What a great little hidden gem!! The food was excellent, staff was friendly, what more could you ask for?

Country Skillets just opened a few months ago. We live in town and I have been looking for a good breakfast place to take my family. It is a great place for my kids and meets my needs for eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. The pancakes a big and come with almost every breakfast, my kids can eat them and a scrambled egg and are fine. The rest of the food is adequate. The service is great and the atmosphere is very fun. We will be coming back because it works so well for the family. read more

This is a great spot. It can get super busy and the kitchen may take a little extra time on those days, but over all pretty consistent . The food is ALWAYS good! The service is always friendly and the floors are always clean. Love this little gem! read more

The customer service, staff and food here are fantastic. They absolutely know what they are doing. Perfect seasoning, biscuits were light, the gravy perfectly seasoned and not at all heavy. I had the stuffed crepes topped with strawberries...absolutely amazing. Exactly the way crepes should be...light and tender. Great portions. I can't recommend this place enough. It is worth going 20 miles out of your way to get here. Anyone that knows me knows I'm a coffee snob...if I add cream and sugar it means I need the caffeine and had to mask the taste. Not this coffee! Great flavor and kept topped off. Anytime I come this way I will make a point of stopping. Thanks so much! I've been here 4 times and each time its been fantastic! The service and food have been great. I'd recommend any of the omelets, the French toast, and the biscuits and gravy. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time this pass weekend. Have to say this is our favorite breakfast location. I have not found a restaurant that has good biscuits and gravy but this restaurant does. Large portions and friendly service. Will travel from Modesto to eat here. read more

We've eaten here a few times now and traditional breakfast items are great and we always have great service. If they only served breakfast, I would give them 5 stars. The -2 stars are for the lunch items I've tried. The taco salad seems to have some kind of bland chili beans and just a tiny bit under a huge mountain of lettuce, a few tomatoes and cheese. Today I tried the grilled veggie wrap. The menu says : Fresh greens with zucchini, bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, green onions, tomato, Jack cheese, grilled, and wrapped in a large flour tortilla. I took a bite and it was very bland so I opened up the half I was eating to put salt on it and it was all lettuce, with 3 tiny pieces of zucchini, no bell peppers, no mushrooms, no spinach, no onions, no tomato and no cheese. It was basically a bunch of lettuce in a tortilla with no seasoning, and none of the other items on the menu. It had no flavor and I couldn't even eat it. So, go for breakfast, but beware of the other items. read more

Had a nice experience at Country Skillets on a Sunday morning. We were there in between soccer games and needed food fast. We were pleased with the selection, the service and the food. We ordered omelets, eggs and bacon and a chicken sandwich. Everything was very good and portions were almost too generous. This is a good option for anyone aiming to avoid fast food and not in the mood for one of many good Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

Nothing special. Traditional assembled American processed food and canned food assembly. Denny's nearby has more choices if you have to eat a processed food breakfast. Ugh! read more

This was THE worst service I have ever experienced in my life. First off, we get seated and was given no menus for us to decide what we wanted to order. How can you expect someone to order drinks or food, if they are not given a menu? Ridiculous, right! When we were finally given the menus and ordered our food, we waited 55 MINUTES! 55 FRICKIN MINUTES! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THE WORST PART IS OUR FOOD WAS COLD! All 4 skillets were cold.. The cheese on the "hot" skillets were not even melting. I mean come on.. Also, I ordered a side of sausage but it never came. I just wanted some protein with my crepe that I had ordered. When I told the waitress of this issue, I ended up not wanting it anymore so I told her to take it off the check. But of course, she did not. I had to get up from my seat to tell her again. We came into this breakfast place with hopes of delicious food to fill our stomachs, but we only came out with disappointment and anger in the service and food. read more

We eat here often. It is always busy which is a good. The portions are generous and food is great. The service is wonderful. It is clean.

All I can say is WOW!!!!! Where do I start?? We came here for breakfast to celebrate my daughter in Laws birthday, they came from the Bay Area for the weekend. She ordered the biscuits & gravy breakfast, my son & I had The country fried steak and eggs & my wife had the pigs in a blanket! ALL of our meals were incredible!! The Portions are HUGE and the food is made from scratch... you can totally tell the difference!!!! As far as the service, I can't say enough about the amazing service we received! Andy our server, welcomed us in and treated us as if we had walked into his own home. They all went above and beyond to serve us and make sure our coffee was always full!(which by the way is AMAZING coffee), she even got a special Birthday song by the staff and all who were there. The atmosphere at Country Skillet is great and the establishment is very welcoming.. I'm SO glad they're in Ripon, it will definitely be our to go place, especially when friends and family are here to visit! read more

Excellent fluffy waffles, bacon was crisp, scrambled eggs perfect and not over worked, and coffee hot / plentiful. Service super!!

Great Food! Sometimes a bit too noisy with after soccer gatherings, may need to look at acoustics. I would recommend two things in addition: stop buying Hints Ketchup, by Heinz (the only Ketchup) and play some soft coffee house type music. Great place. read more

Been there three times for breakfast and once for lunch. Always tasty food and appropriate quantity. Omelettes are my breakfast choice and they are yummy. The California with avocado is a good blend. More country potatoes than I could eat. Only gave it four stars because two of the four times I have been there, one order came out several minutes after the first one was delivered. If they can get that fixed the get the other star. read more

Stopped by a few days ago and had breakfast, everything was amazing! From the service to the food, even the cleanliness was a 10 out of 10 and that's a big win for me. I was dreading coming to this location only because I go to the Pittsburg locations atleast 2 times a week, have stopped in at the Manteca location and this was my last stop. Now I need more locations to try out along my commute to Modesto keep up the good work Country Skillets and I will continue to support your delicious restaurant chain. Thanks again! read more

I had one of the worst breakfasts of my life here. I had the Eggs Benedict, immediately I had to remove the ham because it had a strange plastic type taste. I gave it to my husband because he's not picky with meat, and he was aghast at the strange flavor. The eggs were way too runny (I call them "boogery") the hollandaise sauce tasted like a cheap instant mix, the potatoes were limp. My husband wasn't satisfied with his Chicken Fried Steak meal either. It just wasn't yummy at all. I made Eggs Benedict at home by scratch the next day to try to make up for this place. At least we didn't spend more money by having taken the entire family. read more

Smelled like burnt food when we walked in. Pricey for diner food. Nothing special here. Would we return, uh...doubt it.

We wanted to like this restaurant but we just can't say that! The location is nice with windows showing the almond orchard which is perfect for a small town. Beyond that, the waitress was unfriendly and acted as if it didn't matter what we thought of the food even though we told her it was our first time there. Ordered over medium eggs that came over easy and ice cold. Hash browns cooked perfectly but absolutely no seasoning. Although the waitress didn't ask us how the food was, we volunteered the information by telling her the potatoes had no flavor and she responded "we don't cook with seasoning so the customers can do it". Even ham had no flavor. I ordered white toast and was told "we are out of white bread for some reason" although they had been open for only 25 minutes on a Sunday morning and are literally in the same shopping center as save mart that sells white bread. read more

This is my first visit and I really liked the food and the service was great. I had the California omelet with country potatoes.

Fast, friendly service. Really great food in portions that won't have you looking for a snack any time soon! As my son said - they lnow how to treat Beef, he had the French Dip, The Wife loved the Cinnamon Apple Waffle, and I had the Country Chops. No one managed to finish their plate! And, the biscuit and gravy was just like Mom used to make! You have got to try this place! read more

Friday, November 10 was my first time here. It was clean and somewhat busy. We were not acknowledged as we entered, so we just seated ourselves. It took 7 minutes before we were brought menus. I wondered if the waitress even knew we were there. She showed up and took our drink order. After 4 minutes, we were brought our drinks. 4 minutes later, she returned to take our food order. At this point, I would give 2 stars for service. 20 minutes later, our food arrives. The meal was very good. I had the philly cheese steak omelette. My husband had the farmers skillet. My daughter had French toast. No complaints. Up to 3 stars, now. Waitress came by to refill our drinks and to bring me a carton to take food home. Services is looking up. I'll add another star. Even though we were off to a slow start, things definitely improved. I'm giving Country Skillet 4 stars and will return. read more

First time here. I had The Louisiana (A hot link on a roll). It was very good. The price was reasonable and the service was good. I gave it four stars because the garnish looked a little wilted and the orange slice looked old. But my meal was great. I'll come back here. read more
