Five star plus for service, Melody the manager was so accommodating for us. We had originally booked two rooms with a no cancellation policy to visit family when I came down with Covid. She was so helpful and got us a refund to be able to re-book when I was feeling better and able to travel. The staff here are top notch and everyone was so friendly, amazing customer service all around. This experience has made us want to only stay at Hampton. Rooms were immaculately clean. They will service your room each day if you want, unlike many hotels recently will only do if you are staying 2+ nights. The free breakfast was great and constantly attended. The amazing ladies working here were always on top of it checking to make sure every item was well stocked and so very friendly, service with a smile! Super bonus, here the pool and hot tub are open 24 hours so you don't feel rushed to get back to enjoy this added amenity. I've never stayed at any hotel with such a great perk! My wife, two dogs, and I stayed here on our drive back from Vancouver BC to Boise ID. Great experience! Parking was super-close and free. Check-in was a breeze. The room rate and pet fee/policy were very reasonable. There were plenty of luggage carts by the front door to help get our bags to our room. Everyone was super-friendly. Every employee we encountered said hello to us. The lady at the front desk even gave our dogs treats! The hotel and room were spotless and everything appeared to be in working order. The room was good-sized with updated decor and a comfortable bed. Plenty of bedside outlets/USBs. Shower pressure was great, AC worked great and was not loud. No problems with hearing noise from other rooms or the hallway. The location of this hotel was awesome! The Columbia River is literally a stone's throw away (maybe 100 feet from the back of the hotel). There is a jogging/walking/biking trail right outside the hotel's back door, and a park right next door. Plenty of places for our dogs to explore. The free breakfast was pretty standard for a Hampton Inn. Egg white frittatas, homestyle potatoes, bacon, waffles, breads/muffins/bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, milk, and coffee (and probably a couple other options that I don't remember). Toppings and condiments were plentiful. The breakfast and seating areas were kept clean, well-stocked, and orderly. Everything was tasty. There is a pretty good sized snack shop next to the front desk. We didn't take a close look or buy anything, but it looked like they had a good selection of sodas, beer, and wine... snacks... sundries... etc. We didn't use any of the other amenities (gym, pool, business center, etc.), but they are all apparently open 24 hours. We were very happy with our stay. This will be our new mid-way stop when we road-trip up to Canada again. read more

This place is located right on the water front with a good walking trail in either direction. There's a nice park with playground equipment and a wading pool right next door. The location is reason enough to stay here. Some rooms have balconies/water views if you are interested in paying for that sort of thing. There's plenty of parking and the room was pleasant. There's a small store on site if you need to buy a snack/drink to take to your room. Free breakfast was included which had some hot items, although not as many as I would prefer, but definitely a step up from your traditional continental breakfast .The hot items changed on each day we were here. It's a little cramped when getting in and out to get your food, but the seating area is much bigger or take your food to eat outside and enjoy the view. What I love most about this place though is that the pool area is open 24 hours. I never understand why these hotel pools have to keep such difficult hours, I want to be able to use it when I want to use it and not have to rush home by a certain time to make sure I allow time to be able to use the amenity I care most about when booking a hotel. I did worry that this might lead to loud noise from children at various hours, but it did not appear to be the case. It's also nice that the pool area is in a big glass enclosure so you can easily see how busy it is when deciding if now is the time you want to go. read more

Alright guys this is about LOCATION. Super nice location next to the river. If you get a river view you also get a balcony and can enjoy the weather and atmosphere. It is next to the park which is lovely. There is a sushi place, tapas restaurant, winery and coffee shop all within walking distance (less than a mile probably less than half a mile honestly). The outdoor patio is nice. There is an indoor pool. And breakfast is individually wrapped items or hot stuff served by a staff member. Rooms clean, functional and plenty of space. Services are closed such as gym, business center, lobby. the front desk did assist with printing items by emailing them to front desk. Breakfast is offered as a stand-in-line cashier style. plenty to chose from, yogurt, yukon potatoes are salty. plenty of food vendors deliver to your room. staff is friendly and room service quick to respond. TV programming conflicts with guide, it would be great if you could fix it. I'm just say'in A small store from for limited snacks on site and a Winco grocery store is a little over a half mile walk. Dog friendly, comfortable bed, clean room and staff was great, no issues at all! 2nd hotel stay of the road-trip and this location was perfect for it. We got a first floor room that was close to an exit for the dogs to have quick bathroom access. Bed was comfortable, room was stocked, had all we needed. We also had a great view (as pictured) from the room! There's a great big walkway along the river that was perfect for a nice evening walk with the dogs to get some energy out after a long day in the car! Great spot, would stay again! read more

One of the best Hilton properties I have been to in a couple of years! Fron the moment I walked in, it was a pleasant experience. The front desk personnel was extremely friendly the whole week I was I was there. The property is very well maintained inside and out. My room was vlean; the AC was nice and cold. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the bulk hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I am not a fan. I don't trust people and refuse to use them. I carry my own. I get why the hotel does it but I it isn't for me. The hotel is on the Columbia River and you can go for great walks without feeling cramped in the room or fitness es center. read more

Had to make a quick trip to Richland, WA for work and decided to stay at the Hampton Inn. Check in was easy as usual and was very surprised when I arrived to my room. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations! The property's location along the Columbia River and adjacent to Amon Park is fantastic. We had a river view room with balcony and enjoyed watching the scenery and activity. The walking trail along the river was a perfect way to get some outdoor exercise. The hotel itself is immaculately maintained, with great attention to detail in all areas of the property. We appreciated that the pool and hot tub are open any time. The breakfast area isn't limited to one room, so there are plenty of spots to eat in quiet, or with a group or as a couple. The breakfast itself was delicious and varied (we were there for 3 nights). First time here at any Hampton hotels. I've always stayed either at Best Western or Choice Hotels during my traveling job from 2012 to 2016. I must say I'm extremely pleased with the overall cleanliness and how gosh darn friendly the staff were to us. Stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip and I'm pretty impressed for a 3 star hotel. Definitely not a 4 or 5 star however, service, cleanliness and staff are amazing. I didn't know what to expect as we were from out of town but this hotel was perfect for our stay. We received great customer service, friendly employees, and an excellent provided breakfast every morning. The room was clean & updated, I loved the balcony overlooking the river, and the facility itself was just great. We took advantage of the hotel being close to a big park and also that you can walk right outside and get on the trail by the river was fantastic. The views of the Columbia river are just beautiful from the top floor balcony. The breakfast with berry waffles, fresh fruit, cheesey omelettes, sausage, pastries, cereal, etc., and good coffee is pretty good for a hotel breakfast. The beds are extremely firm, so if you're like me and need a little padding, plan on NOT sleeping. Also, the sheets are scratchy! But my husband slept like a baby and loved the bedding. I'm glad they're remodeling. The three stars are only because prior to booking, I made sure to book a room where I wouldn't be affected by the renovation taking place. The light was on next door where the storage for renovation was. The balcony light was left on and they would have had to come through my room to get to it, so with that being said, it was a nice offer but extremely annoying. I live near here and come to visit to find peace. I wanted to go home because having a light shine through the blind all night was like sleeping with a bedroom light on. There are a lot of beautiful hotels along the river! :) This one used to be my favorite in the park. I hope they update the bedding! read more

We've stayed at many Hamptons from the west coast to the East coast and hands down this was one of the nicest (probably the nicest) one we've stayed at. It was SUPER clean, everyone that works there was so nice and friendly. We had enough honor points to be upgraded to a suite and talk about a beautiful room. Hilton branded hotel. Solid 2.5 - 3 stars. Clean, friendly staff. I always get a room overlooking the Columbia river. Beds are nice and compy, TV's are old and need updated, room decor is decent, but some of the furniture showing signs of wear and maximum use. No bar area, and the morning breakfast is a mix of cereal, prepared egg product, OJ, toast, and yogurt. The fruit mix comes out of a jar, and is really bad. Sometimes they have fresh bananas and apples. Convenient if you are visiting PNNL. My corporate pricing was $132 which I feel is way high for the general area and quality of the place. read more

I know it's crazy to say Hampton Inn was one of the best hotels I've ever been to, but truly--it was. The amenities may not be what you'd expect in a higher star hotel, but the outdoor scenery makes up for it. I was car-less while I was here, but found that this hotel was still pretty darn close to some nearby stuff. There's a riverwalk that you can walk up and down. It's absolutely beautiful at sunset. They also have a patio, which we enjoyed sitting outside and drinking on every night. Highlights: *Free breakfast every morning. I'm normally a free breakfast hater because it seems like there's never enough food I want, but this hotel was different. There were homemade waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, and fresh fruit. *In-hotel store. They had a limited selection of wine and beer, as well as medicine, swimsuits, etc. I was able to get a mini bottle of champagne for about $4 and a mini bottle of Barefoot Moscato for $2. *Pool. Since I was here on business, I didn't find enough free time to check it out. *Clean rooms *Quiet. It seemed like mostly business travelers while we were here and everyone kept to themselves *Free airport shuttle. When you arrive, call the airport # and they'll send a van to pick you up. On the way back to the airport, just talk to the front desk to schedule a time. *Friendly staff *Fridge and microwave in room *iHomes in room to listen to your iPhone/iPod My 5 days away from home weren't too bad thanks to my wonderful stay at HI Richland. read more

This hotel was recommended by a collaborator, whom I'm visiting to discuss our project. When I checked into the rates, they were over my per diem, but I decided to call and see if they would work with me. The person was very friendly and helpful and did negotiate a rate that my University would allow. The only down side is their only available room at this rate is handicapped. I don't mind that so much. I usually prefer a higher floor, but mainly, I don't want to take a room someone will need. They promised to move me though if that happens. Would I stay here again? One would think that a hotel next to the beautiful Columbia River would be swanky, expensive and out of the reach of your generic traveler. But that isn't the case at this Hanford which results in a confusing experience I have yet to understand. The positives consist of a nice river-side run or walk at any point in the day, being that there is a jogging trail right outside the facility. Access to "downtown" Richland is easy with aforementioned coffee shop of dreams within walking distance. The price, as you may have gotten from my statement above, was reasonable as long as you aren't staring at the river from your room. Don't forget about those HHonors loyalty points. The rest of the hotel leaves me confused. 70's to 80's styling in the hallways and common areas, but nicer rooms. Terrible (standard for any Hampton) breakfast but a wonderful view of the river from the dining area. North Korean style internet in speed and access. People who could care less that you are staying there. And cleanliness that is about average for a North Korean prison camp. Would I stay here again? Yes. Because it's probably the nicest place in Richland. A-OK for eastern Washington, but substandard for anywhere else. read more

I've logged many a night at this Hampton...I've been snowbound here on more than one occassion, arrived early, arrived late, and alas, have never had an issue. They'll even pick you up from the airport which is 15 minutes away for no charge! The staff is always excellent and willing to help, the rooms are spotless clean, and they recognize you for your HiltonHonors membership, which many Hampton Hotels fail to do. Also, they recently upgraded the breakfast area, and it looks like there is more to come... The river side rooms offer stunning mornings at sunrise, and the city side rooms are good too. Recommended. Always call for the best rate...they are more than willing to help you find it! read more

Not a bad hotel at all. I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The room were clean and the bed were comfortable. They provide free breakfast every morning from 530am. I think the best part is that they have a beautiful river right behind the hotel. The river is really the real wow factor. So peaceful and clean. Bring a running pant, skip the gym at the hotel and just go for the run by the lake. read more

Since my first visit in September of 2014, I've stayed here several times, including twice this year (weekend of 2/20/2016 and weekend of 4/2/2016). I also tried out another hotel in the vicinity (review also posted here on Yelp), which has prompted me to revise my review of this hotel upward. This really is a nice place to stay. The hotel is clean and quiet, with beautiful views of the river, and the amenities really can't be beat - free (very good) breakfast, pool, hot tub, gym, small convenience store, and business center. Staff are immediately welcoming when you enter the reception area, and have been responsive to my needs whenever I've had questions. My only complaint (and I'm not sure you could classify this as a real complaint) is that the last two or three times I've stayed here, there sure have been a lot of other people staying here too. This can only mean that it's a great place to stay. read more

OMG! This place was wonderful. Maybe it was because we had a balcony that we could sit on and just overlook the lake, or maybe it was the wonderful Ashley who was the awesome front desk person, (who by the way needs a day off as she was always working and I mean ALWAYS) or just the staff overall. The rooms were spacious and clean, there was a hot tub and an indoor heated pool, and the morning breakfast was wonderful as it changed every morning. Breakfast choices were excellent, and all properly cooked, warm and fresh. Facilities are top notch, including 24 hour pool, business center, meeting rooms, sufficient well-lit parking, all clean and well maintained. I noticed it had rcvd Hilton awards for excellence...definitely justified from what I observed. suggestions: hotel is located alongside a scenic portion of the Columbia River; if you enjoy a view of the river, definitely opt for the river view side of the building. Also, the patio (for breakfast, etc.,) is facing the river, and is very enjoyable in good weather. Also, if you are staying there because of the annual Water Follies in late July (unlimited hydroplane racing and quality air show), it is an easy trip to the race site. Approximately 7 (estimated) miles virtually straight to the east of the hotel...very simple to get to. Rates were very reasonable, especially given the quality! Highly recommend! read more

Just got back from a 3 day stay at this hotel. Positives abound: river walk outside off the patio, the patio itself (umbrellas, furniture, clean), rooms are modern and clean, bed is extremely comfortable, the TV is modern hi-def with lots of station options (HBO, Golf, ESPN, etc.), wireless in the rooms is free and fast enough for my i-Pad use, pool area is clean with plenty of towels and hot tub was in great working order and always busy, staff is helpful friendly and courteous, grounds are well kept, and the breakfast was a good selection (make your own waffles, some sort of protein like eggs, oatmeal, bagels, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee is available and freshened all day long, pastries, etc.), cookies were available everyday in the afternoon out by the coffee, etc. While there is no bar in the hotel, across the street is a new pub (The Fox and Bear) for beer and wine, or walk down the Riverwalk to Anthony's, plus there is a small shop in the lobby by the front desk where you can buy beer and wine, but it is severely marked up - stop in Prosser and stock up instead! If you want a comfortable hotel in the Tri-Cities area, check this one out. read more

Solid business service hotel. Along side the Columbia River, so at least that can keep you company. As the other reviewer says, the soap sticks, there's no bar/lounge, there's little within walking distance, etc. But if you need a place to sleep with a good enough iron and ironing board, along with a good enough breakfast, this is it.
