What a great location! It's close to so much, and the lobby had multiple seating areas which was helpful. There's also a nice covering outside in case of bad weather. From emails asking if I wanted my room cleaned after I missed normal housekeeping hours due to do not disturb sign up, phone calls ensuring issues were resolved and staff who went above and beyond - I would stay here 10 times over. This location was ideal due to a convention at Javits Center - just a short walk away. I loved my room and was very comfortable my whole stay. I did have an issue with my room. Tony, a manager, quickly sent maintenance up and submitted a room change. I am very pleased with my stay and how I was treated by staff. read more

Courtyard Midtown West was nice and clean, with a great location. Near the train station, Hudson Yards, and midtown Manhattan. We could see The Edge from our window. The shower pressure was strong and the bathroom was spacious however the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Some of the staff members were nice but others were rude and seemed bothered. The lobby and hotel interior is gorgeous. I was disappointed that the hotel didn't have complimentary water, every hotel I stayed at in NYC has given me water. Luckily there is a bodega around the corner from the hotel that has drinks, snacks, and sandwiches. read more

The front desk person Maria is so condescending, that I question if this was a real Marriott hotel. I heard 2 loud fire alarm beeps in my room the first night I checked in around 9:30pm. It was so loud that my ears had gone num, and I was just terrified to hear the 3rd alarm, not able to rest. So I called the front desk, Maria picked up. She was so condescending that I think she didn't believe me. But why would I lie about such things? She only offered to send someone to come check, instead of helping me to move to a new room. After I insisted to moving to a new room, she then demanded that I go downstairs myself, get the keys, and go to my new room. At this point my dinner room service has arrived. What kind of service is this? She refused to have her manager speak to me, and she refused to give me her full name. This is the absolute worst service I have received from a Marriott hotel. read more

My college bestie and I chose this place for our Cinco de Mayo weekend. This was our first visit to New York since covid. After reading the reviews on Yelp, we decided this was perfect for us, and I booked it right away. I requested an early check-in, and although it's not guaranteed, I got a text at 1:30 letting me know that my keys were ready for me. There's complimentary WiFi. Ice machines are on the odd floors. A restaurant was on the lower level. I didn't get a chance to check it out. It's a short Uber ride to Penn Station. I actually walked - 10 minutes! Hudson Yards is a block away. We got to go the Edfe observatory. Worth it if you're ever in this area! I checked in with Tristin. She was professional, but she could have been a bit more warm and engaging. She didn't even ask if I was a member. I had to bring it up. My encounter with Leyane was better. I had accidentally deactivated my room keys, and she was so helpful. We had an excellent experience at our one-night stay in New York at this hotel, mostly in part to Aditya who really made us feel welcomed by not only calling us about an early check-in (after we inquired and left our bags with them at the front desk) to also instructing us on where we could get ready for brunch (since we couldn't check in yet) to ALSO allowing us a late check-out which was also extremely helpful for us. He went above & beyond to give us a problem-free experience here and his smile and generosity went a long way. Also, his nails slayed - Periodt! The hotel itself was very modern and easy to navigate, and the room's themselves were very clean, modern, and comfortable. For the price point, location, and friendly service... I'd definitely recommend this hotel. The only negative on our entire stay was that we accidentally parked our car with the wrong parking management company/garage so we ended up paying an arm & a leg to get it out the next day compared to what should have been a $50 overnight price. I was very impressed with my stay here! It's in a safe location, right next to Hudson Yards. It's also super close to the Lincoln tunnel, which makes it easy to get in and out of the city. The hotel honored my silver status and allowed us to check in early and check out late. We got 2 hotel rooms. One was bigger than the other. The bigger room had a lot of extra space on the sink counter and the shower had a glass door. It also had a large sofa to relax in. The smaller room didn't have the extra bathroom counter space and had a bath tub/shower combo with a shower curtain. I'm glad I stayed in the bigger room because the extra space made it a lot less claustrophobic. Everything seemed clean and I appreciated the slippers and robe. Made the hotel feel much more luxurious. My only complaint is the mini fridge sucked! It's impossible to store food in the room because the fridge only stays on for 2 hours at a time. You have to turn it on every two hours, to prevent the fridge from going into low power / not cool mode. Annoying. I'd consider coming back here on my next trip to nyc, if I am sure I won't need to put food in the fridge. Or if they resolve the mini fridge issue. read more

Location is absolutely perfect. I love Hudson Yards. It was literally down the block from the Shops. I came at a bad time because fitness center was not finished renovating and the weather that weekend was horrible. I tried to change my room because the floor I was on, was very loud. Unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate as they were full. I had major issues with housekeeping. Standard housekeeping hours are 730-430 and they were just not punctual. They threw away unnecessary items and an item went missing from my room. I woke up one of the night with two bug bites on my leg and I'm not sure where it came from or if it was bed bugs. Although the hotel is "newly renovated," its actually not that clean... I did not feel welcomed upon check-in and the communication via Marriott app was a bit lacking. I wanted to love this place and had high expectations. Unfortunately, it didn't do it for me. read more

The bar downstairs is nothing special but was convenient for a night cap and morning coffee. The location to the 7 train/purple line is great but a little farther from the blue line. I had a great experience here, from check in to check out. It's across the street from the Hudson yard, super convenient to the Hudson River, great restaurants and for work travel accommodations. Everyone was super nice, the hotel bar and restaurant have great food, kind employees and managers. Rooms are clean and mine was super quiet! Beds and pillows are comfortable. While they don't have morning coffee or refillable water stations, they help you out at the dining space. The gym is under reconstruction but you also have plenty of gym options or walking/running on the river. read more

The room, pillows, bathroom, television, and staff were all top draw as one would expect at a Marriott property. The coffee in the room along with creamer and sugar was sub-par like a cheap hotel. The check-in staff was extremely helpful. I recommend shying away from the hotel's restaurant if you desire a coffee and Danish in the morning leave the hotel take a left and enjoy the Old Country Coffee shop 25 paces away from the hotel. Amazing amazing property!! This hotel just recently opened up in NYC. Not only is it beautiful and modern but it has the perfect location. Penn Station and other midtown staples are super close by! Shout out to DK at the front desk who was very professional and courteous during check in and check out. He was also extremely friendly and charming. The hotel itself is super clean and elegant. Our room was gorgeous and even had a fridge inside. The shower was also amazing! The entire stay at this hotel will have you feeling like you are living in some fancy executive suite. No doubt in my mind I would stay there again! The only downside is that there is no free breakfast included. I really would have loved a complimentary breakfast the next day, but nonetheless this beautiful hotel is definitely a winner in my book! read more

The stay here was reasonable until I was checking out and got a bill for double my confirmed reservation rate. When asked about it, I was told my rate had "expired" but they made no effort to notify me prior to the trip or even at check-in. The Westin (a nicer sister property) down the street was significantly cheaper than what I was charged. It's a really disappointing interaction, and it's impossible to get anyone at Marriott corporate to deal with it. read more

Fantastic, newly opened Marriott Courtyard located steps from Hudson Yards. Lots of bright open space an multi levels. Plenty of room to spread out, meet, just hangout. Great areas for workspace both open and private spaces. Not a huge variety at the lower level snack bar. Basic coffee (not good) and packaged yogurt cups and such. Rooms were nice. Tight space around the bed and up against the wall ( we had a king). We had a bad experience with the heating unit in our room on the 4th floor. Couldn't get it to go below 81 degrees, couldn't turn it off manually. Rough night, and it couldn't be fixed so they moved us to the room right above. Chalk it up to opening month glitches. Theres lots of staff on hand. Also the elevators were acting up - but there were always 2 operating. Anime convention was happening at the Javits Center (also walking distance from hotel) so lots of weirdly dressed characters in and around the hotel. All in all a good experience! I'll. Be. This post is about the people as much as the place. We travel to manhattan twice or three times a year. This location is superb for what we need since it's close to the Javits Center, the Hudson Yard, and the Korean town. The staff members at this location are all really amazing. They genuinely want to help. We typically would have packages pre-shipped over and Jimmy would always give us a quick notification. At the front desk are friendly faces of Natasha, Arianna, and Naija-Li. It takes a lot of inner strength to keep up with demanding guests and still maintain positive interactions!! They work fast, efficient, and as a team. Our waiting time is typically very nominal kudos to management team, too, for effectively predicting incoming volume with proper staffing! We sometimes would bring our children and book another room. During high-demand seasons, Natasha was able to really help us by putting our rooms close together on the same floor. Thank you!! If you're ever dining downstairs, please ask for Eloisa, she's been at the restaurant for years and is very very helpful, warm, and accommodating! BUG INFESTED HOTEL - BEWARE: Nice hotel at face value but unsatisfactory cleaning practices. I booked a one night stay at this hotel because it was affordable and close enough to major attractions but I 100% regret booking this hotel. When I checked into my hotel room I immediately went to my room, sat down at the desk to check my email, and work for the rest of the afternoon. I look up to see beetles crawling around on the curtains. When I went downstairs to explain the situation they reluctantly gave me a new room. In retrospect, this should've been a red flag and I should've gone to a new hotel all together. The rest of the evening was uneventful. However the next morning I woke up around 6am to find BED BUGS crawling around on my pillow. How disturbing. I packed up my stuff and went to the front desk to again explain the situation with room number TWO. While they were sympathetic they said they couldn't refund my room or offer any compensation immediately because I was to check out that morning and the general manager wasn't working that day. They didn't offer any kind of solution aside from "expect an email from our team later today". By this time it was 6:45am and I had nowhere else to go in the city so I sat at Whole Foods for hours until it was time to catch my train. Management did in fact send me an email saying they were looking into the situation. I've reached out to 3 times since my stay and NOTHING. No response, not even an apology. I can't express how disappointed I am in Marriott. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anybody. read more

A,C, E train station is with in 10 minutes away. Hotel has a great spacious lobby area. Friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel is pet friendly, so that is a plus. Room was spacious, big bathroom, and views of 34th st. (My room had that view) am aware that there some rooms with views of midtown as well as Empire State Building, however, I had a pet, so the pet floor is the lower floors. Great stay. Great hotel. IF I could give zero stars I would! Unfortunately I had a horrible stay at Midtown WEST!. I was there 11-22/11-24 . I had 3 rooms under my reservation I paid for room and tax ONLY!!! on all rooms, BUT the adults in each room would pay for incidentals with their own credit cards, that was explained before I arrived and I also confirmed when we arrived (ADI) front desk agent, said it wouldn't be a problem. Boy was He wrong!!! John G.- checked in room 1701 without a problem. Jessey- checked in room 1709 and charged MY card for room, tax , and incidentals which he WAS NOT supposed to, he also charged the other Adult's card $200 for incidentals, Allen- checked in room 705 which was not a part of my reservation, and I wasn't present to tell him to do so, he also charged my card room, tax, and incidentals plus the other Adult's card $200 for incidentals. Mariah (the manager) She was very helpful, very polite and very professional, also (Adi) checked me in he was very polite, and professional, no problems at all. Mariah reversed the charges that were fraudulently made they call them mistakes I call them FRAUD!!!!!! THEY were recklessly using my card over $1300 was held on my card and I didn't authorize a dime!!! Mariah also gave me a credit of $80 which Jeffrey (the supervisor) returned it back to the hotel because I didn't use it, he said it could ONLY be used at that hotel at that visit. ALEX (supervisor) she was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY NASTY, she was horrible with a bad attitude, she called my phone and threatened to use my card for extra fees even though (Mariah had already resolved and reversed the issues. Beautiful, clean rooms. Definitely on the smaller side, but that's NYC for you. The lobby is very beauty and during this pandemic you can really tell they are following strict cleaning protocols. Now the location is unbelievable. In actual walking distance to so many popular sights. And if where you're going is not close-- the T is just a few blocks away. We loved staying here and would love to return. The floor to ceiling windows made for some beautiful views and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Only things I'd say weren't the best was the mini fridge- so tiny and very unreliable temps, no microwave, tv gave us lots of issues, and most of our view was blocked by new building across the street undergoing construction-- But it's NYC and this happens everywhere. Room was clean/updated with a nice view. On our checkout day, the alarm in our room went off at 6am. We hadn't set it, so it was set by the cleaning staff. This was a rude awakening after getting in late after a concert the night before. So, beware-- check your alarm clock before you go to bed. Last, the room next to us had a party. The bass from their music vibrated the wall our beds were connected to. We called down to the front desk twice over two hours and nothing was done. They were too busy finding lost bags of other customers. I woke up early to use the gym to find out there is no gym - it's undergoing construction - t but no one mentioned it during check in. Despite stopping by the day before to confirm my room request, I was still not given the room I had requested. I feel that the staff lied to me three times (Called while reservation, stopped by the day before, and while checking in) just to secure a reservation from me, and when I asked to speak to the manager about the issue, I was told to wait for a call that I never received - the fourth lie. We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Midtown location. The main lobby has a nice open space with a modern appearance. The room was small but clean and with a comfortable bed. Location is close to the Hudson yards - one block away to be exact which was a plus because we had tickets to the Edge. Staff were friendly and helpful except with the details of fees when parking your vehicle. They'd told me the parking was $35 which was okay with us. Then we went to park up the car, I'd provided the parking barcode sticker from Marriott, it was $50. We didn't mind paying the $50 but just communicate that information to us - that's all we ask. Marriott's staff communication was lacking. I didn't want to bother going back to Marriott so just paid it. Folks do yourself a favor and ask for clarification when parking your vehicle. Okay now to the bar on the lower floor. Guess what? we'll save you the trip and don't even bother. Seriously. We ordered 2 cocktails that were more like Kool-Aide with ice. What a shame. We quickly left and decided to walk over to 9th Avenue and spent a couple of hours at a place called "Break Bar". Marriott guests who want a nice cocktail drink, head over there - you won't regret it. Trust us. We recommend staying at the Marriott Courtyard except pay attention to we'd mentioned. read more

Let me start by saying that I am very picky with hotels after staying in so many due to work. Courtyard Marriott you were perfection. I loved the modern decor, the greenery, and the paintings. The room was spectacular. I now feel like I need to renovate the bathroom in my house and make it look like courtyard Marriott one( so beautiful). The fluffy pillows and the good quality of bed sheets was everything for me. It's hard when you sleep on a bed that's not your own, but I wasn't disappointed here.I like that they had Netflix that was an added bonus.Next time I will definitely take advantage of their cafe and grab breakfast. We talked with front desk in the morning she said she will check for then till few hours later we talked with another front desk he said they can look for if we can wait there. Booking a hotel in NYC can be a hit or miss, even with a large hotel chain. In my extensive waiting for a good one to pop up and research, as a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was pleased to see this brand new hotel in Hudson Yards open up as an option fitting my travel requirements. My family, consisting of me, my husband and our twin 1 year old kids, wanted to spend a night in the City to do some quick Holiday exploring. On the website, I saw that, aside from being newly opened, this hotel was close to Hudson Yards, a quick ride from Time Square, Herald Square, Penn Station, etc. You're right in the thick of the action when you want to be but far enough away to have some "space" and "quiet". It's right across the river from Hoboken so if you're coming and going from New Jersey, like we did, it's a convenient cross through the Lincoln Tunnel. The hotel is only 1 block from the Hudson Yard Subway entrance and about 2-3 (?) blocks from Penn Station. Late night food options might be a little limited around here but if you walk a bit you're bound to find something. The hotel has a cafe and a bar on the bottom floor as well as lots of lounge/meeting space -- it's definitely a business oriented hotel but I did find it comfortable for traveling couples/families. I was worried we would be a tight squeeze, especially with the Pack & Play. But, Kevin (great customer service!) accommodated us with a corner room with a King bed, small couch, and room for TWO Pack and Plays (despite the website saying only one will fit). There was surprisingly lots of space for the kids to run around and it was actually fairly "baby proof". The bathroom was nice, comfy, and the rain showerhead was relaxing (although the drain a little noisy). We were also generously afforded a late check out, per the goodness of Kevin's heart, which was quite helpful, especially given the rain and snow squall we encountered getting ready to leave. Usually they will only give you until 2PM if possible, they may charge a full night rate if you go until 4PM. Bear in mind, there's no valet/curb service but they do have luggage carts available to load and the front desk (aka Kevin for us) will bring your bags upstairs for you if you request. I also want to give acknowledgement of service to Ashley and the Assistant Manager (Asian lady with the long blonde hair)-- plus everyone else at the front desk-- everyone is super nice and amiable to the guests-- even in dealing with some difficult situations which I saw with other guests. I think we've found our new "go-to" hotel in the City! FYI- this hotel is only a block away from the Peloton Offices/Studios, if you Millennials looking for your workouts live. read more
