This is a nice hotel in a great location but DO NOT EAT AT THE BISTRO. the bistro service is terrible. In an empty restaurant, 30 minutes to get a Cobb salad is completely unacceptable. The staff joked about it and tried to be nice but there's just no excuse. I recommend walking to any one of the three neighboring restaurants. read more

Check in was a little bumpy. Young guy behind counter seemed a little dazed and confused. My room was extremely warm. I couldn't cool it down, so I opened a window. I got an awful odor of what I thought was either natural gas or propane. I called the front desk. Same young guy that checked me in told me I was above a suite with a fireplace and what I was smelling was the start up of the fireplace and it would go away. Mind you it was below freezing out and my window was wide open and I was still too hot in my room. That smell kept me up and got stronger through out the night. Upon checkout, as I asked another guest on my floor if he smelled the same odor and he said he had smelled it in the hall. I mentioned to the woman at checkout, I got an apology and was told a manager would be told and a credit would be issued for the night. Never heard from anyone, nor was there a credit. Breakfast wasn't as good as most Marriott's. Disappointing for a Marriott, and not a very restfully or refreshing stay. read more

I didn't make it to many parts of Richland, but I'm sure that there are some pretty sketchy hotels! This Courtyard was clean and wonderfully located on the Columbia River and next to an Anthony's (great for happy hour, btw)! The front desk was friendly and helpful, the gym is small but had the necessary equipment, the pool looked clean (didn't use it), the patio area was cute, and there's free WiFi everywhere. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The front desk girls were incredibly rude and had the biggest attitudes. Housekeeping was non existent, we got room service and our dishes sat in the hall way for two days before we finally brought them into the lobby. I have a rewards membership with Marriott and accrued enough points by staying with them that I was able to get a few nights for free. I have been a loyal customer to Marriott and after this weekend at this specific hotel I am going to be reconsidering who I give my money to. read more

LAME DIGS! Stayed the night here for one day and I wasn't at all impressed. Wifi? Gonna cost ya......free breakfast? Nope it's gonna cost ya! This place is only okay if you manage to get a river view and wanna blow some money on the same stuff you get free elsewhere. Just a yuppie trap here! Got a good price on a room with a view of the water--very pretty. Room was super clean and has updated modern-ish decor with a soothing color scheme. Very comfortable bed and I'm here on a Sunday night and it's very quiet. Wi-fi is included in the room price (thank-you!). They should lose the "restaurant" though--it's not a real kitchen, so why offer some pathetic frozen microwave meals? It cheapens the experience, frankly. Luckily there's an AMAZING seafood restaurant next door--don't skip it. Lots of locally-sourced options and the best rhubarb drinks/desserts I've ever had. The meal was absolutely delicious. Ask for a free appetizer coupon at the front desk of the hotel (must purchase a meal, totally worth it). read more

What a view! Great location on the river next to some very nice restaurants. It is just down the street from a good sized and new shopping area, but the best part is the very nice golf course right next tot he hotel. I am just impressed with the service and location of this place. I just wished they had more to offer for Elite Marriott Rewards members. read more

I've stayed here many times and my the and the service is always great. This time there were many of staying at Marriott for a family event. The snowstorm came and many of our plans fell through. The staff were gracious in accommodating our large group gatherings at all hours. We really appreciate the flexibility that allowed our family to gather after a really important day. Pros: nice waterfront location that is close to the highway and shops and restaurants in downtown Richland, large rooms, comfy beds, clean hotel, friendly staff. Cons: hot hallways, small, weird elevator (just 1), old useless guest laundry, small pool, no breakfast. read more

Clean, very well maintained, welcoming hotel in a very nice upscale neighborhood. Friendly helpful staff and a super front desk staff. Spacious room with real blackout shades and good A/C and VERY COMFY FIRM BED. All the good amenities and a decent breakfast you purchase but worth it for the quality and convenience -- and a miracle for a hotel: really good coffee and good decaf too. Lots of free parking and excellent luggage carts. Top it all off with an upscale shopping area nearby and the hotel is right on a truly beautiful mixed use walking/jogging/biking trail along the Columbia River. Heavenly. read more

This is a really nice Courtyard on the river, with a beautiful water view. The service, facilities, beds, everything is standard Marriott Courtyard quality. Breakfast was better than most Courtyards, maybe because this is a more tourist oriented Courtyard (being on a golf course and the river). The restaurant service was very friendly. Overall a great spot to spend the night on the way through town. Much nicer than I expected to find in Richland. read more

Restaurant and bar are simply terrible! The bartender took 10 min to make a simple margarita for the person in front of me.

Great all around. Nice rooms, comfy bed, superb breakfast (custom waffles or omlets!), free wifi, nice little indoor pool and hot tub was handy for me. Also the workout room is nice and had enough room for a few people and two treadmills. Kind of wish the TVs on the treadmills actually received channels clearly, though! My biggest complaint was that the fan in the room couldn't be turned to "Constant" as I need the fan noise to sleep. The button was there but it wouldn't work when you hit it. I've seen this at other hotels, must be an energy savings thing to disable it. I just used the white noise app on my phone instead though I prefer the real fan. read more

Wonderful front desk crew!! Whīle attempting to awkwardly carrying in a sleeping heavy kid lost both her absolute favorite pink princess flip flops on the way by the time I went back down for luggage and Paula at the front desk had noticed and went above and beyond found one in a bush and the other under a car in the parking lot!! Great service thank you! As a bonus the rooms are fabulous and the beds are ridiculously comfortable!! Plus right on the river walk to parks fabulous location. read more

Great new hotel with nice views of the Columbia River and Public Marina. Rooms are above and beyond for a Courtyard. Lounge has bar and limited dinner menu. Anthonys Seafood is less than a block away on the water. Starbucks is about a half mile up the road. Hotel is often sold out as I assume this is the business travelers first choice in the region. Stayed here for a Continuing Education course and a conference. The hotel is awesome. But as great as the facility is, the staff is even better. Everyone was friendly and able to work with room changes as well as a crazy convention breakfast that blew through while we were here. Top marks, if we have reason to visit the Tri-Cities again, this will be my choice for where we stay. read more

I had my wedding at this courtyard by Marriott in Richland on May 20th 2017. I would NEVER recommend anyone to hold their wedding at this location. The only good thing about the venue was the surrounding area around it. To name a few problems I had with this establishment are 1) The Director of Sales at the courtyard by Marriott who had been helping me plan my wedding the entire time did not book my wedding suite for the first night we arrived. I had multiple emails including a contract saying they were going to comp me a wedding suite for Friday and Saturday night. When I go to check in Friday night, they no longer have any suites available. 2) The bartender who was serving at my wedding was the most RUDE girl I have ever met. I had complaint upon complaint about her attitude against my guest and her horrible service. I should not have to worry if the bartender at my wedding that I paid for the service for is being RUDE and MEAN to my guest. 3) The manager the night of my wedding at the hotel "spotted" people in the parking lot doing drugs. He had to audacity to tell the DJ to announce over the speakers to "shut this party down. you can take it to a club or wherever but were shutting you down due to illegal narcotics" When we approached him about the situation, we asked him if it was one of our guest doing the drugs and he says "I don't know" then when we ask his what kind of drugs they were doing, he again says "I Don't know". After giving him an earful he finally makes the right decision about letting us proceeded with the wedding that I had paid ALOT of money for. 4) The communication of the staff was horrible. They messed up the reader board saying it was the "Cole wedding" (Bride's last name) and didn't even mention the groom's name at all on the board. Again when we approached the staff about this problem they said "We just put what the paperwork say up on the board" Overall the most disappointing situation of all was the response I got back from the Director of Sales regarding all of theses situations. She said "these are all great learning and coaching opportunities for our staff and they will be addressed", "I did speak to the gentleman that was the Manager on Duty that night and he did let me know that he had asked the DJ to turn down the music several times, but that he did not have the DJ announce anything about drug use." so now we have an ethical issue with the manager that night lying about what he told the DJ to announce. If he didn't tell the DJ to announce that message then how did the DJ know about the "illegal narcotics"? and last she said "Again, I am very sorry that your special day didn't go as planned and I truly wish things would have gone more smoothly for you and your family" I did not pay A LOT of money to have my wedding as a "coaching opportunity" for your staff. I did not pay A LOT of money to be called a liar because your manager that night is trying to save his A**. I did not pay A LOT of money to have your staff embarrass me, my husband, and my family in front of all of my guest that night and I did not pay A LOT of money to have my wedding treated with such disrespect and treated like an inconvenience by the Courtyard By Marriott. So again I will NEVER recommend this facility to anyone ever especially if you are considering hosting your wedding there read more

I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip. There is a nice seating area in the lobby, as well as benches outside right at the water. I was given an upgraded room upon check in with a view of the water, which was a nice surprise. If you're an early riser, the sun rises on the water side, and it is quite a beautiful site. The gym is rather small, with 2-3 treadmills, 1 elliptical machine, and a bench with dumbbells. While I didn't go to the pool, it does have a hot tub. The hotel room is comfortable as well. For Richland (and I live here, so I know it well) I suppose this hotel is alright. My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway just for the night, so I splurged and booked a suite with a jetted tub and fireplace. It was about $220 for one night, pretty pricey. Honestly, it was so mediocre, that we didn't even end up staying. The decor is pretty dated. The room was really warm and smelled musty. The tub, though jetted as described, was pretty small. Nothing great here. The staff was perfectly friendly, no problems there. Is there a better hotel in Richland? I'm not sure. But I'm not convinced this hotel is worth the price. read more

Too expensive in comparison to other hotels we've stayed. There is nothing special about the rooms. We had a parking lot view costing $210 for one night. I've done better at similar hotels near Disneyland. A Columbia River view...you got to be kidding. The only water I saw while walking around the hotel was a small pond. read more

I stayed at this hotel numerous times for business. Clean great location however the last time I stayed there ...I left my room around 9 am to do a quick workout. I was only gone for 15 minutes. When I returned to my room my coat and earrings were missing. Gone. Stolen. I had everything organized so I could quickly change and head for the airport. I reported it. The front desk manager immediately researched it. She was very supportive, but had no answers. I requested to speak with the owner of the hotel. He never called. A week later I called again and finally he got on the phone. He said they did a key check and only my key was used to get into the room at 6:38 am. I was in the room at that time. When I did use the key at 9:15am it did not show up in their system. He was completely unaccommodating! He told me to file a police report. There was no support or follow up. He said this as never happened before. My reply was that is has now and that they have a serious problem that needs to be fixed. He was uninterested and dismissed my concerns. If you stay here lock your suitcase and close the bar on your door when you are in the room. The coat cost $99 and the earrings $120. I was surprised how the owner handled this situation. I will never stay there again!! read more

My husband and I travel quite a bit. This is the first time we have stayed in a Marriott, and it will be the last. We checked in on the afternoon of April 30th, and went to our room to change for an event. Everything was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. We returned from our event at about 7:30 pm, and the hotel was crazy. A Lacrosse tournament was in town and the hotel was full of preteen Lacrosse players. Which would be great, but the boys were running the entire building in a giant tag game. There was a live band wedding reception going on at the hotel. Our room was on the second floor. The reception/band was so loud that the floor of our hotel room was vibrating. We could not hear ourselves talk across the room. About 9 pm we chose to leave and go meet some friends in town, We returned to the hotel at about 10:45 pm. The reception/band was over, but the main floor was full and loud. Lacrosse players were still running the building. We chose to take a long walk along the water, and stopped for drinks at a business down the way. We returned at about 12:30 am to a quiet room. In the morning I went down to use the workout room. It only has 3 pieces of cardio equipment, all of which were in use. I took a walk along the water, then came back and one was free. For a hotel of this size I do not feel this exercise room to be at all adequate. Next my husband and I each took showers in a bathroom that had a non-working shower fan. This was the last time we will stay at a Marriott. read more
