Air Conditioning was broken for the entire duration of my 6 day stay they did nothing to compensate my room was 80 degrees and humid, it was so humid in the room the bed felt damp.

This hotel did a great job! I felt very safe, everything looked clean, everyone was masked. Our room was spacious and comfy and that bed was perfect! The bathroom was laughingly small but the shower head more than made up for it. Pool and gym we're closed which kinda sucked but totally understandable. Staff was friendly and helpful with local suggestions. We didn't mind housekeeping our own room, they were quick to replace our linens, leaving them safely in the hall so they weren't in our room. A great example for the Marriott Brand! Oh and pet friendly!

I have never stayed at a Marriott where the staff has been this out of touch. First the images attached with the chat, 5 mins after my "??" Chat I ended up calling them which is the only reason they responded to the chat. I was not greeting when getting in the shuttle or entering the hotel, not a hello, not a we will be with you in a moment, when the person in front of me was done the young man behind the counter just stared at me. Not once was I thanked for being platinum, I was not given any details about hours for breakfast (which they charge for and is awful), generally with any status you are offered the highest floor possible. I was I given a higher floor, while there are 2 floors above me and a lot of vacant rooms, the other gentle man in the elevator went to the 4th for his room so I know they were using it. I regret staying here, I only did it for the convenience since I flew in today and fly out tomorrow, but I will not be making that mistake again the next time I come to town

Chicken BLT, pretty good. Fat fries! So hot when dumped into the pretty little to-go box, the temp melted the dipping sauce container lid.

If this hotel were 30% cheaper, it might be five stars. $190 for a small town airport hotel? C'mon man! I'm not sure if it's overbuilt, over amenitized, or price gouged for the $50,000+ a-year-tuition-paying parents and business travelers. They're not cheap-asses like me, appreciating value. They're thrilled with the pet-friendly rooms and free shuttle to shopping and Cornell. So yeah, I'm subsidizing those amenities paying a high rack rate. Positives: great staff, good but limited food options, clean rooms. I sincerely want to give the staff five stars. Very nice people. Annoyance: for as large as the rooms are, the bathroom is awkwardly small. Why can I do somersaults and Jazzercise in the main area and yet feel like I'm on a cruise ship bathroom? Tiny. Reality: my flight got canceled late at night, and this was the only hotel within walking distance. They had a room, I needed a room. Supply and demand, yo.

This hotel located in an office park and it is literally in the middle of nowhere (meaning no eateries that is less than 10 mins drive away). This hotel is always the last hotel filling up during the special events at the nearby universities due to its proximity away from town / schools. The good part is the largeness of the room with 2 queen beds (rare). Everything in the room was in order except the housekeeping forgot our amenities (shampoo and soap) upon check in but it was fixed quickly after calling the front desk. No problem there. I've a life time elite status with Bonvoy / Marriott so I'll probably come back here again - as the Marriott at the Ithaca Common is expensive and hard to get in (very popular).

So many good things about this place, but a few negatives that slightly marred the experience…read more First, the areas for improvement: 1.) none of the USB ports at the bedside tables worked. None of the four. It's a mild inconvenience, to be sure, but having to plug everything up on the opposite side of the room was a pain. 2.) my shower wasn't clean. It's a lovely big shower with a little ledge inside for sitting/shaving, but mine had crusted soap (I guess?) from a previous and stuck to the ledge, there was hair in the shower, and shampoo (I guess) on the walls. Neither the hair, nor the old shampoo were mine. 3.) I could have sworn I selected the option for breakfast being included. I paid $250 for the room. Turns out I was mistaken and had to pay for my breakfast. In the grand scheme of things not the worst thing in the world, but when you're paying $250 a night breakfast shouldn't be an additional charge. This is a Canopy property, so of course the decor is stunning. There's a lovely fireplace in the lobby, and from the light fixtures to the artfully displayed knick-knacks all over the property, this place reads luxury. A few good things: 1.) the employees. There's an airport shuttle from Ithaca, and when the manager, Charis, came to get me he was incredibly kind. He took my bag to the hotel and dropped me at a local restaurant so I could enjoy happy hour oysters, AND he came back an hour later to pick me up. SO kind. Sam in the restaurant made breakfast a delight. She moved quickly and pays attention to guest needs. Great response time and knowledgeable about the menu. 2.) there's a free shuttle for local stops near the hotel. This is honestly the reason I chose this location as opposed to any other, and this free shuttle availability saved me at least $100 on Ubers during my day/night in town. They really don't mind running you here and there, and it's a wonderful little treat. 3.) breakfast is great. I was torn between the Eggs Benedict or the Lox, and at Sam's recommendation I opted for the Eggs Benedict. GREAT choice. The hollandaise is delicious, the bacon is crispy, and the English muffin is perfectly toasted. Poached eggs are an art form as far as I'm concerned, and these are beautifully done. The breakfast menu here in general looks great, and if this dish is any indication, you likely can't go wrong. 4.) they're actively working to reduce plastics at this location. I love that there are glass bottles in the room that you can fill with ice and filtered water on every floor. Talk about intentional. Kudos on this front. 5.) getting a late check out was easy. 6.) the location is ideal for exploring the Commons, a pedestrian block of little places that's crawling with college kids. It's easy to walk to a local bar and have a quick drink, but be careful where you go...I went to the Chantillery (or some such nonsense), and they absolutely scammed me on the one drink I ordered. The good things about this place far out number the negative, but for $250 a night, this should be a 5-star experience. Even though the hotel fell short in a few ways, the people here would encourage me to come back. I'd just ask housekeeping to go over the room once more before I checked in.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Canopy by Hilton that I feel others should be aware…read moreof. I briefly pulled into the parking lot to get my belongings, and instead of being treated with basic courtesy, I was confronted by a staff member who spoke to me in a threatening and aggressive manner. It was completely unprofessional and honestly shocking for a hotel that presents itself as upscale. On top of that, the parking situation is absolutely terrible. The layout is confusing, spaces are limited, and it feels very poorly managed. Even if you are a guest, it doesn't seem like there's any effort to make parking convenient or stress-free. Between the hostile interaction and the frustrating parking setup, I would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of other hotels that treat people with respect and don't make something as simple as parking a headache.
