Well finally got a chance to come in the morning to get some breakfast treats for the wife and family. Pleasant place Lots of free parking. Smiles and feeling of aloha. Orders the sampler of French toast, pancakes and waffles. Yummers. Also a must have in Hawaii is the banana macadamia nut pancakes. I didn't check but just got the regular pancake syrup, next time I will see if I can get the coconut syrup. We absolutely got the passion fruit biscuits on the side. Don't pass this item . I wanted to try something different rather than the Mauna Kea Plate which I always ordered so I tried the HIBACHI GRILLED CHICKEN Grilled marinated chicken, served with choice of starch and side. What I got was fatty thighs looked like chicken wings with skin! So much fatty skin by the time I peeled it all off hardly no chicken left! There is a Countryside Cafe in Waianae so I kinda had an idea on the menu. The Keaau location just opened up recently and is already a favorite of my boyfriend's family. There were indoor and outdoor seating. So we sat down on a beautiful wood table with bench seating. I can't recall what everyone got, but we ended up with leftovers and wanting more. The Churro Waffles really tasted like churro. The last time I had them was in San Diego and told myself that was number one. Now that I've tried Countryside's Churro Waffles, they are tied for first. It has the right amount of cinnamon on a crisp, fluffy texture. It doesn't need any syrup or butter. No toppings, no whipped cream. And they were the perfect size. The service was also great! They kept checking up on us and accommodated us with absolute aloha. If you're on Oahu, Countryside Cafe is moving to a new location. They used to be along Maili Beach. Now they're moving into SeaCountry which is inside Maili. They took over the general store location. read more

Tater tots were freezer burned and dry, eggs under cooked, kimchi fried rice was unique but seemed like they just stirred kimchi into rice and added soy sauce. Seafood omelette was "not very good". Countryside Cafe Kea'au has the same owners and same delicious food as the Maili location! After moving from Maili last year it's been really comforting to have a familiar place. The food is excellent. My favorite is the corn beef hash loco moco. It is topped with a silky gravy and pickled onions. If you like pickled onions def get some on the side as well because they are GOOD! The staff has always been pleasant and welcoming every time I went in to pick up an order. This place was good but for the last 4 months the food has gone down hill! Not sure what is going on but my garlic chicken was inedible, not only partially raw but no actual chicken pieces, I found Hair in my food and literally heard the server tell the small girl in the window about it but the response was so disgusting I didn't even want my food. The bathroom is always disgusting it's clean but smells so bad. I don't like to complain because the service is 5 star but it's horrible management. These girls have to pay for dine nd dashes and I only know this because one time they were so worried about how they would pay for a check. The server refused to tell us but I know these kind of people. Make sure you tip your server because they do the most!!!!Naiai is good during the week but now Leyla is our favorite. read more

This place it is a MUST! I was looking for a breakfast place that I could try Moco Loco for the first time. After searching, this was at the top of my search and it was worth every calorie! The food is fresh and you can tell it was made from scratch. I had the Moco Loco with Fried Rice and 2 eggs over easy. The flavor was great and it was not very salty or overwhelming. The flavor was balanced and the kimchi gave it a kick. To start I had some fresh fruit and it was good and local fruit. The papaya was sweet. I could have eaten three of them. The pancakes were made with chocolate chip and they were good and bit sweet for my taste but it was worth it. Their coffee is very strong. JET-A strong so if you like strong coffee. This is for you and you will grow hair on your chest. The service that Tiani provided was good, efficient and she ensured that I had water and coffee filled up. The restaurant has an open concept so all the doors are open and you can feel the breeze thru the restaurant and it is so calm. It is a stress free environment and very relaxing. Dined us in a nice booth that fit our growing family and very attentive to our needs. The patty in the loco moco was one of the best I've had on island so I can imagine their burgers must be bomb as well! My companion ordered a mixed plate of pancakes, waffle, and French toast. So I had a taste and everything was good! Second, after my companion left, I went inside to deliver the cash tip so it was not left by itself outside. Some of the staff remembered me from my almost daily breakfasts, a year ago before I moved from the nearby airbnb's. They invited me to sit with them at their table and we spent a lot of time reminiscing and catching up on our various endeavors.
