We were on a road trip and stopped it was getting late in the evening around 11, we didn't have reservations and stopped at the Courtyard Marriott in Vacaville. We were greeted by Sergio the night manager. He is one of the most accommodating and professional people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting when staying at a hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean, the bed as exceptional. They have a breakfast that is not included in the cost of the room it was a full menu made to order and a Starbucks bar... I stayed here to celebrate my daughter birthday and could not have had a worse experience: 1) They wont let you use your points to upgrade your room, so fine I paid full price. 2) When we walked into the new room the siding fell off the corner of the wall? 3) No free breakfast, not really that bad but would have been nice. 4) I had to have my kids out of the pool area as there was guys drinking beer in excess and even smoking pot....with no staff to regulate it what so ever. 5) Last but not least, by any means! I left $200 worth of skin and hair products that I had just purchased the day prior in the room. I remember specifically having my daughter grab a bad from housekeeping to pack it in, and I handed it to her. Unfortunately she and I didn't remember till the following morning that it was left on the chair in the room. I contacted the staff first thing in the morning and was told that I would receive a call right back. After I got off work (which they had both cell and work number) I hadn't received a call back. I again called to be told by the front desk clerk (Kelly) that she would call me right back. She did and simply said sorry they couldn't find it and that was it. I then called the customer care line, who contacted the manager of the Hotel (Sue) who again said sorry we can't find it. When I further again explained to the customer care agent (Elizabeth) that there is no way I had it.....She was rude, said I was saying that not only was her Housekeeping staff stealing (who else could have taken it) that I was also saying that the other 4 people that checked the room today (I highly doubt it) were also thief's and even went as far as to say that I was calling her a thief?? I have worked in the hotel industry for years, and its said but yes it happens no matter where you work people steal. As a HR and Payroll clerk I've seen several cases that employees steal, its sad truly but also tempting and when someone isn't called out or at least questioned about it, I am sorry that says something about the Hotel right? I have never ever been treated so poorly by someone who is supposed to be a customer care agent and solve these kind of issues.....again what does that say about the Hotel you spend your hard earned money on..... Myself on the other hand will never stay at a Marriott again......and I hope you rethink how you spend your hard earned money. read more

I had a very nice stay. The front desk staff was very nice and quick to help me out with anything. Meghan helped me photo copy and fax some of my paperwork. She even remembered my room number and my name when my card was demagnetized and had to redo it. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but there was a fridge where I could put my drinks and there was a microwave in the room if you needed it. Pretty clean hotel room. I'm guessing people are complaining about there being stairs, but really? I mean if you are having trouble with one flight of stairs, maybe you are the type that needs to be taking stairs in the first place. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

My husband and I stopped at the Marriott courtyard in Vacaville while we were in town visiting family and had an absolutely wonderful stay. Before checking in we used the mobile app to request amenities which were delightfully placed in a room upon arrival. On our way to dinner we stopped off at the front desk and asked them what recommendations they had, they were super helpful in guiding us to the best place for dinner and even provided us with an umbrella so we wouldn't get wet on our walk. The location of the hotel is in a great vicinity of the Vacaville outlet shopping and allowed us to avoid all of the Black Friday shopping traffic. The lemon water in the lobby was delicious and the coffee in the room with Bold and flavorful. Lastly we took a dip in the hot tub and pool which we had all to ourselves and made for a very relaxing and rejuvenating evening. All-around a fantastic stay and well worth the price which was discounted do to the amazing military rate. We would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Being in the Air Force I travel around quite a bit and stay in a lot of hotels. This one is ok. Pros: clean rooms, decent channel selection, surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Free wifi, BUT.... Cons: HORRIBLE WiFi ( intermittent at best, on 4 different devices moving up at down halls, almost non existent in my room.) Very thin walls, got to listen to my neighbors party all night when I had to get up at 5. Coffee in lobby was always lukewarm. read more

In short our stay was nice. I didn't get her name but the woman who checked us in on Sept 23rd at around 4pm was pleasant to deal with after a really long day. There was also an issue with my card on file and she was very nice about it. In fact it reminded me of the last time I stayed at a Courtyard and had a similar issue (this time it was my fault, last time it was the hotels). The woman last time was awful and her attitude/treatment towards us loomed over our trip. This time however, the woman was very kind and understood and did not make a semi emberresing issue a big deal. The room was clean and nicely appointed. I enjoyed our inward facing room that overlooked the park like setting in the courtyard. The design of this Courtyard is one of the reasons I've started making them my go to hotel when we travel all over CA. There looks to be construction on one side of the hotel but as we stayed on the weekend there was no noises or activity. The hotel also doesn't have an elevator but the staff happily offered to take our luggage upstairs for us, something we declined. I overheard several guest loudly complain about the lack of elevators. The stairs weren't an issue for us (but we're young and in good shape and didn't have things like strollers with us). I do have one small complaint. At about 1030, 1.5 hours before check out, a woman loudly knocked on my door. She did not identify herself but I assume she was part of the housekeeping staff as she was wearing a smock. I'm not sure if she was suprised I was still in my room but she didn't say anything until I asked if I could help her. She spoke broken English and pointed to a clipboard and said something about check out. I asked if check out was indeed noon and she just repeated herself and then went to do the same to the room across the hall. This interaction threw me off because 1) I've never had this happen at any hotel before, let alone a Marriott which I frequent most often and 2) I was on a conference call with a client and had to put things on paused because the loud repetitive knocking on my door. Honestly, it was so aggressive sounding I grabbed something to defend myself and my phone getting ready to call 911! Other than that awkward interaction I would most defenitly stay here again. read more

This hotel has had some upgrades and looks like it had had the Marriott renovation done that is provided to the franchisee. However I think they need to replace the windows at lease upgrade on windows and sliding doors noticed mine didn't lock nor did the slider.. just side note you invested in solar why not invest in windows and sliding doors and upgrade the body room ac units. read more

Just a warning This hotel management will not act honorably. I paid $175 for a king suite and requested extra towels in the room. Towels were never there, nor did they ever come. There was never any sheets or blankets for the sleeper sofa and at 10 pm at night we did not want to wait the half hour for delivery so we ran to our cars and brought our own in. I prepaid for the room...but mgmnt decided to put a $200 hold on my credit card. I have been a Marriott rewards member for nearly seven years and I have never had a Marriott do that before. - No ice machines - be careful...no elevators for second floor I filed a complaint with the corporate office and they sent my complaint to the onsite management (where the problem was to begin with!) Of course this woman was full of excuses and had the audacity to blame ME! I currently work in VacaHell and really should not be surprised. The people here are lowclass and do not have a clue about customer service. Couldn't possibly have been happier with the quality of rooms, and the service here. Front desk ladies always greeted us happily and warmly, even acknowledging my toddler daughter which she loves. Then when we got home after our stay, over 5 hours away my daughter was distraught to realize we had left a stuffed bunny that was gifted to her by her late papa and assuming we'd never see it again, I figured I'd give it a try and ask if it was there, the front desk lady was an absolute doll and promptly found it in lost and found and put in the mail the same day. Horrible stay! Price for one night was $200 for a Courtyard! Woke up at 6am from all the none stop door slamming from the hallway. You can hear the people on the 2nd floor. Wanted a "staycation" for Valentine's Day away from kids.. booker last minute and was happy to still have availability, front desk was so helpful and polite definitely A+ hospitality, hotel is updated and clean, had a first floor room that opened right to the courtyard which had a hot tub/pool that was clean and was a nice treat, had a late night treat and cocktail in the bar the wings and margarita was so good and again had A+ customer service from the bar tender. I am very happy with staying here and will definitely recommend to others thank you for giving us a great stay on our Valentine's Day. read more

We received great service here and the staff was very helpful. One negative is that there is no elevator here, but it is only a two story building. We were kindly offered a room on the first floor when they saw that we had a lot of stuff considering our baby was with us. The hotel is conveniently located and you will be right across from the Vacaville Outlets. The lobby is very nice and a great space for hanging out with a Starbucks conveniently located there too. read more

We were in Napa for the day and didn't want to drive all the way back to Sacramento after the festival but the prices in Napa were steep for just needing a place to sleep. Located right off the freeway (at the 80 and 505), a short walk to restaurants (Olive Garden next door), close to the shopping outlets, and a great place to stay when visiting Cache Creek. Lots of free parking, nice and quiet. A BIG plus is the Bistro in the spacious and guest friendly lobby, which serves everything including a variety of alcoholic drinks (Mojito anyone?). Why go anywhere, when the cooked to order breakfast is big, hot, and delicious. I've stayed at other hotels in the area, and this is definitely THE BEST. A good mix of meeting rooms for small groups. Convenient between Sacramento and San Francisco near (I-80 and I-550). An Olive Garden, Mexican restaurant and outlet stores are within walking distance. Other restaurants are nearby. Includes a nicely prepared breakfast with sausage patties and real eggs (not packaged rolls and stale cereal). We stayed at here for a wedding party May 26th and the next day woke up with bed bug bites from head to toe (literally from head to toe! Unless you want to with bumps from bites all over your body i would not recommend staying there. The manager only denied that there were any bed bugs because she couldn't see anything. I have stayed quite often at the Courtyard, and I probably will again. I have few choices available to me and my travels bring me to Vacaville often. Bistro, Front Desk and Housekeeping staff are all great. They do a good job at living up to the Marriott service tradition. This is partly why I hesitate to write such a negative review. I have seen much worse service in nicer properties than this Courtyard so here is an area where they really have excelled. The remodel really helped but even after the remodel most of the rooms still need attention. Some of the rooms just smell and they can't seem to get the smell out. The trick is to keep a list of the bad rooms and avoid them which doesn't really help you the reader except to assure you that there are rooms that don't stink and where the doors, windows, refrigerator, faucets and drains work, you just have to keep looking, and accept that no room will have everything working correctly. The courtyard facing rooms are quieter than the outside facing rooms and the second floor is only accessible by stairs, for this reason the upstairs rooms tend to be less used and in better shape. The Jacuzzi is so heavily chlorinated that it is unusable. They gym is very small but functional. I've used the laundry but needed to 'pre clean' the washer and dryer before I'd put my cloths in. What really prompted me to write this review was how management behaves. I regularly have incorrect room rates and fraudulent bistro charges on my receipt which I have to dispute, sometimes successfully other times not. Watch your bill closely, there are some awful people in the back office who have no qualms about stealing your money, lying, then fighting with you about it. I was once told "you get reimbursed for it anyway" as if I should collude with her to defraud my employer! A couple of well placed terminations and some classes in ethics would help this property avoid these sorts of reviews. We'll see if they listen. read more

This hotel is right across from the outlet shopping center. I was offered a free drink at the hotel bar. The room was clean. The portable crib was there when we arrive. No complimentary breakfast which has become a bigger deal when traveling with family. Not too far from Santa Rosa (Snoopy land). Front doors lock at 8pm until buzzed in by front desk staff. With only one front desk attendant on late at night this resulted in me being locked outside for half an hour due to an unruly wedding party monopolizing her time. No elevator to 2nd floor, hot water was not hot, and bistro staff were dismissive and unhelpful the following morning. Staff were otherwise accommodating and understanding of problems, but the logistics/staffing behind said problems made the experience bad enough that I'm probably switching away from Marriott for budget stays going forward. read more

Super clean and comfy room. Updated and looked really nice. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Rates were fantastic even for a weekend night! Very safe location, just across the street from the outlets! Staff was very friendly upon check in. The only cons are that the room was not pre-cooled and was a bit warm (we cranked the ac on high for a bit and solved the problem) and there is no continental breakfast. There is a bistro open for breakfast but for purchase only. Grabbing a quick continental breakfast before hitting the road would have been much better for us. read more

I had a business meeting here with my district and a chance to meet the new sales manager. The conference room we had was amongst the regular hotel rooms, so when the door was initially opened, you would see the flow of travelers with their wheelie luggage pass by. Air conditioning was set to frigid, and was from a wall-mount vent. We ordered in a for a "working lunch"; I had the turkey sandwich (with processed meat). Parking lot is free and has an oval-shape which looks like an a sports arena or skating rink with parking lot stripes. read more

2 floors and no elevator! I have a bad shoulder so I got stuck in a room facing the ugly parking lot and not the courtyard. Yuk. Not safe for single female I should think. Thin walls, could hear neighbors. Front desk clerk was nice but didn't go the extra step. Just a bunch of strip malls around. I miss the Nut Tree. I have had three main experiences with this hotel... 1st I was in high school and putting on a fashion show to raise money to buy prom dresses for girls who couldn't afford them, the hotel not only let us use their biggest conference room for this, they also gave us a second room for the girls to change and get ready in, and provided water pitchers and cups for the guests. It was truly above and beyond service. 2nd when my cousin was married the whole bridal party stayed the night before the wedding and then her and her husband stayed the night after, they were accommodating, friendly, and I have sent several people to stay there since. 3rd and lastly Storybook Memories Entertainment (a company I work for) put on a rather large tea party there for people to meet characters and enjoy a few crafts and goodies. Let me just say, we put them through so much, between lengthy emails and asking every possible question, and all the snowy and glittery decorations we used that i'm sure left a trail behind us, they were friendly and excited to see how everything turned out. They not only gave us a second little conference room for characters to rest in, in between sessions, they also gave us access to a hotel room so that the fairies and princesses didn't have to use the public restroom. I fully recommend this hotel for your stays as well as events! It has been a blast working with them! read more

This hotel has virtually no security in the parking lot. On June 17 we stayed at the Courtyard Vacaville and sometime during the night two windows were smashed on our car and several things stolen. The police who responded said that the hotels security cameras didn't see anything as there wasn't enough light. We were parked right next to one of the entrances and near a streetlight. The hotel has not offered to do anything except call the police, no apology, no offer of a ride to get our car repaired, nothing. I am Marriott Elite Platinum and have stayed at that hotel 10 nights so far this year. Never again, and never again at a Marriott other to use up my points, this is no way to treat a customer. read more

Pros - comfy bed, clean room, quiet, bistro in hotel, staff was very nice, safe area, close to work, pool and spa were nice size and clean, fridge and micro in room Cons - no stairs (however I was offered to have my bags brought up for me), no continental breakfast (but I was on a business trip so didn't mind charging my company card for breakfast), my key kept demagnetizing in my purse.
