gambling Casinos.) "COUNTRY HILLS RV PARK" IS NOT ONE OF THESE TYPES OF "VACATION" DESTINATIONS.. LONG TERM "RESIDENT/TENNANT" RV PARKS; Located in the slightly rolling hills on the outskirts of Beaumont, California; "COUNTRY HILLS RV PARK" is predominantly a "Long Term" Resident "RV Park" for "Working Class/Fixed Income Retired" people who live full time in their RVs. Many of the Park's Residents have lived at "Country Hills" for multiple years. NO VACANCY... It is not uncommon for "Country Hills RV" to have very few vacant, open/available spaces for rent. They have become one of the Beaumont/Banning Areas Best Choices for "Long Term RV Residency," offering both reasonable monthly rates and levels of park amenities. TYPES OF RV SITES; As it is the "Country Hills" has about 70 RV Sites; Most "Back Your Trailer" in style RV Sites and a hand full of very popular "Pull Thru" RV Sites... which will handle RVs and Trailers of just about any reasonable length. "Country Hills RV" provides that "Slightly Larger RV Site" that is often perfect for parking 2 Vehicles (Pickup Truck & Car) and still have room for outdoor tables, BBQs and Chairs. (Always a Good Thing.) BUT YOU WILL WANT TO CALL AHEAD TO CHECK ON SPACE AVAILABILITY.. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT "COUNTRY HILLS RV PARK" has improved dramatically over the past year (2014/2015). Before such time "Country Hills" Suffered with several very problematic managers. Presently the "Management Team" provides friendly, helpful Customer Service without many of the "Stupid Rules & Unreasonable Regulations" "Country Hills RV" had become well known for with past Managers. AS SUCH, "COUNTRY HILLS" is a much better RV Park for all involved. AS STATED; CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOW VERY GOOD... But can been slow to return phone calls. (Leave a message; they do return phone calls). "COUNTRY HILLS RV PARK" FACILITIES are all pretty much 30 Plus Years Old; as such somewhat outdated, but kept clean and increasingly, in good repair. POOL & SPA... "Country Hills" Pool & Jacuzzi Spa are both older, but always kept clean, well filtered and chlorinated. THERE ARE NO LIFE GUARDS ON DUTY. The pool is not heated (but gets comfortably warm in the summer), while the Jacuzzi is kept comfortably heated year round. WATER QUALITY... "Country Hills RV Park" provides exceptional quality water from their own dedicated wells and storage tanks. Water Pressure is good. We use a high quality water filter on our supply lines. This is probably not needed, as the supplied water is typically of "Bottled Water Quality." RESTROOMS, SHOWERS, LAUNDRY ROOM & CLUBHOUSE are cleaned daily and kept freshly painted... But could use a full remodel. The Showers are "Coin Operated," and as such frustrating, but have plenty of warm/hot water. There is NO HEAT IN THE RESTROOMS... and they do get cold in the winter. ELECTRICAL METERS are an ongoing issue at "Country Hills RV." A few of the RV Sites have new electrical pedestals, but most have 30 plus year old posts with rebuilt/refurbished digital style meters... with some of the meters literally "Falling Off" the Pedestals (as in the one shown in my photos.) THE ABSOLUTE WORST INTERNET WIRELESS SERVICE in the world... "Country Hills RV Park" provides "Free Wireless Internet" Services that are just about useless (And they are proud of it!) Their internet is "UP" one moment, and "DOWN" the next. The "Country Hills Internet Log In Screen" will frequently spam your browser with "Country Hills RV Park" Banner Pages you never requested... and is constantly "re-buffering." "COUNTRY HILLS" MANAGEMENT ACT LIKE THEY DON'T KNOW Their "Wireless Service" is just about worthless (and slow, slow, slow). BUT NO WORRIES! THE PARK MANAGEMENT WILL GIVE YOU THEIR 24 HOUR SERVICE PROVIDER'S PHONE NUMBER! (As if the Service Provider "Could Give a Rip")! THE WIND & FLIES... you may want to consider that the wind can blow very hard in Beaumont/Banning Pass area "Country Hills RV Park" is located in; 60-MPH WIND GUSTS ARE FAIRLY COMMON. As are ants and fly problems depending on the time of year. THEFT PROBLEMS... we have had NO THEFT PROBLEMS in the 2-1/2 plus years we have had our RV at "Country Hills." It seems the neighbors all watch out for each other... and have had no major issues to speak of. We are not aware of any other residents who have had any problems either. OUR YELP RATINGS; "Country Hills RV Park" (Our Opinion 5/15) "Country Hills RV Park" Facilities; 3-STARS "Country Hills" Wireless Internet Service; SUCKS EGGS .. 0-STARS Value for What is Charged/Provided; 3-1/2 STARS Customer Service (Current Management Team); 4-STARS OVER ALL YELP RATING ; 3.75-STARS Almost 4-STARS

We came to Country Hills RV Park as weekenders. We arrived on Friday afternoon, left late Sunday morning. We were pleasantly surprised to find Country Hills nicer that what the pictures on the web site had visioned. "Rustic" best describes the feel of this campground located in a canyon with wilderness areas to the south. Some of the roads are gravel and the paved roads could use some repair. Lots of mature trees interspersed amongst the camp sites. We camped in site #67, a pull through site. We had plenty of room; we didn't feel we were on top of our neighbors. The staff was helpful, pulling into the site and setting up camp went well. The neighbors were nice, the campground was quiet and peaceful. Mostly extended stay campers and full time residents in the park. PROS: Lots of trees in the campsites and loops. Utilities worked well. Camp sites are larger than average for a private park. Nice pool area. Friendly neighbors. Generally quiet and peaceful. CONS: No curfew was enforced, next door neighbors partied past midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. Due to the age of the park maneuvering with larger rigs is more difficult. Had to back our 35' fifth wheel out the the pull through site; sites were perpendicular not slanted in relation to the egress road. Wi-fi connected, but could not access Google and pull email. Work around was a smart phone. No trash pick up at site nor trash cans on camping loop. Must haul to a centralized dumpster farm. In summary, although Beaumont is not our typical destination, we would recommend a weekend stay at Country Hills RV Park if you desire to stay in the area. Like many parks, best maneuvered during daylight hours.

Quickly the tone of her voice changed and when I asked why only citizens she said that's a rule set by the owners and proceeded to give me the phone number to the Cherry Valley park. I asked if I came in to reserve as a paring my own nights costumer would I be able to reserve, she said No. I have an accent, was that reason? I don't know but talk about discrimination. It has a pathetic "lake" that is 3 feet deep. It has a disgusting main shared room that is nothing more than a few folding tables with papers taped to them, and some old disgusting couches and chairs. It has a dirty microwave and a coffee maker. But the real issue is that Colorado river adventures is a scam. They claim that you get a one time pass at this amazing "deal" of booking a timeshare with their company. As of today's date a "package" ranges between 9 and 11k with a 500 a year matinenece fee. They claim you can use all this stuff and book all these international and coast to cost things but again its all a scam. When you book they offer you all sorts of free stuff - but it all has strings attached. The gift of the gas card can only be used if you buy in 50 dollar increments 60 dollars apart and they may or may not give you the rebate based on if you qualify st that time. Its not guaranteed. The tablet is a joke. My kid got bored with it in a matter of minutes. It loses charge in 30 minutes and has no capabilities. It also feels like a toy you'd buy on ali express for 8 dollars. But hey its free so whatever. I was promised a 20 night stay and was told I won a contest and if I wanted I could also tour their other locations incase I was interested. They booked me at cherry valley because it was closest to me. I double checked because I didn't want it to null my offer because let's be honest cherry valley has horrid (all honest) reviews. These people lied. There's no two ways around it. They lure you in and attempt to force you to buy and when you don't want to they basically throw a fit and kick you out. I was worried by the reviews and when I called to ask about them was told that the reviews are by disgruntled people who didn't qualify. That's not true, my income alone more than qualified me to be here, and I was willing to buy their most expensive package in cash that day. But if your company is going to lie to me to get me in the door, your tour of the facility is a complete joke, with decapitated conditions, then why would I trust anything else you had to offer. Buyer beware. This place is a straight up scam, poorly run by people who look like they are still living in the 80s, and are completely out of touch with reality, and who have 0 relationship woth the truth.

I can speak from experience, I ran for the board next thing I know, I have the board president knocking on my door asking me to resign so they could put one of their good old boy friends in. I felt at that time I didn't want to deal with this kind of BS so decided to resend my application. After much thought, meeting some really good people in the community that were trying to do the right thing, I stood fast. I joined the Finance Committee went toe to toe with the good old boys BOD. I was one of the main focuses of developing the rental cap committee because I had foreseen a problem with more than 25% of the community being rentals. There was a vote 50% plus one and it passed. It's 2026 now and I can say from experience things have completely turned around. We have a top-notch general manager onsite now and the board is active, transparent and making some awesome changes. Mountain Shadows RV Resort is a beautiful place to live, very affordable and welcoming. I would recommend Mountain Shadows RV Resort.

There are only 28 pull thru sites for short term rental. And they are located right at the park entrance with no gate, no check-in stop and no lighting, cameras or security. The first and only night we stayed here our $2,000+ electric bike was stolen off our locked and covered bike rack at 3:30am. And the Thule bike rack was ruined. We were awakened at that time by a loud but short motor sound followed by a bang and a shaking of our trailer. At first we thought the wind had blown something into our trailer. It took a couple of minutes to gather our thoughts and look out the windows before going outside. After cautiously proceeding, it was discovered that our bike had been stolen. The next morning we spoke with another camper 1 space over to see if he had seen or heard anything and he did hear the noise but didn't see anything. He also thought it might have been wind related and thus put his awing in. He did however, inform us that at check-in he was told "if you have bikes or camp valuables they recommend that you keep them inside your RV if you are gone or at night". The reason is they have had theft problems before in the RV pull thru sites. We were not given this piece of information. Also that morning we spoke with a full time resident who was taking a walk and she told us this has been a chronic problem at the RV pull thru sites and the complex has done nothing to resolve it. And they usually will warn you to secure everything. We did call the police and they came out to take a report and they confirmed that bike, motor cycle and car theft is pretty pervasive in this area. And they aren't sure why the complex hasn't done anything for better security. Now comes the bulls--t from the management or office staff. We went to complain and inform them of the theft and to request our money back. We also asked why they didn't inform us of the problem and the recommendation to lock stuff in your RV. The woman said "oh we never tell anybody that" which means our site neighbor and the resident just made that up. I asked why there is no gate or lights or cameras or security and here is her response. I paraphrase "The police don't care to even look at camera footage, the city won't let us put in a gate, (even though the police have recommended it), we are not responsible for stolen property or damages". I even asked why wouldn't you attach a flyer or note in the check-in paper work letting people know there is a theft problem in the area? Her response was "if we did that people wouldn't want to stay here". So the result is get your property stolen so we don't lose any customers. Now comes the wonderful customer service - NOT!! At first they offered to return our money. But after going through all the "why do nothing for security" options my wife said "well, we will be noting this problem in our review", and the lady responded "well, if you're going to give us a bad review, forget the refund" and threw my credit back at me. Good Sam has been notified of the park problems and that this park in no way meets the Good Sam standards and should not be recommended.
