Espresso martini and cookie served in the dining area of the hotel
    Denise J.

Arrived after 8:00 p.m. so that I was in town for an early morning meeting the next day. The check-in was easy, staff were super polite, handed me a nice bottle of water and offered to carry my luggage upstairs since they don't have an elevator. The room is updated and has a nice modern layout and feel. They're also very quiet, I couldn't hear the traffic or people in the hallways. I came downstairs to hang out in the bar area. Enjoyed an espresso martini and a chocolate cookie. Perfect night cap. It was nice to see there were other folks hanging out in the bar area. Bar staff were super polite and friendly. In the morning when I checked out I was greeted by really friendly staff. Nice chit chatty conversation and just a nice way to exit the hotel. I'll see you next time. I've got an early morning meeting in Vacaville.

Starting off with the pros: The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are multiple walkable restaurants nearby ( we had In N Out on night 1 and Olive Garden on night 2), a Grocery Outlet right next door, and the Nut Tree Outlets. We used the pool (which was not too cold), hot tub, and gym which were all in good condition. And did some work in the lobby where there is a ton of seating and 3 large booths with outlets. Now with the cons: Day 1, the hallways, gym, and room smelled like smoke. I tried to open the sliding door of the gym, but that doesn't open and there's barely any ventilation in there. The cleaning crew came in and tried opening the door, but it doesn't budge. Day 2, the smell wasn't as strong, but the hallways are still stuffy with no ventilation. You can fill up your water bottle in the gym, but there's mold and residue (pictured) which makes me think the filter doesn't get changed either. Walls are thin. We were on the first floor, and it was easy to hear upstairs neighbors footsteps, banging doors, and talking until 2am.

I stayed here for a business trip and really liked it. It has everything you need for the week and I liked that the gym is open 24 hours.

Nice and clean place to stay. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely. The beds are very comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi area is a bit small but kept clean. There is a nice garden area in the center of the hotel with a small BBQ. Location is across from shopping outlets and walking distance to many restaurants

Hi. It depends on dates and where you book. It's around $100+. I recommend downloading the BonVoy app for booking.

It was an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for our family, and Melanie was an absolute warm, bright light during some very dark days. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine care meant more to us than she probably realizes. When your family is going through something like this and you're away from home, those little moments of humanity can make an enormous difference. Melanie gave us that every time we saw her. Crystal also deserves a special shout-out for making the best omelettes every morning! Having a great breakfast and a friendly face waiting for us before heading back to the hospital was one of those simple comforts we really came to appreciate. The hotel itself was just about perfect for what we needed. The location was incredibly convenient to the hospital, the rooms and beds were comfortable, the amenities were excellent, and the staff was remarkably accommodating when we needed flexibility extending our stay as my dad's hospitalization evolved. The hotel bar was another unexpected blessing. After some very long and emotional days at the hospital, it gave our family a comfortable place to sit together, connect with loved ones, decompress, and take the edge off without having to go anywhere. Hyatt House Vacaville became a little bit of a home away from home at a time when our family really needed one. We're incredibly grateful to Melanie, Crystal, and the entire team for the kindness and hospitality they showed us during my dad's hospitalization. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation -- and we'll always remember the people here who helped make a very difficult chapter a little easier.

So I decided to go to best Western on Monte Vista Avenue in Vacaville California. If you like a key card that has to be re-keyed 12 times. Literally it had to be repeated 12 times. I was denied entry into my room and had to go to the office and get a new key card 12 times in one evening. The room was musky and dank It took at least 16 hours to get that taste out of my mouth. The room was clean, but the curtains did not shut the light out, and I could not completely be hidden from the outside. The people who work there are a special kind of people. That includes the punk rocker who had the 10 inch rooster tail on the top of his head. I've got nothing against rock rock or punk rockers, but, come on. There was so much illegal traffic and ladies of the night staying there that I was terrified. I didn't know if I was gonna be attacked or car jacked when I was there. I asked to speak to the manager and I was brushed off regarding the room. They offered me another room on the second story and it smelled just as bad as the first one. I never got to talk to the manager. At that point I was done. I guess I threw out the 11th key card. Best western is more like, worst western!

Bed was comfortable, although had a few long hairs that were stuck on the sheets when we pulled back the comforter. We removed and moved on. Service when we showed up at 8:30 was weird. The front door was locked, and everyone who worked here seemed like it was their first time working a hotel. We told him we drove in and he didn't mention paying for parking until we were about to leave the desk. I asked in the morning to split the bill and the front desk worker told me "I wouldn't know how to do that" and said she couldn't. Weird. The hotel fire alarm went off at 6:30am and we all started to evacuate. It turned off 3 minutes later, so we went back into our rooms. Called the front desk who gave absolutely no guidance and said "someone walked all the floors and it looks fine, so do what you'd like". It went off again at 7:45 and again at 8. Breakfast was minimal and they were out of loads of stuff when we went down at 7. Seems like a really great hotel if they could get some qualified staff and work out kinks.

Sure enough he was right. He also told me that that has happened many times and the morning clerk told me the same thing. Easy fix! Housekeeping needs to make sure it's plugged in correctly. Towels were hit or miss, the bed was rarely made, and the sheets were never changed. And forget about getting the room vacuumed. The noise level was also difficult. The walls are quite thin, and with several tour groups staying at the hotel, there was frequent early morning activity that made it hard to get restful sleep. Breakfast was disappointing--limited variety, often cold, and the coffee was terrible. They have "private" parking. There are people loitering around late at night, and there's no gate or security presence. So I really don't understand what you're paying for. On the plus side, they do have an indoor pool, and access to a gym is available at a nearby partner hotel. Overall, while the location may work for some, my experience left a lot to be desired. It's a one of a kind facility with a warm, accommodating management staff and I'll leave it at that, as praising it any further would bring a certain radiance which would detract from the locales mysterious and secluded vibe. How a compound so near to the busiest freeway in Northern California could tuck itself away into the Lagoon Valley pastoral beauty and remain a flower unplucked and hidden is rare and something we old school Vaca-villlagers and lovers of nature alike do appreciate and love.
