Seen this place on yelp so of course had to try em after reading all the cool yelper reviews Country side cafe is located in a free standing building along with several other businesses within. Country side cafe is more on the Daimond head side of the building. Located mostly on an outside porch with tables and chairs. There is also seating inside (not sureif it had ac but I am guessing it prob was airconditioned. The vibe is country casual dining with the ocean across the street and a comfortable breeze coming across the outside patio dining area. The menu (pic) has alot of variety...Fried rice...country fried steak...(pic of menu). We went with the adobo fried rice (yum ) fried rice seasoned with mostly shoyu with good sized pieces of adobo (not real fatty either)....we also tried their country fried steak.. (not your conventional real crispy type) but really tasty.... If you on the west side and looking for some good local grinds for breakfast or lunch... this is it!!! read more

So happy that we found Countryside Cafe by chance when staying in Ko'Olina. The breakfast joint we were originally planning to go to had a 45+ minute wait, so we ventured here instead and had my favorite meal during our trip. We came on a Friday morning and there was no wait and plenty of empty tables. The Adobo Eggs Benedict is AMAZING. Two english muffins topped with adobo, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce. The adobo was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the vinegary soy-sauce cut through the buttery hollandaise perfectly. It comes with your choice of potatoes, white rice, or fried rice. Over a week later, I'm still thinking about this dish and wishing that we made a 2nd visit before our vacay was over. Literally one of my favorite breakfast items ever. 100% recommend! read more

I was VERY surprised I've never tried here with all the times I've driven to the west side for work. I'm always trying to figure out where to eat & somehow end up in kapolei or back in Pearl city. So the other day, My co-worker suggested Countryside for lunch. 1st impression was the staff was VERY VERY friendly & vibrant. Wasn't sure what to try since there were multiple dishes that sounded appetizing. I asked the waitress, which was better between the pork chop with mushroom & gravy or the hamburger steak. Her answer was "hands down the hamburger steak". She said everything here is homemade. Well honestly, it was probably one of the BEST hamburger steak dishes I've tried in a LONG while. The gravy was also homemade and it wasn't your typical dark brown gravy like most places. It was more like a baked chicken/mushroom kinda gravy. In my opinion, the gravy made this hamburger steak dish. I ordered it with all tossed salad with oriental dressing, which I believe was Nalo greens, and they gave a lot. Plate was one hamburger patty, wasn't too big of a patty, but I left VERY satisfied. Definitely will be back here the next time I'm working in the area to try other items. read more

This place is an awesome little gem. It's one of the few nice places to eat that far out west side (unless you score an invite to someone's house). The staff were so nice and friendly and on top of checking in and filling water, etc. I felt really welcome. Indoor dining has A/C and outdoor has a covered patio with a view of the ocean. Menu has a LOT of options, including lots of local favorites and a few unique things like a flight of French toast, waffle AND pancake, all infused with local fruit flavors. They have burgers, sandwiches, eggs Benedict, Kalbi, noodles, poke, etc etc. Prices were reasonable. Expect to spend $10-20 per person including tax. They don't serve alcohol but the worker said we could BYOB. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll be back when I'm on that side. It's as good as, if not better than the super popular breakfast places in town and Kailua, like Eggs n Things, Moke's, Scratch, etc. I love that they have yummy breakfast choices but also have lunch offerings if you're odd like me and hate breakfast food. read more

Came here based on the good reviews and wanting to try new places on the island. The service was friendly & we were seated right away for breakfast. My husband ordered the country fried steak, I ordered the corn beef hash local mocal, and we ordered the walk in the country to share. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal, good portion size and the flavor was spot on for him. The walk in the country came with bananas foster french toast, strawberry waffle, and lillikoi pancakes. The waffles were perfectly crisp, and delicious. The French toast was good, but a little burnt on the bottom side making it hard to cut. The pancakes were delicious, and my husband really liked those, we didn't even need syrup for this dish the whipped cream and sweetness of the fruit was enough. Unfortunately I had to send my corned beef hash local mocal back. The gravy was soooo salty. I only had a few bites before my stomach started to hurt and I just couldn't eat it. They were kind enough to remove the dish from our bill, which I appreciated since I ate less than 3 bites of it. Overall, not my favorite spot, but not bad. The Country Fried Steak w/ sausage gravy and Lilikoi biscuits , Crab Cake Benedict (broke da mout ) & Veggie Omlette are a few of my faves. The atmosphere is great. Currently there is only outside seating available, which is pleasant, but I'd prefer inside in the A/C. The service was 5 stars from servers to cashier. Very helpful with a smile. The food was disappointing. I must have ordered the wrong dishes since this cafe has many stars. The garlic chicken were small dried nuggets. The adobo rice was dry and didn't taste fresh, and I can't remember the last dish. It was uneventful even when looking at the photos of food, I couldn't remember the 3rd dish. I hate to be negative because people there seem to work hard. The building looks run down on the outside but it does seem like an establishment many locals have fond memories of. I'm from town. Perhaps I will try it again when I am in Waianae. A drive from KANEOHE to the west side, after reading and hearing some good things about Countryside Cafe, I found myself a little disappointed with the food. Why? The food was just alright, and nothing but spectacular. The hash Moke was little over cooked for me, so chewy. The Kal-bi was just eh, okay and pricey. Not to mention while I was waiting for my food, the cook in the back was talking so loud that you could hear every word he was saying whether it was about a food order or a simple instruction to a co-worker. Nontheless upon ordering my food, no smile from the girl at the register. $30.00 for 2 plates, I thought this was pretty pricey! Ample parking available for patrons. Inside/outside dining available. I'm sure this place is probably packed on the weekends. I'm not sure if I'll be back, there might be other places to try. read more

Hubby got their local moco and said it was good - but I think he kept eyeballing mine ha! We sat outside, plenty of shade, nice breeze. Only issue was service. Breakfast all day? I'm there! After an early morning snorkel on the west side this spot is a must stop. Along with ono breakfast, they also offer lunch and pupus. Their top sellers are the Countryside steak and the Corn Beef Hash. Both come with eggs made to order and comes with rice potatoes or fried rice. The Countryside also comes with 2 Lilikoi biscuits - sooo good, it's like getting a bonus dessert. My friends also had their pork chops with mushroom, very delicious and generous portion and the burger with onion rings was perfect as well. The only dish that could use some improvement was the Turkey Pesto sliders with sprouts. The Hubby has been wanting to check this place out for awhile, being that it was a holiday and we both were off we decided to try it. We arrived around 1 pm and the place was empty besides 1 table. Our server was super friendly and helpful and she said we came at a good time because they were slammed earlier with a waiting list. The place is clean and you can dine inside or outside, the hubby made sure they had AC for me cause it was another sweltering hot Hawaiian day. We ordered the Corned Beef Local Moke-O $11.95, made with fresh corned beef on rice with 2 eggs and gravy, the gravy was different than a typical Loco Moco gravy, almost like a country gravy, lighter in color but it was still delicious. Also ordered the Maile Point Special $12.95 which was fried Saimin, kalbi, hibachi chicken, rice and your choice of tossed salad or Mac salad. And for our sort of dessert we wanted to try the "Walk in the Country" which was a delectable trio of yumminess! $10.95 it consisted of Banana Fosters French Toast, Lilikoi Pancakes and Strawberry Waffle. The french toast was sweet bread with the Banana Foster sauce and slices of bananas, lilikoi pancakes were light and fluffy with lilikoi sauce drizzled on top and the strawberry waffle was Belgian and crispy with strawberry sauce drizzled on top and whipped cream, they were all delicious! Portion sizes are generous and we definitely had leftovers. All in all a great first time experience for us! read more

I was worried at first when I saw the menu they gave us but the awesome waitress (Ajah) realized I was vegetarian when trying to order so she brought me their other menu! Thank you so much. Peaceful setting. Across the rd from.water. but not too close to rd. A bit cold inside so we ate outside on their pretty lanai. Very reasonably priced and good service too. Suggestion. Maybe put this memu on your website too (maybe it is and I didnt see it?) Also. Vegetarians, dont let the chicken symbol next to vegetarian dishes scare you... it says on the menu it's for gluten free but I was worried they used chicken product as a substatute..they do NOT put chicken in these items. My husband and I pass by this restaurant everyday and one day we decided to stop in for brunch after our work out. This is our first time here and we got sat right away. We choose to sit outside because inside looked very congested with clutter and guest whos currently eating. Every table but one was occupied by what it seems to be tourist. It's nice to know that this town has that type of traction. Anyways, we got sat, and two young server came by. One server gave us water, and another took our orders. We waited maybe 15 to 20 minutes for food. The food was just alright. Nothing special at all. It seems like someone made a hobby cooking at home and decided it's good enough to serve at a restaurant. My husband got the loco moco which was made with regular beef patty that wasn't homemade and with the country style gravy. It was so strange honestly. I got the country fried steak with fried rice and over easy eggs. The country steak was alright but the meat texture was weird like it was hamburger or over tenderized. I'm not really sure. And the country style gravy was exceptionally strange tasting. The best item on my dish was the toast with Lilikoi spread. Servers did not come back to refill our drinks and we wasn't offered coffee or anything else to drink. Two cups of water was left on our tables and we didn't see a server until we was ready to place our food order. Also we didn't get utensils. We had to chase down a server to get utensils. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The service was great and the ladies very friendly. Wonderful food! We stopped here for breakfast before a day at Ka'ena Beach. Honestly we talked about stopping again on the way home. Great variety of food, and some specialities. Three of us each got an egg-based dish and then shared what we affectionately call "table pancakes". Had the lilikoi and ube pancakes and they were both amazing. We loved what we ordered but also gawked at everyone else's food the whole time.
