The food was not as good as I thought it would be. The area I sat in was a small private room and the flies were all over the room. The restaurant had a great view of the harbor but I think they could invest in some restaurant and hospital safe bug zappers. It's a decent food place, but sad they don't have cash for some reason, and it's only worth it if you're staying at the Navy Lodge or base housing and want a quick place to eat that you don't have to cook yourself. But there are much better options and it's worth your time off base than coming here, but I must say a good walk and view in the back isn't bad and pretty. But for the pricing, it isn't worth it. For those at Pearl Harbor or Hickam that want a sit-down lunch, this place is convenient. We came here for lunch, so this review is reflective of lunch. Customer service is okay. Let's put it this way, they're doing the bare minimum to take your order, process the transaction and deliver/alert you for your order. But more importantly, the food. My sandwich was bland. I think there was pesto but pesto as a standalone sauce is kind of bland unless it's the best pesto in the world. Maybe it was because the chicken was also very bland and the cheese (surprisingly) didn't help. Would not recommend (unless you bring your own sundried tomatoes/favorite sauce with you). Did not try my coworkers' food but one of them remarked how cold their onion rings were immediately after retrieving their tray from the counter. Yikes. I'm not sure about everyone else but I can't imagine eating cold onion rings unless I was starving. Prices were not impressive. Typical plate lunch range ~$15+. Great location and clean dining room! We ordered the Mushroom & Swiss and Classic Burger with a side order of onion rings. We didn't realize the burgers came with fries. The bun and vegetables (red onion, lettuce, & tomato) were the best parts of the burgers. The burger looked and tasted like a cheap imitation of a bubba burger. We wouldn't get burgers again. This is our go to spot for diner like meals at the water. Super casual place where you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. I've only ordered their breakfast and I've never been more satisfied. Amazing value for anything you pay. Their omlettes are huge and the breakfast I order always comes with plenty of toast. I think you get two full slices per person in either wheat, white, or sourdough. I also enjoy their hashbrowns. Where else can you get a mega breakfast for under $10 a person? And a glorious view of the ocean? One morning we even saw two ships come in. Service is nice and they take care of you if you have questions. But all condiments, water, and extra silverware are all self service. Then you just stand up and leave your table for a nice stroll along the path into the park. You definitely have to know where this place is or you'll miss it. I remembered how to get here because I had a project nearby and we ate lunch here all the time. Well, we normally ate something from the pre-made hot food line, but it's been closed down since COVID-19. I was hoping that the hot food line would be open by now, but it was still closed, so I ended up getting the oriental chicken salad. The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and not oily; it was so good with the oriental dressing. The salad itself was really huge, with 6 pieces of huge cucumbers and a bunch of won ton chip, sesame seeds and almonds. My only gripe about this salad is the sesame seeds were not toasted and there were a handful of bad mixed greens within the salad. Everything else was delicious and more than enough to fill me up. This place is a hidden treasure! Located towards the back on Hickam Air Force Base, the food here was simply delicious. You do need Military access to eat here, and the ambiance is a very casual cafeteria ordering style. They are only open until 1 so you have to be quick to catch them but it's usually not too crowded even on a weekday during lunch hour. There's seating inside and outside and the view is nice overlooking the harbor. We ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger and kid chicken tenders and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere of this place isn't the most exciting but it's very nice when you walk outside to the patio seating and get to experience both Pearl Harbor and the mountains. The inside is kind of dark and iree but there is some good natural lighting. The ambiance is polar opposite from the inside to outside. Keep in mind that Hickam has the flight line on it so it is very loud with engines coming and going. They have large portions and quite the number of breakfast option to choose from. The have both fountain drinks and bottled drinks to choose from. Love this place for breakfast. Of course not everyone can get on base, but if you can, it's great. The other day I had a 3 egg omelet with toast and a coffee, $10! Had a Reuben a while back and it was excellent. They used to have sporadic hours so when we golfed they were always closed (they opened too late, closed too early). Check before you go, it changes... The bonus is the entertainment you can have with your old stale bread. If you don't have any, stop by Loves on Middle St. before you go and grab some "animal food" bread. After you eat walk straight out the door to the waters edge and start tossing in pieces of the bread. Pretty soon dozens of fish come up, and eventually giant Oio will pop up over the edge. Hint: don't take pics of the ships leaving the harbor. Them sailors have very loud PA systems and will scold you. Oooooops read more

First time eating here for breakfast. It's basic breakfast food, but for a better price compared to the outside. I had their breakfast special#7 which consisted of fried rice (different from the local and/or Asian style), 2 eggs, and a choice of meat for only $7.50. My friend had the breakfast special#8 which consisted of hash, toast, corn beef hash w/ potatoes, and eggs (forgot the price). I seen a sign that shows that they have a lunch buffet, but I don't know how much it is or what kind of food are included. It's located within Hickham Military base. There's ample parking right in front and there's a beautiful view of the ocean channel right outside their windows. Ewa Beach can been seen across the channel too which is crazy given the actual drive we'd have to make to get there. They should build a bridge already lol. This is a small cafe located inside Hickam AFB and a military ID is required for access. They offer breakfast and lunch Monday-Thursday and dinner on Friday and Saturday. The menu options are not very large but the food is prepared to order and the portion size is quite large. Since time was of the essence, I got their plate lunch that special. Kalbi with rice, veggies and cornbread. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my kalbi. At first I thought they were really generous with their portions. Then I discovered their kalbi had more bones than meat. I tried them anyway and was utterly dissappointed in the lack of flavor. If I wanted tasteless, I could have stuck to hospital food. The rice was burnt to a crisp. So crispy it made my teeth hurt. Now I learned why my coworkers ordered their meals. They had wraps, salads, burgers and they looked hot and fresh. It wasn't crud like my plate. Overall, I love the view, hate the food and probably will not be coming back. It was hard enough to choose crab salad or turkey and the other 2 options you had. I usually go for spinach wrapper. I've tried the turkey and crab salad which i enjoyed. The crab salad has LOADS OF ONIONS! Beware of your breathe LOL. Their salad is meh wouldn't get it again. They have an area for cafeteria style and most days it changes. The service was friendly and the prices were cheap but I can't give a lot more positives than that. We ordered pancakes and the kids 2 eggs, toast and bacon as well as a side of their fruit and papaya. The fruit was passed its "use by" date (which is a week after "packed date" FYI) it was grey and I was honestly afraid to try it. The pancakes were topped with strawberries, which again I was thinking we're going to be fresh... They were not and looked like to be frozen in syrup, so they were very soft. It's a cafeteria style restaurant located inside Hickam base. Yes, you need a military ID to get in. Friend of mine had a military ID so she brought me here for breakfast. The best thing about this place is that it's next to water and you could see the airplanes coming in to land. It's rare in Hawaii to see airplanes land near by. I like the atmosphere here. You can sit inside or outside. Anyhow, you can order your food and they'll give you a number. They don't bring the food to your table but they'll call your number when it's ready and you have to fetch it yourself. The cafe sits by the water and they have outdoor tables which makes a relaxing location for a lunch. You have the option of either picking prepared items from the line or ordering items from the grill. We ordered from the grill - we got the Ruben sandwich and the blackened chicken sandwich that came with either French fries or onion rings and a pickle wedge. The food was great and priced reasonably (for Hawaii), was quick and we had a great view while eating our lunch. The one drawback was flies but when you are outside it's expected. After eating our lunch we took a walk when I took my left over fries and feed the fish. Saw crabs, various fish and sea urchins. At certain times you will also get to see ships pass by.
