Absolutely NOT !!!!! The Owner does the grooming and the pricing ! 1st of all she really just shaves off all of their hair that's the only cut she knows! She also changes the price when you pick up your dog !!!!! One Price when I dropped him off another price when I picked up my bald long hair dog !!! This is the 2nd time she's done this ! The 1st time was with my deceased dog , She told me 80.00 for him which was ridiculously high for him 10 lb multi poo but when I picked him up she wanted $100.00 saying it was a lot of work ! I let it go but she did it again she told me $60.00 for my new puppy and when I picked him up she changed it to $80.00 dollars saying it was so much work !!!! She over charges and she just really shaved the dogs all the way down ! Tried a new groomer for my senior dog Jenny a couple of months ago and left extremely disappointed, not by the cut, but by the owner. Jenny was a little bit nervous since it was her first time here and had an accident during grooming. When we came to pick her up, the lady had the audacity to hand my mother the dog poop in a bag and asked her to throw it away for her. We found this extremely weird and disrespectful. I would give 0 stars if I could. I took my dog here, a labradoodle. She shaved her so short that you could see red spots on my dogs skin. When we called her back to ask if there was any home remedies she knew of to make the red spots go away, she became horribly defensive and began to cuss me out. At first, I tried to be as patient as possible, but I gave up and hung up. Clearly, she uses unsanitary equipment, doesn't obey customer instructions (we asked for a longer cut because we had dealt with skin irritation many times after visiting her grooming shop), and also infects dog's skin. my friends recommended this Korean groomer (well their moms did), and after Rocco's flea infestation at the former place I went to, I decided to check out OK Pet Grooming. I had a 9 AM appointment today, and got there 10 minutes early. it's located in the hallway section in between VIP and Hometown Buffet. It's a long area, and fairly clean. I couldn't see the doggies in the cages on the right hand side, but could hear a couple. Rocco was really matted because I'm bad and dont brush him as often as I should. It'd also been 6 months since his last grooming session. I know he's a handful, and warned the groomer. Exactly 3 hours later I get a call that he's ready, and he came out shaved, as I had expected. I scheduled an appointment for the weekend and dropped off my dog. The owner spoke to me about what I wanted for my dog's haircut and I showed photos from his previous cut from another salon (in LA so I was unable to go back this time). Throughout the conversation I heavily emphasized that I wanted half of his length off MAX. She kept saying how that would mean I needed to go get him groomed sooner (than if I were to get him shaved), but I reiterated saying that is fine as I like my dog with longer fur. She even pointed to a photo of a dog on the wall, of a shaved dog, saying that was a medium cut and asked if I wanted to consider that instead. I again told her no and showed my photo another time saying I wanted it like that, and pointed to my dog again saying half of the length off. She seemed to understand since she said okay, but when I went to pick up my dog he was UNEVENLY SHAVED. I was extremely unhappy because I emphasized how much I did not want him shaved/cut short but that was obviously ignored. Furthermore, when I left I noticed how short his nails were cut, one nail on the back paw was cut so short I could see the quick of his nail. His ears were not cleaned, paw fur was not trimmed, and belly/private area was not shaved (all which seem to be part of a standard grooming session for a dog). Ok Dog Grooming is the best groomer in the Bay Area. Don't let the small interior fool you. My dog is the pickiest little Maltese and this is the ONLY groomer in her 8 years of existence to kiss on her way out. The groomer is a kind lady with excellent customer service! I don't care how my dogs hair cut looks as long as she walks out happy and her fur is shorter for the hot summer heat. The way your dog looks shouldn't be of concern to animal lovers versus their happiness. It's annoying seeing reviews pinpointing how the haircut is too short or ugly. As long as your dog looks happy, who cares about something where the hair will grow back out? Let me just say that it's not just an "OK" grooming they're fantastic! I was very hesitant to bring my pomeranian here since they have pictures of some very shaved down poms but I really emphasized that I didn't want her shaved down. I dropped her off signed a few things and picked her up 2 1/2 hours later. I also can't forget to mention that I made an appointment the day before! I wanted to add on a flea bath but she told me there were no fleas so she didn't charge me for it which I thought showed how honest they were. When I picked her up she smelled amazing! This place deserves more than 5 stars. We are pet sitting an 8 month old Shih Tzu for a prolonged period of time and it came time for the little guy to get a pet grooming. He has been notorious for trying to bite groomers and really does not like to be touched. I don't know how OK Pet Grooming did it, but they worked their magic. They did caveat that considering how sensitive the dog is, they would need to shave him very close since that machine is the quietest. We said that was OK and asked them to try their best. I took my dog this past Saturday and I made myself very clear on what type of cut I wanted for my dog, it could have been a language barrier, but the outcome was not what I wanted. I told the lady that it wasn't what I wanted, while she still insisted that everything was o.k. I told her, no that it wasn't and that I had explained myself clearly of what I wanted. I showed her pictures of the cut I wanted, demonstrated the length, and still they got everything wrong. Petsmart does a better job, and for the price. She charged me $40.00, by doing something I could have done at home, they just used clippers. Do not take your pet here, my dog was shaking and he seemed to have a terrible experience. I have a 25 pound poodle terrier mix that is scared of his own shadow! We have gone to multiple groomers and they all find him too difficult to work with. One groomer said that she wouldn't be able to work on him unless he was sedated. My mom helped me find this place and we have been going for the past year and it has been great. The owner is so patient and extremely accommodating to our situation. Since my dog is so scared, she would have us come on a Sunday (when they are closed) so my dog can be groomed without the distraction of other dogs!! We were so grateful that she should do that for us on her day off. Now Riley is a lot more comfortable with her and do not have to do that. We are quite picky about his cut but she does an amazing job. His hair is always very even and cut so beautifully. Love this place for a quick doggie fix. She is a korean groomer but you can still communicate with her to get what you want. Keep the instructions short and simple though. I love the kind of shampoo scent she puts on my pom. Every time my dog comes back he is so soft and smells so good in a very cute and fluffy way ( not that Petco old lady rich perfume).
