Pancakes with Nutella via door dash delivery. Nutella is $2.99 extra.
    Karla G.

The food was good even though it arrived as shown in the picture. I paid $2.99 for extra Nutella and this is what I got. Some recommendations to the business: 1. Put all toppings on the side. 2. When people pay $2.99 for extra Nutella, don't skimp on it.

Food was fresh and hot tore my plate up can't take a picture of that. Came pretty early got our food pretty quick only took about 10 mins. Service was good they asked how the food was multiple times. Overall great spot to eat early in the AM

Food was delicious the meat lovers omelette was 9/10 and the waffles with strawberry's were exceptional

Left very satisfied and definitely over ate. I was super impressed with everything actually. We ordered a lot to try pre things and it made us eat more lol. Meat lover omelette - delicious! Got the side pancakes too (also very good, i finished them!) Hubby got the bacon combo with biscuit and gravy, the gravy lacked some flavor but we're actually not big gravy ppl so didn't bother us. And we had so much food, we didn't miss it. We also shared a plain waffle, yum! Cooke just like we like!

    Cinnamon apple waffle

I recently went to this place because I live near by but never tried it before, best decision! The food looked great, the waffles were great soft and a little bit crispy, the apples were delicious as well. The service was good, staff was really nice, over all I really recommend this place.

Each time we visit here for breakfast, we always get great service from friendly staff members. We love their vast selection of foods to choose from on the menu, including their specials. Our food always arrives hot and fresh. They close in the afternoon but open up bright and early, so give them a visit soon and enjoy!

Our server was really friendly. Our breakfasts were really tasty. I had a country scramble with half a waffle. My son had the chicken fried steak breakfast with hash browns and a biscuit & gravy. Endless coffee. Only complaint was the. Ceiling fans were on too high.

Very yummy! Good service! Nice folks.

Came here on 4/11 looking for a late breakfast. Our server was an older woman, very kind, and very quick as well. I ordered the Santa Barbara Benedict, my partner ordered the Denver omelette which came with a waffle. It's unfortunate that I only got a photo of the waffle, but trust me when I say this place is worth your time and money. My eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious, my partner enjoyed their omelette as well. We were so full and my partner couldn't even eat their waffle, but we got it to go, and I volunteered myself to eat it for them. Needless to say, it was delicious even hours later, I can only imagine how well it would've tasted had I'd eaten it fresh. Merced has a LOT of subpar restaurants/food but country waffles is NOT one of those restaurants. If I am ever in Merced again, I know where I'll be getting breakfast!

The pancakes were severely undercooked! The nastiest breakfast I've eaten so far. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Found this spot through Yelp and it did not disappoint!!…read more First off the pancakes are huge. You could easily share them between two people and they let you choose a sauce for the pancakes, whether that's syrup Nutella or condensed milk. The espresso shots were actually really good. I was shocked because they are literally shots of espresso. They are not alcoholic unless you ask for alcohol in them. This spot actually offers complementary soup before your meal. For us Mexicans, it's called Sopa de Fideo. This soup was actually authentic, and it was really flavorful and good and was basically an appetizer to the breakfast. The espresso shots did come with a side of bread. Personally, I'm not a big person on espresso by itself however, these espresso shots were really good! Now the actual service here was great. Our waiter was attentive She was constantly refilling our water cups and she was able to give us recommendations for what to eat. Also I will add her recommendations were spot on. The inside of this restaurant is really aesthetically cute. There's a bunch of green anywhere outside. They have a cute patio area where you can eat. If you decide to do that! Anyways, I would definitely come here again. It was reasonably priced and it was really good for a breakfast spot. I will say that and the soup was a nice touch because I love soup!

Finally gave this place a try and it's a great place for breakfast/brunch…read more They give you a little cup of sopa de fideo as an appetizer. I got the breakfast skillet with bacon. Boyfriend got the chilaquiles. Then we also got French toast on the side. Everything was delicious and portion sizes are huge. We definitely took leftovers home. Casual ambience and family friendly. Wait staff was really nice. She managed both patio and inside tables on her own before another person came in. Recommend!

The restaurant itself is beautiful: bright, airy, sophisticated without feeling stuffy, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. I especially loved the back room with its gorgeous wood-shingle walls, plants, and cozy seating. I ordered the Ancient Grain Bowl, and it was so good. All the ingredients came together into something hearty, fresh, colorful, and incredibly satisfying. This is my kind of meal: nothing feels like an afterthought. My friend had the Millionaire BLTA, which looked fantastic, and those fries deserved some attention of their own. I definitely helped with quality control. Service was excellent from beginning to end, and between the food, beautiful surroundings, and relaxed atmosphere, lunch felt like a little treat rather than just a meal. My only complaint? Rainbird is in Merced and I am not. I'd happily come back.

Today I enjoyed the Spanish Omelet with sweet potato hash and an iced vanilla latte. Absolutely delicious! On my last visit, I had the tomato bisque soup and the Beet Salad and it was just perfect for a healthy, perfectly filling lunch, in the middle of my "busy work day". The service is exceptional from the moment that you first walk in the double doors, until you are seated. On both visits I was greeted by the Host, Louie. He is very welcoming and accommodating, offering me a beautiful window seat at my visit, and also bringing me water before my servers came to my table. Both of my servers were exceptional! Olivia took care of me when I came for lunch, and Dayan served me today at breakfast. They both know the menu well and recommended the menu items that I enjoyed. They also made my Iced Lattes to perfection! I need to come back for dinner on my next visit in town. The decor of The Rainbird and it's sister restaurant with to-go options, Native Son, are so special and unique to the historic times reflected on Main Street in Merced. Both restaurants are located inside El Capitan. I've heard this Historic Hotel is also stunning, so if you're coming into Merced or driving through the Central Vallley, headed "somewhere", stop by Rainbird or Native Son, and if you need a break from the drive, you can stay at El Capitan!
