I was torn on how to rate this hotel. We stayed here over the weekend and it was mostly empty due to COVID-19. It looks like most of the staff was let go. All weekend we saw Maher Aldawwdi the "Operations Manager" for the hotel. He checked us in and WAS NOT WEARING A MASK!!! In fact we saw him all 3 days and he never wore one. When we checked in he should have told us there is no housekeeping (they come to clean rooms after you checkout only) restaurant is closed, and pool and fitness center are also closed. When housekeeping never came, I used the Marriott app to request service. They still did not come. I used the app to respond and ask for towels and again no response. Internet in the hotel is poor (even with it mostly empty) and the "enhanced" internet you pay for was not available. Maher Aldawwdi, WEAR A FREAKING MASK!!!

I visited Austin recently for work - and the usual list of hotels I attempted to stay in - were all booked - so I tried this one out for the first time. Checked in - no fuss, no muss, and made my way to my room. AC worked well - which was good, as it was very humid outside. The room itself was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, I got a good nights sleep. The room had a mini-fridge for keeping drinks cold. My only dings on this hotel was the HD TV service did not work well. One night, I was trying to watch the HGTV HD channel - and the signal kept going out. Super annoying. The in-room WiFi internet was a tad slow at times. Staff and service at this hotel was good! #CourtyardAustinNorthParmerLane

Was on a company trip and stayed at this location, right off 35 it was a convenient location for my stay. Area was lit and seemed very pleasant. Staff was nice and accommodating. The one thing that sucked was the ac unit was kind of loud. But I dealt with it it was just one night. They do have breakfast at this location wish is always helpful for good so that you don't spend unless you want to. Austin does have many breakfast tacos options.

Super surprised. I travel a lot. Room was dirty, carpet not vacuumed, and the front desk person did not seem concerned. They said I could switch rooms tomorrow. Upon my request they dropped off cleaner so I could clean the room myself, without apology. Handed it to me and walked away. Feels much more like a motel 6 than a Marriott. Since I arrived from a late flight just before midnight it looks like I will be staying for the night. In "Covid" times this seems really bad and sends a loud "we don't care about you" message. So many great reviews for this place I'm not sure what the deal is. Maybe I just got "lucky" LOL

Decent place with great staff. Room was really clean. Breakfast was pretty good for a large group buffet style. No complaints at all!

This place is kind of a dump. Got into my room and window was open, all screens were ripped off and thrown out side on the roof. There were also vodka bottles cigarettes clothes and all kind of stuff right outside for a pretty view. I knew austin had a homeless problem but I didn't think they lived on our balcony. Don't waste a dollar here. Went down to get coffee Saturday morning....one of the busiest times....their response."oh we don't open coffee bar on weekends" how is that even normal?

BF and I were on our way down to ACL this past weekend with no hotel in store for Friday night. We knew we would find the best luck with the 'burbs, so as we pulled into Round Rock, Pflugerville, etc we started scouting for a hotel off 35. After several pull offs and on's back on the highway because we missed what we were looking for, we saw this Courtyard. "Honey! Exit! Exit now!" as I screamed at him. I was immediately impressed with the well-lit parking lot and clean exterior - I could tell the building was relatively new. The friendly and helpful front desk clerk got us in a room for $109...sweet deal. In fact, I almost wish we would have canceled our Sat night room downtown and just stayed here. The room was VERY clean and well laid-out, complete with a walk-in glass shower! That sold me right there. The bed was pretty comfortable and the linens were soft and fresh. The next morning we went downstairs to eat in their new "reimagined" lobby -- they had a quick breakfast/sandwich counter complete with Starbucks coffee. I had a yogurt/granola parfait and latte, and BF had a fresh-made egg and ham sammich on ciabatta with breakfast potatoes. Not bad for a quick breakfast! I had trouble printing our ACL tickets on the lobby computer, so the front desk girl offered up her personal deskspace and PC in the back office for me to use. I was shocked! I can't imagine another hotel just letting you wonder around in the back by yourself to try and print out some tickets. We will most DEFINITELY stay here again. In fact, I'm considering emailing corporate and applauding the staff and cleanliness of the hotel...it was just that awesome.

Spend less time doing this and more time inspecting the room for things that don't belong.

We got off the elevator on the 7th floor and it smelled like mold, like muggy nasty bacteria and funk. We shrugged and continued down the long corridor to our room at the very end of the hall. The room smelled even worse, the windows don't open, and it was so dark and old looking. The sink was separate from the toilet and shower. The bathroom was so small I almost couldn't close the door (I'm 5ft tall). I opened the door, turned the air on full blast and turned on the vent in the bathroom. It only helped for that moment. The smell of sewage was emerging from somewhere in the bathroom. The room was right next to the freeway and it sounded like we were standing in front of traffic. No double pane windows to block the noise? We called down and asked for another room. The next room had a larger bathroom, but the ventilation still sucked. It was an adjoining room and I could hear the people next door very clearly. I travel pretty frequently and have never had a problem with hearing people through adjoining doors. I found a dirty hair tie sitting in the middle of the floor. Housekeeping starts early and they don't care if you're still sleeping. They yell to each other from room to room and bang their vacuums up against your door. Every morning I could hear them talking, yelling, moving around. This is also something I haven't experienced before in my travels. The front desk was very nice, but unfortunately that doesn't carry through my experience here. The hotel is near some garbage restaurants, but other than that you'll definitely need a car to get around. A couple of miles to anything decent and about 6mi to downtown. I overheard several different groups of people waiting for a taxi between 30-50mins. Parking and wifi are complimentary.

I came down from Houston with my family for Memorial Day weekend. This hotel was right across the bridge from where my brother lives. It was less than ten miles. We should have looked around before stepping foot in this place. Once you pay for your rooms, don't expect a complimentary breakfast on the side. There is an area called the Market to buy snacks on the left side before you get to the front desk. There is no complimentary breakfast or anything worth a free meal here. It is a bistro on the right side when you enter towards the front. The desk personnel will tell you the time when it opens.. so you could assume.. everything at the bistro has a price to it. The only free thing here was complimentary water and coffee from Starbucks. The inside was beautiful. It had a laid out concept. It looked different from a plain hotel. There is a business area. The rooms were nice looking too. But the beds were hard, not soft. You expect to pay for a hotel and get soft beds.. yeah right. Also you expect to pay for a night stay with a complimentary breakfast too.. well this is not the place. This hotel is all around money filled. My family will not be back!

The property reminds me of something that you would see in a movie somewhere in the southwest where people are just trying to hide out and not be found. It has such a cute rustic feel, with a lot of Texas flair. From the minute you arrive, you are given great service, greeted with amazing sense of essential oil, oils and leather with their signature fragrance in the form of a candle or room spray. For just $30 we were able to check in early at 1 o'clock instead of three which was great since I drove in town and had a lunch reservation, this gave us time to get unpacked and rest for a minute before heading over to the restaurant. They have lots of options in the mini bar, whether you are wanting an adult drink or just something cold and fizzy. When we arrived, they did give us a complementary bottle of water as well as a cold beer that I sat out on our little porch and enjoyed as the rain started to come down. I love all of the detail put into these rooms, it is such an amazing property, but I'll be honest there were way more kids than I expected, but it was Easter weekend so I guess a lot of families were traveling. I really wanted to get into the pool, but it was massively crowded. They have an outdoor bar as well as a café on the property that has live music and an enormous fireplace and plenty of big screen TVs to watch sports. Every evening they light up the fire pits and if you want to make s'mores, you can purchase a s'mores kit for just $10. They do not allow smoking in the rooms but allow you to smoke on the little patio outside your door. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stay in Austin, which is difficult because there are so many amazing places in Austin, but Lone Star has definitely stepped into my top five. The young man that checked us in was great and he comped our valet parking! Truly phenomenal service. I'm looking forward to coming back!

This boutique hotel delivers a resort-inspired experience with an upscale twist and is known for its vintage charm with modern amenities. I arrived on Friday night and check-in was efficient, I had to provide my credit card for incidentals. I was given a choice of beer or bottled water upon check-in. The host directed me to my room location. There were several parking lots on the property and I was able to park close to the building with my room which was convenient. The provided a parking permit for complementary parking. The rooms offer a seamless blend of modern comfort and relaxed luxury and well-designed with a very open floor plan with a farmhouse door separating the restroom from the bedroom area. I was on the third floor. Each room had rocking chairs out front for a relaxing vibe. I especially appreciated how easy it was to step right outside and be in a communal space. it made connecting with others throughout the weekend effortless. One of the highlights was the courtyard area. Whether it was live music, lounging by the pool, or just gathering around in the evenings, the atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. It struck a nice balance between fun and laid-back. They had many communal areas set up with fire pits and a nice outdoor communal bar area where we held our silent disco. They also had a great event space where they hosted our group. The Water Trough bar and restaurant provided a breakfast and dinner dining experience. They also had an indoor bar area with live music for entertainment. Only issue was they did run out of food at dinner. The location in the Domain is also a positive. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, so there was always something to do between retreat activities. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the social atmosphere can get a bit noisy at times, especially if you're looking for a quiet stay. But for a group event or weekend getaway, it actually adds to the charm. We contributed to the noise with our outdoor kareoke set-up. Overall, Lone Star Court is a great choice if you're looking for something comfortable, stylish, and built for connection. Perfect for group retreats or anyone wanting a more lively, communal hotel experience.

If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? Loved the variety of room, didn't love the wait time that counted against your total time if you weren't in a room. Not sure how it would be possibly, but having your minutes tick away while you waited for the groups in front of you to finish with a room was irritating. Our family of five did have a boatload of fun though at 8, 11, 14 and 42. Lots of skills levels so it was good to be able to pick a variety of games. Note to anyone with shorter kids - maybe skip the basketball room as our 8 year old took a rebounding ball right to the face because he was the perfect height. Also, sometimes the rooms don't work. We wasted time in one room because it stopped working and we didn't know. It let us do two full rounds with literally nothing happening. They do fix them fairly quickly, but your time is gone already and you don't get it back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This would be great on a weekday where I assume the crowds are smaller. Would do again - we all came out sweaty and smiling.

It was so easy, we had someone who helped run the party super smooth and was ahead of us on everything including cake and clean up. All of the kids had a total blast!!! The best part was no one in our group had ever been there and that's what my little wanted. She wanted a birthday party place she has never been to a party before and we sure found it. The kids favorite parts were the hologram game rooms after the walkthrough experience and of course the arcade. The loved the walk through part but many got "bored" during the 3rd pass through but most of the other kids were really still enjoying it. So many parents were like how did you find this place? Hoping many more people do to keep it alive. Oooo and coolest part was the super imposed the birthday girl into the 3-D display by the party tables. That was a huge hit!!! The venue is built in the open warehouse-like area with short sectioned areas. So the arcade is one of the first things you see, then two of the VR games areas, with the rooms in the back and the zoo to the side. We opted to do the dinosaur zoo tour, which was actually pretty cool. Remember, this is a holographic concept so don't expect AI quality graphics. The zoo consists of you going through a walking circular maze which is divided into 3 sections. So after 1 section, you round the corner to the next and then have to wait for the screen to count down telling you to go into the next section (mainly so you don't interrupt the group in front of you). Wait times vary from 80 secs to 10 secs which weren't too bad. We definitely all agreed that we liked the dinosaur zoo. After, we had to wait about 8-10 min before we could get into our room bc the main guy was helping set up the VR people. So the kid sent us to the Photo Booth area which prompted you through multiple photo scenes and how to pose for them, as well as short video shots (think running away from T-Rex). Very cute photo concept and definitely a great opportunity to capture a fun photo. We of course stuck with the Dino theme for our photos but you had about 5-6 themes. Skip the private holographic room. It was only a half room and you have to swap glasses with each other to complete tasks. The kids were immediately bored with this and the experience wasn't great for the adults either. Before leaving, we opted to buy the kids some gaming credits. They offer a variety of options ($10=40 credits, $20=90, etc.) and the games vary in credit costs between 3-6 credits for arcade games and up to 8 credits for the claw games. Definitley more expensive than other local arcade places so would def skip this too. We didn't do the VR but I'm also glad we didn't. We (the adults) have done a VR experience (around the Domain) and they had theirs set up into sectioned off rooms for more privacy. Zoocade's VR rooms are out in the open and feel less private. I imagine they can definitely get distracting with all the noise from the zoo tour videos and the arcade area. Spending over $150 for this experience was not worth it and was more disappointing than exciting. If you're going to try it out, then I'd recommend only doing the zoo portion (dinosaur or under the sea). Really, really wanted to like this place but unfortunately, it didn't live up to our kids, or our expectations.
