Delicious, artery-clogging goodness. Food is consistently tasty. They have a variety of BBQ sauces that compliment the smoked meats well.

Ordered medium result is rare. Outside char burnt.

At least they're consistent. Out of the Prime Rib at dinner time. Why am I not surprised? Let's also add they are out of Baby Back Ribs and Burnt Ends. Confused how the management is struggling so hard. Take the sign down if you don't have it.

I probably have visited County Grill over a dozen times. It's a 5 out of 5 stars each time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is clean and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Their takeout is quick and easy. I've called ahead and picked up my order and I've also ordered takeout at the bar. Each time the food is made to order, hot, and delicious. My favorite items are the pulled chicken, baked beans and, of course, the cornbread! I enjoy other items as well. My boyfriend has had their pulled pork, meatloaf, and various sides as well. I haven't had a bad experience yet and it's probably been over 2 years that I have been patronizing here. Please go try it out!

We had the county grill cater our wedding so it was only right to come back for our anniversary years later! We still LOVE the food. Our waitress was so kind. We each got a draft beer & enjoyed them. The cornbread muffins and honey butter are to diiieee for! But hands down my favorite thing is the house made pickles! The bbq and all the sauces are delicious. I wasn't too big a fan of the sausage. The Mac and cheese and French fries are also perfection. Overall I haven't found a bad choice here, definitely grab some food if you're in the area or for your next party!

I came here awhile back and it left a lot to be desired. The food was only OK. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables and menu were a bit sticky and there were flies buzzing around all over the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restrooms were hard to find and get to, and were not in the best condition, which is a surefire way of discerning the cleanliness of the kitchen as well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I probably wouldn't go back by choice.

Great place to bring the team for outstanding BBQ! Deangelo 'Dee' took exceptional care of us. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service and food was excellent. I had the smoked wings. I'm very particular about my wings and these were juicy and full of flavor! When I turn into a mess (I did), then they gotta be good! Colleagues had the Mississippi Peacemaker stuffed bbq shrimp skewers and another had a half-rack of ribs. Those were yooge and meaty. But everything was tasty and perfectly prepared. The sides are delish as well and no matter what you pick, they perfectly complement the meal. The beers selection is a solid too. This is a great place for friends and family! Thanks for another great experience Dee!

Worst Experience Ever - Table 201 on June 8, 2025 Today, June 8, 2025, at 6:07 PM, I dined at Country Grill & Smokehouse at 1215 George Washington Memorial Highway, seated at Table 201. We ordered two BBQ meatloaf meals with two sides each, one root beer, one Sprite, and two house salads. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, the entire meal was ruined by a disgusting fly problem. I felt like I was back in Iraq--constantly swatting flies away from our food. I personally killed four flies during the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It got so bad that we couldn't enjoy anything and had to ask the waitress for to-go trays. She brought them over, and I asked to speak with the manager. When he arrived, he didn't introduce himself, didn't apologize, and offered no real solution. All he said was, "I'll have to get some fly traps." That's it. Nothing about our ruined meal. No apology. No offer to make it right. At that point, we were done. We left the food, paid the bill, and even left a tip--but the experience was sickening. I rate this visit 0 out of 5. The manager clearly needs serious customer service training, and the restaurant needs urgent pest control. Absolutely unacceptable.

Food was decent but kind of cold. The server was friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the over all vibe was typical BBQ.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Overall... not very good. From the food to the service. Greeted and seated quickly, great. Sat at the bar since it was only thing available at the time. Then several tables/booths opened, I asked the bartender could I move to one. For some reason she wasn't sure o_O, odd. So I just stayed at this oddly made bar that's makes it hard to eat your food by way it dips down. Anywho... moving on to the order. I got the pick 3 for $30. Chose ribs, chicken wings and 1/2 chicken. In about 60 seconds I asked to change one of my meats to the smoke sausage. But same bartender stated that they said it was "too late"... hmm, okay. Also I ordered a sweet tea, took about 15 mins to arrive. She brought me some cornbread muffins to eat while I wait for my food, but nothing to drink. As you know with eating cornbread, I would choke trying to eat with no beverage lol. So I waited u til my drink finally came before I tried them. By now they're cold, but still delicious. (The best part of the meal) Food arrives... everything "looks good". My ribs were super dark, which means they were gonna be tough to chew... and yep, I took a bite and they were tough. Sighs Chicken wings were decent. Skin wasn't quite as crispy as I like, so when you bite the skin kinda slides off. But that's a personal thing that I prefer so not their fault. 1/2 chicken was good. Baked beans and "warm" potato salad as my two sides. I'm visiting Virginia, so warm potato salad must be a Virginia thing. I always had it cold But neither were very good. I took 3 bites and moved both to the side. Ordered the banana pudding to go. Got back to my hotel to eat it.... Not good. I tossed it. Waste of $8 for that but oh well. Literally the best part was was the cornbread muffins, they were delicious with the butter. Onto the service: Wasn't very good. I sat there with an empty cup for about 10-15 mins, with her walking by me several times without ever asking or paying attention. I'm literally sitting right where she's making everyone's drink... she has no choice but to see me. I purposely waited to see how long she would ever ask if I needed something again.. I got to 15 mins and finally just asked for a sweet tea and a to go box. Wouldn't come here again. Not horrible ... but not good. 2/5

Each bite had a nice mix of smoky and tangy. The buffalo wings came out hot with a crisp outer layer that held onto the sauce really well. The heat level was just right -- enough to notice, but still easy to enjoy without reaching for water every second. You could tell they were made fresh, not sitting around. What stood out was the consistency between both items. Nothing felt rushed or thrown together. The setup itself is simple, but the focus is clearly on getting the food right. This was a deal-breaker almost, 'cause we really wanted to do the ribs, and there was no indication that some items might not be available. The food and appetizers came out at the same time, so our table was loaded, and we could not eat fast enough before it got cold. I shared my displeasure with my server, but she just gave me the "deer in the headlights." look. The drinks were weak and expensive. There are a few arcade games and plenty of space. Service is ok, but not great. The food was ok; some items were dry. The fries were hot, and nothing special about the service. Cool place to hang out, watch games, and drink beer, but it's just ok. If they had they would have heard about missing beer menus, dirty/greasy salt grinders, dead flies littering the window sills next to the tables, slow and disinterested service and a seeming lack of interest of the staff in anything but chatting with each other. County Grill in Yorktown has always been one of our go-to restaurants but unfortunately is fell very short today. We got in early, before the afternoon rush, around 3:45 pm. We were seated quickly in a booth along the front windows and our waitress came over and got us started with cornbread muffins and took our drink order. I did ask for the paper beer list that they always have due to their extensive taps but none were available, a first for me. Neither our waitress or the hostess could explain why they didn't have the normal beer list. I ordered a beer and when asked if I also wanted water like my wife, I said yes. My wife's water showed up almost immediately, mine must have been forgotten but thankfully my beer showed up a short time later. We ordered our dinner, a brisket platter with coleslaw and baked beans and my wife ordered pulled pork. We were one of only two tables in the entire main dining room when we ordered and throughout our meal but waited a surprisingly long time for our food to arrive. When it did arrive, the food looked, smelled and tasted great. The brisket I received was from the tail end of the brisket and was very thin compared to slices from the other end of the brisket I've usually received. I still received the same exact number of smaller slices I usually receive from the bigger end. Not all brisket slices are created equal and today's fell short. My wife used the salt grinder on the table and it was dirty and greasy to the point she had to excuse herself to go wash her hands. While she was gone I noticed the collection of dead flies on the window sill along our booth. Things were just dirty, makes you wonder about cleanliness in areas you can't see as a customer. Although there were a lot of staff in the kitchen and in front of the kitchen none seemed interested in anything but chatting with each other. The exception to that would be our waitress who was very interested in talking to the one other occupied table in the dining room. We had finished dinner and were waiting to pay our bill and get a to-go box for some of the coleslaw. Our waitress was deeply involved in a conversation with the other table and we waited an extended period of time. The multitude of other servers in front of the kitchen had no interest in breaking free to see if we needed anything. Finally our waitress made it back over to our table with the electronic payment machine out, handed it off to me and headed off to find a to-go container, even that seemed to take longer than it should have. Maybe Q-Daddy's is worth a try, maybe they still care and want to prove they want your business and not just ride on prior reputation.

I looked at the reviews and knew I had to give it a try. When we arrived, my wife and I were quickly seated by the Host. And then we waited. And waited. About 10 min later, I told the Host that we had not seen a waitress yet. He was apologetic and promised to find them for us. A few minutes later, the Waiter showed up and took our orders. I fully planned to order the beef ribs, but the cost of $38 was so far outside the norm that I just couldn't do it. (They actually have a sampler platter that costs $66!!) I ended up ordering the half BBQ chicken, BBQ beans and potato salad. My wife ordered the pulled pork platter, sweet potato fries and Mac & Cheese. Both orders came out quickly, but the first thing I noticed about my dinner was that I was having to 'saw' my chicken to eat it. Most BBQ chicken I have ordered at other restaurants is tender to falling apart. But this one definitely fought back, and though the flavor was not bad, I kept having to add the table-side BBQ sauce (which was good) to flavor it. The beans were nothing special- they were BBQ beans. Frankly the best part of my order was the potato salad which was quite good - a bit more mayonnaisey than normal potato salad, but I found that I actually liked that aspect of it. A couple of times during the meal, the waiter stopped by to see if we needed anything which was good to see. My wife said her pulled pork was okay but also needed supplemental BBQ sauce. She said the Mac and cheese was good, but that the sweet potato fries were overcooked. She ended up not eating them which is very unusual for her. Towards the end of the meal, I ran out of tea and started looking for the waiter. When he did show up, I asked for a refill. He disappeared for an interminable amount of time and then finally returned with our bill. I was still sitting there with an unfinished meal and an empty glass, and still had to remind him that I still needed a refill, and had been waiting for it for a while. He admitted that he had forgotten it, but then actually sat down next to us, seeming to have problems entering our bill in their handheld 'point of sale' device. I asked him again if he could get my drink first. He finally handed me the device to pay the bill and dashed off. He was gone a while again, with me still waiting on my drink. I finally just gave up finishing the meal without something to wash it down with. The Waiter finally came back with a 'tea to go' for me. Though I had planned to order desert for the two of us, we just paid the bill and left, checking off one more restaurant that does not understand that they are in the food AND customer service business. So again, someone tell me why everyone is giving this restaurant 5-stars.

I found this place in yelp and wanted to give it a try. It's in a small strip mall and at first we were afraid they weren't there anymore because there isn't a marquee sign above the restaurant but there is a large smoker truck that looks like it's used for catering that helped us find it. The parking lot was full which blocked the signage on the doors/windows. The inside has a few small tables and a counter to the right to order from with the kitchen behind. There was a few chairs across from the counter to wait for to go orders. You choose your own table after ordering. The owner was personable and chatting an older gentleman that had been there awhile. We later realized he was the owner when he came out to see how our food was. The ribs fell off the bone and the baked beans had ground beef and some peppers. They were delicious and had such good flavor. Rolls were served with the meals. The portions were large and we took home our leftovers. I was a little surprised that our food was served in to go containers even though we asked to dine in. You pick up your own plasticware at the counter where you pick up your order. While it's not a typical sit down place with table service or bar drinks, the food was really good and hot. We'll definitely go again. Also love that it's veteran owned and he's present and cares about the service provided. The two sauces are also very good, I prefer the sweeter red bbq sauce and the other one is more of a vinegar North Carolina sauce. The Christmas beans are amazing!!! My favorite!!! The potato salad is also very good and the Mac and cheese. Love their pickles as well! You order at the counter and it didn't take long for the food to be ready. Seating is plenty inside the brewery!
