Idk man the pho hasn't been up to par here lately. It's been lacking in flavor. Maybe being more generous w/the side veggies & adding some Chinese parsley & green onions to the soup might help. The garlic chili & of course the wafu steak is still on point though. Also, wiping the outside of the table condiments will help w/cleanliness. That is all!

We decided to eat at Saito & Pho II today. I had the oxtail pho. The broth was flavorful. However the oxtail was a bit tough so that was a disappointment. For the price of $20.00, not bad. My sister had the wafu steak which she enjoyed and my son had the miso butterfish. He loved it and ate it all. We also got the chicken wings for our starter. It comes with a sweet chili sauce which was very much needed. The chicken was fried perfectly though so that was a plus. A little salt and pepper would really help. I would suggest that they season the chicken. As for service, it was just okay. I feel that they could be a little more friendly to their customers. So overall, it wasn't the best but it wasn't bad either.

Visiting Waianae for the weekend, stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night. Most restaurants in Waianae are closed on Sunday, so we found ourselves here. Service was fast and friendly. Food (Pho and Chicken Katsu) were okay. Place is clean and was actually really busy with a steady stream of ppl coming in, mainly for pick-up orders. A/C was struggling and it was warn enough that I felt sweaty. It's the only Pho restaurant between Nanakuli and Makaha, so it's either here or drive into Kapolei.

Saito & Pho II is the closest restaurant to my home, and it's nothing short of amazing! I wish I had more pictures to share because the food is fantastic. My son absolutely loves the teriyaki chicken, while my wife and I specifically go there for the pho--it's delicious! The family atmosphere makes every visit special. Most of the time, we opt for takeout, but we also enjoy dining in occasionally. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough! Let's support our local businesses!

So, this hidden gem tucked away in Waiʻanae which I've eaten at many times before was always good. Haven't been here in a year. My recent experience was just okay and not as I remembered. I ordered Tonkatsu and it's not like I remembered it. The meat had more tendon than meat. It was rubbery and hard. The sashimi (pictured) was stringy AND not cut well. As if the knife wasn't sharpened and all the pieces were still connected. No joke, I lifted the first piece and the rest lifted too. The pieces of romaine lettuce I received with my spring roll order was like the 3rd layer to the inside of the heart. I couldn't even wrap my spring roll, vermicelli noodle and half pickled veggies properly. Then the tempura was overcooked. I had to leave it in the cold tempura sauce to soften it to eat it. And to think I ordered everything, side order so I'd have more of it. I wish I didn't and stuck to a Teishoku/Combo. Couldn't saved some money. I ended up boxing half of it and taking it home. In fact it's still in the fridge. I arrived hungry and left hungry. McDonald's fries and a Coke for the win. And the place was empty... don't think I'll be back for sometime, if even. However, the girls in the front were friendly and kept was water cup filled.

My grandma suggested coming here and I'm so glad we did. I love a bahn mi! So much flavor!! Not dry at all. Highly recommend if you are in town and love a good sandwich.

Exactly what we needed for a low key, non-resort lunch. Service was friendly and fast. The food is super fresh and tasty and mostly authentic. The place is very basic in decor, but it didn't matter for an easy lunch. Portions are big so bring your appetite!

This location is located in Kapolei Village Center near Gina's and Mattress Firm. The parking lot is tight (IYKYK) but there are plenty of stalls. We went around lunch time on a weekday and only had two other parties. The interior was smaller than we expected, but we didn't mind - I'm not sure how crowded it gets during a weekend or lunch/dinner rush. We ordered: Thai tea, summer rolls with shrimp, medium combo pho, and large chicken pho. The Thai tea is such a generous size with the amount that you pay and it's so refreshing especially to cool your mouth off when you ask for a side of jalapenos for your pho! The summer rolls were thick and fresh but the rice paper could have done a smidge longer soaked in the water. Chicken pho was good - some parts were a little dry but it was in the broth so it wasn't too bad. The combo pho (I ordered medium) was a perfect size for me but didn't have as much tripe or tendon as I wanted. The highlight for us was probably the broth. 95% of the time I love to add hoisin or garlic to my broth, but this is probably the first time I've never had to add anything else to it because it was SUPER flavorful and the perfect amount of sweet already. Our server did not necessarily keep coming up to ask if we were okay but we noticed him keep looking at us and visually checking. Overall, this place is 5/5 and definitely would come back. We love pho and we're so happy there's one super close to us. Thank you for the yummy food and good service!

The owner asked me to pick out my own coconut out of the cooler that was filled with ice cold water. I obviously went for the largest one and then she asked " do you want more water or more meat in your coconut?" I wanted more coconut water than the pulp "meat" so she suggested that I grab a younger coconut "smaller" one. She explained that the bigger /older The coconut is, the less water it has but the more "meat" it contains. I went ahead and opted for a younger one and this thing was FULL of water. She grabbed a huge machete style knife and went to work on it.. it was a bit scary seeing the danger that these small businesses owners go through in opening these things to please us tourists. She was amazing at it. I do need to note the following. My husband does not like the taste of coconut, because obviously we are used to a certain taste which is what we are taught to believe coconuts taste like... but her loved this one! young fresh coconuts do not taste like anything "mainstream coconut flavor". It is a refreshing soft, delicate flesh which has a soft set jelly type of texture. It is slightly watery and you will taste the coconut water in it, think of Chinese jelly with very little sugar, almost buttery and melty. The water itself is very refreshing with a very little hint of flavor. We both really enjoyed our island fresh coconut experience and highly recommend you buy at least one!
