Solid local breaky. Good variety on the menu. Friendly staff and small business vibe. Parking seems like it could get a bit hectic if it got crowded but when I was there the parking seemed fine. This place has both inside and outside seating which is nice. Kalua pork eggs Benedict were a good choice but the chocolate chip pancakes are what really impressed me. It's only two pancakes but they are big and delicious! Also, the potatoes and fried rice are very good so I recommend getting one of them as a side...even if you're ordering breakfast you won't regret it. Fair prices and I hope to be back to try more breakfast menu items. read more

Came here after a hike at the Ma'ili pillbox trail. The adobo fried rice was sooooo ono! I'm part Filipino and it exceeded my expectations. The portions are pretty big too. Recommend if you're on the west side of Oahu! read more

We were lucky enough to dine at Countryside Cafe twice while we were in Makaha. I so wish we would have tried them sooner as we would have eaten there much more often during our stay! The staff was wonderful!! So friendly that you felt like a regular from the get go. Both times we visited we were more than satisfied with the entire experience. The food was fantastic!! We try to have something new on each visit...but my youngest couldn't help but go back to the sampler Walk Through the Country both times!! Highly recommend paying them a visit!! read more

This is only my 2nd time here but I've gotta say that the food and service are both great, the only downfall is that the portions aren't as big as you'd usually expect but it is still well-cooked food! When you arrive you seat yourself at any open table, waitress came and brought us our water with the menus, then came back and took our order. I'd say the wait time for the food was around 15 minutes which isn't that bad for ordering a Biscuits and Gravy (8/10, wasn't that hot.) Avocado Flatbread with Chicken (9/10, not much avocado added mainly tasted just the chicken.) Shrimp Omelette with potatoes as the side (8/10, eggs were a little overdone and the potatoes were pretty small pieces.) , and Luau Omelette (9/10, so much Kalua pig with very little Egg and Lomi Salmon.) read more

Great find on our way to the beach! My goodness everything was so good! I got the special that was Furikaki garlic shrimp and it was AMAZING! the sauce was perfect and creamy so it made the rice to die for. My friend got tithe hibachi grilled chicken, mac salad and rice. The meat was falling off the bone, marinated for the gods, and every bite was so delicious. So happy im full before my hike and beach stop. Don't pass this place up! read more

Love at first bite! Visited today for the first time and wished we didn't wait so long to make the drive. It was constantly busy, but we snagged a table outside. We ordered several dishes.. cheeseburger and fries, the burger was home made and seasoned and brioche bun toasted to perfection. Corned beef hash loco moco w/fried rice..the gravy was unexpected but hands down the best I've tasted. The corned beef hash was a homemade patty and fried rice had Portuguese sausage in it and it came with perfect pickled onions! Lastly, Braddahs plate w/side of biscuits and gravy and extra lilikoi biscuits. Of course the biscuits were homemade and the lilikoi sauce is tasty! When in doubt order every and anything that catches your eye on the menu. We will definitely be returning customers. read more

This restaurant is worth the drive! Blink and you will miss it! Definately a ma and pop place! The food is very tasty! A ton of local favorites... crab cakes were very good. I loved the home fries and the eggs tasted as if they were farm fresh. Coffee is served in metal cups so it is kept hot and the service is friendly and attentive. Searing is inside or outside and the ocean is right across the street. Peaceful atmosphere. Credit and debit is taken. We WILL be adding this to our list of favorites read more

No frills, yummy food on the west side. So glad I came back here after a sweet hike at the pillboxes. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp & Mushroom stir fry, Hamburger Loco Moco with kimchee, and Walk Through the Country trio french toast/pancake/waffle sampler. My friend and I stopped by Countryside Cafe on at 9am on a Saturday morning before checking out Kaena Point. There is a small parking area in front of the restaurant, and we got one of the last two stalls. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas were busy, but we managed to get an inside table without a wait. By the time we finished eating, most of the crowd cleared out. I ordered a Luau Omelet ($9.95) which was filled with kalua pork and spinach with potatoes as my side. My friend ordered the Teri Chicken Kimchee Fried Rice ($10.95). My omelet was delicious! The kalua pig was juicy and tender (although it didn't have the smoke flavor) and paired well with the spinach and tomatoes. My friend also enjoyed her fried rice but to me it didn't look that appetizing. The service here was very friendly! The only complaint I had is that it took over 15 minutes for someone to take our order. But once we ordered, they did a lot of check-backs to ask how we were doing. My friend ordered coffee and they made sure her mug wasn't empty unless she wanted it empty! Overall, I would come back here if I was in the Waianae area, but it's not so amazing that I would come special just to eat. When you turn into the area of the location there's a small parking lot and country side cafe is at the bottom. There is inside and outside seating. There is also a drive thru. They have a breakfast and lunch menu, including a separate drink menu with smoothies and other options. There is plenty of seating. Early in the morning it tends to be more bussier than later in the morning. The food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. We had a great waitress who was very attentive and had great hospitality. There are many different food options to choose from, I had the steak and eggs with avocado toast and my other half had a island burrito with potatoes. Perfect portions and amazing food. read more

Then, after we finally got our food, we waited another 15 mins for one smoothie. It was ridiculous. Yes, food is good, but overall? Was disappointed. Also. I came here on a whim after remembering seeing a commercial a few years ago. Since I was already in Kapolei to run other errands, we turned on the GPS and went out for an adventure. This must have been under the tenth time in my life that I've been further west than Ko Olina, and most of the previous times were for school field trips. I don't know how often I'd come out to Māili, but the breakfast here was a good. I originally just thought I was going to order a loco moco or pancakes or something, but then I saw it-- countryside steak served with sausage gravy and lilikoi biscuits. Say less. I would definitely recommend stopping by here if you're in the area. The signage isn't the greatest if you've never been there before, but it's right at the bend in the road before Waianae begins. read more

Our Airbnb was on this long stretch of the Oahu coast and there wasn't much around in terms of food. One nearby restaurant that did look promising was the Countryside Cafe, which seemed to be a quaint little brunch joint. We arrived around lunch on a weekday and the place was maybe half full. We took a seat on their small outdoor patio and, after perusing the menu, I decided to go with the Corned Beef Hash Local Moke-O ("Homemade corned beef patty on a bed of rice, smothered in gravy, topped with eggs and pickled onion"). I had had a Loco Moco a few days earlier in a food court and it wasn't great, so my expectations weren't super high. But boy oh boy, did this thing ever knock my socks off. Everything about this dish works. The perfectly-cooked rice, the delicious corned beef, and especially the gravy. The gravy reminded me a lot of the gravy you'd get with biscuits and gravy, and it was just mind-blowingly tasty. I greedily ate every bite of this amazing concoction. (I should note, however, that consistency here seems to be an issue. We returned on Thanksgiving weekend and the food was much, much less appealing. I ordered a plate of nachos and the cheese was left unmelted! Lunacy. Suffice it to say the five stars refers to our first visit.) read more

My wife shared this place with me n I thought,ok how is it. She saw on the news commercial one morning N said let go there n try it out. We are here now the food is great. We tried the crab cakes n it was great taste n crunchy too. I order Palau steak n egg with potatoes,unreal great flavor n good too. Steak is very tender where I could use a fork to cut. The wife had the west side omelet n the is pretty filling too with great flavor with. I would say come to the west side n try this place out. Its worth the drive the the people here working are very friendly polite with great customer service. One of the best breakfast places on Oahu. I have been here twice and both times were great experiences. The first time I came here was with my coworkers, party of more than 10. I remember we got seated right away. The lady who took our order was very attentive. She got our orders right the first time. The second time I came was with my family, a party of 5. I had same great experience. Plenty of parking lot and few steps from the main door into the restaurant. As always, we got greeted and seated right away. We were given the choice of seating inside or outside. Inside please, always. Worth mentioning is their coffee. I don't know what it is, but their coffee here is magic. The balance, the flavor, the taste, and the fragrance everything everywhere all at once always made me ask for refills. This is the only place I could ask for more than 2 cups of coffee refills. The menu, the eggs, the scrambled, the pancakes, the toast, the fried rice, I love them all. Highly recommend this place. If you are from the other side of the Island, this place is a must try, and if you are from the other Island or state, this is a must visit. I will try their lunch menu someday. read more

I looked to Yelp to find breakfast while vacationing in Oahu. Countryside cafe popped up as nearby as highly rated by lots of Yelpers so I gave it a shot. I came in and it felt very laidback and slow paced, which is cool because I'm on vacation so there's no rush. It had a hole in the wall feel to it. I looked at the menu and felt incredibly underwhelmed. I asked for cafe and some non dairy creamer, I was told they didn't have any. Ok. I looked at the menu and noticed most of the options contained meat. So I just ordered something simple. Two scrambled eggs, an English muffin and a side of potatoes. When my meal arrived it all just looked so greasy, like food you would eat while hungover. My eggs were cooked fine but had a lot of grease under them, my English muffin was heavily buttered and then came with butter in the event I felt the need to coat them in even more butter. My potatoes were swimming in grease, I asked for ketchup and ate them anyway (i was starving after just having arrived). The service was good, our server was friendly and helpful that was probably the best thing about Countryside. read more

Service always with ALOHA so of course i I love this place already. This is my first visit. Warning, everything is cooked fresh so there is a WAIT. The crowded it is the longer the wait so be patient and caffeinate at leisure. Ordered Kailua Benedict to share, liliko'i biscuits and coffee. Benedict sauce is buttery smooth. Good chef. Good plating. Perfect amount of sauce. Seriously, better than the Windward side . LARGE statement here, take the challenge. Biscuits were melt in the mouth good. Liliko'i sauce is drizzled on the biscuit. A bit smaller than I expected but worth the experience. Take a leisurely drive out to the west side for breakfast. If in a rush, call ahead to order take out. Wait can be long. As orders are completed one ticket at a time. read more
