I've been coming here for the last 6 months or so once I found out that they were located nearby! I used to drive up to Menlo Park to wash my Samoyed, Moshi (he needs a bath every 4-6 weeks). I use the self-wash tubs which are very well stocked, they offer quality shampoos and supplies - literally everything you need from brushing their teeth, cleaning their ears, brushing them, etc you name it. The service here is also amazingly friendly. My dog takes forever to dry so they always help and offer a quick-dry spray (works like magic) and a large fan to aid in the blow drying process. I cannot recommend this groomer enough - they always make sure Moshi and I are well supported!! They check in on Moshi too to make sure he's having a good time and given some treats for his troubles. read more

My 12-and-a-half year-old vizsla hates having her nails clipped and we've even been not invited back to two vet clinics because she's too resistant (nipped a vet tech, I think). I walked in w her to the country pet wash (we had an appointment), and the young woman in charge had this great energy and can-do spirit that I think really made my dog at ease. We use self service dog wash station and every other time I will have Amanda trim my dog's nails. She does an excellent job. I have read some of the negative reviews and I will say that Amanda and staff are generally super nice and helpful. If you call on weekends when it's busy or interrupt her when she is working with the dog and trying not to get bit well yes, she can be short with you, but frankly I don't fault her for that. There were trees blocking my route. She also insulted me without provocation by saying she didn't care if it snowed or rain or anything ,I had to make the appointment. Today we went to wash our dogs. We have been coming to this location for close to a decade and have had really great service. At some point in time ownership changed and wow!!!! As we entered the store today the owner screamed in my face three times to close the door. I am a dog owner, obviously, that's why I was coming there, so I know how frisky dogs get when a door gets opened. I'm sure the owner was worried that the two unleashed, recently groomed dogs who were near the door would escape. A couple of notes, please goes a long way, tone goes a long way and dogs on leash , which is one of the establishments norms. The self service bath setup here is sooooo much better than the other local option, Pet Food Express (PFE). The tubs aren't as deep so you don't kill your back leaning over to wash your dog, they have adjustable collars to keep your dog safe (and less squirmy) in the tub, the water temp is easily adjustable, they supply everything you could ever need (shampoo, conditioner, detangle spray, skunk spray, teeth cleaning supplies, ear cleaning supplies, tasty treats), the dryer air is lukewarm instead of cold like the PFE Palo Alto location. It was also nice that the water pressure was reasonably strong. It takes forever to rinse my dog at PFE and their washes are time based so the lack of water pressure and cold air dryer work against you there. I do love PFE but Country Pet Wash will definitely be our self service pet wash from now on. read more
