She really listened, helped me identify activities that could irritate my back, and gave me practical waves to prevent flare-ups. The core exercises she introduced made a huge difference. I went from a flare-up every couple months to not having any at all. The team members were all knowledgeable and consistent in my care. I was able to ride ATVs again and prepare myself for my first dance at my wedding. I have been able to work out again as well. My doctor referred me to Coury and Buehler for my heal pain. I was so impressed with this facility. They have a patient portal so you can see your appointments and fill out paper work online. There is an app that has the list of the exercises assigned by the physical therapist with short videos. The employees are friendly and polite. In particular, my therapist, Dr Guzman was excellent! He was patient and kind. He explained the reasons for the exercises. Fern often helped lead me through the exercises. He was friendly and joyful! I had an elbow dislocation and was in a splint longer than I should have been before I was able to get it removed. I had very little movement and some pain as well. Scheduling my appointments was easy and the front desk staff was friendly. They even greeted me by name a few time, which felt very welcoming! Libbie was my miracle worker, though. She knows her stuff and was also an excellent listener. She answered all of my questions and we even got to chat about things other than my elbow. :) I felt like she cared about me as a person and was invested in my recovery. A friend referred me to Coury & Buehler after I injured my knee. Jeffrey did my evaluation and Vanessa took over from there. All the therapists and assistants at CBPT were very kind and helpful. I was grateful to be able to do most of my work with Vanessa. She is always willing to listen and takes the time to explain things to me. I cannot say enough good things about this facility in Irvine! Libbie was my therapist for what I thought was a lower back issue, but she diagnosed as a sacroiliac joint issue. Her massage and exercise regimen helped me out so much! After 3 months, the pain in my lower back and tailbone area was virtually gone! The facility is very clean, and reception and the staff are very friendly. I always felt comfortable working out there. Second time using Coury & Buehler, this time for Achilles tendonitis in the Woodbridge location in Irvine, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful these folks are. Annie is a genius, she predicted an issue that none of my doctors had considered and altered the treatment plan to address the pain first. Everyone I have dealt with is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional and the facility is set up for quite well. It's a breeze to set up and cancel appointments and the app with all the exercises to do at home is very user friendly, even for Boomers, and even has a timer. This is my third time with CBPT, always helped by Libbie, one of their best DPT. It is so easy to make appoint with a simple email and follow phone call. New facility on Discover, Irvine at the first floor is the best ensign for me to walk in especially that I was having severe hip pain and even at the heavy rainy day which is so unusual in Irvine, CA USA. CBPT improve their way of sending exercise material via APP instead of giving out hard copy, Very convent for me to do it back home. I've been coming here to the new location of C&B since it first opened. I started at the other Irvine location but this one is even more convenient and close to where I live, and less traffic to get there too. Everything is also BRAND NEW! I was happy to be introduced to Libbie as my therapist. I had a range of issues, but after the first few sessions, not only was there immediate relief, Libbie also teaches you how to maintain and manage your symptoms if they ever come back. If you are coming back from a major surgery or even just need to work out a small issue, Coury and Buehler will not only relieve your pain, but give you the tools and knowledge you need to do it yourself. Highly recommend going to CBPT for a sports or any injury. I was nervous from how painful my injury was that I might need surgery but Libbie quickly showed me what the issue was and how to fix it. If you are looking for physical therapy with a high quality of care from a team of professional, welcoming, personable, and highly motivated individuals, CBPT is the place to go. I read some negative reviews for other locations since this location is still fairly new, but frankly I did not have any of those issues mentioned. Everything about this place has been positive in my experience. The facility is also quite new and everything is clean and hygienic. Read further for the long review.. I was referred by my Dr. to CBPT to treat my shoulder pain. Prior to this I have never gone to a PT for treatment. My review is based on my experience so far after coming for over 12 sessions. Firstly, I must say that I have never received such excellent care in any medical related appointments before coming here. From the first day (and on every single visit), the friendly receptionists always welcomed me by name before I even stepped foot past the front door. Not a lot of places do that unless you are some sort of VIP member or flying in first class. Making appointments in person or by phone was a breeze as well, and billing was never an issue for me. I cannot speak highly enough about the PTs. Nene has been my primary PT since day one, and in many ways she has been phenomenal in doing her best to treat my shoulder pain, all the while showing genuine care for my recovery progress and my overall well being. During my initial evaluation, she was very thorough in examining my condition, explaining the process and steps to full recovery, and answering all my questions patiently. I did not feel rushed unlike most of my experiences I've had with doctors and nurses. She was professional and knew exactly what she was doing. During each therapy session, she always made sure to clean everything before starting. Again, without rushing she would always check my current condition, keeping me accountable in doing my daily exercises, then adjust and explain the hands-on therapy she's applying to help me gradually get better. Every visit thus far has been slightly different so I felt it was truly a customized experience. Any time I tell her about certain pain felt from a specific movement, she would adjust my exercise program accordingly so that it's very targeted and effective. There were 3 weeks I had to skip PT because of travelling, so she especially prepared me during therapy and adjusted my exercise program right before I left so that I would continue to improve on my own. In addition, she is down to earth and pleasant to work with so it never felt like a drag to go to my appointments, and I might add I even look forward to them. I also had a couple sessions with Jeff and Vanessa, both of whom were just as wonderful to work with. All the PTs can be quite busy at times attending to all the patients, but that does not falter them from giving their best care for the patients. It is apparent that they work as a team, because even during the time I saw a different PT than my primary one, I did not experience any discontinuity in my therapy and my shoulder improvement. The quality of care I received from all the PTs is truly exceptional. Last but not least, I have to give a shout-out to the aides who guided me through all the exercises in every session. In particular, Malcom and Courtney have been a pleasure to work with. Despite being so busy at times, you can tell they really try their best to attend to my needs and give proper guidance to ensure that I do the exercises correctly. They are also super friendly and motivating, which actually made the exercise experience more fun. My shoulder is about 85% better now and I can put on a jacket or lift heavy objects without pain! If you're looking for physical therapy and you want to receive high quality care from genuine professionals who don't treat you like another "case" on file, look no further. read more
