This little restaurant is an absolute gem! it's a modest little establishment tucked directly behind home goods. The decor is very much early 1970's. Tile floors with 14 formica tables & 7 swivel counter seating & cute memorabilia all around! It's adorable! It's very CLEAN too. The food is fabulous & priced extremely reasonably. They serve breakfast all day! They also offer delicious lunch items ranging from pot roast, American chop suey to patty melts. They have an array of wonderful chalk board specials daily! The staff are lovely. I have been going weekly for 2+ yrs & i have had nothing but kind, helpful, courteous, efficient service. Not sure why they accuse staff of being rude. The cook is a quiet, kind & genteel man. Perhaps ppl should pay a bit more attention & just be polite & kind to others instead of making snap judgements. Open only until 2 pm (sunday 1 pm). Old school diner - that's the best way I can think of to describe this place. I had to reference google maps 2-3 times to make sure I was in the right place. It's in a strip mall, but it's in a hidden away corner with a dead-end, you literally wouldnt walk past this place at all. Cash only, straight forward breakfast menu with plenty of egg options and some daily specials. The ladies that staff this place are very friendly and attentive. The weekend waitress, Sue is a detriment to your business. She yells at clients that she doesn't like, she mutters nasty things about them under her breath after they pay and they are on their way out. She is outright insulting and RUDE. I know help is hard to find, but treating your regulars that way is not good for your business. I would dismiss her immediately. The other waitress is fine, and the food is excellent. We have recently had the pleasure of enjoying delicious breakfast and lunch at the Courtyard Restaurant. The food was outstanding both times. I had an egg white vegetable omelet and my husband had corned beef has and egg. Best egg white omelet I've had in town period and for less than half the price. Dean said his hash and egg were excellent and again - the price was ridiculously low. For lunch, he had corned beef chowder and corn bread - both excellent. I had lobster roll, ff and coleslaw. Again the food was perfect, delicious and the prices were unbelievably low. The waitress is the owners daughters and she is as sweet and as accommodating as anyone could imagine. We complimented the owner and thanked him for such a great alternative to the $50 breakfast for two restaurants. He did say he's trying to hold prices down but he anticipates a small increase in the near future. Fifty per cent increase would still be a bargain. If you have not yet given this hidden gem a try, I encourage you to do so. You will not be disappointed. Located at the opposite end of the Stop and Shop plaza. read more

I visited for breakfast today for the first time since they opened...I'm not sure how I overlooked them all these yeses, but I had been missing out! I was welcomed with uncommonly friendly service, a breakfast of the highest quality, and excellent value. It was nice to see that this is a place where many regulars gather, and "everybody knows your name!" I do believe I will become one of them. I had the special chocolate chip pancakes and kielbasa. Both were delicious. The ladies were very attentive to my coffee cup, and were friendly, making small talk. This is a very cool place. I am only sorry I did not discover it sooner! read more

I've been here for breakfast and also for lunch. Their prices are fantastic and the food very good! I believe they have a "special of the day" every day for lunch. My friends and I heard they had a wonderful pot roast lunch on Thursdays, and we weren't disappointed. It's a little tricky to find. It's tucked back in a little "courtyard" setting near Stop & Shop. I have a soft spot for this restaurant because I remember loving their cheeseburger and curly fries as a kid and then shopping at the stores in the plaza (When Caldoors, Gap, Weathervane were there back in the day) it honestly never changed.
