The service was all around wonderful and the atmosphere was so relaxed and nice that we stayed for a couple hours. I had the best Bloody Mary of my life there too! The Cuban sandwich was juicy and delicious, the furikake fries were very tasty too. I had the fish tacos, which were a little over cooked but still good. Overall, the drink specials were great, food delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. I would absolutely recommend this place!

The best Pina Coladas in all of the land!!! And you really cannot find a better chicken katsu. Our server checked on us a few times, gave us a table fan for the flies and made sure we got boxes for leftovers. We were perfectly content enjoying the views of the surf with the world cup playing in the background.

I came here with my dad for lunch on Father's Day, the view right on the water is amazing and the food was fantastic! The clams to start are so cheap and delicious. I got fish tacos and they were HUGE - very generous portions of fish, avocado, and fillings. My Dad got the Kalua pig and said it was good too! Only thing I have to say is that service was SUPER slow and we lowkey felt like the server forgot about us, but we did come in on a busy day. The food was good, the views were amazing, and the service was still super friendly -- I'd definitely come back!

We loved the ambiance here! Ocean front restaurant with a beautiful view of the beach! What a hidden gem on this side of the island! I never knew this was here! Don't worry about it being on military grounds - they allow you to park right outside and walk right in! The server was great! She recommended some perfect sharing items! Since we came around 4:50pm - too early for dinner so we wanted small bites and drinks! The drinks were good! And half off during happy hour! The firecracker chicken was amazing! The sauce it came in was phenomenal:D

Friendly but slow service. Food is overpriced and honestly not that great. Water tasted horrible. View is nice. But honestly, could have easily walked out without paying bc our server disappeared for so long. No one would have even noticed.

We love the BH 604.. The setting, the view, the convenience, the people..Etc. But honestly it needs a menu revamp and bar drink choice re-evaluation; add a tuna melt, flat bread pizza, charcuterie board.. something a little special! Make it seem like someone actually worked on it, not ripped up the left page off of Denny's late night menu.. The dip came with a handful of chips why? are we gonna eat it with chopsticks? The bar drinks are ok for a corner dive not for an amazing spot like this.. The help are awesome though and if I seem a bit harsh, it's because we really enjoy the spot & like to stay that way

My favorite Mai Tai in Oahu!!

Thank you John and Angie for a beautiful, memorable evening!! We couldn't have asked for a better night to end our vacation. Drinks were amazing. My favorite Mai tai by far!!! DO NOT SKIP OUT ON THE CRISPY SHRIMP APPETIZER!!! Butter fish was delish. Chicken katsu amazing! Believe it or not but the Cuban sandwich it bomb!!! Love it here! We will definitely be back every time we come!

This is our go-to place whenever we're in Oahu. It's very relaxing even when the place is packed with customers. Great staff and service, and food are always great! Breakfast, lunch, happy hour, or dinner they can cater for whatever you're hungry for. And they have have the best view.

I mean this spot is directly on the water. Everything like cheap drink specials and reasonably priced food is a bonus. Is this the best food on Oahu? No, but again... you're on the water. A few things to note: You do drive through a military checkpoint where you have to show your id. Parking seemingly is limited. They claim to have a killer Bloody Mary. The space is huge - kind of like VFW vibes with an outdoor bar and seating area, and again, right on the water. My tequila cocktail was tasty and the poke nachos were solid, although I wouldn't order them again mainly just the cost and I'd rather of just had a poke bowl or a piece of fish. (They charged extra for avocado and jalapeños). The menu ranges from a bucket of Budweiser to fish and chips, to a sizzling steak and everything in between. Prices are reasonable for Hawaii and they have specials daily including karaoke Monday. This definitely seems like a locals spot. Post beach happy hour/meal? This could be your jam.

Great food at a great location! Had excellent mahi-mahi, and salad while overlooking the water at this beautiful and laid-back restaurant. Food: excellent! Service: excellent! Overall value: very good. Overall cleanliness: average Bathroom cleanliness: above average

I've been a fan of Restaurant 604 near Pearl Harbor for many years and have been excited to see this local chain grow. This one really piqued my interest as it's right on the beach. I don't get to that part of the island often, but made a special trip to eat here and enjoy some drinks at sunset. Parking is on free, they have military-only stalls, but also a dirt area with plenty of room and a quick walk over. It's larger than it seems, with a big indoor room that would be great for events, a bar in the middle servicing inside and out, plus a big outdoor deck. It overlooks the beach and ocean; it's beautiful here. They have a large selection of local foods, happy hour specials, and special menus. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I had the fish tacos, and loved the way the fish was cooked plus the sauces. Our server seemed to not be the one for the section, but was eager to please when she noticed we hadn't ordered. It was all good in the end. Beer and cocktail menus are pretty simple, prices reasonable. If you're on the Waianae Coast and are looking for a fun place for drinks and pupu, this is it!

I'm not sure what all of the fuss is about with 604 restaurants. Yes, this one has a lovely view, and I appreciate the local staff who are most often welcoming and friendly. They have some good drinks specials and beer pitchers. But the food is nothing spectacular, in my opinion. I'd give the whole experience 3.5 stars. Wish there were more options on the water.

Made a reservation ( un necessary on a Saturday night) and sadly we left before eating. Waited 10-15 for a host to seat us.... After taking to a waiter twice, And we were shown to a table near 2 large loud parties. The view was great and perfect to watch the sun set for a romantic dinner... but the table was sticky and gross. I couldn't get what I wanted to eat since it's only served at lunch. Everything combines... So we left. Not the great experience we'd had in the past. Parking is limited so we had to park on a dirt drive with large potholes. Not sure we'll be back.

We dined there for lunch on a Monday, so naturally, they weren't too busy. We were seated right away and our drink orders were once we were seated. I decided on one of the specials of the month, White Wash. It was a refreshing mix of watermelon juice, cucumber, mint, and vodka. The bartender didn't skimp on the vodka! You can get a free kid's meal with every entree. The nachos count as entrees, and I was definitely feeling the nachos so we ordered the Lobster Nachos and the Mauka to Makai Nachos. With the Mauka to Makai Nachos, you get a very generous serving of poke nachos and kalua pig nachos. Neither plates disappointed. There were cheesy chunks of lobster on my nachos with diced jalapenos scattered on top. The poke was so fresh, and what made the nachos even better were the fresh house made tortilla chips. My kids had the mac and cheese, and cheeseburger meals. The mac and cheese was creamy and velvety. The cheeseburgers had that nice char-broiled taste. Kids eat well at Tavern! The customer service was excellent and with a view overlooking the ocean, I am looking forward to dining at Lanterns again.

Unfortunately, they don't have an elevator, which was a little difficult for my grandmother who was with us. However, we were still able to make it up the stairs slowly but surely. It wasn't busy at all but there was only one waiter/bartender. He was very kind and efficient, but I could tell it was a lot for one person to wait on the whole restaurant! It meant ordering was a little slow, but understandably. The food itself was delicious! The burgers were amazing, honestly would be on a list of top five burgers on the island. The mauka to makai (half kalua pig, half poke) nachos were amazing. The won ton chips were to die for. We also grabbed a mini purse drink - which is definitely enough for two to share! Such a fun concept and actually how I heard of the place. Besides the slightly slow service, no elevator (which sometimes, cannot help), and the AI generated menus, this place is amazing! Plus, a nice view while you eat.

Absolutely blown away…read more This place was recommended to my partner and I by multiple people so we put in the reservation. Upon arrival, we were asked for a password (which he could not find in his emails hot fortunately they gave us grace lol) then let in. The place was simply lit and each table had a literal gas lamp lighting the space. On the second floor there was a man playing the sax. It was SO gorgeous, Our waitress was great, we were easily influenced by all her suggestions and ended up getting a great meal. We started with drinks. My partner didn't hear her say that the bottom of the menu was "spirit forward" and ordered a VERY strong drink. It actually made for a very giggly and eventful dinner so it was a very happy mistake lol. I got the espresso martini. It was a little creamier than I expected but still tasted really good! I'd order again. Our first appetizer was the Wagyu carpaccio- topped with cilantro (the menu said dill but I saw/ tasted none), fried capers, and caviar. It was surprisingly light and refreshing, basically a meat salad. A beautiful start to our meal. Our second (yes, second) appetizer was the escargot and bone marrow. This was our personal star of the show. A complete 180 to the carpaccio. This was rich, heavy, and decadent. The tomato added a nice balance of acidity to counteract the fatty bone marrow. The escargot was cooked perfectly, no chew but soft and buttery. One of the best bites of my life. The salad it came with was just we needed with it. After this, there was quite a wait until our main entree. A fire dancer came, and danced on the bar counter. I'd say we waited a good 20 minutes until it came out. But we were only impatient because we had plans after dinner. Our main course, which we shared, was the King Arthur- beef Wellington with a side of crab legs. The crab did come out during our appetizers which I appreciated. I only ordered this because I never had beef Wellington before and really wanted to try it LOL, my partner said it was better than the one at hella kitchen! The waitress also talked us into ordering a side of Mac and cheese, and thank GOD she did. It came out piping hot and saucy. There was a slight note of truffle, but it wasn't overpowering, and a nice crust of cheese and breadcrumbs on top. Everything was delicious and generously portioned. You definitely get a bang for your buck. It's a hefty buck but it's so worth it.

It could have been a 5 stars experience if one of our servers didn't seem to rush things to clear up the tables. Such a fun place and the staff was AMAZING! When i told them we were here to celebrate a wedding…read moreanniversary, they jumped into action. I wanted to make sure there was no fight over the bill, so they took my card at the front desk and made sure our waitress understood the task. There was happy hour at the bar, so we started there and the bartender was so fun and friendly. The drinks were so yummy too. Ambience was stellar as they sat us outside with a view of sunset. All the dishes were were perfectly done. We had fish, prime rib, chicken, appetizers, all were so good. The $80 prime rib might seem steep but it was the most popular dish at the table. That anniversary meal was perfect. Highly recommend and so worth it. Will be back!

My family loves this place, has for a LONG time. Came for…read moreFather's Day, we put our name down and they gave an eta of 1hr 45min. Left and came back around 30-40 min later. Checked and they said another 1hr 45min. Then added another 30 min, then another. Total time waited was about 2 hrs 30min. Understandable that it's so busy especially on holidays, but to not have a decently accurate ETA wasn't looking too good. Finally got sat, and the wine cups and silverware were dirty... Food did time some time to come, but again, it's a holiday so to be expected. Server was kind and accommodating, really nice woman. Prime rib was HUGE, but the bone was also a decent chunk of it, not too bad though. New York steak was very dry. Ordered one medium and one half of the steak was medium well-well done, the other side was cooked to med-rare but somehow the whole steak was VERY dry. Would not recommend. The other New York steak was cooked fine. Caesar salad did have some pieces of old/dirty lettuce, but a good size for a big family. The ribs were decent, sweet. Parking is a toss up, gotta get there early or get lucky. Else it's street parking.
