Always nice stay, very nice staff and interior. Just wish the place got detailed a bit more. It was dusty (furniture by the AC) and bathroom faucet wasn't checked.

Excellent food provided by Marriott's Head Chef. I would come here for dinner if it were an option.

EVENT REVIEW I recently attended a wedding event at this Courtyards location and I just had to share my experience. Once upon a time we exclusively used Courtyard by Marriott for all of our hotel travel needs. Although it's been years since we've done an overnight stay, I remember how much we always enjoyed breakfast. So it didn't surprise me that the food prepared for the wedding by the hotel chef was good. However, it did surprise me that it was so good I would easily be a regular here for dinner if they were a restaurant. GREAT VENUE If you are considering a venue for a wedding or corporate function and food taste/quality is important, this location should be high on your list. We were served a garden salad, rolls, amazing green bean w/almonds, delicious butter noodles, the best garlic mashed red potatoes I've ever tasted and really delicious sliced ham. If that were the entire meal I would have been completely happy, however the final item on the menu was chicken alfredo and it was Uuuh-Ma-Zing. It honestly makes no sense to me that this incredible chef creates meals like this in a chain hotel. I was blown away by his excellent cooking and I am pretty confident that I'm not over-hyping the food. I will admit I had fairly low expectations, but even if they were high they would have been exceeded. The wedding consisted of about 70 guests and ran smoothly (in my opinion) using the in-house events coordinator. There were a few discrepancies between the bride and the event coordinator concerning things promised, so my advice would be to get everything in writing prior to committing to this venue... which only makes sense. THE VERDICT Great location for small event planning. Yelp100[79]

Eh. The Hilton garden inn next door is better. The pool was mediocre. No towels. Room had trash cans but no liners. Cup lids with no cups.

They had water and a cookie tray out at check-in with the coffee makers out all day. The breakfast was also decent (standards like eggs, sausage, pancake maker, oatmeal, bagels, etc.) so you need not worry about spending money to go out for breakfast. Plenty of dinner options nearby in a short drive or walking distance. The price was also pretty reasonable and was centrally located to my needs. If I am back in the area, I would definitely return to this Holiday Inn.

She was wearing a pin that prompted me to ask. I had a King suite and the room was super clean and sizeable. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Likely due to the friendliness and smiling face and attention to detail of Maria, one of their housekeeping associates. I had the free breakfast on my check out date this morning and it was a pretty nice selection of fresh menu items from bagels, toast, yogurts, milk, meats, eggs, hashbrowns, fresh fruit, oatmeal, juices and coffees. I requested late check out the morning of, just needed an extra half hour to finish up a meeting, and Caleb at the front desk did not hesitate to accommodate me. He was friendly, personable and engaging when I checked out and that goes a long way, especially since I also come from a customer-service industry. On another note, tons of restaurants and shopping in the area, and if you're coming from out of the area, this is only 30 minutes from Clearwater and local beaches and a short 45 from St Pete/Madeira/Johns Pass/Treasure Island. Go have dinner at Mystic Fish. AMAZING seafood. I will definitely stay here again, and this particular IHG hotel will be my #1 choice when I return to the area.

They have an identity crisis. They want to be a premier resort and spa, but the facilities just don't support it. They could play up the historic side, but the renovations, remodels, and upgrades don't support that. The locations and grounds are great! On the water, beautifully maintained grounds. The main restaurant offers a typically hotel menu, but with so many restaurants in walking distance the competition is rough. There really is no organic, clean, vegetarian, healthy menu you find at most premier resort spas. The spa itself hasn't changed since my last visit, and when viewed through the nostalgic lens, feels much better. The spa treatments and techs are still amazing. Actually, I recognized several employees across the resort and spa from a couple years ago. The people you interact with are great and customer focused. It's the people you don't see or interact with that bring the place down. The repair men, the remodelers, building maintenance - they just do poor work. Every toilet I flushed would drip from the bottom of the tank when flushed. Poorly patched and painted wall damage, elevators with gouges and scratches all through the inside. Two side by side light switches, but the left one controls the right side of the bathroom, the right switch controls the left. The wall plate is crooked with an unpatched space under it. It's the little annoyances, the lack of attention to details that hold this place back. My updated balcony room was great overall and just what I hoped for. They still double charge for resort amenities and they still are the nicest resort and spa in Safety Harbor.

I also appreciated that the TV wasn't on truemotion like a lot of hotels seem to do these days. Small detail, but noticeable. The pillows were surprisingly comfortable as well, although the bed itself was a bit too firm for my liking. I did like the "home away from home" feel that Residence Inns usually provide, even though I've stayed at nicer Residence Inn properties before. Parking was convenient overall, but I could see it becoming tight on a busy weekend, possibly forcing guests to park across near the Courtyard. Not a huge issue, just something to note. The downsides were mainly the shower taking quite a while to get warm and the breakfast being very average and forgettable. Also, the staff didn't really make the stay feel memorable. As a Marriott elite member, it would've been nice to at least receive some acknowledgment or a warmer welcome during check-in. Not a bad stay by any means, but also not one that really stood out.

One day it was pretty warm, and we let the front desk agent know, but she didn't know how to fix it. The outdoor pool was open 9 am to 9 pm so just outside a window where we could use it. Overall, no major complaints. It was a comfortable stay.

We won't stay here again…read more The photos look nice and, in general, it's okay. Here's what you should know: There is still musty carpet in the rooms. The A/C takes hours to cool the room down. There was a loud leak behind the walls in our bathroom. The toilet was not sealed to the ground so it rocked if you sat on it. The A/C had a loud constant rattle when it was on. The bathroom had no fan so anyone in the room can hear you using the bathroom. It also had no dimmable or soft light options so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you only have a bright light to turn on. If you look over the balcony you can see the rectangular pool, but when you sit on the chairs you only see townhouses across the street. If you can overlook those things, then here are the positives: The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge. The parking garage was small, but well-lit & you must use your room key to use the elevator, which is a nice safety feature. The room doors have a peep hole, but you also get a peephole cover so no one can look into your room. Once the room was cooled, it was nice to rest on their comfy bed. They have breakfast & a little shopette. Here is why we won't stay here again: The manager never called me about our terrible last night's stay. The last night of our stay, the next room over had a screaming kid & baby. All.night.long. I mean nonstop & it was impossible to sleep. By 3:30am we called the front desk & they said they would check on them. At 4am we called again because it didn't stop. I called & spoke with Kylie. She wasn't helpful & instead of apologizing or offering to move us, she only said "alright" before hanging up when I let her know that I would call back if it continues. When we shared our experience at the front desk the next day, the lady apologized, but that was it. I asked if they could do something for us, so she retrieved an older lady. That lady said that she can't offer anything but the general manager would be in on Monday & would call me then. Never received a call.

Whether it's pricing, cleanliness, customer service or location, I have nothing but good things to say. Consistency is key with anything & I can confidently say I've had nothing but good experiences in all the times I've stayed here. Most importantly, this hotel is clean. Whether it's the lobby, hallways, rooms or any of the common areas, it always seems tidy. House keeping does a great job at tending to the rooms, making sure the place is kept spotless. Of course, there's been times where I've had to wipe a countertop off that got overlooked, but generally speaking, they're on it here. They're also in a great location when it comes to visiting from out of town. They're less than 5 minutes from Honeymoon Island State Park, 10 minutes from downtown Dunedin & they're surrounded by delicious restaurants. In fact, they practically share a parking lot with one of the best seafood joints in all of Clearwater. You get free parking here, there's a nice pool, the gym is solid (but currently being renovated) & they have a pretty good complimentary breakfast. Coffee & hot tea is offered in the lobby 24/7. Honors members also get 2 bottles of water upon check-in which is always one of my favorite freebies. Overall, this hotel makes visiting a treat every time. The incredibly comfortable beds, quiet surroundings & nice staff are all you could ask for when traveling.

I thought I booked the hotel for two nights instead of one. On what I thought was my second day, I…read morereceived a call from the Hotel asking me when I was planning on checking out because they needed to clean my room. I told them that I thought I had booked two nights. They said no and that I had to immediately return to the hotel and get my stuff. Mind you I was having lunch with clients at the time. I asked the hotel to just add a night to my stay but they said that they were sold out and they were getting $800 for rooms that night due to demand. So I dropped everything I was doing and got an Uber back to the hotel to throw all my stuff together and find another hotel. Something the HIlton Garden Inn Tampa Oldsmar could have done as aa courtesy. They could have recommended other Hilton properties in the area but they chose not to. So My customer called around and found the Hampton Inn in Dunedin had a room. It was $348. I was still charged a late fee of $200 for late checkout which was primarily due to trying to find another hotel and negotiate the late fee. The published late fee is $40 to $60 by the way but apparently individual properties can do whatever they want. I called corporate and they said yeah that is fine. Local properties can have whatever polices they want and their customers just have to deal with that. So lets review the charges. $221 for one night plus a $226 late fee plus UBER and leaving clients during a meeting, etc. After several calls that weren't returned by the property and several long painful calls to HIlton corporate nothing was done to honor the published late fees (because keep in mind the properties can do whatever they want and we should love that). I then paid $348 for the Hampton Inn in Dunedin because The Hilton Garden Inn had no rooms for me. But they did apparently get $800 for my room that I hastily exited in addition to my $447 dollars so $1227 total for one night. Great job by Lee the General Manager/ Operations Manager of pulling down some serious profit for the property. Stupid me spent $348 in Dunedin the next night. If you stay here or any Hilton property apparently, please print out the local properties policies and have your lawyer review them just in case you may accidentally violate one of them. Hilton thinks this is a reasonable request.
