For $118 a night for one trip and $159 another time, makes this a very affordable option. * The free EV charging. They have several chargers located near the front. . * The hot breakfast. It's not a glamorous buffet, but it's good enough for a free complimentary breakfast. * Relatively clean and modern hotel room. That was spacious and offers decent amenities for live-in situations. Things I didn't like: * The lack of quality service: service desk folks aren't the most friendly and they they are limited in what they can do. * The pool is filthy. There are dead bugs, cigarette butts, etc. just floating around the pool. The space around for lounging was fine but the uncleanliness was a huge turn off. * EV Chargers were often occupied. By non EV vehicles. * Gym wasn't the most well maintained. We're talking sweaty seats, sticky handles, and slightly disorganized equipment. Would I stay again? All things considered, most likely. I can avoid the gym, pool, and people and I figure I can focus on what they do best.

The check-in process was smooth, and valet brought your cars around with a simple text 24 hours a day. The location is basically on the UT campus so be aware that there is a lot of pedestrian activity. The good thing about that is - there is ton of walk ability for food and late night snacks. KD was thorough in explaining the area and amenities to us. He was the epitome of high customer service. Our 2 queen size room was clean and well decorated. We stayed for two nights from Friday to Sunday and had a peaceful stay. It was quite quick to catch an elevator while we were coming and go. Plus, the roof top pool was a comfortable place to relax in the mornings. If you get the $30 per day food/dining credit, please do yourself a favor and use it - they serve lovely refreshments. Each room comes with a record player and there is a vast vinyl collection you can borrow to use in your room during your stay for free. They also included a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate truffles in our room for my friend's birthday.

My room was excellent. Very spacious. Excellent little kitchenette, stocked with the basics. While I didn't cook anything, I did reheat some food in the microwave and use the plates and flatware provided, as well as some drinkware. All was clean ready for use. The bar area doubles as your workspace, and thankfully, even though it was a high-chair, it was very comfortable to work in. The beds were super comfy. I slept like a rock. I was 7 floors up and not disturbed by any noise from nearby venues and clubs as others complained of in their reviews. I would stay here again.

The property reminds me of something that you would see in a movie somewhere in the southwest where people are just trying to hide out and not be found. It has such a cute rustic feel, with a lot of Texas flair. From the minute you arrive, you are given great service, greeted with amazing sense of essential oil, oils and leather with their signature fragrance in the form of a candle or room spray. For just $30 we were able to check in early at 1 o'clock instead of three which was great since I drove in town and had a lunch reservation, this gave us time to get unpacked and rest for a minute before heading over to the restaurant. They have lots of options in the mini bar, whether you are wanting an adult drink or just something cold and fizzy. When we arrived, they did give us a complementary bottle of water as well as a cold beer that I sat out on our little porch and enjoyed as the rain started to come down. I love all of the detail put into these rooms, it is such an amazing property, but I'll be honest there were way more kids than I expected, but it was Easter weekend so I guess a lot of families were traveling. I really wanted to get into the pool, but it was massively crowded. They have an outdoor bar as well as a café on the property that has live music and an enormous fireplace and plenty of big screen TVs to watch sports. Every evening they light up the fire pits and if you want to make s'mores, you can purchase a s'mores kit for just $10. They do not allow smoking in the rooms but allow you to smoke on the little patio outside your door. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stay in Austin, which is difficult because there are so many amazing places in Austin, but Lone Star has definitely stepped into my top five. The young man that checked us in was great and he comped our valet parking! Truly phenomenal service. I'm looking forward to coming back!

The host directed me to my room location. There were several parking lots on the property and I was able to park close to the building with my room which was convenient. The provided a parking permit for complementary parking. The rooms offer a seamless blend of modern comfort and relaxed luxury and well-designed with a very open floor plan with a farmhouse door separating the restroom from the bedroom area. I was on the third floor. Each room had rocking chairs out front for a relaxing vibe. I especially appreciated how easy it was to step right outside and be in a communal space. it made connecting with others throughout the weekend effortless. One of the highlights was the courtyard area. Whether it was live music, lounging by the pool, or just gathering around in the evenings, the atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. It struck a nice balance between fun and laid-back. They had many communal areas set up with fire pits and a nice outdoor communal bar area where we held our silent disco. They also had a great event space where they hosted our group. The Water Trough bar and restaurant provided a breakfast and dinner dining experience. They also had an indoor bar area with live music for entertainment. Only issue was they did run out of food at dinner. The location in the Domain is also a positive. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, so there was always something to do between retreat activities. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the social atmosphere can get a bit noisy at times, especially if you're looking for a quiet stay. But for a group event or weekend getaway, it actually adds to the charm. We contributed to the noise with our outdoor kareoke set-up. Small parking lot so check in park and uber to places you need to go saying this as when we woke up Saturday morning there were cars parked crazy by the entrance and the exist. Lot is too small. We got here on a Friday around 4pm checked in and asked for complimentary bottle water and we were told there was water in the room, not really true as there was 2 bottle to use for the coffee. We then noticed a couple of employees were handing out free popsicles which was nice as it was extremely hot in Austin YX that Friday and no FREE water at check in. The room is basic with a bathroom with a walk in shower and toilet. It also has a separate sink area which makes getting dressed nice. No closet just a hanging area. We had a room with a king size bed which had a nice corner table to sit and have snacks at. Nice large TV on a swivel to face bed or table area. Our room did face the highway which did get loud when the A/C was not on. The A/C did a great job of cooling the room down at night which made sleeping easier. Downstairs there is a large bar area with a pool table and lots of places to sit and chill. Breakfast in the morning is ordering food that they warm up/microwave and sell to you(big pass for me). They did have free coffee while it lasted. It's a nice sample hotel.

Very disappointing stay, not the experience I expect from a Marriott property…read more I stayed at the Aloft Austin for a work trip and unfortunately had multiple issues throughout my stay. When I checked in, the lobby was extremely warm. I noticed the thermostat was set to 80 degrees, which felt absurd for Texas this time of year. The lobby should be comfortable for guests, especially when arriving after traveling. The next morning, while getting ready for work, I discovered tons of ants in the restroom. I tried calling the front desk, but no one answered. Since I was on a tight schedule for a work meeting, I went downstairs when I needed to leave. I was told I could change rooms, which I didn't have time to do, or maintenance could check the issue when they came in at 10 a.m. It was around 8 a.m. at the time. I found it very concerning that maintenance apparently wasn't available earlier. What if a guest had a more serious maintenance issue that couldn't wait until 10 a.m.? That evening when I returned, it also appeared that someone was being kicked out of the hotel in the lobby, which was another uncomfortable aspect of the stay. The following morning, I woke up to more ants in the restroom and a toilet that would not flush. This was the morning I was checking out, so I informed the front desk again. Not even an apology was offered. I was simply told that maintenance would go check it. The biggest disappointment wasn't just the issues themselves, but the lack of urgency and customer service in addressing them. I understand that things can go wrong, but I expect a hotel, especially one under the Marriott brand, to acknowledge the problem, apologize, and make an effort to resolve it promptly. Between the ants, a non-functioning toilet, an uncomfortably warm lobby, difficulty reaching the front desk, and the lack of response from staff, this was a very disappointing stay. I would expect much better from a Marriott property.

There were so many hits & misses over our 4-night stay…read more Pictures from the "Business Owner" are pretty accurate- slightly enhanced, but overall pretty fair. Based on reviews we called ahead and asked for a room facing away from Rainey as noise is an issue. We were told rooms had been improved and noise was no longer an issue. We were also told: rooms with 2 Queens all face Rainey; you need to request a "king" if you do not want a room facing Rainey. Upon arrival, our check-in was unimpressive. Had delayed flights, so late arrival and agent was so impersonal. This was by far the coldest check-in ever experienced. There was nothing but an ask for credit card and keys given, regardless of "Titanium" status. We were given a standard (2) queen room facing Rainey Street. Wed & Thurs night were tolerable (we were on the 11th floor); Fri/Sat expect to hear music beats deep into the night (they do provide earplugs but they're pretty useless). If you're here to celebrate, the hotel should work for you. Otherwise, beware that noise continues to be an issue on the Rainey side. Our tv stopped working midway through our stay. Called early in the am - no one available to take the call; please leave a message. Left a message and returned later in the day (4/5'ish). TV not fixed; called again, and was told an engineer would be on his way; waited 90 minutes before calling again - was told the engineer went home and a manager would be contacted. Never heard from anyone again. Unbelievable. All I want is decent customer service - not exceptional service, just good customer service. This property failed in so many ways. However, housekeeping did impress. It's not daily; every other- just a nice cleanup; well done housekeeping!
