Highly recommend! I wanted to buy a Stihl chainsaw (my unreliable Craftsman wouldn't start) - found that County Line Hardware was a dealer and drove over - nicest guy (Vinny) took the time to go over the chainsaws he had in stock and what he recommended and why - he got me all set with the online warranty and then took my new chainsaw in the back and added the bar oil and gas (50:1). He then walked outside with me and went through all of the options on the chainsaw and started her up - amazing service you don't get a Home Depot or Lowes or least of all Amazon. County Line is an old school hardware store that we miss now that Home Depot has put most of the places, unfortunately, out of business. There are always a bunch of people working by the counter who are very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help you find whatever you need without just pointing at the aisle. You forget what good service is at these places since there are so few left. Their prices are good, probably slightly higher than HD, but you'll spend alot less time looking for thing. If you need tools, garbage cans, fertilizer, lights etc...definitely go here. The great service makes it worthwhile and you're helping support a local business. read more

Whenever I'm at County Line Hardware, and have a question, the guys there always seem to be able to sense it and come over to ask if I need any help. It's not like Home Depot or Lowes where you have to chase employees up and down the aisles only to find out, "It's not my department". They always have the answers no matter how long it takes. This store is great! You never have to stand around waiting for help and they are very knowledgeable. I bought a concrete tile extension for my water meter pit and they had it in stock within a few days. They also loaded it into my car without my having to ask. Try getting one of those at a big box store. They also do screen repairs and the prices are very reasonable and a lot cheaper than having to buy a new one if you can even find a replacement. The store is a few miles away from me, but it's well worth the trip and I'll gladly go out of my way for the outstanding service, knowledge and selection. read more

I am a female 76 years of age. I love this hardware store as it has everything that I need for my various "fix it" jobs and supplies. The staff bend over backwards to help me every time I enter the store. They are friendly and knowledgeable about all sorts of things. I have purchased their Stihl chain saw and leaf blower which they will also repair if need be. Several women my age also shop here and love it. I prefer this store to places like Home Depot and Lowes as they overwhelm me. As a regular customer, you get to know the personnel and vice versa. I love this place. If you've ever spent 20 minutes at the HD trying to get someone, anyone to help you then County Line is the hardware store for you. These guys believe in service! You will usually be asked if you need help with anything before the door even closes behind you. They are my go to store anytime, give em a shot! Post Irene update, the good folks at County Line we literally saviours of the community. Among other items a constant stock of "D" cell batteries on both Friday and Saturday when everyone else was out. Even still saw a $199 chainsaw on their shelf on Sat PM. These guys kept their sense of humor, and helped everyone out as best as they could. Great job you guys! read more

I have found THE BEST hardware store ever! Today I told them that they now have a customer for life! The store was recommended to me by someone and I brought a very difficult 'project' for their advise and solution. I was in a pickle. The moment I stepped into the store folks were asking me if they can help me in any way. Mike was the first gentleman that 'took a shot' at solving the problem. We were not having luck. He then called over VInny who is one of the owners of the store. He probably spent close to an hour with me, not only figuring out a solution but custom cutting parts in the machine shop in the back. They custom made the part for me! When the job was competed and I was told the price, I wanted to give them more money then I was charged. This store is excellent. If you are tired of the Home Depots of the world or the local hardware stores where workers don't really know what they are doing, go to County Line Hardware. You will not be sorry. read more
